Every time I turn around, this game gets to be more and more about what the mods are doing, and how they're doing it. WHO CARES?? The mods have a job to do. Why not let them do it, and concemtrate on playing the game as it was intended.

If you truly want the answer I believe it is this. What is the demographic of this game -- mostly kids with access to computers and lots of time. What do middle class kids do when something goes wrong:
1. Whine and complain to authority figures.
2. Solve the problem themselves.
