Cukarica is mainly a maritime nation and its main cities are located on numerous coasts that surround it.
It is crossroads of the world,located in Northern Hemisphere in the center of [Earth](ooc:NS variables}.
It has been a primary trade route over centuries that helped the country to quickly evolve and develop itself.
The Cukarican climate varies between a continental climate in the north, with cold winters, and hot, humid summers with well distributed rainfall patterns, and a more sea climate in the south with hot, dry summers and autumns and relatively cold winters with heavy inland snowfall.
Differences in elevation, proximity to the sea's and oceans and large river basins, as well as exposure to the winds account for climate differences.


Northern Africa Geography


The Atlas Mountains, which extend across much of Morocco, northern Algeria and Tunisia, are part of the fold mountain system which also runs through much of Southern Europe. They recede to the south and east, becoming a steppe landscape before meeting the Sahara desert which covers more than 90% of the region. The sediments of the Sahara overlie an ancient plateau of crystalline rock, some of which is more than four billion years old.

Sheltered valleys in the Atlas Mountains, the Nile valley and delta, and the Mediterranean coast are the main sources of good farming land. A wide variety of valuable crops including cereals, rice and cotton, and woods such as cedar and cork, are grown. Typical mediterranean crops such as olives, figs, dates and citrus fruits also thrive in these areas. The Nile valley is particularly fertile, and most of Egypt's population lives close to the river. Elsewhere, irrigation is essential to improve crop yields on the desert margins.



Caribbean Protectorate Geography

The geography and climate in the Caribbean region varies from one place to another. Some islands in the region have relatively flat terrain of non-volcanic origin. Such islands include Aruba (possessing only minor volcanic features), Barbados, Bonaire, the Cayman Islands or Antigua. Others possess rugged towering mountain-ranges like the islands of Cuba, Dominica, Hispaniola, Jamaica, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, Saba, Saint Kitts, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Saint Vincent, Guadeloupe, and Trinidad & Tobago.

The climate of the region is tropical but rainfall varies with elevation, size and water currents (cool upwellings keep the ABC islands arid). Warm, moist tradewinds blow consistently from the east creating rainforest/semidesert divisions on mountainous islands. Occasional northwesterlies affect the northern islands in the winter. Winters are warm, but drier.

The waters of the Caribbean Sea host large, migratory schools of fish, turtles, and coral reef formations. The Puerto Rico trench, located on the fringe of the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea just to the north of the island of Puerto Rico, is the deepest point in all of the Atlantic Ocean.

Hurricanes, which at times batter the region, usually strike northwards of Grenada, and to the west of Barbados. The principal hurricane belt arcs to northwest of the island of Barbados in the Eastern Caribbean.

The region sits in the line of several major shipping routes with the man-made Panama Canal connecting the western Caribbean Sea with the Pacific Ocean.

The Directorate's territory in Tyrrhenia is separated in two zones,the island of old Huphenstadt in the Northwest and several other maritime possessions in the Kymeia sea,and the Eastern Expansionard sea.

Economy

Cukarica is mainly industrial and very developed country,and it's economy is export-oriented.Powerhouse of it's economy is Arms Manufacturing,Automobile Manufacturing and Uranium Mining Industries.
National currency is the Directory Dinar which is a strong opposite of the US dollar.
Current course of exchange is 1.1237 dinars = $1 which varies due to numerous political and economic variables.
Average income tax rate is 87% which is considered high but its much higher for the wealthy people who are looked at with suspicion and considered corrupted.
Agriculture is most likely the second largest economical factor within the Directorate, after her industry and exports. The most abundant agricultural product is the raspberry and grapes, most of which is directed towards the production of wine.
Cukarica grows about one-third of the world's raspberries and is the leading frozen fruit exporter.

Military

The Cukarican military is divided into six main operational categories:
1.Directorate's Land forces

Directorate's Land Forces are primarily responsible for:

* deterring armed threats
* defense of the territory
* creating conditions for mobilization and development of the Army and other bodies, and organization of defense system,
* participation in peace-keeping operations and international military cooperation and
* providing support to civil authorities in countering non-military challenges, risks and security threats.


Directorate's Land Forces

The Directorate's Land Forces(in the following text DLF) is the armed forces of Cukarica, It composes of several branches and more than 15 million soldiers and personnel.
Main branches are the Defensive Shock Divisions, the Army,River Monitor Navy, Air force, and the Internal Guard (Police, and Riot Control). Several other minor branches are also present in the military.
These branches are usually aimed toward a few specific operational goals
.The minor branches are:Republican Guard, Special Forces Unit, and the Hellfire Corps.
Other minor branches are inside the main branches.

Senate's Shock Corps

It is purely a defensive branch and never goes beyond the borders of Cukarica.Formed soon after the Imperial wars it's only commander is the Senate itself.
It was at first a minor branch of the Army, but it grew rapidly, and today it has a total force of 2.750 Million soldiers and personnel.
Only 450,000 soldiers and personnel are active during peace time.
Its troops are all stationed in one of the fifty defensive stations around the country.
Most of these stations are small in size in comparison with other bases. Also it is the only other branch, besides the Hellfire Corps, that has control of land based missiles. The Defensive Shock Corps has numerous SAM Sites and silos around Cukarica. The Defensive Corps' Commander is the Senate itself,and it doesn't respond to the Directorate.

Directorate's Naval forces

Founded upon the independence of Cukarica, The Directorate's Navy is the heart of the armed forces of Cukarica. Because Cukarica is an island maritime nation, the navy is constantly updated and growing. The entire enlisted force for the navy is 5.93 Million and growing. The navy has over 950 ships, most are smaller ships like Frigates and Destroyers. The Navy also is in control of the nations' Freighter Fleet.. The flagship is the DNS (Directorate Navy Ship) "Unity", A Longsword class ship, and its Commander is also the head Commander of the Navy: Admiral Flavius. The flagship rarely leaves port, even is a time of crisis,and is stationed in the Naval base Tikidion.
The navy has a total of ten (secretly 20) government owned ports around the Directorate.

The Internal Guard

The Internal Guard is the second most important force in the eyes of many. Formed a year after the Imperium wars, it is the second newest branch. The Internal Guard is the police, guards, riot control, and even a defensive force of Cukarica. It is the smallest branch in terms of number of personnel, but the largest in terms of number of bases.985 of them are scattered across the cities and towns and some in the mountains of Cukarica. It was, for a long time, the largest branch until the Defensive Corps was formed in 2015. Then the Internal Guard was no longer the primary defensive force. Today It has 600,000 total enlisted, but only 100,000-75,000 personnel are active during peace time.

Directorate's Skyguard Airforce

The Air Force is one of the major branches in Cukarican military. The Air Force has only around 7000 planes. The Air Forces also receives the smallest cut of the defensive budget, 22%. Even though it is considered the best branch to join, it has only 721,000 total enlisted pilots and staff, but only 329,000 are active at a given time. It is somewhat under advanced compared to the rest of the armed forces. all planes and personnel are station at one of fifteen air bases.


DMC-Naval Infantry[former Imperial Marines]


The Directorate's Marines is a branch of the Security Forces of Cukarica tasked with naval force projection, consisting of amphibious infantry, airborne units, and several other ground units.
Unlike the United States Marine Corps but similar to the Coastal Troops of the Russian Navy, the The DMC is the Naval Service's land force. Unlike the United States Marine Corps but similar to the Coastal Troops of the Russian Navy, the DMc is not a separate branch of the Navy. As part of the Naval Service, usually the Infantry fall under the command of the Royal Navy.
The amphibious arm of the Navy they are veterans of many conflicts,sometime ill disciplined,but fearsome fighters.
It was formed in November 1903 out of the former Navy Sentry Corps.


Republican Guard

Divided into two branches the guard has two different roles.
The Republican Guard (French: Garde républicaine) is mostly ceremonial unit of the Cukarican Army. It consists of two infantry regiments (one includes a motorcycle squadron) and a horse cavalry regiment. It also has four musical formations, as well as groups demonstrating prowess in horseback or motorcycle maneuvers.

Its missions include:

* Guarding important public buildings in New Huphenstadt such as the Directoruim's Palace, the residence of the High Consul, Hôtel Versaillegnon, the Senate, the National Assembly, the Hall of Justice, and keeping public order in New Huphenstadt.
* Honor and security services for the highest national personalities and important foreign guests;
* Support of other law enforcement forces (with intervention groups, or horseback patrols);
* Staffing horseback patrol stations, particularly for the forests of the Henzburg region;
* Transporting and escorting urgent organ transplants.

The Republican Guard also fulfills an important diplomatic role, representing Cukarica at international events abroad and receiving important dignitaries at home. Controversially, they will frequently accept other honors from regiments of allied countries, but they will usually award their own honors, such as the famed spurs of the Republican Guard, only to royalty or to individuals of high standing.

The Cukarican Republican Guard Armored Division is a 10,000 man bodyguard of the Cukarican Army. They are a single armored division used to protect the capital,New Huphenstad from any domestic threats.
The Guard is the only Cukarican military unit allowed within the capital.

History


Federation of Cukarica had a long,honorable and somewhat dynamic history.
It started as a small country in the Balkans in the time of the Huns and other barbarians,his first leaders were pagans and worshiped forest animals,creatures and naturals phenomenons.
Soon they accepted Christianity and became more civilized and established the First Dukedom of Cukarica,which was a rather small country.It's position was in the middle of the "World's crossroad's" the Balkan Peninsula,and because of that strategic position soon came into conflict with both Muslim countries of Asia Minor and the European Crusader States.The Grand Duke then struck a modern day intriguing deal with the Muslim Khanates of Asia Minor and defeated the Crusader states who were looking to annex the Dukedom at the Battle of Orahovisce 1209.The Dukedom had about 40 000 Men at its disposal,plus about 3000 Muslim light cavalry archers,Crusader army was much larger and consisted from about 60 000 heavily armored men and knights.But still their lack of maneuverability was their doom.The Duke won a great victory for its country annexing Germany and Poland and,thus becoming a very powerful nation indeed.This was the conclusion of the First Crusader Bloody Rose War.Soon after Cukarica had more major issues,their former allies the Muslim Khanat betrayed them and sided with the Persian Empire who was the major world power in an effort to destroy the Dukedom.Dukedom being the most powerful Christian state of the time,and very weakened by the First Crusader Bloody Rose War put on an epic struggle against the invaders.Dukedom mobilized its entire manpower and put it into defense of Constantinople.Their main strategy was not to allow the Muslim a beachhead on the European soil,and in that fact an army of around 170 000 men were defending the city.Muslim powers sent out a smaller army and they were shocked to see that the Christians managed to mobilize so much men so fast.After their Initial defeat 1215. they sent out a huge and massive army to annihilate the defenders,around 1500 war galleys and around 300 000 men were heading toward the besieged city....The city stood out for 2 years until it finally fell to the Muslims.It took the over 30 years to destroy the government and military power of the Duke.After the final fall of Belgrade in 1254 the Dukedom of Cukarica ceased to exist.It took over 300 years to restore it and to drive out the invaders.And they finally succeeded in that at the battle of Salzburg in 1773.
During the long and hard occupation people of Cukarica had sixteen uprisings against the invaders but all of the were ended in a bloodbath with entire regions massacred by the occupants.
But 1769 something was different a young and charismatic man led the rebellion and transformed a huge army of farmers,merchants and peasants into a effective and devastating fighting force which defeated the Muslim Janissary in several huge battles,but everything was still undecided until the battle of Salzburg 1773. when the Sultan sent three armies to annihilate the rebbels who have proclaimed the Republic at this moment.These fortified in Salzburg in the Alps and turned back wave after wave of enemies and as the conclusion of major casualties on both sides Muslims retreated and after that most of the old Dukedom possessions were recaptured and taken back by the rebel army now renamed in Republican guard.Then there was a long period of piece and prosperity until the outbreak of World War 2 when communists took a chunk of the Republic and proclaimed People's Republic of Novermia which was backed by the Soviets,Cukarica was on its own and waged war against the communist for 5 years which left her devastated and war-thorn.In 1958. the recovery of the Republic has started,infrastructure was rebuilt and a economic boom started which lasted until present time.1971. a change of Governmental system was introduced and the Republic of Cukarica adopted new government type and was renamed into The Federation of Cukarica.There was a long period of piece for the newly formed Federation until a more energetic President took power and started to get involved into international relations.Military action was taken against part of Kingdom of Nordfire's military and the North Federal Fleet's troops successfully reinstalled rightful government and captured all officers of the Nordfire military accused for threason.In this minor conflict good relations blossomed with Osean Federation and Ursavians in joined military action against the rebels.But soon after that glorious victory a big rebellion happened in southern Cukarica as the Special Forces unit "Blue Berrets" started assassinated Prime Minister Zhuckovski and openly attacked regular forces.The reason for rebellion soon was unraveled as the Republic of Battlehawk openly supported the rebels and attacked military installations of the Federation,Ursavians again came to aid of our country and helped us as much as they could.After initial successes by the invaders and the rebels,tide of war turned.Battered 7th Naval infantry division was relieved by the entire 3rd European Corps which meant that even the best unit of the Federation that rebelled had no chance against 300 000 men of the 3rd Corps.Their base in Erdut was leveled to the ground by massive Panzerhaubitze bombardment,soon all that was left of the best Special Forces unit was 300 men from its main Force of 4000.Battlehawk task force retreated after they saw that the rebellion was cut off and that entire Federation and her Ursava allies were mobilizing for full scale war and after 16 of its airplanes were shot down,and also that three battlegroups headed toward their position it was obvious that this threat to Federal might was destroyed.Two years passed after that last threat toward the Federation and the huge Grand World Order-Stoklomolvi conflict was started,almost 40 countries were involved at the fighting and the Federation couldn't watch for Fascists or the Communists to get too much power,as it looked that Fascist alliance will overrun a country called Sans Semmes Federal Senate sent 30 000 men of the 7th Naval to Sans Semmes to bolster its defenses,they operated behind false flag of international volunteers and ultimately their mission was successful and the Fascists didn't take the islands.
After some time passed the Federation suffered yet another internal turmoil,as the acting President Srecko Ilic proclaimed himself as God Emperor and started to ethnically cleanse all non-Cukaricans,and Cukarican's who supported the Senate and their fellow citizens.After the destruction of the Senate and the bombing of Zevski,other foreign powers and the CIS tried to reinstate the republic,these included Londim,Oseato,Wolf Hold,Telros,Osea and few other countries.With the mass killings still taking place the former high command of the Federal forces decided to act and stop the madman.
Colonel Gordon Drake took arms with few Brigades of Mountain Rangers and deposed the God-Emperor,soon after all foreign powers withdrew their troops and the Directorate was established.
