Moderator Appreciation Day
Too often the hard voluntary work of the mods and admins goes without thanks or acknowledgement.
Therefore, Wolfish declares tomorrow, and each Monday thereafter, to be mod appreciation day.
You keep our boards clear of spam. You boot the idiots. You calm us down when we get to "into" our debates. You delete the worse of the UN resolutions. And yet few ever say thanks.
So:
Admin

Yes, good job, Mods.
I'll celebrate this holiday when a Mod defends me against the Tyranny of the General forum mods with nothing better to do than campaign for my deletion.
I declare this Tuesday, and every Tuesday afterwards, to be "Moderator Depreciation Day."

Maybe as a token of appreciation we can agree not to report anything. Then, come Friday, they can spend the evening with their loved ones. :P ;)
And there are three examples of why the mods deserve our thanks - ungrateful people who can't see past their selfish interests to appreciate the work done by volunteers.

Is wolfish trolling?
I don't think they volunteered for the "glory."
Or, rather, they shouldn't have.
Is wolfish trolling?
No. I'm sick of all the whining from players and the constants abuse the mods get.

This isn't about giving them glory, just a little thanks.
Is wolfish trolling?
No. I'm sick of all the whining from players and the constants abuse the mods get.
And I'm sick of all the constant sucking-up to the mods and them always whining about how much "abuse" they get. Nobody's forcing them to do their job, and it's not like they're getting paid. :P

i think he's trolling - he's using inflammatory language in his posts and says we're whining.

Thank you for your opinion. I'd be grateful if you didn't clutter up my thread any further.

Because my opinion is different, it is "cluttering up" the thread? :o

Wolfish, I appreacite the fact that you appreciate us mods. However, LM is right: calling other players
...ungrateful people who can't see past their selfish interests....
is flaming. Please be more careful in the future.

Raevyn, although you do have the right to state your opinion, this is also flaming.
Another mod has chosen to lock this topic for flaming (and while I was typing, too). I will not overturn that.
