The Khanate may have been not as active as it was, but it was not gone. in fact, it was going to start a new campaign that would show the galaxy the power of The Hyperborians. Soon, no one in the galaxy would dare face the Hyperborians nor threaten them.

"The United Alliance of Planets." Ayame said to her self, "That is all the universe needs, another Democracy." It was well known the Hyperborians were not a democracy. Ayame was looking at the reports of the other star-nations. This United Alliance of Planets seemed like a powerful nation, even through small.

In short, a good target for what Ayame was planning.

For years, the Hyperborians were busy with something known as Project: Night, it was secret for many years.

Now, It was time for night to come, and the UAP would be the first to see it.

Commence Captains Log, USS Sovereign, Captain Simon Leach, Stardate 542234.4
The Sovereign is due to launch from McKinly station in ten minutes, the first of the Sovereign class ships, the Sovereign is the Pinnicle of Starfleets ships. As fitting Sovereigns stature, the ship is crewed by the best and brightest of the Starfleet.

"Captain Simon Leach, you are requested and required to take command of USS Soveraign as of this stardate" Admiral Forrest said to Simon "Computer transfer command codes to Captain Leach"
"Command codes transferred, USS Sovereign now under command of CAptain Leach" The Computer replied.
"I relieve you sir" Simon said proudly.
"I stand relieved" Forrest smiled "She's your bird now, treat her well"
"I will sir, you have my word"

USS Sovereign, Bridge

"Captain on the Bridge!" A Ensign by the Turbolift called, the officers on the bridge all snapped to attention, until Simon waved them down. Walking briskly across the bridge he sat in the command chair. He turned to look at the officer in the XO's chair.
"Commander?" He asked.
"Jessica Sato, sir" The Attractive female officer smiled.
"Well, I hope your a good officer" Simon commented.
"The best" Jessica replied.
"Good" Simon said, turning to the helm officer "Take us out, one quarter impulse"
The Sovereign slowly slipped out from the docking station and headed out past luna before engaging warp engines.

USS Tristar, UAP border

The Miranda class PAtrol ship moved at a average pace along the border. Keeping a careful watch out for any problems on the horizon. Captain Demendaz hadn't initially wanted this assignment, but he'd learnt to like it.

Somewhere in Hyperspace...

on the bridge of a Hyperborian ship, heading for the UAP, The crew were not organics, but Droids. The Hyperborians would use the droid to do theri mission of terror for them.

"we will reach enemy territory soon, commander." one Droid said. The Commander, another droid also, nodded its head.

The Ship was cloaked already, just for hunting it's first target.

IC: The mysterious ship that was cloaked had dropped out of hyperspace. if one was doing a sensor sweap, it entering would be shown as a ultraviolet radiation spike that was higher then normal.

the Navigator Droid detected the alien ship first. "Commander," it said in a monotone voice, "we have detected a ship." "Good," The Commander said, "Prepare to engage." The Commander Droid turn to The Communication's Droid, "Send the live feed back to Altrth." It said.

The cloaked ship was soon nearing the target ship.

The ship was soon heading under the Alliance ship, ready for it's attack on the alien ship. "Prepare to grab the enemy ship." The Commander Droid said.

If the crew of the enemy ship had known something would happen, they would know it buy the tugg they would feel, like that of a tractor beam.

OOC: Clarify-Has the ship been 'tugged'

The Enertial Dampners flucuated slightly, making the entire crew feel at least twice the weight they were.
"Report?" Demandaz demanded.
"Something's effected the enertial dampners" The Operations office reported.
"Cleary!" Demandaz replied "Anything more specific?"
"I don't know, it could just be a spacial anomoly, but nothing showed up on sensors" The officer said.
"Other causes?"
"Tractor beam, Grapple hooks?" The Officer suggested.
"There's no ships in the area" Demandaz "None that we can see, tactical reverse the polarity of the ships structual intergrity field, lets see if we can shake off whatever hit us, at the very least it should let us know something is there, stand-by full impulse"
With a series of commands from teh Tactical officers console, the Ships Structual field changed polarity and sent a EM wave across the ships hull surface.

The Ship, known as Night Kraken was EMP shielded, but the wave did show something metalic near the hall of the enemy ship. "De-cloak the ship." the Commander said.

Soon, the alien crew would see what was holding them........tantacles.....Large metalic tentacles that were going around the ship, the tentacles were part of the Night Kraken the body of it looked like a 1400 metter Nautilus. in the middle of the mass of tentacles (50 Tentacles in all) was a large Maw, that lead strait to a molecular furnace.

soon, the ship sent a pre-recorded message which said

"RED ALERT!" Demandaz exclaimed as the ship decloaked
"We've translated their transmission!" Comms reported

"Send a message to Starfleet Command RIGHT NOW!" Demandez ordered "Fire a full Phaser spread at that ship, stand-by Photon Torpedo's!"
A Spread of Phaser beams from the Tristar fired as the enemy ship.

Starfleet Command

"Sir, we've received a distress call from USS Tristar" A Command reported to the Admiral.
"What are they saying?" The Admiral asked.
"They're under attack by some sort of...Kraken...The hell?"
"What ever it is we need to help them, the Sovereigns heading towards that sector, redirect them" The Admiral ordered "And get some other ships to support"

The Night Kraken shield were till holding, even though it shook with the attack from the alien ship. "fire all Ion Beam Cannons." The Droid Commander said.

From around the maw of the killer ship, over 30 Ion Beam Cannon turents popped out of haches, and they were not the only weapons, as Moving Haches soon revealed other weapons, from Missile/Torpedo Launchers to Turbolasers.

The Ion Beams were fired agianst the enemy ship

The ship was rocked significantly by the ion beam cannons. One of the beams struck the ships port naccelle ripping the naccelle in two and the ship began to vent warp plasma.
"Sheild status?" Damandez requested.
"23% strength, we're a older ships, we just can't standup to that kind of punishment" Tactical replied "Fire the photons, helm can we go to warp?"
"With half a naccelle missing we can go to warp 1.5, that depends if that things still got us" Helm replied.
"Do it!"
The Tristars warp engines surged, the crew waited to see if the ship would jump to warp.

The Night Kraken was not one to let it's target go easy. One of the Tentacles soon started wapping around the Starboard naccelle and then started pulling on it hard. the photon torpedoes did some damage to the ship, but it would not let go.

"Smash the ship." the Commander said.

Soon, one of the tentacles soon let go, riseing above the Alliance ship, then came down, hard.

The Krakens tenticle ripped a massive hole in the Tristars hull plating. Knowing his ship was doomed Damandaz grimly siad.
"Comptuer, activate self destruct system, authorisation code Damendex00446Alpha, Ten seconds delay"

Ten Seconds later the Tristar was ripped apart by the Artificial Warp core breach. The Matter-Anti-matter explosion lit space up with it's light.

The Ship shook and was hidden in the blast, then once the explosion ended, a few tentacles, damaged, appeared, then one it cleared............The Night Kraken, with some Damage, was still there.

"Anti-matter shielding has worked." the Damage Report Droid said, "He have a few hull breachs, but we have survived it."

"Head back to The Khanate for repairs." the Commander Droid said as the ship soon started leaving for Hyperspace to head back for repairs. as one part of teh Tentacles, Burned by the Matter-Anti-Matter blast floated in space.

Liturarly seconds later the USS Sovereign dropped out of Warp, nothing could be seen except for a rapidly expanding sphere of dust that used to be the Tristar.
"Send a report back to Command" Simon ordered "Tell them to keep those ships en-route, we don't know what happened here.
The Sovereign slowly approached the dust cloud.

Near the dust cloud was the piece of tentacle, floating in the void of space. what no one could see was the small Camera on it, showing Ayame and her Generals the battle field.

"It seems the Night Kraken Prototype has worked." Admiral Fang'gal-la, who was Hyperborian said. Beside her, Sakura, Shigigami, the head of Astral-Tech, smiled. "But yet it did get damaged." General Ka-Ran-Pal-pu, a Sensgai, said. "Once it is repaired, send it out to destroy any Communication Stations and Space Outposts in enemy territory." Ayame said, "While we prepare the force."

the force she ment was the Invasion Force she was building up.

As the Sovereign approached she detected the Tenticle. Not wanting anything left of whatever had destroyed the Tristar the Sovereign locked her weapons on the tenticle and fired, the ships weapons modulation was changed to see the different effect in an attempt to find the best firing pattern.

since it was just a piece, it was not protected buy the powerful shields so it was nothing but dust, which if showed on sensors, would show the metal was a Diamond-Titanium Alloy that was very hard.

The Sovereign having scanned and Destroyed the tenticle, remained in the system until more starfleet ships arrived, she then began to make her way to the nearest Starbase.

The Dan'ikari System, somewhere in the Gamma Qaudrant

It was odd that night for the watchman as the private shuddle of Astral-Tech Marquis Sakura Shigigami landed. Ship did land here on this planet, but it was mostly when they were captured or were owned by The Pirates who ruled this planet.

This, and 590 other systems were ruled by The Ranshisyu Warrior Pirate Clan. these pirates attacked any ship, mainly warship and cargo ships. Their fleet was large and more deadly as it grew.

Under the rule of Admiral Nadia, The 'Queen of The Pirates', The Ranshisyu was a force to be wecken with.

and it was secrety allied to Astral-Tech.

Sakura was going for a vist.

High Level Starfleet Conference
Deep Space Nine

"I refuse to beleive that someone would come just to destroy one starship" Admiral Yamato commented as he looked at the other officers around the table in the ward room
"You do have a point Admiral Yamato" Admiral Green nodded "The Sovereign's senors were able tos can the fragment they found, the sensor read-outs are in the folder"
"How many ships can we have back here?" Yamato asked.
"That's the problem" Green sighed "Starfleet is big, we've got tens of thousands of ships, but as the Alliance is 8,000 lightyears across and at least 3,000 lightyears deep, it'd take Several years to get the entire fleet in one place, and that's another problem, we don't know where the enemy will strike from"
"Our best bet would be to gather our ships into taskgroups of maybe thirty, complementary ship classes and have them on the frontier, we'll keep them like that until the enemy attacks again" Admiral Thompson of Starfleet Tactical said "In the mean time, we need the Subwave project to come up with something"
"Sorry for asking" Simon said "But what's the Subwave Project?"
"Starfleet Sciecne reckons that they can create a system of stable wormholes across Alliance space, these wormholes would have 'gates' at hubs across the Alliance, thus allowing ships to be marshled in any one plase" Green replied "As with anything it has it's flaws, the power needed is Astronomical, so we can only use them during emergencies, thus most normal Starship duties will be at Warp speeds, also outside of Alliance space they'll not operatate until we can set up a receiver gate"
"How long till they reckon it'll be operational" Simon asked.
"They had estimated a year to three, but if we give more resources, and they cut their safety checks, we can probably get it finished much sooner" Green replied.

Altrth, Hyperborian Khanate

Ayame Khan soon sent word to all the warrior clans in the Khanate to send ship and warriors to help in the coming Invasion of The United Alliance of Planets. Ayame was getting ready for the campaign. Many saw this as a plan to stop the decacy of The Khanate by going to war against a common Foe. Ayame was trying to keep her rule from falling apart.

Now with War, Ayame was free to make sure that The Khanate would not fall.

But yet, there were a few that thought it was a bad idea. The Cimmarian Samurais declared themselves Neutral in the coming Invasion, fearing that it would lead to a bloodbath.

But there was no stopping Ayame.

Deep Space Nine

"Bottom Line, how soon can we have the Subwave network operational?" Yamato asked.
"If we put Starfleets best people on this one project, three months, maybe four" Green replied.
"We don't have any choice, that's waht we should do" Yamato stated and the rest of the Admirals agreed, Subwave project was to be given the mest scientific minds in Starfleet.

Daokamiyo Shipyards, The Saipan System, Delta Qaudrant

the Giant shipyards were like a Giant Ring around the Neptune Sized Gas Giant of Saipan IV. here, The Prototype was being repaired for it's next mission into the Alpha Qaudrant. Ayame was here to see the work on The Night Kraken Prototype.

"See to it that it is ready for it's next attack." She said. Already, she had ordered scouts into Alliance territory, cloaked, to find targets for the invasion. The scouts were deadly Shu'Uasi Class Marauder Ships (http://files.fringespace.org/jgz/SiteNews/arct1lf9.jpg), armed with four Phased polaron beam Cannons, chroniton and transphasic torpedo launchers and two Ion Cannons. they were faster then most of the Hyperborian ships in the Khanate Fleet.

Ayame would soon have her foot in the Alpha Qaudrant once again.

The Red Rosey Girl Inn and Bar, The Dan'ikari System

The inn was larger then any inn known, more like a Palace. Inside, things looked like it was out of the 1600's/1700's Earth. Many of the patrons in the inn wore 18th Century style clothes.

many were civilians who were enjoying a good drink and some food, others were gambleing their money away

Most were Pirates.

This world was the Capital of The Ranshisyu Warrior Pirate Clan's Empire in the Gamma Qaudrant and here, Admiral Nadia watched as Three vistiors came in.

Two were Droids, MagmaGuards, deadly droids that could kill anything. It was not uncommon for Droids to come into the Inn, they were allowed, but when MagmaGuards were in, that ment that someone Importent was here. the cloaked humanoid was between the two droids, looking at the patrons.

Many were members of Races from This Galaxy and outside it. Tofs, Cardassians. Ferengi, Duros, Romulans, Hutts, Ra-Als and others. some races from The Near by Dominion were also there. But the Main races were Hyperborian, Human, Klingon, Yuuzhan Yong and Wookiee.

Two Jem'Hadar guards flanked the Door to Nadia's office as they let the vistiors in.

"So," Nadia said, looking at those who came, "What brings you do the Far Territories Beyond your office?" Nadia was a human with a deep tan. She was young, 21 years old and already a Pirate Admiral and Queen. Ruler of a Empire.

"You may know." the cloaked one said as she lifted her hood to show who she was: Sakura Shigigami her self. "I guess you heard about Ayame Khan's new plans." The Head of Astral-Tech stated. "Yeah," Nadia said. "I Think she is doing this to try and save her reign in the Khanate." Sakura nodded Beside Nadia was a Big Klingon Warrior, one of Nadia's Generals who was known as Kragis. "Ayame is a old hag who knows no honor" The Klingon said. "I can Agree on that." Sakura said.

"and what does our......'ally' say about this" Nadia said. She was one of the few who knew that Sakura was a Force-user; a Dark Jedi who worked for Two Sith Lords. "Ecliptica has said nothing." Sakura stated

"Our Ships will be ready soon." Nadia said.

Dark Days were coming.

Captains Personnal Log, USS Sovereign,
The Sovereign has been ordered to move to Starbase 375, the Subwave project has requested a starship for initial testing and as the most advanced the Sovereign has been chosen.

USS Sovereign

"Ok captain, take your ship into the Wormhole, we're activating it now" The Lead Scientist said.
Simon nodded "Helm ahead one third, heading 44567by36889" He ordered and the Sovereign moved forward. Heading for the wormhole entrarance the ship was rocked slightly by spacial turbulance. Crossing the event horizon the viewscreen flickered and deactivated.

Simon opened his eyes. The Viewscreen was back-online and he could see a Star ahead.
"I dentifiy" He requested.
"It's H16, almost a thousand Light years from where we strated, the Subwave it worked" THe Science officer smiled.
"Don't be so happy, it still needs refining, send the success message back to starbase" Simon ordered

In Hyperborian Territory, on The Planet Torkani, It was a stageing ground for Troops.

Here, a Large Army was being massed for the coming invasion of Alliance Space. Already, Ayame's own Khanate Army had sent 230,000 Warriors to this world. as more warriors from The Warrior Clans came. The Jin-Jin Clan sent over 120,000 Warriors, The Ganbalyu Clan had sent 20,000 Warriors and 300 Warrior Monks from The Temple of Hatar. The Biggest one was fron The Keniji Clan, Over 800,000 Warriors.

Not only did the warrior clans sent troops, but even The Corparations did also. Astral-Tech, Dankui Trade Guilds, Tangi Shipping, Nova Hyperboria Banking Confederacy and Industrial Union sent their own armies to join in the invasion, Astral-Tech had 890,000 Droids ready for the coming attack. the others had each sent over 150,000 Troops or more, some droids, most organic.

The Invasion was massing

The Number of Starships in the Core sectors increased each day as more of the nearer ships were called back, work continued on the Subwave project and across the alliance starbase's and installations were given upgrades to their weapons systems.

Scouts were soon sending info to The Hyperborian High Command. It seemed that the enemy was prepareing for the coming invasion. even through they did not know of the Hyperborians prepareing to invade.

But the Hyperborians had one thing: The Night Kraken was almost repaired and ready for it's next mission: takeing out all Communication relays near The Boarder, making ready for the Invasion Force.

Soon, The Hyperborians would take them buy the set of their Pants.

"Subwave Test 256" Simon said in a bored tone of voice "Helm set a course, directly head, one third impulse powoer"
The Sovereign moved forward once more and was soon passing into the Wormhole. The rumbleing had been removed from the first test. Twenty seconds later the Sovereign emergered from the Wormhole.
"Report" Simon requested.
"Safe transport, stars corrolating, we're at the target destination" The Science officer smiled "We've crossed the entire Alliance"
"Bring us about, take us back through the return gate" Simon ordered cracking a smile. A minute later the Sovereign was gliding towards the Starbase.
"Mission complete Admiral, Subwave stable" Simon said.
"Good" Yamato replied "Now all we need to do is set up the system"

Back on Torkani, a Fleet was massing above it, a large fleet that would be the most dreaded force in The galaxy. The Hyperborian First fleet made up part of The Armada. Other ships from The Warrior Clans and Corparations were also part of this growing fleet.

"Ok, we've got to start grouping our ships into combat groups" Admiral Thompson said "Each based around a pair of Nimitz Class"
"How many ships in each?" A Rear Admiral asked.
"A hundred" Thompson replied "Plus the Nimitz's fighters"
The Rear admiral nodded and he and his team got about setting up combat groups.

Ayame was also planning her own tactics for the invasion. She had planned out a operation to win the war.

Her First Targets would be the outer worlds of the Alliance. full scale attacks that would pound at the Alliance it self. But she would not attack Importat targets, those that were well protected. She would target Farming Worlds, Mineing Worlds, lesser Starbases and minor colonies, all the 'Key" Targets would soon be surrounded but Hyperborian Territory, cutting them off.

Ayame had one Key target in mind: her Scouts had found it. It seemed to be a Major Station, and a tactical one at that. Listening in to enemy Communications, the scout ship found it's Name: Deep Space Nine.

Ayame wanted that Station under her control.

All the while, she ha the report, The Kraken was ready and she gave the order.

"Sent it out and begin Phase II"

The Invasion would start.

Deep Space Nine

Much of the Crew of DS9 watched from the promenade as a small fleet of Starfleet ships towed something into the system. The light of many tractor beams was almost too much to look at. The something they we're tugging was massive and looked like a gate, it was big enough for even the biggest Starfleet ships to pass through. DS9, being the Alliance's furtherst out Starbase the station was a perfect place to set up a Subwave gate. As they watched they were given a briefing on the gate. The Genuis of the Gate, they were told, was that any starship passing through the gate had to set their Shields to a certain frequency, have their Engines on a certain setting and transmit secure Starfleet link-up messages for the entire distance or the wormhold would be closed and the ship destroyed, the hope being that the enemy would be unable to use the subwave against them.

Captain Ezri Dax watched from the Operations centre as this happened, the tugs deconnected and the Subwave gate was activated, a short wait of three minutes later the Wormhold burst into light as a Starship came through, the USS Sovereign exited the wormhole and approached the station, requesting permission to dock.

The Night Kraken had left the shipyard fix and was now heading back to start the second phase: Knock Out.

It would be sent to target enemy Communication and Sensor Relays near the borader to make sure no one knew what hit them till it was too late. Added to it was the most powerful piece of technology The Hyperborians had: a Slipsteam Drive. Slipsteam was faster then Warp and Hyperdrive and was what helped the Hyperborians explore Extra-galactic Space and start Small Colonies in some of The near by Dwarf Galaxies.

Also added as a new beam weapon. The Negatron Beam Cannon. It could blast a beem of Negative energy at a target to knock out its shields or weapons of even life surport, like a Ion Cannon or a EMP Bomb could do. At high power, it could take down a Planetary Shield.

and It was heading for the Alliance, clocked.

Somewhere on New Earth

A Tall man, dressed un a sweeping brown cloak walked through the under city of New York City. His Cloak was swept up by a breath of wind from above. Ahead he could see an Alcove, stepping inside he found himself in a room with many other men and women in the same attire.

on board the Hyperboria, Khanate Flagship, commander: Yamaguai Shibatsyu

Admiral Shibatsyu was awaiting the orders to launch the Invasion Armada and make sure the humans would feel the might of the most powerful empire in the Galaxy. As his title, Yamaguai ment, it was the title for a Armada Commander, akin to Grand Admiral. Shibatsyu was a Minotaur, and a well known commander in the Khanate. He had only one horn, as the other one was cut off in a battle with pirates some years back.

Now he looked apond the fleet that he would lead into battle............along with his ruler, Ayame Khan.

Soon, All would bow before The Hyperborians and their subject races; The True Rulers of The Galaxy.

Aboard Starships across the Alliance, one of these men or women were being assigned to The Ships. These Men and Women, were Jedi, Knights of the Alliance. A Formally secrative order that had recently come into the public eye. Now a Jedi would serve aboard every Starfleet ship and installation.

The Hyperborian spynet had not cought on to any Jedis in the UAP. But that did not meen someone else did.

Astral-Tech had a large network of Spies and Assassians that were among the best in the Galaxy. Sakura had sent spies (Humans) into Alliance Space. She had heard of the Jedi.

And that did not make her happy.

"What the hell are the Jedi doing here?" Nadia said. Her and Sakura were on the bridge of Nadia's Flagship Knight's Blood, a Modified Ambassador Class Cruiser that had 10 Turbolaser batteries and 10 Ion Cannons. Nadia also Removed the Warp Core for a Hyperdrive Generator.

Along with the Knight's Blood were two Klingon Birds of Prey, ten Victory Class Star Destroyers and one Modified Colonial Battlestar Renamed The Cutlass

3 other ships were there also, known as The "Nadia Special" It was a Monster, a Mix of a Romulan Warbird's Hull, The Sacuer of a Galaxy Class Starship with Two wings of a Klingon Bird of Prey on both sides of the Sacuer and the Tower of a Imperial Class Star Destroyer on the top of the Sacuer.

"If The Jedi are with the Alliance," Sakura said, "that meens they will try to force the Hyperborians back." That was bad news for Sakura.

and if Ecliptica found out.........

"Madame Sakura." a Protocall Droid came up to the head of Astral-Tech, "We have a message from Coati." Sakura soon turned white as Nadia looked like she was going pale.

They knew who was calling.

The two walked to a Room on the ship, one that was all dark, save for a light in one area, dead center of the room. a Holoprojector was in the room also as the image appeared of a cloaked person, female, her hood covering her eyes.

This was Darth Ecliptica.

"So, The Jedi have appeared" The Sith Lady said. "Why have you not found this out before hand, Sakura." The Dark Jedi and Marquis of Astral-Tech looked up at her mistress. "We had no warning till now that The Alliance had Jedi among them." She said. Nadia nodded "Even My Spies had not found this out till then." The Pirate Queen said.

"This Turn of events is is a problem," Ecliptica said, "We must start our plans." the Sith lady turned to Nadia "Send you Birds of Prey into Alliance Territory, attack all Cargoships they come across, and all Warships."

Nadia nodded to Ecliptica "at Once."

Cargo Ship Hopeful Investment

The Cargo ship of the Alliance Trade Corps glided through the Omarian system, on a routine cargo run to Korsarva 4. Captain Mott was a Trade Corps Veteren and was getting close to retirement, this would be his last long range haul.

Nadia was already ordering her own ships to head for enemy territory, to begin hunting for cargoships. But another predator was on the hunt.

The Night Kraken had spotted a Aged Cargoship in The Omarian system, but is was not after it. It was hunting for any Communication Relays for the coming Invasion.

Soon, things would be a blood bath.

The Belleraphon is visiting Comm relay 37687876777, as part of our border wide patrol plan. The Ship is on the look out for any enemy ships in the area.

The Night Kraken came out of Hyperspace, still cloaked as it sighted the enemy starship. "Prepare to disable the enemy starship" the Droid Commander ordered.

The Kraken soon headed for the enemy ship to ambush it.

"Something on the border Tachyon grid sir" The Bellerapons Tactical officer reported as a buzzer went off on his console.
"Yellow alert, reinteinsify the sensors sweeps, and alert Starfleet command we've got a Level 2 alert in our sector" The Captain ordered as the ship came about to face the correct way.

The Droid Commander soon decided to give the order "Fire The Negatron Beams" He ordered. "Rogger, Rogger." the Gunner said.

One could have seen The outline of the Ship as it fired while cloaked, the dark blue beams fireing looked like that lightning surrounded them as they headed for their target: The enemy Ship.

"Enemy ship detected!" Tactical called out
"Red Alert, all hands to stations" The Captain called.
"Their firing some sort of beam weapon, it's tearing through our shields!" Tactical reported.

The Negatron Beams were fired again, along with Ion Cannon fire to try and disable the enemy ship. This time, The Kraken De-cloaked, ready to show the enemy the terror it faced.

"Helm officer, get us the hell out of here!" The captain yelled, the Bellerapon was able to come about and elongated into Warp, just ahead of the enemy fire. Heavily damaged as she was the Bellerapon headed to the nearest starbase.

The Kraken soon headed for the relay, ignoreing the escaping ship as it soon started wraping it's tentacles around the ComRelay. and started 'eating' it

Once it was finish, it would move to the next target.

"Another good test, My Lady" One of Ayame's Advisers said. The Grand Khan of The Hyperborians looked at the screan. "Good............Prepare the Fleet" She said. Her Advisers looked at her "Now?" they all said. Ayame Growled at them and they soon shut up.

The Invasion was about to start

The sensor readouts were transmitted to the brightest minds across the Alliance who began to analyse the techonolgy.

The Invasion Armada was ready, as the Army was boarding the Transports, thousands apoun thousands of Warriors, Battle Droids and Vehicles were entering the Transport Ships, armed to the teeth. Many of the Warriors were of many Races, many of those under The Rule of The Hyperborians, some conquered, others willingy.

The Hyperborian Grand Army

The Droid Armies of The Corparations was large also, Astral-Tech having the largest army. Soon, they were on The Transports. The Transports were large Menkia-syu Class Tiantic Transports, 1200 Metters long and full of Troops and Landing Craft. They were escourted by over 50 small Capital Ships, Yan-Yum-Khan Class Gunships.

The Armada was amassed and ready. Ayame's own ship, a small shuttle, had docked with The Super Star Destroyer Hyperboria and soon, the order was given and The Armada soon went into slipstream, a Faster FTL Drive then Hyperdrive and Warp, and a LOT safer then Warp.

The War was coming.

USS Sovereign

"Do you think we can win?" Captain Lisa Shelby, of the Excelsior asked Simon as they drank tea in Simons Quarters aboard the Sovereign.
"We stand a better chance now, with the Subwave and the gathering of ships" Simon replied "It may amount to nothing of course, but I think thats rather doubtful"
Lisa nodded sadly "They wouldn't send one ship, destroy a patrol ship and then not invade" Lisa commented "It's a waste of time otherwise"
"Either way, It'll be heavy casualaties" Simon said as he finished his tea.
Lisa nodded "We'll just have to try and limit them where we can" She replied sadly.
"Just promise me you'll keep Yourself safe" Simon pleaded reaching out to take her hand.
Lisa smiled softly "Of course, the same for you" She added.
"Always" Simon said pulling her close to kiss.

Somewhere In Alliance Space.

The Bridge of Starship, this Starship however looked different. It appeared more combative and utilitarain. The Bridge was part of a Ship that screamed warship. She was small, fast and highly manovourable, but held a devastateing arsenal: Several Type-X phaser arrays, Pulsed Phaser Cannons, Photon and Quantum torpedo as well as Ablative armour. True to their nature, Starfleet refused to call her a warship, instead classifying her as an 'Escort'. The Ships name? USS Defiant.

"Stand-by warp engines" Captain Joseph Dale ordered.
"Warp Engines standing by" The Helm officer reported.
"Ahead, Warp 5"
"Engageing sir"
THe Defiant jumped to warp, passing through the warp barriers with ease. As she reached warp 4.5 however the began to rumble and systems fluctuated.
"She'll tear herself apart!" The Engineer reported.
"Damn, drop us out of warp for now" Joseph ordered "I want the problem fixed"

Heading for Alliance Space was The Armada, going in Slipstream and heading for enemy territory. Ayame smiled to her self, her fleet would be larger then any The enemy would try to send against her. Once the Fleet come, the enemy would be crushed and The Hyperborians would soon show the Galaxy who was now The Major power inb The Alpha now.

She also thought about when Sakura and Nadia would come.

Starbase One

"Anything futher from the border posts?" Admiral Yamato asked.
"Nothing concrete yet" A officer replied "Subwave network is standing by"

The fleet was nearing the boarder as The Killer Ship, Night Kraken, was now destroying any Relay that it found in the outer territories of The Alliance. They were to attack Outposts also, makeing sure that once the invasion was found, the Hyperborians would have had a Beach head for more forces.

Sakura's spies had also reported that The Alliance was testing something, a type of FTL that would be a problem. Ayame wanted it to be disabled once they invaded the first world they had targetded.

All the loss of the Relay stations had done was alert Starfleet that an attack was coming. When each stopped relying it's data back to Starfleet Logistics, it had become clear what was happening. Across Alliance space, Starships were gathering in ever growing groups, mostly around the Heavily armed space stations that would be the centre of Starfleet Resistance in each Sector.
In each System the Starfleet Corps Of engineers had been both deploying cloaked Self-replicating minefields, on the edge of the system where ships would drop out of FTL. Each mine was cloaked and extremely small, no more than a meter across, which prevented any sensors from detecting them. More importantly, the mines were equipped with a replicator unit, such as that every mine that was detonated or deactivated would be immediately replaced by its neighbor. The mines were programmed to swarm-detonate, to compensate for their small size
and in Orbit of the inhabited planets, had set up unmanned Weapons platforms.

Unknown to the enemy, the Armada was not the only threat. Nadia's ships had been entering Alliance Space for sometime and now were cloaked and hideing Inside enemy territory.

Birds of Prey, Warbirds, Victory Class Star Destroyers and other small Capital Ships were waiting for enemy cargo ships and warships, ready to attack at once.


Also, Starbases were to be blasted to ruin.

One Bird-of-Prey and two Victory Class Star Destroyers had found a target, a odd type of ship (Which unknown to them was The USS Defiant.) It seemed the enemy ship would make a fine prize for the Pirates.

The Bird of Prey's Commander, a Hutt smiled as he saw him self bringing a new ship to The All Powerful Queen of The Ranshisyu Pirates. He ordered the ships to prepare to attack.

Unfortunatly for the enemy raiders they would find it difficult to attack individual ships. Few ships travled alone, and no civvilian vessels at all travled. The only cargo ships were part of heavily guarded convoys, and the Virture of both Replicator techonolgy and the New subwave negated the General need for cargo runs.

USS Defiant

"Go ahead" Joseph said looking at the viewscreen.
I think we;ve finished the problem
"Good, helm officer, take us to Warp, lets see if we can get to warp nine" Joseph ordered.
The Helm officer nodded and entered commands and the Defiant jumped to warp and continued to accelerqate until it had succesfully reached Warp 9.5. A cheer went up from the ships small crew.
"Good work COmmander, Comms send a message to Starfleet Command, tell them the Defiant is now battle ready and that Starfleet can commence construction once we've sent them our specs" Joseph ordered sitting back in his chair.

The spy Networks of Sakura's had soon found out about the mines. This would soon NOT be a problem.

Self-replicating minefields were not at all a problem as The Hyperborians had their own version of them and had ways to handle them. Ayame thought that the Alliance was showing it's true Colors: a Nothing but a Dishonorble Race of (Dare she say it) Ingrates who would NOT fight fair.

All Well, The Hyperborians would make sure their race would soon be nothing but a bad idea in evolution.

OOC: You should note that there is only one way to shut down these mines, if you do not do it, I will not deactivate them. And How can she talk? She's skulking around my space cloaked?

The Alliance Starfleet waited for the Enemy to launch their first attack. They had done what they could to protect alliance planets.

on her ship, Nadia smiled as she looked at the reports from her own ships. The Alliance was useing Convoys. These were good against one attacker, but yet, The Ranshisyu did know a tactic that would be deadly.

It was a well known fact among The Ranshisyu and The Hyperborians them selves that The Hyperborian Homeworld of Origin was in fact Earth. They Evolved from Wolves on Earth and once had a powerful nation there.

Till Humans drove them off Earth.

Forced as Celestral Nomads, they raided worlds and become the terror of The Galaxy. The Minotaurs were the first to join them, becoming part of The Hyperborian race and helping in building a Empire: The Hyperborian Khanate.

So it was not surpriseing that nadia was planning on useing a tactic known as The "Wolf Pack" to attack enemy convoys.

It was time for old tactics to fight against new enemies.

Starfleet Command

"Space's so big, full of endless wonders" A Admiral mused "You'd have thought there'd be enough space for everyone to get along"
"It's not like that" Another replied "We get these Bastards who are willing to attack another race...for what...resources, planets, or just some fucked up mind-set"
The first laughed "Well they'll be in for a surprise when they get here" He commented "Their spys will have given them the wrong battle plans"
The Admirals all nodded with smiles.

Already, The Alliance had little to know about the tactics of The Hyperborians. They should have had their own spies to know what Hyperborian would do.

In Alliance Territory, The first sign of The Invasion had come out of Hyperspace: One Colonial Battlestar, escorted by 12 Birds of Prey and 50 Miid Ro'ik (Yuuzhan Vong Warships) with Coralskippers and TIE Interceptors.

It was odd that a Colonial Battlestar would have the marking of The Ranshisyu Pirate Clan, but it was odd that it was crewed by the enemies of The 12 Colonies.....

Cylons

"Head for the nearest Uninhabited World, as Nadia has ordered" The Commander, a Cylon Centurion, ordered. "By your Command." one of the Cylons said.

Soon, Ayame would enter with the Armada.

Small Unmannded Sensor drones had been left in every system in the Alliance. As soon as a ship entered a system it would be detected and sent back to Command.

The enemy had little knowing of How BIG the Hyperborians were or their Tactics. this was the advanage against the Alliance. Another Advanage was having Agents in their ranks. The Alliance should have started trying to find out who were the spies among them before they tried anything.

and not all those spies were human.

Starfleet Command

while The Admirals were talking, one person, a Ensign Ascunde Adversar walked by. She Ignored their talk as she knew better to listen to the talk of admirals..........

who did not know better.

Ensign Adversar smiled at the fact the the admirals were trying to hide their fear of what was coming. Soon, it would dawn apon them that they would be in trouble.

She left for her quarders and sat on a chair. She was waiting for the start of the Invasion.

For she was not Human.

The Ba'shan were good with BioTechnology as she was in a living suit, it was good as she may look like a human, but she was in fact, a Hyperborian, one of a few spies among The Alliance.

The Hyperborians were already there.

Admiral Bauer shook his head, it was a common held beleif among command that enemy spies would have infiltrated them. But they did not seem to understand. The Alliances defense did not rest on those in Starfleet Command, or even the Alliance Council. the main asset of Starfleet was it's flexibility.

It would be too late.

Soon, out of the blue (so to say) The Armada came. Coming out of slipstream, ready for all out attack against the enemy.

Starfleet would soon see what the Hyperborians could do. Unlike their Foe, The Hyperborians were not as flexable.....but they were not week as the fools would like to think. The Hyperborians had learnt more then starfleet and had fought foes that were more powerful the the Alliance.

and The Hyperborians had more manpower then their Alliance enemy. So The Hyperborians could keep coming, sending in more forces.

For even Flexable thing can snap.

Officers of Starfleet, our situation is grim, we have no idea on the size of our enemy, their tactics or when their attack will come. But beleive me when I say this, they have underestimated us, they will probably expect to be able to sweep through our space, destroying our ships and installations with ease, but we will not give them that satisfaction. As we speak, The President of the Alliance has sent messages out to neighbouring space faring civilizations, hopefully we will not stand alone. So Men and Women of Starfleet, I say this to you, Hold Firm and give 'Em hell.

7 Birds-of-Prey one Romulan Warbird were cloaked as they headed for a target, this was one of Nadia's ideas, to in fact scare the enemy and demoralize them with one thing. a Attack on one fo their own Starbases.

Sakura's Spies were sending info about the enemy bases, making sure that The Hyperborians and the Ranshisyu would target them. a Surprise attack on one of them would cause panic.

Sakura had given Nadia a new weapon to use: chroniton torpedoes. these would do well as they could go through enemy shields like a sword though a Karmanian Hog. and the ships (which were pirate ships) were to attack a starbase known as Starbase 111. Nadia had ordered it to be destroyed or disabled for posable capture.

The Pirate ships, still cloaked were now starting to surround the starbase. The enemy had not seen the enemy as of yet and soon, The pirates would open fire.

The Warbird (which was the lead ship of this group) was commanded by a Klingon, Manbok. He knew that The Alliance would waiting for any attack. "Prepare to attack and send a message to Ayame, we have a target." he told Rebbakkakkei, a Wookiee. The wookiee roared and growled as that was how wookiees speek.

"Sir, I think we've got visitors" A Tactical officer reported "Cloaked, something just tripped the net"
"Red Alert, all hands to Battlstations, Raise Shields, Charge Phasers and load all Torpedo bays, scramble the ships we've got in our docking bay" The Admiral ordered as he exited the office.
The Starbase lept to Stations, its shields raised and weapons armed/

The Torpedoes were fireing as The ships soon started Decloaking, their Layered Shields ready to withstand the enemy's weapons. They had started Jamming Communacations and had sent their own message to Ayame that the station was ready for her attack.

The Armada was soon heading there, ready to attack.

While the first battle of the Invasion was happening. a Message was sent through out the Galaxy to any Warlike and Imperialist Nations that were wanting spoils. It was for anyone, Mercinaries, Pirates, Warlords, Empires, raiders, even The enemies of The Alliance for help in crushing it. The Hyperborians were the ones who sent the Message through out the galaxy, even Beyond it into other Galaxies, such as the Star Wars Galaxy and even The Huntaer Galaxy.

As the Starbases Hull plating was polarised so as to better defend from enemy weapons, the Station opened fire with its Powerful weapons array, the Starships that had been at the station began to attack the enemy ships.

The Pirate Ships did have better shields, as They had layer Shielding as The Hyperborians had, But two birds-of-prey did get damaged. The ships continued to poor laser and torpedo fire on the enemy station as suddenly......It came

The Armada had come at last.

"So, these humans have sharp teeth." Ayame said to her self, as her armada had dropped out of Hyperspace. She was on Her Flagship, The Hyperboria. "Take that station, Kill all on it if you have to, but I want that station for me and The Khanate!" She ordered the Admiral.

Soon the ships started firing against the station. Ion Cannons, Long Ranged Turbolasers, Missiles, Torpedoes and Beam Cannons fired agaisnt the enemy Starbase with the wrath of a Empire.

In their urgency to attack the Starbase, the enemy ships probably didn't notice that the entire system was full of very dense Metrion clouds, includeing close to the Starbase. Years ago, Starfleet had developed a system to stop normal weapons fire from ignigting the clouds, but at the same time they put an additional system in place. They probably didn't notice that the Starbase was very undermannded.

What they would notice was that most of the starships were moving away, and they would certainly notice what happened next. With the Starbase firing on automatic, a bright flash came out the stations deflector array aimed at the Metrion cloud below it. That cloud detonated, and within seconds the entire Cloud had detonated and the blast continued along the rest of the clouds in the system. The blast itself would cause damage to enemy ships, but if any had gotten it into their engine intakes then the result would be...devastateing.

The pirate ships were destoryed in the blast, nothing but a wreck. But then, what of the Armada.....was it destroyed? did the Alliance think they defeated The Powerful Hyperborian Khanate? Did this Space Hippies think they had won and the Hyperborians would welcome peace?

They were about the get a Wake Up Call.

As the blasted disapated, the enemy would soon see horrorble sight awaiting them.......

The Armada was still there!

"Foolish to the last." Ayame said to her self, seems the Alliance had not known all about Hyperborian Technology, as The ships has Layered Shielding, layers of Shields to better protect the ship.. Seem that The Alliance would have to be forced into a fair fight after all. "Active The FTLi Field" Ayame ordered.

FTLinhibiter fields were a good way of keeping ships from escapeing, as it made a energy field that Blocked anything from going at the speed of light or faster then the speed at light, making FTL Drives (such as Warp drives) useless.

No enemy renforcements could enter and no enemy ships could get out.

The battle would continue, and the dishonorble Alliance could do nothing about it.

"Well we took a few of the Bastards out" THe Admiral commented "Take us to Warp as soon as we clear the explosions reach"
"Sir, we've got a FTL Inhibitor field activated" The Helm officer reported.
"Calculate the changes we'll need to make in the Dilithuim matrix to go to warp" The Admiral ordered, all ships come about, Battlestations!"

"ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ayame yelled. Soon The Hyperborians fired all weapons against the enemy, from Disabling Ion Cannon fire to Beam Cannons, From Torpedoes to Missiles. The Hyperborians were pooring fire against the enemy ships.

Out the The Hangers, Thousands of Starfighters headed in, pooring out under the cover of The Attack against the enemy.

It would be a battle of glory.

As they sped past they opened fire with Phaser and Photon and Quantum Torpedo fire. Smaller ships, such as the miranda class didn't last long under enemy fire.

New Earth System

The Fabric of Space was torn apart as the Massive form of the Star Dreadnaught Golden Eye. Followed shortly by Resilliant Class Star Cruisers, Imperial Class Star Destroyers, Acclamator Class Escorts and Nebulon-B class Frigates, returned to Normal Space. They formed up in formation and the Flagship sent a message to the UAP government:
Attention, Brave People of the United Alliance of Planets, The Star Republic Here-by offers its assistance in protecting your people and your Planets. No one in the Universe has the right to just declare war on another without provocation and the Star Republic will Aid you

The Admiral placed the comm mic down and waited to see what the UAP would do. The Atmopshere on the bridge was electric as they waited to hear the responce.

The Starfleet Command Central Control room went into a state of Chaos as unidentified ships entered the system. The Massive collection f Starships that consisted the Home fleet headed out to meet them, fearing that they were here to attack.
When the message of support came through a cheer went up and the homefleet, save for the USS Samurai, a Sovereign class ship, who responded.
"Welcome Star Republic, we thank you for whatever help you can offer us, we fear we may have trouble without you" The Admiral aboard said.

The enemy did seem stupid, thinking getting close to the ships would keep them safe from Hyperborian fire.......WRONG!

The Hyperborians had counted on this as the enemy would find out as The Hyperborians also used Tractor Beams against the enemy ships and hold it in place and fire on it. Also, starfighters were swooping at the enemy ships, firing at the Bridge area, small and fast, they could douge enemy fire, even through a few did get destroyed

even through they were slow, Hyperborian Ships were large and powerful, with powerful shields and armored hulls, so getting close to them would not protect the enemy as The Hyperborians knew how to fight in space, a 3D battle were fire came from above, below and at the sides.

The Rin-Shi Cruisers fiired Plasma at the enmy ships, Plasma could pound the shields harder, burn through hulls and burn enemy crews. Fighters could not withstand it, as one Droid Starfighter got in the way of the tail of The fire ball and was burning to slag.

two Rin-Shi Cruisers and 6 Firgates were destroyed. The Super Star Destroyer Hyperboria was fireing, while Ayame was waiting for her trick card: Her OWN renforcements. "Break into the Subspace Communications and let the Alliance see their death." Ayame ordered.

Soon, The Alliance would start seeing any Program anyone was watching stop and a battle appear. The was to show The Might of Hyperboria.

That Pissed Ayame off "THEY ESCAPED!!!!!!!!!" the Khan of The Hyperborians yelled, "THAT FTLi SHOULD HAVE STOP THEM!!!!!" The Crew of The Hyperboria did not want to stop her ranting, lest they lose their heads.

"Send a Message to The Republic to find a Planet and do what they do best." She ordered, knowing of the Renforcements of hers.

The Republic was a Eclipse Class Star Dreadnought, a 17.5 km long monster, jet black and armed to the teeth. What was terrifying about the ship was it's main weapon: a Superlaser that had enough power to destroy a whole planet.

It was being escourted by 20 Rin-Shi Cruisers and 15 New Ships: Ra-Al Class Star Destroyers, the first Hyperborian buit star destroyers.

Grand Admiral Raiana Starlight was in charge of the Republic and the one who named it after The Self-Governing Ra-Al Republic, she was a Ra-Al, a Fox like race with Pupple Fur and Wings. The Females were more lovely to look at as they had lean bodies and Head Fur (hair) while The Males were larger, more Muscles on their bodies, 2 inch one Canine Teeth and Blood Red eyes.

She was the sister to Cimmarian Samurai Sango Starlight.

a Vixenian (a Foxtaur Alien) came up to her, "Message form The Armada." The alien said, Raiana read the message and looked down. "Find the nearest planet." She said.

Amongst the halls of Starfleet Tactical, discussions on enemy tactics were going on and decisions were being made on the Tactics that would be used in upcoming battles.

The Small Fleet lead by the Republic soon dropped out of Hyperspace. Admiral Starlight had ordered the ships to use long ranged sensors to find a enemy world and attack it outright. Raiana thought the idea of a attack against a heavy protected world was suicide, but an attack on one of the Colonies on the boarder might be good enough.

But to attack a planet with an enemy starbase would be a coup for the Hyperborians. so the sensors were sweaping the sector for a planet with a starbase in orbit. The jet back Eclipse Class Stardreadnought had a force of 150,000 Troops, 120 Nakas Attack Walkers and 230 RF-120 Fighter Tanks to attack the planet while The fleet would deal with the starbase and any fleet there.

The Hyperborians clearly hadn't head of a concept called Deep Space Stations. These were Starfleet Installations out on the frontier, admittedly there aren't as many as the normal starbases but they were still a presence. The Enemy attack would find their way to Deep Space Twelve.

What the Alliance forgot was that there was still the Kraken out there and also the Hyperborians still had a Large Armada that would get more renforcements as other fleets were massing already, ready to enter The Alliance and start taking over worlds.

Also, The Hyperborian had one other thing on their side: Diplomacy.

Already, The Hyperborians were sending Sango Starlight, a Cimmarian Samurai to take to one superpower, known as Frybar Gloer Gor Bari in the tounge the ruleing race of the nation used, It was better known as The Abh Empire.

The Hyperborians were once enemies with them, only to decide to abort one attack as they soon saw thet the Abh was WAY too powerful and far larger then The Khanate at that time. Now, the Hyperborians were sending a Ra Al to talk Peace with the Abh and a posable Alliance with them.

Hyperborians were not as stupid as Humans would like to think.

Deep Space Twelve, sat in orbit of Korsava Prime, one of the outmost colonies of the UAP. The station was the latest to get it's subwave Network gate operational.
