Using the 'getting help' page is for GAME--not forum--help

I've seen an increasing number of appeals on the moderator tasklist directing our attention to various threads that players think are flaming/spam or what-have-you.
Please do not use that particular medium to gripe about the forums. Cleaning up the forums is primarily a Forum Mod issue [obviously], and too many requests to lock flame threads and so forth frequently drowns out the real game problems, which is our top priority. If you have a problem with a thread and no one seems to be doing anything about it, find another way of informing one of the mods, either in another thread or via a Telegram.

When somebody uses the getting help page, will you or another one of the mods send us a telegram saying that you have read the complaint?

Some mods don't mind.
If it's a forum issue (lock, spam, flame, etc.), and the mod is online, some of us are okay with it.
But, it's on a mod by mod basis.
However, posting in this forum often will get a faster responce for such issues.

Even though some mods dont mind, lets just say that it's preferred that you post Forum issues in the forums, and use the getting help page for game issues...only as a last resort should a Mod be TG'd

Could you post the URL and the message (I don't know if there is anything else that Sal needs)?
Also, could a mod please split this off and move it into Tech?

I would like to formally lodge a complaint concerning the Getting Help page and it's efficency. Over the past week, I had posted two requests for moderator intervention when I recieved some hostile messages concerning my recent proposal. I can still see the messages that were lodged on my region's page, and have recieved no response whatsoever about the extremely rude telegram sent to me almost 4 days ago. The Getting Help page says: "You will not recieve a telegram if your request is sent to the wrong topic." That indicates that if a request IS sent to the correct mod, then it will recieve a response, if it does not get any action. I am also HIGHLY annoyed that my requests posted 5 days ago still have no action, when a proposal that I sent in to the UN was deleted within 6 hours of my submitting it, due to the effect it would have on game mechanics. Have you looked at the "past decisions" page on the UN? the only reason we Delegates have a search function on the proposals list is because of such a proposal! Also, the chances of that proposal passing were very slim, and if it made it to quorum, the mods could have acted then instead of wasting their time on something that would have died anyway. I hereby lodge my complaint about the Getting Help page, and do request a response to this, if I still get nothing on the original requests. If the forum screws up (again) then please send me a telegram. For now, however, good day.
The Getting Help page is rather backed up at the moment.
I'm sure that the mods are working through it and the backlog will be cleared soon :)
So if my nation is at war with another country, and they won't post on the war thread, and in response to my telegrams I get ...

Do I do nothing, alert a mod directly, or use the "getting help" form?
Thanks!

Use getting Help page if you want them to be punished, or just block them and ignore it. Up to you really.

Ok, done. Thank you mods for your prompt reply and justice. I have set this up in our message board as a lesson to all: this is a game and do not flame or flame-bait or one will reap the consequences.
