The Cylons. We created them to make live easier for us. But in the end, they proved unhelpful and at times annoying. Two types. Human models, 12 of them. And robotic models, under the control of the human models. Created to help us, but they turned violent. In the end, we gave them their freedom on the world of Serenity, a uninhabited world suitable for human habitation. Maybe they will live out their lives in peace....

"Whatever, mother frakkers,"said Lucus, one of the original 12 models of Cylons."What those Colonial frakkers didn't expert was us to be able to procreate."
'Sure got that right,"said a woman standing beside him.
"OK. Tell the fleet to jump,"said Lucus.
"OK....JUMP!!" shouted the woman.

Tarnia System....

One moment nothing, the next a fleet of Basestars numbering 50 were in orbit above Ventra. The Battlestars above the planet sat in stunned silence as the Basestars readjusted where they were. Then they opened fire on the Battlestars. The 5 Battlestars never stood a chance. They took the fire for a few seconds, then simply cracked and exploded outwards as their superstructures and armour failed. By now, the rest of the Tarnia Fleet were aware of the attack, and the 70 Battlestars that were ready for combat moved to face down the attacks.
The Battle of Tarnia had begun....

OOC: Feel free to pick up some form of signature and come to find a massive battle. ;)

BSC Brigadier Alastair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart (BAGLS)

THE BSC BAGLS, was returning from a rather prolonged, and uneventful search and rescue. They had never found the BSC Vislor Turlough, and it had been written off, as destroyed. So, the BSC BAGLS, was moving along, through a largely unexplored sector of the galaxy, when they detected something. From the looks of it, a rather large, and chaotic something.

"What do you think it is Colonel?" asked Major Adric, looking over the readings.

"I'm not sure Major," Lt Colonel Jack Foreman replied, reading over the data himself. "But I don't like the looks of it. Captain, alter our course, take us towards the source."

Gradually thrusters fired, bringing the BAGLS on a heading that would take it right into the middle of the fighting.

The two fleets met in orbit around Ventra. The two fleets began to absolutely pound each other with fire. They matched each other almost equally in terms of firepower. Then the fleets began to launch fights, the Colonial's Falconites, the Cylons Raiders and Heavy Raiders. The fighters converged and began what was the largest dogfight that any Colonial and Cylon had every seen. The sheer numbers of them were huge, though the Raiders outnumbered the Falconites.

"Sir, we are approaching the source," replied Captain Lintel.

Lt. Colonel Foreman, pressed the button, to raise the blast doors on the flightdecks windows, as he did, light filled the room. Not from some star, or planet, but from a massive space battle, that the ship was practically within. Within seconds, they would be in the mass of fighters and fire. Lt. Colonel Foreman utter, "My Lord," before shouting, "Full reverse. Bring the point defense guns online, raise the shields. Set condition blue through out the ship." The lights on the flightdeck flickered off, leaving a second of blackness, before new lights bathed the flightdeck in an eerie blue glow. "No one fires, without my order." Of course this would not apply to the point defense weapons which would fire on anything smaller than a fighter that was on an collision course with the ship.

And there was a lot of things flying towards the ship. Stray shells, flying chunks of metal and the occasional missile. The Battlestars, moving to surround the Basestars, were proving to be the more powerful ships now that the battle had worn on for a while. The ships ignored the presence of a unknown ship in the midst of their battle.

Aboard the BAGLS, a decision was being made. It was clear a major battle was ongoing. It was also, clear, the BAGLS, was taking damage from it. Lt. Colonel Scott, had already decided, that he would have to take action against one of the fleets, once they figured out which was which. The damage to the BAGLS had to be justified.

"Sir," reported Major Adric, "scanners only show true lifesigns on some of the ships. Some of the others, have what appear to be synthetic lifesigns."

That solved it for Lt. Colonel Scott. They would help the actual people, and not, what the computer was identifying as robots. "Order railgun batteries A-F to ready for firing on the non-lifesign ships, on my single." The 24 of the large 22 inch railguns, trained themselves on the basestars, once they singled they were ready, they were illuminated in green, on the Lt. Colonel's readout. Once the final battery was lit, Lt. Colonel Scott, said, into his headset, "Fire." Before he even finished the word, the 22 inch railguns sprang to life, firing shell after shell towards the basestars.

About five seconds after the BAGLS had fired, about 5 Basestars retargeted their M.A.H.C batteries on it and began to pound the ship with hydrogen shells. Meanwhile, the Battlestars clicked onto the fact that they had a ally and 2 Battlestars moved to flank the BAGLS, using their 2km lengths as shields to protect the smaller(OOC:?) ship. As more Battlestars and their accompanying Auron and Derlis class frigates arrived in the system, the battle began to move in the favour of the Colonials. The Cylons, realising this, began to recall their Raiders and spin up their FTL drives.

[OOC: Well, smaller than two of the battlestars, yes.]

The BAGLS, took quite a pounding before the Battlestars moved in to defend them. The shields had been weakened significantly, and some rounds had penetrated the shields, doing damage to the hull. The main issue was, that they wouldn't be going any long distances for a while, with no FTL capability, for the moment. However, they seemed to have made some friends.

The Basestars were gone almost as quickly as they arrived. The Basestars disappeared in flashes of light, leaving the Colonials to lick their wounds and decide what to do with their new friends.
