I'd like to congratulate SalusaSecondus with obtaining Forum Mod powers. Is this just for Technical / Moderation, or site-wide?

Just for technical. Not for moderation. And no, it isn't new, just unnanounced. It doesn't change anything except for how quickly things in tech are dealt with as I no longer need to request another to do it.

Well, what can I say? Thanks all. Of course, you all realize that if I had real powers massive amounts of people would already be hating me? If I was a GM there would be a whole group denouncing me? I don't think that I'm better than the mod squad over all, it's just that none of you have witnessed me in any really controversial circumstances.
So I thank you all, and ask you all to remember that the only real difference between me and most of the moderators is that I have had no powers, so please try to show them the same respect as me. It's a really tough, and often thankless job, and I have fought tooth and nail not to have it. They try their best, so please give them the benefit of the doubt.
My position was an experiment when it was created, and I think that all are pleasantly surprised by how it turned out. Personally, I never expected to have this sort of presence in the forums at all.
Once again, thank you for your support.
