No Idea, thered be a hell of a lot of them tho, so why bother, they'd be more likely to use a filter and pick out the suspicious ones, but why bother, it's not like "Assasination of the president" is likely to be any interest to the RL CIA in NS, not with so many NS presidents getting offed all the time.

Game Mods can indeed read the telegrams of players (this isn't hidden information, either). However, it is not the default setting, they have to specifically click the proper icon (or however the Mod Centre interface works). Furthermore, each time this is done (just like each time a Game Mod does anything in the Centre) it is logged, and can be reviewed by the Admins.

Obviously, any Mod performing any such action without good reason would be soundly diciplined.

Hey, this is a public game. You shouldn't be sharing info that you don't want to be made public, anyway.

So basicly it goes: You get a TM from Player X saying Player Y has been hassling them and making nasty sexually explicit comments, please do something and youcan then open the TM in question and see if it's true. and then do something (Ban, Whatever) as appropriate.

But if you just went and opened them because you were bored and wanted something to do you'd be demoted?

Sounds Fair.

Pretty much, yeah. That's why we repeatedly say to NOT delete harrasing telegrams if you receive them, as they are evidence. Incidentally, that's also why really bad posts are left undeleted. That way a Game Mod can look into it.

Of course, the Forum Mods and the Tech Modling cannot read other people's telegrams.

I wish I'd known this when I was Philandrea. A quick look at the filth I was receiving might have changed a few mods minds. Yes, I know, it's in the past.
