Peace proposal deleted prematurely?

I am almost certain that the voting on my Peace proposal was supposed
to end today. Therefore, unless it was out of order, it shouldn't have been deleted.

Was there something wrong with this proposal, according to NS rules?
If so I would like to know. I don't want to keep submitting it if it is going to be deleted. I think this happened the first time, also and someone suggested I resubmit.

Can you post the proposal here? Might be useful.

EDIT: also see this topic (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=77286).

In order to further the causes of peace and tolerance, this resolution hereby establishes a Department of Peace for the United Nations.

All nations are free to participate or not as they see fit.

The UN Department of Peace shall explore various methods to end war and establish peace on the planet, such as voluntary disarmament, peace treaties between nations, researching the possibility of a universal language for the planet, and other ways to increase tolerance and understanding between nations.

Hm. I was gonna say wrong category, myself. Looks more like it'd cause disarmament, as opposed to increased democracy.

Seems like there are a lot of rules to UN proposals. Not complaining, just seems that way.

There have to be "a lot of rules" because people keep coming up with new and improved ways of getting around the existing ones. Much like Common Law, it's a constantly-evolving thing.

That proposal went by the board for two reasons. First it was in favour of "establishing the Department of Peace", which is a game mechanics issue. Rather nit-picking, but that was one reason. The other was, as previously mentioned by someone else, that it was more a "disarmament" issue than a "furtherment of democracy" one.

I overlooked the categorization when I endosed it.

Gahh talk about double-standards on my part.

Makes a lot of sense. I am sure that the majority of heavy UN players are glad it keeps me from their neck of the woods.
