On the edge of the Fedral’s space:

Captain Xavier leaned gently against his chair, staring out into the black of space. It was such a boring assignment, to shuttle a single diplomatic droid to the capitol of such an ungrateful nation. Taking a deep breath he sighed as he looked out the screen.

“How much longer?” he asked the navigator, trying his best to contain his yawn. “We are pushing warp 7.4, sir.” The young lady at the helm stated. “At current speed, we will reach the coordinates in 1 day, twelve hours and…”

Waiving his hand dismissively, he looked to the Huntarian Emblem on the wall. “I get it, so another week in this rust bucket. I can’t wait.” He said annoyed.

“Sir.” The woman replied, “This mission is of the utmost importance. The Kirtir have a vested interest in the peace brokering of the Huntarian Empire, and the Fedrals.” She said as the blond woman turned her attention towards her commander. “Rumor has it, Lady Eclipse, has ordered this mission herself.”

Captain Xavier stood up, and gently began to stretch his back. Putting his hand behind his neck, his joints popped slightly. “I am aware of who ordered the mission. A new upstart Kirtir though has no place attempting to change a policy towards the traitors of the Galactic Empire. Obviously that armored bitch hasn’t read her history books.” He said as he took a step and began to walk around the bridge to stretch his joints.

“Yes sir.” She replied, “But Lord Vorman agrees with her. I would think you would be honored to be a part of…”

Suddenly a beeping noise broke through the slight bickering. “Sir.” The woman responded, as she looked at her computer console quickly. “Several ships are on intercept. Bearing 022, Mark -43 Carom 720.”

The Captain sat down in his chair. “Probably the fedrals wanting to give us a welcome. On screen.”

Suddenly before the unarmed diplomatic ship, was a small squadron of X-wings. He sighed, ‘Looks like the fedrals have bought a shipment of obsolete fighters as well. Open hailing frequencies.”

“No response sir.”

“Try again.”

Suddenly the ship rocked, as green turbo laser blasts began to smash into the hull. “Raise shields, damage report.”

“Port nacelle has been hit, reading damage to the warp core. Shields are at 85%.” She sounded off, as the ship was hit again. The ship suddenly dropped out of warp. “Any weapons on this tug boat?” Xavier yelled out.

“No sir, it’s a diplomatic ship.” She said.

Frustrated, Xavier hit the control panel on his chair, shattering the computer below it. “Send out a distress signal all channels”

The TAS Gilgamish, battle group 19 just inside Alliance territory, Captain Trevor Hall sunk back in to his chair folding his hands over his lap, his blue eyes focusing on various things around the map, locations holo monitors and tracking station feeds.

Trevor sighed and mumbled a few barley audible things about being assigned to such a boring border patrol, suddenly the map lit up, red dots rippled through out a local sector of space.

Commander Levitt was assigned to the other side of the bridge watching this, blips of noise started to echo through the rather massive command center of the ship. It was a general Distress call it seemed. Levitt quickly swiveled her chair to look at the captain, her brown eyes focusing on him.

Hall Looked back and said having heard the noise.

“What the hell is going on?”

Levitt Responded briskly and quickly her hands folded upon her lap.

“Sir we have a distress call about a light year out, sensors and tracking stations are detecting weapons fire, sir it’s a diplomatic shuttle!”

Trevor stiffed up and adjusted his blue well ironed uniform over himself, he placed his hands on the armrests of his chair, blips of computer noises, and sensors scans part of the ambiance of the bridge. The soft white and blue light emphasized the utilitarian chrome and metal construct of the bridge.

“All-right”

Hall started to bark out. ..

“ Prepare to jump Coaxial drives at full, battle stations!”

Levitt Nodded she stood up as, the massive Heavy cruisers form started to crackle and glow with blue electrical like energy around it, its form warped and twisted as space was folded around it, an in an instant several million KM away from the fire fight it appeared, its utterly behemoth rough hulled form dwarfing every ship there, its weapons where hot and shields online. The power emissions from the ship utterly massive.

Hall sent out a message.

“This is Captain Trevor of the TAS Gilgamish, we have received a distress call from this area, to all attacking ships, with draw right away or we will be forced to initiate deadly force!”

Hall then turned to Levitt and said.

“Launch fighters!”

The two fighter pods on each side of the ship lit up with white and blue particle exhaust as several squadrons of fighters where launched, streams of white and blue particles faded in to the darkness of space as Dragon Furies formed up over the enemy formations starting to match their maneuver’s.

The ship was rocking, as fire erupted on the bridge. The lights were flickering on and off, as the air grew black with smoke.

Captain Xavier slowly pulled himself off the floor. His body ached, as he looked down at his blackened skin, pussing with red ooze. “Damn it.” He yelled out, as he writhed in pain. “I thought I told you to evade.” He yelled out. As he pulled himself erect, the ship shook again, sending sparks out from the young woman’s control panel.

The woman flew backwards, and landed near the Captain. He looked down at her body, as the side of her face was scorched. “Incompetent idiot.” He yelled out, as he ran over to the navigational control panel.

Quickly he began to control the ship, trying his best to evade the nimble fighters assaulting his ship.

The readings weren’t looking good at all. The fighters continued their assault on the port necele which was highly in the red. Frustrated he looked at the shields, 15%. Another hit and he would soon be another feast for the lord of the Huntarian Empire.

Steam began to fill the bridge, as he picked his hand up and began to cough. “Damn you all to hell, you sons of bitches.” He said as he pushed the impulse engines to maximum. His panel was beeping, as he began to look down. Out of no where a Fedral cruiser showed up.

“What are you waiting for?” he asked as suddenly the x-wings entered hyperspace.

Xavier was puzzled, as he looked down to his com station. “This is the Huntarian Diplomatic vessel Calamity, to the Fedral ship. We are carrying the diplomat to meet with your president. Thank you for your assistance. Please maintain a defensive parameter while we under go repairs.”

He then cut off the coms, and sent a message to engineering. “How long til we get repairs?”

“Sir the warp core is nearly inoperable Warp drive isn’t possible.”

Xavier looked into the screen at the engineer. “I don’t care what you have to do. Get this ship moving again. Unless you wish to explain to Lord Vorman why the mission is a failure. I am sure he won’t be as forgiving of your incompetence as I am.” He shouted into the panel.”

The engineer gulped as his face went white. With a quick salute, “I will have this ship at warp within the hour.”

Xavier folded his hands together, “Excellent. Now stop wasting time and get to work.”

Levitt pressed a small button on the wireless microphone in her ear, she nodded and patched it through to the Gilgamish’s intercom. Trevor sunk back upon his chair again folding his hands over his lap.

Levitt sat back down on her chair shifting over to her station. She started to tap the holographic panel bringing up scans and information as well as local space and FTL scans.

Hall heard the message and responded, a blip echoing through the ambient noise filled bridge.

“Will do, do you need assistance? , who was attacking you if you have any idea ..”

Levitt looked over to Hall and said.

“Sir those fighters might have a mother ship some place, according to records that class is not terribly long range. I suggest we scan for it”

Hall nodded responding as he waved his hand nonchalantly, his voice becoming low almost droning on.

“All right, scan it, keep us on alert form fighters around that ship , and keep a lock on every one at all times. Make sure we get those people to Ixcumane.”

Levitt Nodded, the SF-42 Dragon fury squadrons Delta and Zeta forming up around the battered transport. The cruisers weapons where kept hot, its massive rough hulled form was silhouetted against the thousands of white points in distant space.

Two hours later:

“Sir, we have warp drive.” The engineer said to his captain. Xavier growled into the com, “I thought you said it would be an hour. We are already behind schedule.”

The Engineer gulped, ‘It wasn’t easy sir, I had to duct tape the entire…”

“I don’t want to hear your excuse.” He yelled out. “Get us underway.”

“Sir, I still would like more time for repairs.” The engineer stated.

“Then tell Lord VOrman yourself. Set course for the summit. Maximum warp.” Xavier shouted out.

“Sir, yes sir.”

Xavier then opened a channel to the Fedral ship. “Thank you for your assistance. We wish to be underway, and leave the wilds of this area of space. We have no idea who attacked this ship, but we are sending over sensor logs. Perhaps you can identify the attackers. Please escort us to the summit with your government.”

Then the ship vanished into warp.

Two days later:

The Calamity dropped out of warp over a beautiful gem of a planet. Ships filled the sky lanes, as Xavier looked out to the planet below. Never in his life would he have imagined he would have been over a Terran world, especially without a war fleet to burn these bastards to the ground.

“Navcom.” He said to the new ensign in the chair. “Have we received landing sight?”

“We are receiving it now sir. The President and Cabinet of the Fedrals are awaiting us at tarmac 349.

Xavier grinned. “Good. Please activate the diplomatic droid, and prepare a holo feed to Lady Eclipse herself. She will be most interested in this.”

“Yes sir.”

The ship slowly burned through the atmosphere. Black marks from the recent battle burned in the hull of the ship, as the shields protected the hull from the heat. The ship shook, as it finally descended to the landing platform. They had arrived.

“The Droid is online.” The NAVCOM officer stated. “It is loading Lady Eclipses image and has an active feed.” Xavier smiled. “Good Drop off the diplomat then, and shut down main engines.

“Yes sir.”

Flipping the switch to shut off the magnetic seals of the warp core failed. Without warning the anti matter collided with the metal, sending a sudden and large shockwave of blue energy. The ground was dissolved underneath it, as within seconds it reached out it’s unforgiving blast into the city, tearing matter apart. Without restraint or compulsion, the blue orb continued across the continent, ripping everything apart in it’s path. Calamity had reached the Fedrals.

Emperor Vorman stood in the former chambers of Darth Trilkan, the long time holder, waiting for Lady Eclipse to arrive with information on her mission. Within a few hours, she arrived and bowed to Vorman. "Mission accomplished my Emperor. They were easy marks, are you sure they're of any use to you?"

Vorman turned his head and looked at Eclipse, ::With the Federals thinking that we have suffered casualties as well, they will assume that we will want a peace treaty with them to hunt down whomever did this with vengeance. We will sign that treaty.:: He looked back out at the sunset of Huntaria, ::keep your friends close, Lady Eclipse, but keep your enemies closer.::

Eclipse smiled under her helmet, "I always do."

Death... Death was a fact of life... From things going wrong, to hostile attack, to just plain old natural death. ... The shockwave that ripped through Ixcumanes major city of Osiris utterly devastated it.

Fiery death rained from the explosion , building melted and collapsed flesh bones and human forms seared off in to ash, the blue explosion ripped across the city, setting ablaze the air. In an instant twelve million people disappeared.

The screams of children, women and men, the hellish screams echoed just as the blue wave of energy washed over them white hot flames now made up the air, like hell it self the planet was engulfed in flames the anti matter reaction actually caused a chain reaction across the world, over ten billion lives came to an end, their bodies burning as the air turned in to a hellish storm of flames and death. In orbit , several ships looked on, comn traffic came to an utter stop from the planet, crews, captain citizens all looking onward to the planet .

Death incarnate had infested Ixcumane. The former blue skied world now turned in to a ball of fire, and from there in to a ball of ash The president Several senators and his entire cabinet was there as well. The Reaction was swift... ten billion dead.

Captain Morgan Clark fell to his knees he was the captain of the freighter Maraboo, tears ran down his cheeks from his puffy red eyes, he started to sob quietly in front of this entire crew every one stood in shock, not knowing what had happened across the union as the news hit, there was utter shock.

The paradise of Ixcumane burned to a crisp , it was now as bright as a second sun in the system, the white hot flames arcing and blinding the entirety of ships in orbit.

— New Sol, Earth. Capital 7:25 PM EST----

“WHAT?!”

Speaker of the house Luis Santiago roared out, in-front of the entire assembly of nations, every thing went quite for a moment, nothing moved, it seemed as if an eternity had passed, every one was quiet.

Santiago stood up, his black well pressed suit well pressed against him, his grey well made hair reflected slightly the white light of senate hall. He held his head down and started to softly speak.

“My.... Country men, my friends, my citizens.. I have just been informed, that.. The planet of Ixcuamne ... has been.. Destroyed”

A tear ran down his left cheek slightly as he looked back up gripping the podium.

“ May god have mercy upon our souls, I must... go to the steps now, the chief justice is waiting for me.. As you all know the entire executive branch and quite a few of our senators where there... and ... ”

He didn’t even finish as he rushed off, the senate just looked up in utter shock, their faces curling in horror. He walked out of the two doors of the capital building, h did this alone, a massive Media presence there, the chief justice in his robe looked at him and nodded, quickly they both whispered a few things to each other and actually hugged for a moment.

Santiago Then stiffed up he couldn’t show emotion at this time it was imperative that he didn’t. He placed his right hand on the constitutional book.

The chief justice started to speak and Santiago followed suit.

"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the The Terran Federation , and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Terran Federation" ....

He nodded and the Chief justice shook his hand, he looked to the media and said with a quick yet solemn voice.

“This is a day of prayer and mourning , I have .. Nothing to say right now I will be with you shortly”

He gently bowed, he was at a-loss, he turned tail and started to walk back in to the capital to start working on a long lengthy speech.

The entire Ixumane sector and several coreworlds where locked down, the entirety of the Federal fleet was mobilized, troops from every far corner where called up.

The borders of the federation where closed, fleets and ships mobilized to protect them..

The utterance of holy words echoed through the streets of every single planet, shops where closed, lights where dimmed and nearly dark, FNN was running throughout the planets, and cities, the broadcast of what happed the finally moments before the great burn as it was called was broadcasted to all who could see.

The Hyperion and its fleet jumped in to Earth Orbit forming a defensive line around it supported by the first fleet and second fleet....

A message of solidarity was sent to the Huntaerian empire as their people suffered a massive calamity as well.

A statement was also attached .

“We invite the empire to take... part in a conference..With our new president."
