UNS invasion of City-State (MT, OPEN)

... A minor border dispute occurred between the UNS and Lang tree City-State today. The small but oil rich nation was known to have a love hate relationship with the UNS. With most controversy issues caused by their stubbornly refusal of the UNS offers to protect their oil fields. Official reports from the Minister of Defence say that the battle was quick and over in a matter of hours. When questioned about the rumored high death toll of innocent civilians the Minister responded quickly.

"There is no factual evidence at this time to suggest such actualization's are true."

Even so the recent flood of immigrants from Langtree supposedly fleeing the death and destruction in their wake have been sent to the Sexhill Deportation Center. No word from the Prime Minster can be reach at this time to suggest why such harsh treatment is being given to those fleeing the panic.

This is Tisha Jacobson from GNN news, Terror doesn't sleep and neither do you..."

Border between UNS and Langtree:

A convoy of UNS Army hummers moved along the bombed out road. Even though Bodies lay dead on the street and buildings were falling apart around them. Children were still oblivious to their surrounding, playing a game of soccer on the street. The convoy sped past another street, only to find it blocked by a mountain of debris. The lead Hummer contained one Lieutenant Colonel Crowley. Who spoke into his radio.

"All White Knight elements: We've have debris blocking the road. Standby for new orders. Six Over."

The Lt. Coronal walked out of his hummer surveying the street he picked out a local to ask for locations.

"White Knight Six: Local says there's a heavily guarded sub basement in a building three blocks from here. They'll know were here if we drive so were dismounting. Form a perimeter... and get these fucking kids out of here. Six out."

The soldiers exited their vehicles and followed their leader. Suddenly as if it seemed planed, all the kids swarmed one of the Privates. Distracted he couldn't see the unforgettable silhouette of an RPG.

The hummer exploded in a dazzling effect of fire and smoke killing the two drivers. The street let up. Sharpshooter armed with Lee Enfields on the roof supported the militia in a city bus peppering the UNS with AK-47's fire. From behind their hummers the UNS returned fire, their M16's and M4 carbines blasting off vital bits of body from Langtree militia and civilians alike.

Cars were bursting into flames.

Chucks of people's bodies were blew away from the rest of them.

Children were dying.

"It's a Cluster fuck!"

((Hi, and err... thanks for viewing my thread. I wanted to do something other that just another "foreign country invaded other country, starts bombing the hell out of other country for five pages" type of thing. So I thought it would be a little bit more original by making this a character RP. This was it can give off a more gritty personal horror of war type of vibe. Here is the map to the city:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ca/Quebec_City_Map_1906.jpg. Please feel free to give me as much criticism you feel is necessary. Ivan heard over the radio that his employers had ambushed a UNS patrol and were engaging them, but taking heavy losses. He was a former spetsnaz operative from Chernobyl-Pripyat, and had since became a mercenary in various small conflicts.

He moved out with a group of 3 others; him with an AKM with a mounted GP-30, another guy with a GPMG and two others with RPG-16's and what resembled sten guns. They flanked around the engagement zone, positioning themselves parallel to the UNS troops, who as of yet were unware of them and still engaging the locals. he told the machine gunner to enter the nearby building and go onto the 4th floor, and begin to fire short bursts at a humvee, killing the gunner but bringing fire upon himself. Thats when the RPG's were fired at the last and front most vehicle trapping the other humvees in the street. He squeezed off a few shots and fired a grenade at a group of UNS soldiers before relocating to another location. One of the RPG men was shot through the ear while reloading, dropping him without much effort. The machine gunner was wounded and had abandoned his M60 due to a broken firing pin. A paramilitary that had been moving across the street fell after taking a burst to the torso. the wounder machine gunner crawled behind debris and picked a half empty AK off and emptied the magazine at some UNS who were maneuvering behind a overturned vehicle, missing nearly every shot save for one which tore through one of the men's neck. As he reached for the spare magazine he was promptly hit with a well aimed shot from down the street.

Ivan and the remaining militiamen prepared to sprint across the street. He covered the man by picking off exposed UNS soldiers as the man sprinted and sprayed the crude sub machine gun at nothing. On the other side of the street at a metro entrance some militiamen put down suppressive fire with a PKM as he ran across and down into the underground, where we would help in formulating a defense plan for the city, knowing the UNS would likely bring more troops in.

SHIT
Thought Leiutenant Jeramy Biship as he took cover behind the nearest cover. Gripping his M4A1, he leaned from cover and laid down some fire at the enemy. As he reloaded he looked through the mayhem to find the Leiiutenant Colonel. Unable to do so, Jeramy turned his attention to the rebel infested City bus. With a grin determination he leveld his rifle and sent a 203 grenade straight into the bus.

Bullets whizzed past Cowley as he squeezed himself into the side of the hummer trying his best to make himself a small target. From his position at the seconded vehicle he could see the 'Lemmy's were flanking them, going into the metro but he would worry about them later. He couldn't let any more of his men die today. He taped the back of his radio man, "Remington, tell com we are taking heavy casualties, need heavy gunship support!"The man stood still, not moving a muscle. "Private did you hear me!" yelled Crowley giving the radio man a sharp blow to the back. The man slumped down face first into the ground, with a bloody bullet hole though the back of his head.

Shit

Grabbing the radio from the cold hands of Remington he spoke into the radio. "Com this is White Knight Six, we are taking heavy casualties I repeat heavy casualties request helicopter gunship fire support! Over."

"White Knight Six, we have no helicopters available at this time. Please standby. Over."

Useless bugger

Turning back to the battle he saw a 'Lemmy marksmen pop his head from a rooftop planter. Emptying his clip at the hummers. Crowley took aim and fired his rifle. The three burst shot exiting though the base of his skull.

*Boom*

Was the only word to describe the sound of Bishop's Grenade impact. The Grenadier's shot impacted the bus with deadly results. Two Militia men who had been in the blast radius could neither be considered men anymore. Their bodies burned and ripped by the shrapnel that all they were two broken bloody husks.

"To all White Knight elements: Sam, Queitus and Bishop use the back alleys to the left and flank the bus,we need to get the fuck out of here. Jacob use the hummers as cover and see if anyone is still alive in Carmen's Hummer. Everyone else, covering fire!

[is there a map of this city?]

The remaining fighters in the bus threw down a few smoke grenades and retreated into the metro, save for a wounded one who waited inside with grenades, and would blow himself up when the enemy entered the bus.

Inside of one of the rooms in the metro the local resistance leader was going over plans with a group of soldiers.

"We've ambushed them here in the street, but it didn't go exactly as expected. I want a sniper team to move 3 blocks up the street and position yourselves on different floors and pick off the usual.. machine gunners, grenadiers, medics and officers. When you get to the building barricade the first floor doors and windows and mine them.

The others attack from different directions, and don't be predictable. Since not all of you have armor piercing rounds, aim for their legs and other unarmored spots if you aren't sure if they use body armor, especially you with SMG's."

The snipers gabbed their rifles and moved through the sewer access tunnel.

Ivan and 14 others moved through the sewer access tunnels and emerged a few streets away in order to avoid a possible ambush at the metro entrance. They broke into 3 fireteams and advanced on the location the humvees and soon began firing at UNS soldiers who were going around the back of the bus from different directions. The 1st fireteam was out in open ground and took casualties from the returning fire.

IC:

The dark, leaden grey sky over the city-state of Langtree was, in the mind of Vasilav Mikhailovic, perfectly fitting for the mass scale slaughter now occurring in the war torn area. He had arrived in the nation a mere two months before, and he had quickly grown to hate the oil-rich shithole that he had now gotten himself into. When he first read reports on the areas wealth and multitude of warring militias, the nation sounded too good for a veteran arms dealer like himself. While he had most certainly done a fair share of profitable sales, the areas risks and dangers far outweighed the benefits. Vasilav was by no means a newcomer to war and conflict, he himself had served 5 and a half years as a member of the Volzgradien Imperial Army. Indeed, he still considered himself part of it, though his badge and papers clearly indicated him as one of Volzgrad's countless "sanctioned" arms dealers. Sure he resented the fact that all of his sales were taxed by the Volzgradien government, but at least he knew he would always have somewhere to run to or ask for aid if everything truly hit the fan. Now, it appeared such a moment was dangerously close at hand.

A large artillery shell detonated thunderously only 50 meters to Vasilav's right, but he had been through enough barrages to not flinch when something big and loud exploded close to him. With practiced ease he lowered himself and began a stooped run toward the large, three story building that was apparently the meeting point for his latest sale. Even from this distance, Vasilav could fully see the awe inspiring amount of shell and bullet holes marking the apartment's northern and western sides. He suddenly became very grateful that the meeting was taking place in the basement. Another nearby explosion made Vasilav quicken his pace, and soon he was nearly sprinting down the filthy alley he was now traveling in. The area was, thankfully, now almost barren due to the massive exodus of civilians from the area during the opening phases of the invasion by the UNS. Despite this, Vasilav made every attempt to camouflage himself in the surroundings. While his flowing, black greatcoat covered almost his entire body, the tell-tale scheme of black and grey urban camouflage still peaked out at his collar, ankles, and sleeves. Like all Volzgradien soldiers and arms dealers, Vasilav displayed the bulky ceramic and kevlar armour of the VIA proudly. On his head was perched the characteristic Volzgradien peaked "kvarka" cap.

Like a wraith, Vasilav turned another corner and finally came upon the dark, chunky looking van that he had opted to familiarize himself with during his stay in Langtree. It was beat up and slow, but it could carry an impressive amount of hidden weapons for the sales. Despite the increasing din of battle, Vasilav stalked toward the van with a long stride and calmly opened the rear door. He reached inside clumsily, before both his arms found the grips of the two large, gleaming black cases stored within. With a grunt of effort, Vasilav pulled them toward himself until they were nearly at the edge of the van's trunk. He opened them and examined the contents carefully.

"20 K-75 rifles (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=6095), 2 RPG-29s (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RPG-29), 50 Claymore mines (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claymore_mine), and 100 RGO Frag Grenades (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RGO_hand_grenade). Perfect." Vasilav calmly mumbled to himself as scanned the items.

With the flick of his hand, he closed the container and turned to walk toward the apartment's entrance. Now feeling confident, Vasilav strode over to the bolted, dented door to the building's apartment. After a moments pause, he quickly knocked on the door's hard metal exterior.

"This is Mikhailovic, the Volzgradien, I've got the things you wanted." Vasilav hissed as he finished knocking. He could hear movement inside, so the militia members were definitely waiting for him.

"Sam, Queitus, lets go!" Jeramy called as he and the other two soliders ran over to the alley. Moving quickly, but carefully through the backstreets. Standing from cover they quickly dispatched them before moving on.

GNN Flash News Report:

Riots were sparked last night at the Sexhill deportation center. Thousands of Langtree refugees attacked UNS immigration police as they handed out food packets in the Green Zone. We have no known numbers on how many people have died but estimates are in the hundreds. Officials report the rioters attacked with rocks, wooden boards and rusty pipes causing minimum damage. The riot lasted more than six hours before it was stamped out by the combined forces of State Police and Home Guard. There are unconfirmed reports that the UNS troopers fired live rounds into the crowd of people. After the attack the UNS protected Green Zone, considered by many as the last vessel of order in the increasingly chaotic refugee run town...

The Lieutenant Coronal picked up "his" radio again. "What are you waiting for Lieutenant secure the bus!". Another bullet it the side of his hummer, these militants would not let up! Cowley only had two packs worth of M16 ammo left. Inching his back into the backseat into the hummer he adjusted his position. The Coronal was in the seating behind the car door. Peeking his rifle scope through the side of the car door he spotted Militant troops advancing. Crowley opened fire. The first burst only glanced the target , striking the side. The know alerted troops opened fire onto the hummer, striking Crowley's hand. The grenadier let out a scream of pain, the rifle falling harmlessly outside the hummer door. Crowley still reeling in pain fell to the car's floor.

"Hmm, Imm, Omm, Sounded the radio obstructed behind Crowley's back. Crowley rolled over and grabbed the radio with his good hand. "*Gasp*... say again.*Gasp* Over."

"Com: *Gasp*... We have... RPGs in area... *Gasp*... not clear over... *Gasp*... Flank recommended. Over

Lieutenant Commander Evans looked out the periscope at a city on fire, his orders were to infiltrate 40 Navy SEALs into the city to act as Trainers for the Milita as well as Supply Weapons to the Militia, in this particular weapon run he had 33 81mm Mortars, 47 RPG-29s, and around 300 M-8 Assault Rifles, plus ammo, the 4 10 man SEAL Teams, knowing they could never completely stop the UNS Grenadiers, had opted to just kill as many of them as possible before they were forced to fall back to the Jimmy Carter and head back to Norfolk with her

"Command, APC's inbound... heading down 3rd, we can't hit them."

"Anynyone in the area to intercept?"

"We're in an apartment building down the street, we'll intercept them at the intersection." - mobile phone conversation

The anti armor teams in the building positioned themselves at the upper levels, while the extras en route through the sewers would shoot from ground level.

As they moved around the combat zone and began to enter the intersection, a pair of RPG's were launched from different directions at the lead vehicle, and the PKM gunner began putting down fire over each of the vehicles.

In the street fighting, most of the militiamen were outclassed by the UNS soldiers. most of Ivan's squad was wiped out, and were down to 3, including himself. He peaked around the corner, noticing a fire&manuver team break off from thier main squad and advance forward, while the others seemed to pull back to assist another squad. AS thy got closer and closer, he checked the chamber of his rifle, and when they were just meters away, dropped onto his shoulder on the ground and fired quick bursts at them from around the corner killing one instantly, and wounding the other. [he had a plate carrier on, and was hit in the legs while the rounds o the torso were stopped.] The wounder man dived for cover behind a parked van to use as concealment. Ivan shot at his feet, causing the man to fall over, then he finished him with a shot to the face.

He attempted to reload, but was out of magazines, so he took an M4 off of one of the dead UNS along with a radioset and the mags fro both men. He then regrouped with another militia team who was inbound to fight the APC's.

They were ambushed by about thirty two militia.

Both sides took heavy losses, the UNS taking appox. six deaths and an unknown number of wounded

While the Militia took appox. seven deaths and a unknown number of casualties.

When the enemy moved off, he followed him and when he met with other rebels he took up a postion round the corner, he checked his M4 was loaded.

Commander John Wilcott and the other 39 men of SEAL Teams 8-12 headed off in a couple of pickups they had managed to find and get running, their goal was just to find some Militia men and have them take them to whoever was in command, if their was someone, if their wasnt, they were to set up a command structure, on the members they all had their Dragon Skin Body Armor, as well as their Standard Weapons as well as the weapons they were gonna supply to the Militia, they headed off in their 4 Pickups, dressed as any other Militiaman would be

((Good questions, I really haven't thought of any command structure for the militia. Perhaps that militia would function as a sort of council between the leaders street gangs and national guard, giving up their endless infighting to join against a common foe. The citadel would be a great place for you to set up. It's near the water so your men will be able to land relativity close to it. Also my mean are mainly fighting on the streets so the UNS will probably in the last stages of fighting before they can even reach your base.))

((Most likely what the crew of the APC's are pumping through the loud speakers attached to the sides of the their vehicles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WjFq0_g93k)). The two rockets sped towards the lead Bradley. The first rocket missed, kicking up a cloud of dirt just meters ahead of the PC. The other one however hit straight up target. The rocket caused massive damage to the APC's tracks stopping it dead. Spinning its turret in the directing of the one of the Anti-Tank soldiers the Bradley let up a blast of machine gun firing. Fragile glass shattered and cheaply made plaster chipped as the machine gun refused to let up.

Inside the Bradley the crew was panicking. "Jesus, what hit us!"

"RPG's they have RPG's!"

"We can't move, we can't move!"

"Unload the cargo, tell Kevin and Peter to keep moving!"

The soldiers inside the Bradly rushed out. Spiriting toawrds cover as Machine gun fire fired over them. One of privates was hit through the face, the force of the rounds spun him like a rag doll. The Grenadiers not missing a stride entered the militia held apartment building. Once inside the soldiers started to make their way up the stairs. Their rifles unsuited for close quarters were held by the men in an awkward position. Shifting around they made their long climb to the Militia's level.

The two other Bradley's sped past the lead APC. Their machine gun rotating three hundred and sixty degrees looking for enemy targets. Once around the corner the APC's unloaded their cargo as well. The twelve soldiers spit into their squads and advanced towards the enemy bus.

As the SEAL Teams sped towards the Citadel, they encountered a few Militamen, who the SEALs ordered to send a few men back from the lead Militia Units as well as lead 3 of the teams to a point within the city from which they could start engaging the enemy, while they would be supplying the Militia with 2nd Grade weapons for now, they had top of the notch, including Javelins, M107 Sniper Rifles, and M9 Assault Rifles and LMGs, 10 men went to the Citadel with 50 of the M-8s, and the rest went with the Militiamen with the remaining weapons to assist the Militia however possible

OOC:I got a idea for how this goes, how about your first attempt gets pushed back eventually by a combination of Militia members and Spec Ops as i am planning to eventually send more men, than you attempt a second push with more men, in between those times i initiate a training program for the Militia to make them into a more effective Fighting force, but your second push does succeed but only with heavy casulties considering you were "only" fighting Militia

(( Maybe you could commit an organized attack on the UNS DMZ, that would really scare that UNS. Until now they were convinced that their enemy was just a rabble of angry religious fundamentalists.))

Note the following excerpt is from Jimmy Burns latest novel: Shooting War, download it free off www.burnsbabysburn.com:

Belly of the Beasts

I picked a brilliant time to head into the belly of the beast. The Oil crisis was just hitting its crescendo. The Islamic junta in the Nigerian distracts had teamed up with the Chavez and Eastern European Mullahs to cut off oil to the west. Gas hit fifteen dollars a litre and the UNS economy spiraled into recession. Everyone, left right, and middle was screaming to get out of Langtree. But General Roman was trapped. There was no way he was going to give up our "coaling stations" in Langtree too much blood had been spilled, too many billions spent. The "hardened" DMZ built to withstand. The oil fields to the north were still under the control of our last friends east of JerichoSeven- The Jews. They are Romans only hope to keep the spigot from getting shut off all together. But down south it was getting ugly- Real Ugly.

The Zion peacekeepers were taking about pulling out of the safe zone after suffering, unspeakable horrors. In Langtree's poorer distracts Block-to-Block battles were going down daily between the various Sunni and Karaite militias. In 0'9 Roman purged the Langtree Northern National Army of extremists from both sides, and reconstituted it with our old allies, the Sorskiens. It was a bold move. Their weren't many Sorskien "extra-nationalists" as the Prime Minister liked to call them left alive. The Ten thousand UNS troops still in country were the most battle hardened ruthless 'mothers the High Command could muster. Rumor was Langtree militants were inching their way north for the great showdown all the Jesus freaks and Jihad heads had been waiting for. It was looking more the Saigon two every day.

That or Judgement Day...

The force of the machine gun fired hurled a Private from his position as point, knocking him back into soldier behind him. The two hapless soldiers tumbled down the stairs. Now wary of the militia's presents in the building a private rushed up towards the door and threw a grenade, retreating back down to the safety of his squad. The concession of the grenade shacked the bones of the Soldiers. With their weapons primed they made their way into the hall way.

Alley

The troops ducked for cover as the militia counter attacked. Taking positions behind destroyed cars, dumpster or anything else solid, they returned fire. This quickly became a game of heroics, with each side moving out of cover to deliver their bout of automatic fire then just as quickly move back into their cover. The UNS sergeant threw a smoke grenade onto the street, but high winds carried most of the smoke away from the road. Cursing himself the Sergeant moved back into cover and hunched down for a long battle.

An image of a young man appears into the screen. Cuts and bruises cover his face, by the looks of him he seem liked he was just through hell and back.

"This is Jimmy Burns reporting live from Langtree."

The sound of a close explosion can be heard. Jimmy ducks for cover as dust surrounds the area. After a few seconds Jimmy reappears

"Langtree insurgents have launched a surprise major attack across the DMZ today. Catching Commonwealth and Jewish nationalist’s forces off-guard."

The sound of gunfire can be heard, getting closer every second. Jimmy looks around then continues.

"The Commonwealth protected DMZ is in chaos where a non-stop barrage of sniper and rocket attacks has caused an unknown number of casualties."

A shuffle of footsteps can be heard.

The UNS military has ordered the evacuation of non-essential personnel from the DMZ, and has temporarily suspended the journalist embed program-

A hand his put around Jimmy's shoulder. Off camera a voice thick with Sorksien accent can be heard.

"TV good. TV good. We go."

The camera now turns to tall well built male with his face obscured by a pair of enormous goggles. As the man moves the camera follows. The shakily footage shows them running across a bombed out street on the ground the remains of a sign for Starbucks coffee can be seen. Again sounds of intense automatic weapon fire can be heard very close. Turning another street they enter a white civilian car. The Sorskien solider turns to the camera man with his gun out.

"Move! Move!"

The camera man moves to the side and the Sorskien fires and gun at an unseen enemy inside a building. Now he motions for the group to get inside the car. Once inside Jimmy takes the wheel, and questions the Solider.
“What’s going on, last time I check the Langtree’s don’t have the weapons to do this?”

“Where are the Grenadiers? The Seals, they are coming.
They have rocket. Where are the Grenadiers?”

“What do you mean, the seals?”

"The Yankee dogfuckers. The Grenadiers say militants are coming! We are dead without Grenadiers. Where is your Roman?

Sounds of helicopters can be heard. The camera pans up to see several Apache helicopter fly by. The crew exits the van, moving into a apartment building. The following minutes of shaky camera footage are of the groups ascent up the stairs. Evey few levels the Soldiers would fire out a nearby window, not evening aiming. Once outside they were greeted by a squad of Sorkiens. The camera moves fast trying to capture the action. First:A Sorskien is shown firing a cross between a rifle and a RPG. The rocket screamed into the air, until out of sight. Next: Thirty seconds of unterrupted AK-47 fire. Finally a UNS grenadiere emerges from the stair case, carrying a radio pack and a pair of binoculars.

" 'Git 'at of tha' way."

The Genadier peers through his binoculars, then speaks a few words of jargon into his radio. The camera zooms to maximum showing small black images of a helicopter sprouting red blots. The dull thud of a rocket being fired can also be heard.

"Mister Jimmy. Mister Jimmy. We have to go. Rocket!"

The camera falls to the ground, dust surronds the screen, guns can be heard firing and-

The SEAL Teams attack had gone better than they had anticipated, and it had bought time for the Jimmy Carter and 3 of her Sisterships to return with a further 120 Men as well as more AT and AA Missiles and Guns. They landed near the Citadel, where they learned from the 10 men left there to train the Militia, the SEAL Teams grabbed as many availiable Militia as Possible and they all drove to the DMZ, when they got there, they soon fired 12 Stingers at the Apaches after they abandoned their Vehicles, than the SEALs with about 180 Militiamen, trained and equipped to about equal that of the UNS Grenadiers, moved upto reinforce the 30 other Men and the Assorted Milita that had joined in, of the oringinal 30 SEALS to go in, only 7 were unwounded, though most of them were only flesh wounds, each of them were still alive, one of the snipers spotted what appeared to be a Cameraman, and a man standing nearby, he soon thereafter fired a shot at the closest Armed Man he could see. Meanwhile, Mortar fire started landing all ove rthe DMZ, mostly 81mm Mortars, but a few were 120mm Mortars, which had the effect of making the ground tremble each time one landed

As the militia took casualties, they made a change of tactics. 4 men would lay down aimed suppression fire, while the others evacuate the wounded. Ivan shot around the corner until his gun jammed, then took a few seconds to clear it. Some rebels threw stick grenades over cover, then taking cover because they had the extra fragmentation sleeve on.

As the grenade exploded a few rooms away, windows shattered and asbestos ceiling panels fell. The RPG gunner leaned around the hall and fired ff a few shots before beginning to move.

The PKM gunner was dazed by the blast, and was getting off the floor as he heard foot steps approaching. Knowing there wasn't many places he could get to, he took an F1 hand grenade off his belt, pulled the pin and held it tightly in one hand, while the other pointed the PKM in the direction where the UNS were coming from. If he gets hit, he would end up losing his grip on the grenade.

Streets

The rebels reorganized their tactics. Instead of trying to have prolonged firefights, they would operate in small groups and maneuver behind the UNS forces, and attack their rears, then quickly retreat to a new location and ambush possible pursuers. With the new weapons available to them from sources unknown to them, they began utilizing snipers more frequently.

The lead private was on edge. Badly shaken by the deafen grenade blast he could hardly keep his rifle steady. Making his way though the door he spotted the silhouetted of the PKM gunner. Panicked he fired. The recoil spun the rifle around. Bullets ricocheted off the sides of walls. One bullet hit a heating pipe. A torrent of searing hot steam filled the small corridor.

Streets

All of a sudden the gunfire stopped. The grenadiers little by little each raised their heads from cover. The relief forces hastily moved towards their remaining allies. The street was ravaged. Large craters dotted the street, scraped by the constant barrages of automatic fire. The gutted bodies of civilians were strewn across. Most were small children, their young bodies smeared across the bloodied street.

The Relief forces made their way to the hummers. The medics hurriedly made their way to the critically wounded. These unlucky of men were torn to shreds by crossfire, yet, manged to stay alive. The medics shifted their eyes away from them, while administering the Grenadiers cocktail. A mix of morphine, aspirin, and Vodka. The wounded men drowsily turned to sleep. The medics then moved towards the soldiers they could save. banding and mending as best they could.

The Colonel eased his way out the hummer. Still griping his wounded hand he made his way to a medic under the cover of another hummer. "Oi!" was enough to get the medical officers attention. Grunting by the not so subtle handing of tender hand Crowley did as best he could to block out pain.

The rest of the unwounded, or at least minor wounded formed a perimeter around the site. The hours of fighting had taken their toll on the soldiers. Tried and dull they raised their rifles once again.

A few of the SEALs saw this HMMWV Convoy, they had a few Javelins left, so they targeted them, they also had most of the Trained Militia Force and several Snipers with them, soon after they got set up, 6 Javelins shot off towards the Hummers, at the same time, 4 50.cal Sniper Rifles boomed, and Militiamen started laying down fire from their supplied M249 LMGs, while the 150 Men with Assault rifles began moving towards the enemy, they were trained to about equal that of the UNS Troops, so this was largely gonna be a fight of luck and numbers

After the grenades went off, they began pulling back by fireteams to fight another battle, in part that they were running low on ammo.

As the steam quickly filled the room, he held down the trigger, sweeping it from left to right on an angle. As the belt ended, he threw the grenade through the door way. He knew it would take him out ith it, but it was better then being captured.

Street

A small group of rebels had used the sewers to move behind the main UNS line, and were soon advancing on a group of humvees, sneaking past a Bradley which was preoccupied with another rebel position. As they closed in, they prepared for a quick engagement, then would take positions with 5 others who laid in wait in a building with mostly small arms, but they had a DShKM set up in addition.

The lead rebel, using a piece of broken mirror to look around the corner, ordered the attack to commence. Their enemy had set up a perimeter, but the soldiers appeared to be drugged and could possibly have slow reaction time. Within seconds 10 gunmen emerged from cover and began firing into the soldiers and vehicles, and an RPG-7V with an OG-7V AP round was fired from a nearby building.

Shrapnel flew everywhere. Cutting, ripping and shearing anything in it's path. The white mist turned to a red shower. Only one Corporal Kien was left, just entering the staircase. In a state of complete terror the Corporal dropped with weapon then ran for his dear life back to the street.

At the sound of gunfire Crowley's instinct kicked in. Ducking behind the ruined Humvee. Hastily he reached for his M16, only to find himself grabbing thin air.

Shit

He thought to himself. Remembering too late he had dropped the lovable modified rifle on the other side of the Humvee, incidentally where the bullets were being directed from. Drawing his standard issues M9 pistol to bear he maneuvered past a pair of huddled medics, trying to operate on their patient while bullets flew over their head. Once Crowley manged to make it to the edge he peered to the side. Only to violently jerk it back as two rounds whizzed past his nose. Blind Firing he Emptied his clip.Crowley peered again, a bit more carefully towards the side. The few soldiers at the last Humvee were pinned down unable to return fire. Shifting himself back into full cover Crowley picked up his radio.

"Bradley-Four, Bradley-Four do you read?

"Krrk... we read White Knight-Six... Krrk.

"Prepare for incoming cargo, then make your way to check-point two-zero. Do not wait for us. Do you read?

"Uh, roger that White-Knight six preparing for incoming cargo."

Changing his frequency the Lt. Col. spoke again.

"To all White-Knight elements: The wounded at the front of the convoy are to be transferred to the Bradley, along with-"
Crowley was interrupted by the screeched of an RPG being fired over his head. The rocket hit a nearby wall, with wood, and stone debris falling around the Grenadiers.

At that moment, Satellite guided 120mm mortar fire began to drop very accurately into that section of street, so accurately in fact, that none of the buildings were hit, also at the same time, several Javelins streaked out towards the remaining Bradleys, and the Snipers began focusing their 50.cal Rifles on the HMMWVs engines, detroying them usually in one shot
