The great Socialist Republic of Fluffywuffy, in an attempt to end the economic and political disaster after the fall of the Third Empire and the rise of the Socialist Republic, has announced today that it is nationalizing all farms and agricultural facilities in order to better provide for the people of the nation.

Radical capitalists have complained that a Socialist government can not calculate the needs of a population, but, rest assured, our expert teams of agricultural and nutritional scientists have discovered the perfect blend of foods to help weather this crisis and ensure that all people have a healthy diet. The tired arguments of Mises, Hayek, and other radical bourgeois oppressors of the common worker will be shown to be false.

The Revolutionary Home Guard has been authorized to send its troops to assist in the seizure of any and all property for the glory of the worker; this is only a precautionary measure to ensure that the people of this Republic speedily support this revolution. Haste is a necessity in this project; too long a wait would spell doom for the people.

In the mean time, the Socialist Republic is seeking alternative suppliers of food to help weather this storm as the revolution's wheels keep turning. In exchange for the production of military arms, we would like grains and other foodstuffs for our nation.

Imperial Decree:

You have 48 hours to end your current activities and return the farms to their rightful owners. Or the Scandinvan Empire shall take appropriate actions to curb your actions.

It has come to the attention of the Socialist Republic that the Scandinvan Empire has requested that the farms of the nation be returned to their "rightful" owners. A quick examination of the situation reveals no "rightful" owner to return the farms to, for no man can own property. In our great Republic, only society can own property, and we have taken actions to ensure that this shall become the reality. The revolution has marched forward, and society is now in control of the farms of this nation, and society shall prosper as a result of it. For it is written, from each according to his ability, to each according to his need. Our State is merely collecting and doling out what is right and proper.

The Socialist Republic shall not end its program of collectivization; it shall continue at its current pace until the farms of the nation come under the gentle hand of the State, guiding and nurturing the people of this nation. You fail to respect the inalienable right of God's people to property, which is the fruit of their labors alone and not belonging to any entity besides them with just compensation being given to the party losing their property, and as such we, of the Scandinvan Empire, shall react if you fail to back down.

Two hundred warships and well over a thousand support vessels were now being dispatched to the Socialist Republic of Fluffywuffy. At the same time millions of Imperial Soldiers were being mobilized for war.

The Taledonian Banner

When word of the Fluffywuffy atrocity first reached Taledonia, the government was swift in its embargo against the nation in the interests of ensuring the security of its freedom loving citizens and in the hopes of pressuring the Fluffywuffy state to once again recognize human rights. Now, as the usurpers have decreed that the agricultural industry shall be nationalized, President Harris, in a press conference earlier today, had this to say:

"The Taledonian people fully condemn the actions of the slavers who now control Fluffywuffy. Their blatant disregard for the rights of mankind to produce and be comfortable within their own ability is a travesty.

It has also come to our attention that they have begun to use military force against their people to ensure compliance with their decrees, so in response we are offering refuge to any and all Fluffywuffy citizens who value liberty and ability and seek a land where they are free to succeed upon their own terms."

Following the President's address, the Minister of Foreign Affairs took the stage and gave methods of how to contact Taledonian officials to be evacuated from the country. When the question was taken to the streets of Taledonia for comment, the verdict was the same everywhere. Condemnation for the Fluffywuffy government, pity for those being persecuted for being competent, and shame that human beings could so willingly give up their lives for the benefit of someone else. However not all comments were quite as serious, especially in the case of twenty-three year old Jason Curt:

"Well personally I see the whole situation as a great vacation opportunity! Since no one is allowed to own anything in Fluffywuffy, I could sleep with anyone's wife and they couldn't say anything about it, since their wife is now public property!"

Gadar!: Imperialists threaten war on equality!

The lead story on Indian state media (Gadar! "Revolution!") today was all about how an imperialist coalition fronted by the Empire of the Scandinvans was threatening to declare open war against all liberated people. There was, it seemed, no other way -under Igovian doctrine- to interperate the casus belli offered prior to the mobilisation of fleets now being tracked by the People's Cosmonautical Co-operative. As Gadar! had it, if the liberation of the worker stood as justification for military action, then thirteen billion Beddgelens had better watch out.

According with this, a general order to mobilisation was sounded across the sub-continent for the attention of eight million Commonwealth Guard Militia Auxiliary stations and the more potent Expert Corps.

Portmeirion announced that a shipment of rice in excess of half a million tonnes would be sent to the SRF this month under the auspices of the Socialist Development Aid budget, and the first cargo ships left port in short order. While the League of Indian Communists states that the Commonwealth has no need for foreign arms, it also dispatched comrade Consul Cacofonix of Pathanamthitta to the Socialist Republic to investigate the possibility of increasing trade between the two states.

Republican Intelligence was watching the situation carefully. Word from above was that a possible war as brewing between the Socialist Republic and the Scandinvan Empire, a war which would be harder fought than the Revolution itself. Spy satellites were watching the Scandinvan Empire's vessels creep into the sea. A full account was being made, but it was certain not to be complete; who could sea the warships beneath the sea? Who knew which vessels would be heading for the homeland? Only time would tell their full strength, but what could be detected was impressive.

Analysts had patched together a fleet numbering in the hundreds, a number which was now haunting the Revolutionary Military High Command. The inherited Imperial Navy, now Revolutionary Navy, in its entirety numbered about that much. The navy was almost entirely intact and would have air support from the mainland, but it would be a tough fight indeed if it came to blows.

The entire navy was to set sail, organized into 5 fleets of two carrier battlegroups each. This would give the Revolutionary Military High Command the flexibility to detach and reorganize units as needed should battle commence. All fleets were to stay within range of air support.

John Karensky gave what he hoped would be his final address concerning the Scandinvan Empire.

"People of the Scandinvan Empire, we do not deny the inalienable right to property; we worship it as wholly as you do. However, we believe the right to property lies not with the individual, but with society. Society as a whole must benefit from any property, and we are taking property into society step by step. We will not stop our society from acting on its beliefs as enshrined in the Revolution because of the threats of a foreign imperialist nation. We have throne off the yoke of imperialism ourselves, and we invite the people of the Scandinvan Empire to throw off their own imperial chains and be as liberated as we are."

Imperial High Command:

At a secure bunker inside the Imperial Palace Emperor Godfrey III, and dozens of military commanders, stood over a computer generated image of the new Socialist Republic. They knew quite well they could easily win the war against the Republic as the Empire could literally pour well over fifty soldiers for every soldier the Socialist Republic of Fluffywuffy could muster. Yet, the real concern was the Beddgelen, who could easily turn this conflict into a war that would consume tens of million of soldiers from both nation.

But the Emperor, who was of Valgardian upbringing, trusted in the valor of Scandinvan arms and decided to continue with their operations against the Socialist Republic of Fluffywuffy.

Valdra, Scandinvan Empire:


In accordance with Imperial traditions the ten million soldiers that were being mustered for the war with the Socialist Republic of Fluffywuffy were to depart from the ten or so major ports that dotted the area around Valdra, the Parliamentary capital of the Scandinvan Empire. As per custom the military was holding a huge pride to demonstrate the martial might of the Glorious Empire of the Scandinvans as they went to defend the rights and laws God had given to all his chosen people.

In the harbors thousands more ships and nearly a thousand warships were gearing up to carry the invansion force off to war.

At the same time Scandinvna inquisition forces were busy suppressing what little Socialistic groups that remained in the Empire after the great purges that occurred fifteen years ago.

Imperial Diplomatic Response:

We shall follow the will of our Patriarch and Emperor.

We shall purge all those who question the will of the Almighty Lord, and who question the words of his blessed voice, the Scandinvan Catholic Patriarch.

Know that we shall be our doom since the Lord is with us and we shall reign his holy fury down upon the Socialist Republic of Fluffywuffy.

OOC: Eh, some old accounts have had trouble accessing the Jolt forums. Fluffywuffy still has his old NS account. I have intermittant problems with Beth Gellert, too, but for some reason it now allows me to log on by following the link, though I can't log in directly to Jolt. No idea why.

If you haven't tried recently, Fluffywuffy, I'd try logging in to your original nation on NS and following the Jolt Forum link, just incase it magically works again... it did for me, obviously, though last time I tried I couldn't get here and had to use Beddgelert.

Anyway, in the end, his NS nation is still Fluffywuffy, which has almost six billion people, and you can go and look at it, so I don't really see a problem.

OOC: Of course if he has a population of six billion I will need to rethink my strategy. Perhaps it would be best to move the conflict to the Beta forums.
