King Yamashita revived his message that Motokata had helped arranged a meeting with Imperial. A nation that kept mostly to it's self but certainly had a rep for sweeping lasses off their feet. Though that information hadn't reached Ang Philippines. He was nervous how would a fairly religious country get along with a militant country. Jozefo had seen war no doubt about that but never shook his own faith. Still the idea of a diplomacy is getting along even though you may be different. AP was friendly warm and hospitable.

And they headed into the mountains along the rocky trails. They were pretty wide with auto's becoming more common. The mountains were pretty safe, but the last place a foreigner wanted to be during a storm. The people who lived there were fishers and farmers for the most part, the deeply impoverished region of the AP big island as many were proud workers to proud to accept charity.

As the hours dissolved the men lost themselves in the lovely surroundings of the tropical jungles. (these mountains are generally coastal they aren't total alpine until you get above a certain height) Soon storm clouds moved over and thunder began rumbling.
