The current delegate of The Pacific is well known for kick/banning nations for little to no reason, just to maintain his hold on the region. I suggest that you find a more relaxed region and hang out there for a while to learn the game.

Just look at the thread entitled "The Ruling in the Region of the Pacific".

I don't mean to cast aspersions, but I am highly suspect of this nation. Whether or not he is the innocent new player he seems, it should be mentioned that nations trying to deceive the mods in such a manner could be easily exposed, as a simple IP scan would reveal any other nations that player controls.

It's just curious to me, especially since that guy gives the impression that he was spawned in the Pacific (when he just moved here from the S. Pac.) and immediately starts talking about endorsements. This is just a hunch, but I'm guessing this guy was hoping the supporters of the current administration would reveal themselves so the Pac. Army would know which nations not to send "Unendorse [nation x]!!" telegrams to.

After reviewing the IP scan, I have to somewhat agree with Francos on this one. The puppet asking why he was banned is indeed the not-so-innocent puppet of a not-so-new-to-the-Pacific-issue nation.

To the puppet's master: It is HIGHLY frowned upon to use a puppet in the manner you have here in this thread. Further use of a puppet to do similar will result in the revelation of who your "master" nation is, and the removal of your puppet from the game.

I try to help a n00b out and it turns out he's not a n00b...

Someone should make a puppet rule book...although it would always be changing...

Although Neut confirmed it, it really didn't take a degree in rocket science to figure out that wasn't a n00b. And they wonder why they haven't been able to beat out Francos. How dumb can you get.

True.

If he had been wise, he would not have adde the "mods" onto the end of the thread.

It is an NS slang term that n00bs will not know unless thayhave a friend who plays, in which case thay would have been warned about Francos Spain.

Thank you so much. I have seen so many posts by nations under 10 posts on this issue, that I have a list of nations I suspect not being as new as they profess. Glad to see at least one person was asked to chill out on this. Falsely creating a larger issue then exists is wrong, and glad that you called the nation out on this Neut.

could have been a newbie on NationStates but not to fora.. calling moderators "mods" is common slang - I have yet to come across a forum where moderators ARN'T called "mods"

using un-newbie slang doesn't automatically indicate a puppet nation ;)

Indeed. Evil Sith is one puppet of mine. I detached and re-sent it to the Pacific at the very first sight of the UND's name for reasons I have explained in another thread. Right now I have another puppet there with my UN membership. In any case I haven't intended to mask my puppets as newbies. And I use Evil Sith for posting Pacific-related to avoid confusions. Hence its low post count.

DarkSith isn't involved in the Pacific affair, so I don't use it. This post is an exception, to make a statement.

[Numbers added by myself.]

1) No, it could not. Neut ran an IP scan and determined whose puppet that nation was. Hence, Neut is in a position to declare whether or not the puppet master is new to The Pacific issue.

2) Agreed. There is another webboard site that I frequent and the moderators are called "mods".

3) Agreed.

I was only attempting to point out (3) on a general basis - hence the words "could have been" at the beginning of my post.. I was aware that the 'puppetness' had already been confirmed by other measures that are beyond doubt - in now way was I trying to say "hey, the IP scan is wrong!"

maybe the point I was trying to make will be clearer if I put it like this:

just because in this specific incident the nation in question was a puppet shouldn't lead people into believing that newly registered nations have no idea how to behave on message boards

if that reasoning where taken to an extreme, I guess people could start thinking I'm a puppet - oh wait.. that already happenend.. but that assumption was more of a compliment than anything else  - so.. it was just little me pointing out a statement by a user made in this thread, because in my eyes it's untrue - not a witless attack at the mods - I know that mods generally have wore urgent things to do than deal with (almost) unimportant issues.. 'twas but a thing that was of importance to me - I said what I felt needed to be said and will move on

*decides it might be wise to check if any of her puppets were spawned in the much debated region (and still sitting there) and move them somewhere else as a signal to the mods that she doesn't intend to enter the "fighting"*

Oh, I see. Althhough if a pupet begins using "ic", "ooc", "tm", "godmod", and "irl" then it is pretty obviously a puppet.

I personally see no reason to hide my puppets' existance, until I begin infiltrating other regions.
