Selenon

Matthew Eden sipped the glass of water, his emotionless steel-blue eyes fixed on Governor John Frederick Williams. This was the man who had continued whoring Orpalm to the government of Dorthorpe, and he would pay for his actions. It entertained Eden to see this man scream as his skin was slowly skinned off him with a breadknife, a fitting punishment for him. Eden put the glass of water down on the table, and walked to the side of the Governor, who was tied to a dinner table. Oh, the idiots. The people of the Free Baptist Church, whom made up the majority of Orpalm, had fallen for his revolutionary ideas to start a Christian kingdom in Orpalm and stop the 'spreading of the infection' of false gods and foreign culture. He had trained his guerrillas in secret, training them like Federal Selenian Army trained him. He had got hold of enough Kalashnikovs and other weapons to conduct a coup d’état, which had just ended. Of course, Eden had no belief at all in any deity, and had only joined the Free Baptists so he could start this revolution and enjoy the mass killings he would then conduct. The bloodshed and the mutilations gave him a rush and made him grin with delight. It looked so right, all the dead bodies, all the helpless civilians piled up, the raped men and women, the tear-filled eyes of little children as their families were executed or worse.
"So, Mister Frederick, how do you feel now? In the living room, your wife is being raped, along with your daughters. How do you feel? Well?" he smirked at him, ordering the skinning to stop. He punched his nose hard, causing the liquid known as blood to stream out of him like a waterfall, the screams of his family in the other room causing him to vomit. He grinned, and started punching him as hard as he could continuously.
"Sir, I think he's-" said one of the skinners, the blood hitting the walls.
Matthew grinned. "Show him to his family, then execute them."
What an ungodly beginning to the 'Christian' Kingdom of Orpalm, thought Eden.

Sarstoke quietly sipped her tea as she turned the page of Secret Scripture, the dark romance novel she was just beginning on. Her husband, the First Gentleman, was asleep soundly, his half-empty glass of whiskey on his bedside table. Sarstoke preferred tea, but she understood her husband's fetish for whiskey; after all, he came from Magelene. She jumped whenever the door was practically pushed open by the ex-ranger Cain Gladstone, dropping her novel onto the floor and causing her husband, Benjamin, to wake up before going back to sleep in a matter of seconds. Sarstoke picked her novel back up, sipped her tea as Cain handed her some documents. My son's older than him , she thought as a smirk crept onto her face. That was always the first thing she thought when she saw the Defence Minister!
Her smirk was cut off quickly as she looked at the first paragraph of the documents, actually a Special National Security Report. The State of Orpalm has been subject to a coup d’état organised by a fundamental Christian group which has declared Orpalm an independent state, the Christian Kingdom of Orpalm, and has proceeded to execute Governor Williams, his family, and has declared that a mass purge will take place which will kill thousands of non-Christians residing in the state. The leader of these rebels, Matthew Eden, has declared that a state of war exists between Orpalm and Selenon. Her smile turned into a grimace in a matter of seconds.
"Matthew Eden?" she asked rhetorically. "Griffith should have killed him when he had the chance. Let me get dressed, and I will enter my office in a moment."
Cain left the room without a word, closing the door. She quickly put on her suit quickly, and finished off her tea. She let her husband lie there, for he would need the sleep, knowing him. She exited the room and walked briskly to her office, the President's Office, opened the door and was greeted by Prime Minister Johannes Lazarus, Chancellor Alfred Miller, Foreign Minister Abel Augustus and Defence Minister Cain Gladstone. She greeted them all before sitting down on her suit, a copy of the last Report on her desk and all four of the chief members of her Cabinet looking like they had just died as they sat down on the expensive leather seats in front of the desk, Cain and Johannes standing due to a lack of seats.
Sarstoke spoke first. "Friends, this is the greatest national security threat to the nation since last century. I am sure we all agree on what we must do, but differ on the how we should do it. Am I correct?"
He was. The rest of them gave their opinions on what should be done, and Sarstoke listened well, not interrupting them at all, before speaking again. "Friends, I am afraid that if we want to spare as many of our brave soldiers lifes' as possible, we will have to engage in non-conventional warfare to win this. If we storm in with our battalions, it will take many decades to entirely snuff out the guerrilla soldiers. That is why I propose we take a drastic action which must be kept at CRIMSON level secrecy. Understood?"
They all nodded before Sarstoke began speaking again. "Biological warfare. I am not interested in how it is done, but we must cause an outbreak of the anthrax in Orpalm."
The Chancellor actually fainted at that. Johannes started to speak. "Madam President, that's...that's...bioterrorism!"
"Biological warfare. Keep this secret at all times. I command you, Cain, to cause this outbreak in anyway you wish, as long as it pushes the guerrillas into surrender. Understood?"
Cain was emotionless. "Yes, Madam."
"Johannes, make a statement ASAP stating that we plan to surround the country before attacking. Understood? And make sure the Chancellor doesn’t run off and tell the press."
"Yes...Madam.." Johannes spoke.
"Good night, friends."

The lone Boeing B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber passed over the city of Octown, the capital of Orpalm. It carried a lone bomb, an anthrax bomb, which would either way hit Octown and infect the small city and, soon, the entire rebel country. Piloting it was Flying Officer Henry Dalton, who had been sworn to secrecy before this mission. He knew little except that he carried a lone bomb which he would drop over the capital and leave instantly. The rebels had little in the way of radar technology, so, chances were, he would go unspotted.
Dalton passed over the heart of the city, knowing to drop it now. But he was having doubts. For all he knew, this bomb was a nuclear weapon. It could kill hundreds, thousands, even millions of people. No, he could kill hundreds, thousands, millions...
But he had sworn to follow all commands from Command whenever he first took flight in the Air Force. He sighed and dropped the bomb. The bomb would explode as soon as it hit the ground, probably infecting a thousand people before the end of the day. Little did he know he had started an outbreak of anthrax in a small, rebel theocratic kingdom.
He started flying back to headquarters, unnoticed, the doubts getting to him. The only other people who knew of the dropping of that bomb was the President, Prime Minister, Chancellor, Foreign Minister, Defence Minister and his Squadron Leader...it was CRIMSON level secret, the highest level of secrecy in the Federal Republic...he couldn't live with himself knowing what he had done...
