Can you tell me what flamming is? I've heard that it's against the board rules and I want to make sure I know what it is!

Thanks!

Threatening, swearing at people (not in a cheeky way if you know what I mean) and basically being nasty to someone. Its's the forum version of name calling and insult slinging matches.

Sirocco is correct.

This is more related to Moderation. Hence, iMove.

Hey Cog, just wondering, is trolling the same as flame-bait or is there a difference I'm not aware of?

I'll have to check. Since both are illegal, I don't bother to make distinctions.

If they're different, then there seems to be a lot of overlap between them.

Flamebaiting is saying something that, while not actual flaming, might cause someone else to react with flames.

Lots of sarcastic comments, for example?
