Sparta
Though the nation was hurting after the fiasco at the system formerly known as Issus, it came to the attention of the Kokkai and the Supreme Commander of the IDF that the Fedral Union and the Red Talons were engaging in a war for some reason or other. Being that they were members of the Traders Economic Coalition and that it was bad for business if members were to fight each other, the Kokkai has decided to give the Supreme Commander leave to do what must be done to end the fighting.
So it decided to stage an Intervention without the knowledge of the warring parties, at least until a major task force was created and sent to the area of conflict. Various members of the alliance were contacted as follows:

To:The Planetary Republic of The Battlehawk, The Empire of Void Templar, The Unified Galactic Republic of Telvira, The Federation of Aceria, The Associated UEA Colonies of Kostemetsia, The Imperial Federated Systems of Romandeos, Unified Dominion of Feazanthia, The Space Empire of East Coast Federation, The Protectorate Star Empire of Kormanthor, The Dersconi Amaranthine Imperium, The Rotan, The Eternal Will of The Swarm, The Military Federation of The Wolf Hold, The Holy Imperium of Angenteria
From: The Semi-Nomadic Empire of Coredia
It has come to our attention that there is a major issue for the TEC to tackle. Perhaps the first of its kind for the alliance. We have recently learned that the United Terran Federation and the Red Talons has gone to war with each other and already, the United Terran Federation has destroyed a diplomatic and trade station run by the Red Talons, further degenerating the situation.
To prevent further degeneration into war, we as the Secretary General of the TEC asks all members of the alliance to assist in an Intervention between the two warring parties and end the fighting. War is detrimental to business, especially war between allies and as an economic alliance, we must ensure that our businesses stay open and our customers do not get caught in the crossfire!
We have already dispatched a task force to a rendezvous point. Please send whatever task force you wish to send Coordinates 287A-387J in the Haldin Sector so that we may all be able to stage a show of force and stop this madness before it spreads!
Make no mistake, we do not do this lightly, but we must show the galaxy that the TEC takes its business seriously and we must not allow the petty differences of our members to ruin the businesses of our good, honest customers who cry out for someone to stop this destructive conflict!
If we cannot stop the fighting, who will?! We beseech you, good members of the TEC to assist us in this Intervention!
**END ENCRYPTED TRANSMISSION**
Meanwhile, a Battlestar Task Force made up of the Battlestar Tenetia, the Defender Star Destroyer Halycon and the Defender Star Destroyer Jabiim began to form up in the sector, awaiting responses from the various TEC members. A total of twenty ships were all Coredia could spare for the intervention...
OOC-I have changed my FT nation name since I last posted, but rest assured it's still me, Telvira
IC-The Buddislamic Empire cannot stand to watch it's allies and trading partners destroy each other for no reason. We will commit a small warfleet to this task force. We would commit more, but our nation is currently embroiled in a civil war.

"You know, it is always us isn't it?" Admiral Murchadh shook his head, reading the order from NavCom to dispatch the VTN Typhon and its escorts, now re designated Task Force Titan, to rendezvous with a bunch of uppity do-gooders. As far as he, and most of the mess hall, were concerned, the mutants and the federals could kill each other. All it meant was that two potential enemies were removed, a large increase in revenue from the arms trade and another race of half-breeds wiped from the face of the galaxy.
"Ahh, well." He sighed and put the paper down on his desk. The paper immediately disappeared. Holo-tech had done wonders for office tidiness. "Orders is orders." He pressed a button on his desk, a small screen activating, showing the face of his XO.
"Navid, get the fleet ready to jump to these co-ordinates AQAP. We need to get there. I'll explain in more detail once we arrive. Expect other craft but don't raise weapons. Understood?"
"Sir." The feed cut off and Murchadh sat back down at his desk, leafing through paperwork. After a few minutes, he felt the lurch of the jumpdrives activating and saw the lights that were the stars streaming past.
You never get bored of that.
OOC: Task Force Titan consists of:

2x Odin-class Battleships

The message came over standard channels, and was re-routed into the Khala Network, the communal mind-link all Rotan share. From there it ended up at the desk of The Executor, who was busy getting ready to leave on another mission.
The notice was shared with the rest of The Conclave, and a decision was quickly reached.
The next day, High Templar Cherchek set out with a force of his own.
1x Supercarrier, the legendary command ship Gantrithor
5x Carriers
5x Motherships
5x Phoenixs
10x Observers
10x Arbiters
10x Phase Prisims carrying
50x Immortals
50x Stalkers
20x Colossi
30x Dark Templar
30x High Templar
50x Zealots
10x Probes
When it arrived however, only ten Arbiters appeared to be there, but of course, this was due to the powerful cloaking field emanating from The Arbiters, as was evidenced by the disappearing of anything that came within close range of them, and reappearing when they left that range.

Reality rent apart for the briefest of moments. Had an observer but blinked, he would see red-on-black-painted warships now where nothing had been before.
"We do not take this lightly..." Jak'sa Jason Tillek Soban mused over the hastily-translated message FleetCom had received from this 'Semi-Nomadic Empire'. "...but we must show the galaxy that the TEC takes its business seriously..."
Business. It always came down to business.
"Slipstream space translation complete. Jump coordinates in perfect alignment. All systems nominal. Holding autolaunch sequence."
The laborers built the warships for the soldiers. The soldiers fought to protect the bureaucrats. The bureaucrats got rich off the laborers. That was the way of things. And now...now the soldiers were to protect the wealth once more.
"Baar'ett and Mholai'ri battlegroups have arrived. All vessels accounted for and awaiting instructions."
"Fleetwide," Tillek commanded in a deep, throaty voice. "This is Facade of Reality Actual, now assuming mantle of Task Force Command." It was an announcement of tradition. The Jak'sa of a Battleship Battlegroup was always in command of a task force. "Those who challenge, let it be known." This addition was unique to Kiith Soban. They were the warriors. The soldiers. Conflict was in their blood. Where the weaker, more "scientific" kiith would balk, they thrived. Where none others would dare tread, they marched.
Of course, no challenge was issued.
They allowed them such luxuries as tradition when not imminently facing combat. The fleet was not at quarters. This was just a rally point, where the Sobani would proudly cruise amongst the fleets of the Daiamiid's trading partners and serve in the ancient and proud capacity as FleetCom's phallic extension.
He was okay with that.
"Continue to hold autolaunch until we establish our course of action. Contact the nomads' flagship and inform them of our arrival, and begin syncing the tactical network with allied command. They should all be using TEC channels by now."

"How the hell did we get ratted out?" Grand Admiral Pellaeon growled as he read the communique from the Terran Federation. "If we ever find out who did it..."
Actually...there's a thought. Which of the nations did Coredia still trust...
A communique was sent to members of the TEC.
**ENCRYPTED TRANSMISSION**
To: All nations formerly in TEC excepting the UTF
From: Grand Admiral Pellaeon, Acting Chief-of-State of the Coredian Nation.
It seems we have been betrayed from within. Someone has seen fit to alert the United Terran Federation of our attempt to intervene in their conflict with the Red Talons. To ensure tighter security, we will entrust only one nation with a new set of coordinates for a different rendezvous. This nation will give you the coordinates after a set amount of time has passed.
It saddens us that this attempt at peace should be so badly damaged by unworthy parties. But let us not desparate. The TEC is still alive. The Secretary-General is still willing to do business with all interested parties. Don't let a single fool bring you down!
**Encrypted Communication ENDS!**
**Ultra Mega Foxtrot Encryption**
To: Telrosian Intelligence Service
From: Coredian Military High Command
You are the only member we can trust with the coordinates. Here they are:
376I-876A in the Judian Sector
Also, we wish to ask you to seek out the person or persons responsible for betraying the TEC. Use any method necessary. Leave no stone unturned. Once you find out the persons responsible, report back to this command ONLY for further instructions.
**Ultra Mega Foxtrot Encryption**
Naval Intelligence Director Shana Mitchell had never seen a situation like this in the entire time she had been leading the Telrosian intelligence efforts. She had been in secret talks with the Coredian government of sending possible Telrosian resources to aid the intervention. Seeing as the UTF was on their border and it was seemingly descending into madness, they had a stake in this situation. After much negotiation and discussion, she had agreed to send a battlegroup to the coordinates given by the Coredians to rendezvous and go the location of the battle to try and put an end to the fighting. So it was to her great surprise to not only be given a report of the Terran's response to a report that they were gathering and unlawfully disband the TEC, but also that the Coredians spoke up about a betrayer. She was thrice shocked when she was told that they would be entrusted with the new coordinates and with the mission of seeking out the squealer. She took a deep breath and sighed, holding her head in her hands.
One thing after another seemed to be going wrong and she knew no one felt it like the Coredians. They must be feeling so betrayed, after all the betrayals at Issus and long before. She raised her head and turned to an agent near her. "Prepare a message with the coordinates. Have them sent out at five minute intervals and have the message encrypted and sent out through several relay stations, ending with one in another nation's space, I care not which. Monitor everything."
He nodded. "Yes, Madam Director." He walked off and saw that it would get done. It would be at five minute intervals and be directed through several sources, all encrypted, until it ended up using a small relay in a small nation no one cared about. The nations would receive the following message:
To: All TEC nations except UTF
From: Office of Naval Intelligence
Subject: New Coordinates
You heard the man, new location. The coordinates are attached to the message and will be sent out at five minute intervals to confuse possible Fedral tracking and such. We will discuss where to go from there. ONI out.
The message started from Feazanthia and went down the line to Angenteria, with the operatives monitoring to ensure that the Fedrals didn't suddenly catch on and decide to send personnel. As such, waiting at those coordinates, was a full Telrosian fleet, twenty ships. They would protect the meeting and hold off any threats while they escaped. In command was Captain Amanda Larr.
Now, it was time to wait....and pray.

Official Press Statement
The Dersconi Amaranthine Imperium is curious as to Fedral movements and proclaimations. Due to Dersconi supervision of the TEC Security Directorate, the Amaranthine Imperium is always working closely with the TEC in order to maintain alliance stability. The Secretary-General acted on advice and council of the TEC Security Directorate. A war between Red Talons and the United Terran Fedration acted completely against TEC interests, and intervention was necessary. While not released, the TEC Security Directorate also put out a notice banning all Fedral and Talons shipping in TEC lanes, as well as the banning of Fedral and Talons cargo in TEC ships as to maintain TEC security and TEC neutrality.
It is also important to note that, with the recent Fedral assaults on shipping and the ruthless slaughter of a civilian multinational trade hub known as HAVEN, Fedral ships are to be noted as pirates until further notice, with TEC officials issuing letters of marque and reprisal to all those who can claim losses from the destruction of Haven station. No civilized, disciplined force would attack a commerce station as the Fedrals did - only pirates.
Finally, we would like to point out that the President of the Fedral Union has no authority whatsoever to disband the TEC as an entity. We repeat, the President of the Fedral Union has no authority whatsoever to disband the TEC as an entity. The Fedral Union is free to withdraw at any time, but the dissolution will not be recognized as legitimate.

Near the old set of coordinates where people where leaving, pink and blue bubbles spontaneously appeared out of nowhere. No one would have ever seen these bubbles before, and when scanned, scanned as a living being, both incredibly ancient, and incredibly young, defying all logic and reason in the process as to how it could be both at once. Perhaps it was outside time.
It noticed jumps to the new system, and glowed slightly. A message would suddenly appear with the proper authorities. It was three words only, but it said more than enough.
The Swarm arrives.
Then, in the new system, the bubbles appeared again, and multiplied, and swelled, until they became a gaseous cloud. Energy crackled in the cloud, and it seemed as though an ancient and unused gate had been opened again for the first time in eons. Within the cloud, time and space were meaningless, and those who scanned it found only reflections of their darkest nightmares. It seemed to anyone looking at it directly, not scanning it, that there was a massive monstrous face in the cloud. Its jaws were opened wide and it was reaching out to bite them.
Then it collapsed upon itself, becoming just a few pink and bubbles again, then disappeared, leaving no trace of its presence, and Hive Fleet Leviathan.
The Hive Fleet moved closer to the other ships.
"Sorry we're late, but an actual invitation to go eat someone who really deserves it isn't something we get everyday. It actually shocked The Overmind into silence if you can believe it. I understand some parties doubt the authenticity of this task force. Well, I don't care. I've got to eat someone, might as well be two warring allies that are, possibly were, my allies as well as anyone else. It doesn't matter to me in the slightest as long as I eat. Rules are only for the petty small minded individuals who care for them. So with that in mind, who, and when, do we eat?" Came a female voice. There was only one female in The Swarm, Irene Kerrigan, self-styled Queen of The Swarm. Her voice was unmistakable, and it was her voice that had just spoken.
Of course, Leviathan's size was the largest yet of all incoming fleets. Five hundred Hive Ships, all of them armored in Biosteel. Swarmlings crawled upon their surfaces, looking about for a target to attack.
Truly it brought to mind the notion that allying with the swarm was like making a deal with the devil, you know no matter what you lose out, its just a question of when and how.

A letter was written to the Emperor by acting Foreign Minister Yuzuru Suoh.
The TEC was formed as an economic alliance, as you well know, to strengthen the ties of trade in the galaxy. As the Secretary-General, Coredia was responsible for overseeing that trade and ensuring that all went well. However, as things go, not all was well.
The Dragona Empire knows what went wrong. The UTF and the Red Talons, two of our most respected members, went to war for some reason or other. The UTF is the founder of the TEC (along with the Semi-Nomadic Empire and Telros) and Red Talons is a valued member.
Trade was disrupted. Businesses had to cease functioning. And thousands have died, perhaps millions already. To ask the TEC to step aside and allow this war to come to its bitter end was to violate the very spirit on which it was founded: to help its members have free trade for all.
And while respected members like TRIAD seeks the ways of diplomacy, people are dying. Dying, Your Majesty. Coredia could not stand by and watch millions die and the TEC crumble apart because of a petty war. In consulation with the various members, the TEC were in agreement that something had to be done.
So we sought an Intervention. The national equivalent of concerned friends pulling two people that were fighting apart and sitting them down at the peace table as quickly as possible. That's all we sought to do. Nothing more.
We did not seek to invade anyone or violate anyone's sovereignity. We did not seek to stage a coup. We did not seek anything other than a quick end to the fighting between two respected members of the TEC using the only means we had available:
The intervention of a majority of its members in stopping or mitigating the damage and destruction that a war can cause between two of our members.
It was legal because the TEC as a whole agreed it was the right thing to do and the quickest way we could do it. If we didn't agree, it would not be legal.
You must understand, Your Majesty, that the very fate of the TEC is at stake when two respected members fight each other. If we cannot resolve these issues, the wars would spread and destroy everything we have created. We, the Secretary-General had only the very best interests of the alliance in mind when we called for an Intervention, nothing more.
We thank you for your attention, Your Majesty and hope that this letter helped to resolve any questions you had.
Sincerely,
Yuruzu Suoh, acting Foreign Minister

Greeting to all TEC Members, and both warring parties, I am Captain Stephanie Chaffin, my ship, the Moon Dragon is the first of many ships assigned to this operation. Several are already on the way here as we speak, while the rest are being held in reserve. Because it is my hope that we can find a peaceful solution to this problem I offer a diplomatic team to speak to the warring parties. If however this is not possible then we will be forced to use deadly force to enforce a cease fire.
From: The United Terran Alliance
To: All parties involved.
Your nations are so dead set so selfish in your ambitions to protect your petty little profits that you overlook that 10 billion Federation people have died, one of our most prized core worlds was just destroyed I am personally disgusted by your threats and by your actions, the UTF has been renamed in to the Terran Alliance whilst that planet was a small part of our population it was nonetheless a major loss. Our nation is almost in chaos holding on by the specter of marshal law we do not know if the current one we are fighting did this or one of you or any one else did. So personally I am conveying this warning to Kormanthor.
If you are so arrogant that you attempt to enforce your impotent will upon this nation, you will find your systems your nation and your government in ashes. Enter our space with hostile intent and we will consider it an act of war.
As for the rest of the TEC we require your help to keep the peace on border worlds and in order to secure our area against people who might wish to take advantage in this momentary laps of stability. The Sectors of Ixcumane have been the most effected .
The Ixcumane system was the sectors capital Several systems in that sector have been hanging on by marshal law.
The loss of the sectors capital has prompted Federal take over of it. All of our military has been mobilized to lock down the country, all trade has stopped all ships at our border will be searched by manned personnel. All trade has been redirected to convoy routes and stations to be searched from top to bottom. Ten billion souls, are they nothing to your greedy hands? I am of course frustrated but now more than ever the TA and the TEC needs to stand together.
Thank you, and goodnight
President Luis Santiago

The captain sighed.
"Useage of such force will result in a war betwixt all parties here targeted at you. No matter how you look at it, enforcing a cease fire just isn't worth it." He smiled a little smile here, the kind a cornered rat gives a person with a lion behind them. "On another note, the Imperium's general stance is not to negociate with terrorists. And that is exactly what this is. While I cannot speak for my more... heavily armed friends here, we are merely here to stage a protest and yet we are threatened with death. How polite." He turned his chair around, the hail cutting off behind his back as he nodded to an ensign.
"Comms, send a running log of all local transmissions back to NAVCOM. They might sent us some backup."

Obviously you are more interested in spouting propaganda then finding a workable solution to this war you find yourselves in. Otherwise you would have excepted our offer of providing diplomats to help you to find a peaceful
solution to this carnage that you are now experiencing.
Further your accusations that we are here because we are selfish is completely untrue, we have no need of your assets. We the people of Kormanthor have never been and never will be the kind of people you descibe. We are here simply as a peace maker of the TEC, if this was not true then we would not have arrived here with just one capitalship.
So once again we offer a diplomatic solution to this war. The question now is will our olive branch be recieved ... or not?
Signed
Captain Stephanie Chaffin, Commanding UKS Moon Dragon
“Track the signal!”
Yelled out a space force commander inside of the massive command and control chamber panels and holo consoles plastered with, maps and scans of the entire galaxy and local area. They flicked more and more the commander just stood there peering at one as tracking to the location of the ship was taking place.
“Got it!”
Yelled out a man sitting on the far right corner in-front of a large console. The commander walked over and smiled. Responding.
“Let several ships know we have them on sensors. Keep tracking them I want to see where they are or are going. Also send a message in response”
“Aye sir”
Quickly responded the man leaning back on his chair his mind connected to the computer via neural link.
Response From Terran Alliance Space force command
To: Captain Stephanie Chaffin
Your capital ship boasts enough fire power to threaten all civilized planet life in the galaxy. Your Request for intervention has been denied by our government, any attempt at enforcing your threat will be met with war.
Any attempt at placing your “capital ship” close to Alliance territory will result in a force of ships reducing it to metal slag. You have been warned. Your presence is not required, and we must insist on you leaving the situation alone...

"What the heck is she doing?" Commodore Adroc Jurgens said as for some strange reasong, the Moon Dragon activated her shields and weapons.
"No idea. We're supposed to be rendezvousing at this point." His XO mentioned. "Scuttlebutt also mentioned that that there's a good chance that the war may wind down soon."
"Hmph. Order her to stand down."
"Yes sir."
Captain Stephanie Chaffin, you are requested to stand down immediately. We're not to fight the Terrans. Diplomatic efforts are currently underway to end the war peacefully. I remind you that we are only to intervene if we are called forth.

“Activate Jump!”
Barked out an older man shifting in his uniform, the bridge was dark and lit red with klaxons blaring, officers sat at their stations, a female officer with red long hair stood by a monitor. The monitor contained information on the ship they had tracked and the sector of space they where in.
The Hyperion was assigned to blockaded any attempt at firing from the foreign ship. Under the command of captain Edward Monro, his first officer was tammy Beckett. The Hyperion was escorted by two heavy cruisers and three light cruisers, followed by several air defense cruisers, and ten thunderbolt class destroyers.
Their forms started to crackle and shimmer with blue lighting like energy they twisted and elongated for a split second. The ships then appeared at the coordinates of where that behemoth was.
The Hyperion it self was only 6.5 km , while dwarfed by the sheer size of the ship it was facing, its power output was just as massive if not more so, its gravity imprint could be seen for light years as it was powered by three black holes. The rest of the ships jumped in around the large ship several million KM away each.
Monro stiffed up on his chair his hair well kept his hands folded on his lap, he spoke out with a commanding tone in his voice.
“Open a channel to the moon dragon..”
Beckett nodded , a blip was heard as a channel was opened via neural command.
Monro started to speak
”This is the Terran Alliance ship Hyperion, your ship is now violating a security exclusion zone, your galaxy guns are a direct threat to Alliance national integrity and planetary security, you will withdraw your ship immediately and replace it with one with out such armaments, if you attempt to fire on us or on any of our worlds, we will respond with deadly force. We are now engaging our faster than light inhibitor systems. ”
He placed his hand down on the armrest of his chair and pressed a button and then another one. He spoke out again starting to bark orders.
“All fighters launch, Hyperion to Gilgamish, lead up the light cruiser group and close on target.”
Beckett Stood up from her station at the side of the bridge, various screens and holographic projections of ships ion the area, enemy vessels, and neutrals flickered on to them, anti cloaking sensors started to rage forth intense scanning feeding enemy positions to several system maps and local space map displays.
Beckett started to speak to the captain she taped on her communications device implanted in to her head.
Thunderbolt destroyers maneuvered like fighter craft, their high capacity grav engines letting them fluidly move like a much smaller craft than they where, Thunderbolts where only 170 meters. Their forms where sleek, and smooth , as well as slender. Their forms where silhouetted against the larger ships of the Alliance fleet and the thousands upon thousands of stars in the night. Chirring and whizzing could be heard, as turrets shifted, pop up turrets came online missile tubes where exposed as plates of armor shifted from them.
Energetic hums and crackling noises reverberated through each of the capital ships and light cruisers , as weapons powered up, faster than light inhibitor systems came online. Interceptor grids targeted the cloaked ships. Auto cannons where loaded.
“Captain Monro, Faster than light inhibitors are on-line, weapons are on-line missile tubes are exposed. Interceptor grids activated fighters have been launched.”
Monro nodded he sat back on his chair and sighed.
“Good now its there move...”
He sat back waiting and peering out of the holo-console towards the ships.

The Swarm, sensing the rising levels of animosity and the possibility of an impending fight exited their Hive Ships and crawled along their surfaces in anticipation. The flying varieties buzzed about restlessly.
