The Final Solution to the Fedral Question

The silence enveloped all in the room as they watched the final planet blown to bits by the Might of Sorath's cannons.

"So that's it, then." Chancellor Maraidt Enilanuki folded his arms in front of him as Admiral-Galactica Vanir Thorevi Mökkvaesir turned off the display.

"Yes. God has passed judgement on the Fedrals for their crimes, and His Will has been done." Overlooking the entire situation, Tsar Alexei, in corperal form, nodded.

"We have found the solution to our problem. The Fedral Union is no more, forever purged from the universe." The group of Dersconi - as well as some Vascilian representatives - all moved out of the room as the rest of the monitors shut down and the Dersconi fleets began their trek home.

Out-of-Character

Okay. Those that will join me in this action are less hesitant than I, and less unwilling, but so be it. I'm not a fan of ignoring people, and the IC section was to put an IC face on the ignore. Alas, I have come to the conclusion that there is no real other option.

TFU has, almost since its inception, violated almost every standard of freeform roleplay ever, the most recent situation being the most obvious and most pressing. Now, while we all are imperfect, and all cross the line sometimes, it is my opinion that TFU lives on the other side of that line.

With this most recent fiasco, TFU has demonstrated once again that, while he feels himself right to create clusterfucks involving new players, when he finds himself on the other end of the Galactic Judgement barrel for doing something that is in-character-wise intolerable, he merely ignores the situation when he faces defeat.

Therefore, because of this, and OOC difficulties, TFU is being ignored. TFU, for me, at least, it's nothing personal, though I won't speak for anyone else. The purpose of the thread isn't to grief or flame, but merely to provide an IC reference and purpose for the OOC ignore.

Good day.

Ladelle Tradisha, the only female member of the enigmatic Aumanii special forces team known as Special Unit 2, sat with the others. She said nothing, she knew that it was necessary to do what they had done and held no regrets. She was the remorseless angel of death that the nation needed, to destroy the enemies of decency, to protect the free peoples of the universe. It may be harsh, it may be cruel, but it was necessary.

OOC:

I am in full agreement. Will I have no OOC dislike of TFU, I have to say that everytime one is roleplaying with that nation, it never ends well and is a massive waste of time.

IC: The Golem King is not concerned.

OOC: A whole thread for this, really ? I did think a lot better of you than this Derscon.

PS. I meant to imply that this was not worthy of posts, let alone a thread.

PPS. I just want to applaud the bravery and fortitude of the many warriers who worked so hard to finally defeat the UTF, without their courage valour i scarcely believe such an awesome feat would have been possible. Truly inspiring, the effort that went into the gritty and memorable campaign, we shall be singing their songs around the fire for generations to come.

News of the destruction of the Fedral Union seeped into the Star Republic of Fluffywuffy, flowing like sticky maple syrup. It was sweet news indeed. Recordings of the final destruction of the final world became spread like wildfire through file sharing networks, and soon every man, woman, and child in the Star Republic had seen the events. It was a terrible sight to behold--no one enjoyed seeing the world burn--but it let the righteous anger of the populace die down. The public calls for the leadership of the Fedral Union to commit suicide ended. The screams of radicals to totally burn the populace is this aggressive and evil nation ended. They were all replaced with tears; tears of joy, tears of the hope of a galaxy free from the influence of a large, psychotic nation that bombarded civilian stations at random. Free at last.

President Henry Edelweiss issued a public statement, saying, "it is most unfortunate that the Fedral leadership did not accept our demands to engage in the cleansing rituals necessary to atone for their blood-guilt. While we must condemn the wholesale destruction of their nation, we must admit we breathe easier."

OOC: Yes, I am ignoring you as well.

Lol.

That is all that this thread and all the vendetta fuelled actions that have led to it deserve from me, and from most sensible others. Banal amusement, and pity.

"What a long strange trip it's been..." said Admiral Hightower as he watched the destruction of the planet.

"I'm just glad that this is over and we can go home now." said Captain Douglas, standing next to the admiral on the bridge of the battleship Atheros.

"I agree. Many months have passed since the Fedral attack on Haven. It's nice to see justice finally administered." replied the Admiral.

"Helm, set course for home."

Shortly thereafter, the Jannarii fleet exited the orbit of the soon to be asteroid belt and made its way towards home.

OOC: I'm with Auman and Derscon on this one. As far as I'm concerned, The Fedral Union is no more than a footnote in history.

OOC: As I stated, it was to create an IC situation as to not leave a gaping hole in the storyline. What was I going to do, post it in the GA thread? I think not. New threads are for new topics and situations. I felt it was the most appropriate venue to hilight the IC situation reflecting the OOC difficulties. Please read everything before commenting.

I have to agree with Chronosia on this one. Although I respect a players right to play with whom they wish and not, this is kinda strange. OOCly I find that if you work out a thread with someone ahead of time, and do not go back on your word, then usually things turn out well no matter how bad ICly it is for that player.

Perhaps this is the problem with open threads, lack of discussion, and uniform RP until things hit the fan so to speak. I would recommend instead of ignoring, you sit down rationally and work out RP in detail, and then have fun.

I am currently in a thread with him, and it won't be pleasant. OOCly it was worked out, and there is no problems or yelling or screaming.

OOC: We've found, from our experience, that this would be impossible. It's just not going to happen. I HATE ignoring people, and don't really dislike TFU, but even I have found out that it just isn't going to happen. I've thought about this for awhile, I'm not doing this just on a whim.

Well I wasn't arguing. I always respect people's right to play with those they wish. I am horrible at playing with those outside my main RP group. But in any event I would like to show you how things can be done without OOC bickering.

This thread : http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=594754 Which is by far going to end in a fate worse than anything else for TFU, was worked out and agreed upon. Huntaer, myself and TFU are currently working together in full cooperation to make this rp work out well. The Key is respect. To make those whom you wish to talk to feel respected. I am not saying one side is to blame or the other, nor am I condemning anyone. Just if I may I would like to show how it is possible to work with him, without the need for ignore.

If you choose to keep the ignore, it is your choice and I respect that.

OOC: Amazingly a lot can change in 4 years. Gravedigging doesn't change my current disdain for all that has come to pass, or for select members among those involved. Again, I'm not getting into this. I believe I've made my stance perfectly clear, and I'm sticking to it.

OOC: None of this is helping, none of this is necessary. In the end it's going to be the opinion of a distinct minority against the resounding status quo of everyone else. I can hardly make the situation worse than has already been managed, so I think I might stay a while, maybe put my feet up, enjoy a chilled beverage. Laughter really takes it out of you

Fleet Admiral Wainwright sat exhausted in his chair. He had been awake for the final 36 hours of this campaign, dressed in the black war robes of the men blessed by the Goddess of Death prior to the start of this mission (by proxy of her priestesses). It was the first time in ages that any Imperial servicemen had been adorned with such robes, and Wainwright knew it would not be the last.

Wainwright expected a triumph to be held upon the fleet's return, but there wouldn't be much in the way of trophies and treasure to be paraded around. It would just be another parade, but it would be far better just to sleep in his bed when he got home.

The New Havenic fleet engaged its FTL drives and went home.

OOC: Ignored.

If a nation does not wish to RP with another they do not have to. It is simple as that. There is no need for a thread such as this to publicly rally others against in this case TFU. Its like children on a playground telling others to not play with someone they dont like. There simply isnt a need for it.

I hope this thread gets locked. This is something that should be resolved OOCly. Bad Form

OOC: Do you know how to read, WIck? It seems neither you, or a lot of others who commented about this thread, can grasp this basic concept of "reading the whole OP." Since apparently, people keep missing the "I am providing an IC context for the ignore," I edited my post to highlight that fact so this sort of confusion won't happen again.
