Invasion of Chausey Islands

Tensions stir in Tyrrhenia,as the ongoing conflict escalates and currently involves most of the mentioned region.
Chausey island chain is the colony of The Sovereign Imperial Dominion of Aschenhyrst and few hours ago came under a direct attack from The Most Divine Empire of Waldenburg.
Waldenburgers think that Chausey islands are vital to the anti-Gholgothic defense of the region and Aschenhyrst's neutrality is a severe blow to their battle plans.
It is speculated that the weak force that currently protects the island can withstand the assault for two weeks at most,but that proves to be more then enough time for reinforcements to arrive from Aschenhyrst proper.
However,even as we speak,a taskforce is currently sailing from Aschenhyrst proper to relieve the battered garrison of Chaysey islands.
There were some severe gunfights between the defenders and the invasion force,and the current death toll is around 100 lives,all of them soldiers from both sides.
Fights are still raging on Chausey islands,and because of that nearby Directorate's colony of Hupfenstadt has raised it's security levels.
There are no hostile actions by any of the mentioned forces against the Directorate,but it's response is heightened alert status in Hupfenstad and enlistment of local recruits into the Internal Guard.

Directorate in the ISTO pact

Few hours ago,leading official of the Directorate,Pro Consul and General of the Directorate's army,Gordon Drake signed the ISTO pact with some of the former CIS allied states,including The Federation of Oseato and The Military Federation of The Wolf Hold.
However many things are unknown,as the government issued a short press statement,in which they unveiled the response sent to the pact's founder,The Federation of Oseato.
This is the uncensored message sent by the Pro Consul himself.

As we already agreed at our meeting in Oseato city,the Directorate is pleased to announce it's membership in the Independent States Treaty Organization.We are glad that our friends in Oseato and Wolf Hold have come up with this great idea to further our cause,establish prosperity and well being of all parties that signed this treaty.We hope for a bright future for all parties who have signed this treaty.The former CIS proved to have many administrative and solidarity weaknesses,and we know that this pact won't have any,because many precautions were taken to protect the pact from those weaknesses.
Also we want to inform all of our friends that they can expect aid from the directorate at any given time,according to the charter of the treaty.
Legions of the Directorate stand ready to help you at any time,and don't hesitate to call for their aid.
We live in dangerous times,dear friends and the Directorate has only one piece of advice for you,it's very obvious and simple:

Directorate forces deployed in Meqcistan

Yesterday,in the early morning,Directorate's 7th Storm Fleet departed for the terrorist occupied country of Meqcistan,which is currently besieged by numerous parties,including Garmidia,in which Meqcistani terrorists killed over 310 people in Dustin city mall attack on the 10th May.
Government does not want to tell the public why the Directorate is involved,but there are speculations that the Directorate is aiming for the rich oil and gas reserves of Meqcistan.
At least 50 surface ships have set sail to Meqcistan,and it has become obvious that the Directorate's goal is to expand it's sphere of influence close to Garmidia and the currently war-thorn Meqcistan.
However,the public is not satisfied with the decision to send a force of such magnitude to the aid of Garmidia and it's allies,also as a communist country is also in the Coalition against Meqcistani terrorists there was a widespread of disbelief and the sense of betrayal among the citizens.
Even a minor riot occurred in Port Arthur but that was dispersed fast by the Internal Guard's men.
Fifty rioters were caught,with one Guardsmen suffering minor injury while crossing an improvised barricade created by the demonstrators.
With the last reports coming from Meqcistan,there are no Cukarican troops currently fighting,but the Naval Infantry seems to be ready for move,their obvious target the city of Musala.

Directorate's Armed Forces conduct exercises on Land and Sea

Port Helzer has transformed from a normally tranquil offshore shipping hub into a bustling nexus of activity as military transports from all across Cukarica amass and reorganize for further deployment to Port Arthur,located in the Randian Strait.Three Legions will be participating as well as two fleets and three Internal Guard divisions.Totaling around 500 000 men currently on the exerices at Port Arthur.
With the vast array of weaponry and hardware being loaded on the amphibious assault craft, one might think that a military offensive is being prepared.
However that is not the case,as a normal yearly large scale military exercise is scheduled to begin in two days.
The Directorate refused to comment on the specifics of the operation, but disclosed that the forthcoming operations would be a "step forward" for resolving some major security issues within Cukarica.
Although the Director General Rimmel assured the public that these actions are only for the safety of the Directorate itself,citizens can’t help and are feeling a little nervous about the entire situation.
"This is only for the better and safer Cukarica,and there is no need for any worries about the exercise."
said General Rimmel earlier today,but we were unable to contact the Pro Consul's office as he was attending a security meeting.
This exercise raises many questions as it is obvious that the Internal guard is enlisting reservists and the rumors of troops deployed in Meqcistan earlier this week will be pulled back soon.

Increased Military Precautions Highlight Oseaton Concerns Over ISTO, Situation in the Med

Comberth – The Oseaton Federal Navy stepped up active patrols today in response to the ongoing war in Waldenburg and the highly unstable situation across the Med. The newly commissioned ships of the 12th Oseaton Fleet were seen exiting the harbor and heading into the Inner Oseaton Sea to rendezvous with elements of the Home Fleet currently on station in the sea. While neither the Minister of Defense nor the President has given an official statement, sources inside the Ministry of Defense state that the Federation is not looking to become involved in the ongoing conflict in the Med. The same source stated that ISTO, the recently created military security organization, has begun discussion on the subject and that the situation is being “closely monitored.”

In polls across the Federation, there is an overwhelming feeling that the Federation and the Federal Armed Forces should not become involved with the current hostilities in the region and should only concern itself with the safety and integrity of Federation Territory, not that of any neighboring countries. This type of isolationist sentiment has not been common in recent years, as the pro-globalization of Oseaton businesses and an expansion in overseas activity were some of the reasons the Federal Army staged its coup last year.

Due to this showing of public support, several Senators have raised objections over the signing of the Independent States Treaty and are demanding that President and Field Marshall Hamilton withdraw from the treaty, though they’ve been met with silence as the President continues to ignore their views. The source in the Ministry of Defense states that President Hamilton and all high ranking members of the Federal Government and Armed Forces back the Independent States Treaty and will continue to abide by the treaty articles and will not forsake Oseaton allies simply because a few senators are making a “ruckus.”

"Apocalypse" begins

Fenris islands,Military Federation of the Wolf Hold are currently swarming with activity,as a mock-up small scale war is happening there involving numerous men form all branches of Directorate's armed forces,also it's a home to some of the largest bases of Wolf Holdian military,and are now being used for the largest military done in the area in the last 30 years.Around 200 000 men from Wolf Hold,Oseato,Cukarica and Sutufinai are currently involved in ISTO wargames.
Codenamed Operation "Ragnarök" this operation started few days ago with several fleets anchoring at the island of Var,and taking battle positions.
However no hostile action was taken,and soon a government press release stated that it's just a start of a joint military exercise between several ISTO nations.
Last information we received told us that the 63rd,72nd and 192nd Skyguard Marine brigades were airdropped behind "enemy" lines.
This exercise brought lot of attention,with several large,international media corporations are reporting via live streams,from the battle zone.
This operation is regarded as a high readiness morale boost for the troops and a large experience gain,also because of the fighting that is currently happening in Tyrrhenia.
