I am highly dissapointed at what is happening on the game. I have three children who play NationStates, and I must say that the presence of such unjustified vulgarism is sad and a bad example for the smaller ones.

I hope you will take affirmative action against the nations that deliberately swear whenever they have the occasion.

if he were actually in Europe, he would know why Myrth said that, but since he is a foreigner, he should probably stay out of our affairs



Myrth was ranked 39th rudest in Europe. So he cursed the UN, if you actually knew anything, you'd know it was meant as a humorous joke. He was saying he wasn't rude, yet he said it in a vulgar manner.

Why do so many pointless low-lifes have to get into other regions affairs...?

If you'll note, it was a joke. Now if you find that offensive, I suggest you burn your modem, gouge out your eyes and fill up your ears with concrete so you never come across such horrible things again! :roll:

Falange is a member of the region of Espana, if he has a problem with it, it's his own fault. He didn't have to come to our region, and view our regional HQ, and take a screenshot of it. Etc. Etc.

Stay out of our affairs. If Myrth actually did something "bad" Schumania would probably ban him for doing so, but he hasn't so la de da.

He also reveres Franco in his motto. He may as well put 'HITLER WAS SO COOL LOL!!!1111' :roll:

defamatory
spam
This applies to your nation's name, motto, and other customizable fields, any messages you write, images you post, or any other content you upload or link to NationStates. If you do, your nation will be deleted. See the site's Terms & Conditions for details.

Also prohibited is the practice of "griefing." Griefing is playing with the primary aim of annoying or upsetting other people. If you do this, the game moderators may take action against you.

Another player posted something offensive!
People get offended at different things, so first make sure it falls into one of the above categories. If it does, please report it to the game moderators using the "Getting Help" page.

Because our moderators are players who have volunteered to help out of the goodness of their hearts, please deal with lesser disputes without involving them. For example, if someone spams your regional message board, your region's Founder or UN Delegate can eject them.

People are gonna swear it is inevidable, people swear on these boards, there region's boards, people are gonna swear. I'am sorry that is just the way it is.

He swore, yes, but at no-one specific. Had he sworn at a specific player or made repeated use of bad language across several posts, that might have been different, warranting a warning from the Moderators perhaps. As things are, this complaint should probably be judged to be groundless.

it can generally be assumed that they are in some way tied to Polska, if not a puppet of free poland himself :wink:

Hate to point this out guys, but using the word f--- IS an obscenity, which is technically obscene and breaking the rules shown in the quote provided by Myrth.

You may not like it, but Falange has a right to complain. It may have been a joke, but the same effect could have been accomplished without using obscenities.

I doubt the mods will take action if this is not something Myrth usually does, but insulting people while objecting to someone's complaint is not usually considered acceptable behaviour. And yes, Nuttlylnd, we know you didn't technically call Falange a name, since you so carefully couched your insult in general terms, but we all know who you meant.

Besides if Falange is who you claim it is, the mods will know.

my big problem with this is simple

1-falange does not reside in Europe, and as such had no reason to be looking at our regional hq to begin with, it was his own problem

2-had he been from europe, he would have known what myrth had said was just a joke meant to portray that his nation was rude

3-ive seen profanity on here all the time, and NO ONE cares, so why is this a big deal now? once again i must stress the coincidental similarities between Falange and nations that framed my own nation, as well as attempted to ban Rantchess

is the same one that was used by 'nutte' (no relation to Nutty) on the Europe forum. If Schumania can recover any of that fool's spam he'll be able to verify.

That could be a coincidence - but my guess is that this complaint is part of a campaign of spamming, griefing and general childish tantrumming against nations in Europe.

My guess is that this complaint about Myrth, the spamming by someone masquerading as NuttyInd, etc etc are all from the same person.

in case people are unaware, most children are familiar with, and using profanity, by the age of 10, at least


somehow i seriously doubt its going to be a shocking thing for anyone other then a confused person who doesn't remember what it was like to be a kid..


and besides that...as a mod already pointed out, he didn't sware at anyone specific, its not like he was bashing someone, he was making a comment meant to be humorous, its not his fault some people can't take a joke

Falange doesn't have a right to complain, IMO, if he only complained because he's been looking for reasons to attack NuttyInd and Myrth. The signs are there that Falange is a puppet nation of the sicko freak who's been obsessively spamming Europe and hassling people.

I should thank those who are opposed to swearing in such discusting way in public. If they want to use the f word, I suggest they use it via telegrams. I remind you that I have children playing this game, and I do not wish to expose them to such primitive behavior.

And I seem not to understand what has Schumania or another forum to do with swearing here. This is unacceptable, and I hope the moderators will show such nations how to behave.

Falange has a good point. Why do you Europe people always change topic, and when you are wrong you want to leave the thread alone? :roll:

Ideally, we would like for there to be no swearing and for everyone to be on their best behavior on this site. However, this is a big site with literally thousands of players. There are more than 70,000 nations (probably controlled by at least 20,000 different real people) in more than 9,000 regions...

...and less than 20 moderators. Additionally, not all of them are Game Moderators. Forum Moderators (like myself) only have power in the forums and no power in the game (such as regional message boards; what you took a screenshot of Falange).

Because this is a busy site, that unfortunately means we have to prioritize which offenses we go after. There are offenses far worse than isolated swearing and those must be addressed first. Also remember that all of the moderators (including myself) do this in our spare time without pay. We can't spend a lot of time, here.

Remember: Game spam (telegrams and regional message boards) should be reported throught the Getting Help page. Forum spam should be reported by posting a new topic about it in "Moderation" or by posting the word "MODALERT" in the offending topic.
