Query About Deleted Nation

10-09-2003, 11:36
Let's see, i'd be Christofi, and I logged on just before bedtime to check replies to my latest bits in the fight against Liberal Fascism, only to be told my nation no longer existed. If this is some technical error, please let me know. If it is not, please let me know as well.

If this was a deletion, it is extremely irritating, in that, I received no message through e-mail notifying my that my nation was to be deleted for (blank). Such a notice would have been appreciated.

Wow, this isn't good. Did you do anything? Did you have UN multis?

Oh wow. Hmm. Perhaps he missed a warning? If he gets a lot of telegrams, it might have fallen from the bottom of the stack, and if the Mods knew they sent him a warning and saw him continue to flame, they might have reasoned that he had wasted his chance. It is possible.

Many nations have been deleted without warning.

I had this happen to my previous main nation, despite directly asking the moderators to do me the courtesy of providing me with a warning if they ever considered that I was breaking the rules, I simply logged in one day to be told that my nation no longer exists. Despite numerous requests I was never provided with a reasonable explanation of why I was deleted. I understand fully how you feel Christofi, and I look forward to hearing the moderators excuses on this occasion!

While I don't know the exact reasons for Christofi's deletion, but I'll go out on a limb and wager the guess of repeated flaming and flame-baiting....

If that is the case, Hack, isn't a warning, or a couple of warnings, customary before deletion takes place? I received none.

I believe Christofi has been warned many times on many different occasions if memory serves me correct, which I believe it does. Just because he may not have received a warning this time, doesn't mean he hasn't been warned. I don't however know why he was DEATed because I wasn't here when it happened. However, I don't think Christofi can claim he's never been warned.

I think Christofi flamed a lot in the General forum...

I would have to agree with that.

I think Christofi received some warnings. Here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1475307#1475307) for example.

I read the very severe warning......a final warning from.....I think Sputnik. Not much later, you let off on another thread. Next thing.........gone......but you were warned. I also didn't see a final warning I was given as....................?

Sorrry, i'm not familiar with any real warning i've received, and, aren't they usually in the form of a telegram?

Not always. Quite often, warnings are posted in the threads at hand, as appears to be the case here.

Don't listen to Sphere and Fun, they're just trying to make sure thier "boycott" really worked.

I honestly do not remember reading anything along the lines of "stop or be deleted."

didnt want to start another thread, so i just thought i would say this here:

thank you for deleting Regicidia or whatever his/her name was. that was the one i was talking about in General, on the Christofi thread. and im glad i was not the only one tired of their constant flaming and hating. thanks again :)

To the other Mods:

I received no warning from Sputnik, save for a single, thread specific, first and minor warning, which carried no threat of deletion or even specific consequences. He is showing bias. I would like to request a review of the situation by other, impartial mods, preferably those who do not frequent the General forum, or even those who hold it in contempt, such as Menelmacar.

I was deleted for being mistakenly identified as a UN multi, I was given no warning. Happily though I was restored.

I repeat, I read the warning. It made it clear it was a final warning and was specific. I also tried to explain above that I have also been deleted and, at the time, felt it was unjustified. Get over it. The warning WAS GIVEN. Stop insulting and get yourself a semblance of a lfe. You've got 13 clans, use it....like me with S.O. And be careful, if a mod starts posting the crude insults you did put up, you'll look even more stupid.

That Sphere is so desperate to see my nation stay deleted is evidence of the bias I face. Has this deletion stopped me from posting? No. It has only served to annoy me, something Sphere and Sputnik both seem to enjoy doing, as they were both involved in the "Freeze-Out" campaign.

Having already stated I would defer judgement to another mod on this case because of my support of the mass-ignore campaign, I am ineligible for reviewing this case.

However, from what I have seen, Christofi received numerous warnings to cool his jets. From my own perusal of the General forum, I have seen abundant flamebaiting, trolling, and crying foul about some perceived conspiracy against him. (Which, if I may add my own personal opinion, is extremely egotistical of him. Why would somebody waste their time with a massive conspiracy against a single player in a free online game?)

The mods are under no obligation to warn someone that their nation is about to be deleted. Generally, we operate on a two-strike rule. Strike one earns a warning and a great big "warned" tag on that player's profile in the mod center. Strike two- you're out.

So as to make sure that the actions taken were not done so out of bias, I asked another Mod that was online to look into Christofi's recent posts, and as they had not changed since his warnings, and the other Mod agreed that he was indeed trolling and griefing, his DEATion was fully justified.
12-09-2003, 00:46
You are just as guilty of griefing as me, if in fact I am at all, evidenced by your involvement in the "Freeze-out" campaign. Everyone from that thread is guilty of flame-baiting, so do show your wonderful un-biased fairness and delete them all. No? Figures. What mod? Stephistan probably, another lovely little promoted Liberal Nazi. As i've said before, this is nothing more than an attempt to annoy me, I hope you are very satisfied with the results.

Contrary to what you seem to think, Stephistan is a forum mod, not a game mod, and therefore incapable of deleting players.

EDIT: And for the record, a player's political/ethnic/religious/etc standing has nothing whatsoever to do with they're becoming a moderator.
