UN Moderator

I know that this has been sugested before, but it was in tech, and I seem to recall that no mods saw it before it sank.
Enodia has trouble sorting through all of the proposals, and deleting inappropriate ones or ones in the wrong category.
What if you granted a forum mod (or promoted a new mod [I know that people have been pushing for Loop to be a mod, and it seems like to me that Corinthe or Kandarin might be good at this]) powers just to delete/change the category of UN proposals, sort of like Salusa ha FM powers only in tech?
This would make things easier on Enodia, and would get rid of propsals that are written in Orwellian doublespeak or
(forgive me if this is flaming) but just plain dumb.
Would this be plausible?
I can see that power abuse might be a problem, but certainly if that happens you will get complaints and can then try to decide if they are legitimate.
Edit:ed because I misspelled "moderator"
All this means more coding for [violet] and she's already overworked.

Are you sure that there is no form that the use to check which privledges mods get?
It's all coded into the site.
There's a Forum Mod, Forum Admin, Game Mod, and Game Admin.
Forum mods can delete/edit/move posts.
Forum admins can ban users, edit forums, add forums, etc.
Game mods can delete nations, boot them out of the UN et.
Game admin = [violet]
For every new type of mod, she has to spend hours coding it into NS.

I know that this is stupid since usually when people make such claims they are certain, but do you have a thread to verify it?
I know that in Invision Free forums one can create new mod types very easily.
[Moderator Edit - Cogitation] 3 duplicate posts deleted. [/modedit]
Edit: Thanks Cog.
I thought that that migh have happened (well I thought I might have on o two) but the forum went all screwy on me.
Mmmm love that browser refresh.
It's not like creating a new usergroup level or user account.
NS isn't anything like a PHP forum. The forum is attached to the NS code in only one place: usernames/passwords.

Yes I know, but you implied that she had to take several hours to create Forum Mods and Tech Modling.
Thread?

Ok, this is a nice and easy question to answer (at last!)
To create new positions within THE FORUMS, it is quick and easy, assuming that we aren't talking about anything ridiculus. All of the standard stuff within the forums is run through phpBB, and thus easily customizable. All of the work done to give me powers could be measured in minutes because I have now powers outside of the forums.
To create new positions within THE GAME, is extremely difficult and I do not like to imagine the amount of time necessary to code this. It would be that bad.

Tech Modling
The current state of play in the UN isn't as terribly bad as you might otherwise think. I tend to run through the entire list (usually about 10-16 pages) every second day and only find a page and a half worth of proposals to delete - then every so often someone lets me know about one I've missed or (even better) sends a telegram asking me to support something utterly ridiculous. I'm appreciative of people saying "he must have a lot of work to do", but I can generally handle it.

I'm still not quite clear though a to whether it is OK to report proposals in which the descriptor does not remotely resemble theproposal, or whether that can be considered politics as normal.
Drop me a telegram if you come across a proposal where the description and category don't match.

I personally think that Enodia is doing an excellent job! However in the event that he ever feels he needs help.. I would be more then willing to help given my main interest in the game is the UN.. however, as stated, I think Enodia is doing a good job. If he needs help, I'm sure he'll let the proper people know :)

Forum Mod
[violet] is currently coding overtime to allow game mods to add new issues to the game.

Not me. I spend to much time in this game as it is now. Don't you dare naming me for moderating work! Unless I get a nice moderator title next to my nation's name :P

If Enodia is doing it alone, and needs to ask for help, I am sure another Game Mod would be only too happy to oblige. Failing that, a Forum Mod could get promoted should the issue become critical. I doubt there is any need for anything more complicated.

He said that he's fine.
Actually, promoting a forum mod was on thing that I suggested, only limiting the GM powers, but Salusa says that it is too hard.
I just sent him two Orwellian and two just mismatched proposals.
I noticed that one of the really annoying ones is gone already.
I see so many anti- gay proposals decribed as "a resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights" that I'm starting to wonde if they actually believe it.
I always send the authors of those proposals a short tm, to which they never respond.
