HACKING
my former nation has been hacked into by another player. They have spammed the rejected realms. I have a feeling it is somebody from the Coalition who has done it.
Probally red marauder as he knows my forum password which was the same as the nation password.
Please find who did this act of ignorance.

That's not 'hacking'. Someone else had your password and you didn't change it immediately to something only you know? You are responsible to keep your password a secret. If you don't, they might do something you don't want them to. What they did was morally wrong, but you let them do it.

The stupid thing is when i was logged in as telak the person was in my file at the same time. I kept on going from region to region. I logged out thinking what the hell tryed to get in and my password was changed.
Ok so its not hacking its stealing a nation by .....hold on a minute.
He mustve hacked in the forum to get into my file to actually get my password.....then he got in to my nation after trying password and used it as an offensive weapon in nationstates. The stupid thing was i was still his friend when he did it :'(
That makes more sense too me.
I really hope he gets dealt with :x

Most of what people call hacking turns out to be a lack of password security(people making up crummy passwords,or using all the same one)as seems to be the case here,however,I don't really understand the situation

He was the leader of the coalition army which i was in. We had a forum and he somehow got my password. I tell my password to nobody.
For those of you who are confused
1: Telak was second in command of the coalition
2:red marauder was commander
3:I went to help polska in defnse aginst Italy
4:I got locked out of the coalition
5:Red marauder accused me of defecting
6:He wrote an note on the message board speaking by my real name saying that i had gone.
7: He found my password ( Thats the weird part :? )
8: He accessed my former nation and used it as a tool to spam.
9: He started in my nation when i was logged in as telak. Everytime i clicked on telak to see if i had new telegrams i was in a different region.
10: i logged out of telak
11:tryed to log in password had changed
12: saw the spam he had sent
13:reported the incident
14:recieved a telegram from red marauder saying he had gone into my nation.
15: he mocked me saying that moderators would kill me off nationstates.
16: i contacted the mods and they are dealing with the situation
17: I am hoping action is taken aginst the fiend who did the crime and i want Telak deleted which he is
Understand now guys ?
He did it because he cant controll his emotions.

Well, everyones password to that forum. It's really only a problem when people use the same password for other stuff, like a nation.

So, you used the same password on NationStates and this other forum, and the admin of this other forum used that password to take control of your nation?
In this case, an IP scan should reveal that your nations was suddenly being accessed from a different IP address. The Game Moderators have the power to check this.

Thats Strange most forums wot give the password out to anyone. I use Invision and am a a Boards root admin and it will not allow me to accses other users passwords. Probably for exactly the reasons stated.
