I'm not quite sure what exactly to report. He's been acting a little "defesive" about his resolution.

He made a topic for a "crybaby act" (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=69863), which was a proposal to repeal his proposal, an obvious flamebait.

He then wrote this;

As I've already spent weeks defending the merits of this proposal, and hearing nothing but criticism from the same bunch of anti-capitalist/anti-responsibility extremists (and a few who defend their decision on the ever popular "National Sovereignty" excuse), I'm not going to waste time trying to convince those of you who have made up your minds. Though I do have a few things to say.

First of all, Tisonica... SHUT UP! I am sick of seeing you get away with insulting and mocking me, daring to ridicule my intelligence simply because you disagree with me. Though, because you're a good little liberal, I guess the Mods won't touch you!

I might add that I never flamed him, it was actually completely the other way around, and I have many whitnesses to that. Along with him repeatedly calling people commie libs and such he is getting somewhat annoying.

Could a mod please at least just tell him to calm down?

I don't see how it matters but I would prefer they lock the crybaby topic and warn him. And your highly respected leader has been accused of this type of thing before. Have you ever wondered why people call him a "troll"?

Well, there was one where he just said that if I had my way, all of the businesses would be owned by the government. I'm not sure if that counts as name calling or not.

Give it a rest, for God's sake. Have you never been called a name before? If you don't like what he writes, then don't read it. And if he calls you something you're not, don't waste yours and everyone else's time bitching about it! :evil:

I locked the cry baby post. I hope this will cool some folks down a little. It could be seen obviously as flamebait. I don't want to see that so I just locked it. Other then that, I can't see doing to much. People have a right to their opinions even if you don't agree with them. I will keep my eyes open for more posts like this and try to lock them before they become problematic. I agree telling people to shut up is not very nice. However in most of his posts on the thread he was only arguing his point. As others were arguing theirs. I realize in the past day or so he has become a little upset that so many people are raking his resolution over the coals. However, that is part of the process. Any of us who have had resolutions come to vote know that this happens. It happened to me to when my Child Protection Act resolution was at vote. I know this doesn't excuse him for being rude with any one, but I don't believe he has really crossed the line here. The cry baby thread is now locked and hopefully that should end it. Let's hope

Opinions are like excuses, everyone has one and while everyone is entitled to there own opinion it is the job of the mods to make sure that these opinions are expressed in an appropriate and respectful manner.

However I do not see anything wrong with Fantasan's actions, furthermore there are many, many instances in which he has been griefed and called names as well. The fact that he refuses to go complaining to people can in some ways be a testament to his will. He responds in like kind, but that should clearly be expected. In many ways this post can be seen as flamebait in the eyes of certain individuals, and since it is the job of the mods to handle that I must digress.

The only way I see this thread being considered "flamebait" in the slightest is if one believes that anybody who has ever dealt with Fantasan "should know" that Fantasan or supporters of his would flame any thread which mentions him in a less than adulatory light.

Do you then consider that to be the case? I'm curious.

Fantasan can't write senseless blubber that he recycled out of something his deranged liberal hating father said and pass it in the UN simply by putting human rights on it. And worst of all, he didn't even back up his argument, every time you face him with something that proves him wrong he called you a communist and leaves.

This is one of a long line of quotes, where Tisonica simply calls me stupid, an idiot, and refuses to do anything but recycle her own anti-anything-I-say spiel. And I want to make it perfectly clear; I am not bothered by people disagreeing with my resolution. I have a problem with the vast majority who personally insult and attack my intelligence, simply because I've had the nerve to write it. Most of their criticism is not professional, courteous, and reflects badly on their argument.

There has probably been a little bit of name calling on all sides. Perhaps we can take this thread as a step in all agreeing to stop it. I don't think any one has crossed any lines as of yet. I hope that by bringing this problem here and having an open and respectful discussion will remedy it and will help to insure the problem doesn't continue and get worse. I would hope that we are all mature people and can agree to argue our points agree or disagree in a mature fashion. I don't think it's to much to ask.

No matter what you believe or what you think and no matter how strongly, there will always be people whom disagree with you. That is part of life. That in it's self is not a problem but a natural process that happens in a free society where people are given the right to voice their views. Where the true judge of character is found is in the way we deal with these situations.

Agree to disagree, this is my advice to every one involved in this situation.

Do you even think anybody believed that? The entire thread was filled with people telling you to stop flaming, and then giving real arguments against your proposal. Which you almost always countered with calling them a communist or a socialist. So unless this is yet another massive liberal conspiracy it would look as if popular opinion says you did in fact flame, and post flamebait.

How can you say that isnt flamebait? He basically called everyone against his resolution a crybaby. That is at least a flamebait if not a flame itself.

I didn't. I was asking why Agrigento seemed to be calling it flamebait in his roundabout way. You've done nothing wrong in posting this thread up to the attention of the mods.

I don't respect him, I don't know him but if I were to base my respect on what I have seem him say and do then I personally would not respect him.

My opinion about your father has nothing to do with you, If I called Bill o' Riley an idiot it isnt flaming you, and the mods have made it quite clear calling what somebody says stupid is not a flame, if that were so, the mods would have ample reason to delete you, IP ban you, and call your ISP to make sure you never ever ever come back.

And saying somebody is deranged is even less of a flame, because you are saying that you believe what they did or said is insane.

And that really can't help you in trying to become a mod.

I am not supporting Fantasan unilaterally in this case, but you did make fun of his father. Also I don't think that you should involve the mods in a trivial matter of this sort as it takes up their valuable time. Just deal with the fact that the only way to really resolve your problem is if there is an agreement between you and Fantasan, and not with Mod action.

I may point out that Fantasan was the first one to suggest involvement of the mods. So it was only appropriate of me to do the same, although the mods had already been involved from the start (sephistan had already commented on the "agressiveness" of the arguements).

And I don't see how calling his father deranged is making fun of him, it's the equivilent of calling somebody a radical liberal or a reactionary conservative. And this matter is hardly trivial, Fantasan made an obvious flamebait thread. And it had to be reported to the mods, thats what you do for flamebait threads.

First of all, where in there did I make any accusations about Agri? And second, saying that it would not help him in being a mod is not an insult, much less a vicious personal one, so your last paragraph made no sense whatsoever. If you were saying I made a vicious personal insult against Fantasan, I would like you to point it out, because I have not done so, however there is a long list of personal insults Fantasan has said to me, along with many other people. So I would advise you to think about what you are saying before you speak, or post.

Tisonica, there's a quick and easy way to resolve this little squabble right here and now:

1: You never dare to insult my family again.
2: Stop ignoring everyone's explanations when you've asked for them by saying you don't think they're good enough, or just plain ignore them and say nobody explained anything.
3: Expand your vocabulary beyond the word "Stupid."

Mind you, I know you can't do 2 or 3, but you can at the very least have the common decency to not engage in baseless personal attacks, or worse, attacks on someone's family whom you know nothing about.

Ok, I think this thread has went far enough. I can't see any thing positive coming out of this thread at this point. Therefore I'm going to lock it.
