Across the Imperium

Crowd cheered fanatically as the newly proclaimed God-Emperor walked away with two of his elite Varangius Guardsmen following him.

Across the former Federation riots were taking place but no-one ever learned about them as the Newly formed Imperial Guard easily crushed them.
But some news managed to come through the information blockade,news of terrible persecutions and killing that took place in the Imperium.
Still most of the population thought that this change was good for them,but there were regions that were not pacified by the Imperialists.
Mountainous region of Northern Carpathia was one of those regions,mainly populated by ethnic furries even founded the Furry Republic of Carpatistan and quickly overrun the heroic 4th Battalion of Imperial Guard.
Swift retribution was going to take place as a lot of Imperial Guard units got orders to purge the infamous furry region,and it was going to take place soon.
All non-Cukaricans needed help as soon as possible and there were around 2 600 000 of them in the Imperium.
Mass slaughters and ethnic cleansing has allready started with around 400 000 people dead or missing,those including Senate supporters,communists,fascists,furries and muslims.

The circular room was deadly silent, only a day before they had been planning for the invasion of Parilisa now all those plans had been thrown into jeopardy. When they Cukarican message had been passed on it had actually been welcomed, 1st Wolf's Marshall Cain never really liked the kind of political system Cukarica had run. Now however Cain was furious and was about five minutes from calling off all units prepared for the up coming assault and having them move to a war footing against their long standing ally Cukarica. United they all stood in disgust as the televisions that were playing scenes sent to them by observers, Wolf Hold citizens in the area and satellites.

Whilst most nations didn't give a flying frak about furries, non-humans or any other name for anthromorphic animals, The Wolf Hold had always been a great advocate for their rights, they had sheltered them in the past, still continue to shelter them and would fight for them across the world. Cain stood their motionless, anger rampant across his face as he watched footage shot by a camera phone as Cukarican soldiers rounded up, assaulted, raped and shot a group of furs. The screams were too much for Cain to bear, pausing the tape as the camera operator zoomed in on the shocked face of the particular fur who was been subject to this bestiality. "We end this now! General Bamfield I give my permission to recall those CISFOR troops, get on the horn to General Gaunt, give him code Fallen Vixen 4589. The Dominion of Telros was a whirlwind of activity in this current age of their glorious nation. The economic downturn they had been experiencing was beginning to lift, thanks to heavy trade and aid from the Gothic nations with whom they had entered a pact by joining the Vorgothic Empire. They had a solid set of allies and their power was set to return at any moment. Not to mention they had offered to have embassies built for each of the Gothic nations, and that they could come and visit Telros to relax and see how their culture was. So between preparing for a revamping of the military, preparations for a possible boatload of high-level Gothic visits and the booming economy, the Dominion had plenty on its hands. But they would never ignore a crime so vicious as genocide, nor a people so arrogant to treat any one that way. Their glorious ancestors must have wept when they saw what was occurring.

The messenger ran off as Duncan put the papers back and set the envelope inside his shirt. He headed towards the Palace, and began to think over what he was going to say. Of course he is a fool but rushing in during this situation will only cause more harm. That is why we send ships for evacuation only. Londim is not going to be seen as the aggressor in this. I have sent a message to Oseato, telling them to give us clearance. Their position on the issue is not important, we're sending ships anyway. If they choose to attack then we will retaliate. Our main priority is to get those who are being persecuted out of there to safety within our borders.

Oseaton Broadcast News Announcement

The Defense Ministry announced that elements 7th and 8th Oseaton fleets will sortie and join the 6th Fleet in Cukarican waters following increased tensions in the region. We have been informed that a protective blockade has been formed inside Cukarican waters and will be enforced by the Oseaton Federal Navy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs again released a statement cautioning foreign nations from involving themselves in the affairs of the Cukarican state. Elements of X Corps will also be preparing for deployment to CISM bases in Cukarica if the situation escalates further as well as the 9th Fleet.

The Federation wishes to assure the world that the happenings inside Cukarica will be handled by CIS member nations and that foreign involvement is unnecessary in this conflict.

Of course he is a fool but rushing in during this situation will only cause more harm. That is why we send ships for evacuation only. Londim is not going to be seen as the aggressor in this. Loon gazed at the message and shook his head, turning to gaze at the t.v. which had the Dominion National News Network (or DNNN for short), relating the Oseato's determination to keep others out by deploying elements of their navy to safeguard it and deploying troops to CIN bases within the territory. Loon's hands clenched together as he stared in hatred at the screen. How in the name of the Ancestors could they think this was a good idea? A man, on some insane whim, chooses to overturn the constitution he SWORE to uphold, and then proceeds to order his armies to massacre those he doesn't like or those who try and resist? They were abetting genocide, and if anything else, they despised genocide. It had taken some extreme patience and willpower for Loon and the High Command not to order a full scale invasion of Cukarica, but several factors, including the Londim's request, made it so. However, with the apparent denial, since there was not mention of Londim ships being allowed through, of their request, he suspected they would back down or seek to push forth. He hoped for the latter.

A message was sent back in reply to Londim as he waited for the ever reclusive Ralkovians to reply to his offer.

There was a knock on his door and he looked up with a slight frown. "Come in." It opened to reveal a large, scarred figure wearing the dark blue and crimson uniform of the Telrosian Army. Covered in enough medals to be remade into a trophy, this man saluted the First and then spoke.

"Sorry for my lateness, I had to make a last few phone calls after what we heard on the news."

Duncan nodded. "Of course General Leer, take a seat." General Jonathan Leer was one of the Dominion's well-known generals, with a well-earned reputation of combat against both conventional and unconventional foes. He had been the hardest to convince when they had down-sized their military due to the economy and rising costs. He had ordered him to inform him when they had begun to mobilize their forces to deal with the Cukarican Incident, as it was now being called.

"As you requested, sir, we have mobilized Battle Groups Alpha and Beta to make ready in case we choose to go ahead, as well as three entire mechanized division, the 34th, the 19th, and the 47th. They all are waiting on our orders at Port Laeston to begin the final preparations. All they need now are the final supplies, which we are sending to them now."

Duncan nodded. "Good work, Jonathan. See to it that we are prepared in case something goes wrong. May the Ancestors go with you."

The General repeated the phrase, saluted, and then left. Duncan turned back to the t.v. and shook his head. If people like these Oseato and thise President Cullin continued to act like this, the world would never find peace.....

True to General Leers word, the three mechanized divisions were being transported to Port Laeston, where both Battle Groups Alpha and Beta had sailed in from their patrols at the borders of Dominion waters. The soldiers poured in as the camps designed to hold the troops and supplies and maintain everything in preparation for the possible operation were underway. Tanks and other vehicles were parked and soldiers met in assigned areas to go over the plans of the operation, while Intelligence began to gather what information they had on Cukarica and Oseato to form a plan. Transport ships lined up on the docks, waiting for the load of soldiers, equipment, and vehicles which may or may not come. All now depended on what happened next in this crazy dance.

The Birkanian battleship Sinij Znamya and two smaller transport ships finished being fueled up and finally started sailing towards Cukaria to repatriate the Birkanians, and to take up a few Cukarian specialists with them in case president Illic accepted the deal. Since the situation had recently worsened to an international crisis, four submersible cruisers, two AEGIS destroyers, two modernized KGV-class battleships and a single arsenal ship were sent to escort the transports.
"This is captain Benjamin Marakhov of the Birkanian battleship Sinij Znamya to all forces willing to attack Cukaria. Do not fire upon us, all we want is to repatrate our dear citizens from the nation of Cukaria. We are neutral. I repeat, do not fire upon us."
The battleships continued advancing towards Cukaria. In reality, some of the warships were loaded with gold. The Birkanian goverment was preparing something else.

Field Marshal and President Zackary Hamilton walked down the halls of the High Command, a place he knew quite well. Finally he entered a briefing room where Field Marshal Erwin Morrell, the Minister of Defense, stood looking over a map and photos.

"What have we, Erwin?" asked Hamilton.

"Looks like the Telrosian military is mobilizing their troops, sir." replied Morrell, his hands sweeping over the satellite pictures taken mere moments ago. "Since we know little of their unit organization, we can't give you unit numbers or a full estimation on the numbers of troops involved. The numbers will be substantial based on the numbers of transport ships we're counting."

"What do you recommend we do?" asked Hamilton as he looked over the pictures himself.

"I suggest you get on the phone to the leader of Cukarica and ask them for permission to deploy the entire 6th Fleet, a total of 40 ships. We're going to need as many ships as we can get if we're going to secure the Cukarican borders and protect their waters." replied Morrell. "As for ground forces, we've deployed the entire VIII Corps, with the exception of the 10th Infantry Division, a little over 107,000 soldiers, 61,750 of which are combat troops. They'll be able to hold anything thrown against them, especially with Cukarican troops assisting. Again, we've instructed Lt. General Kolhammer that he is not to support Cukarican troops in their assaults on civilians, only to support them if and when they engage in fighting with foreign troops."

"How did Field Marshal Novacek take the news of his promotion?" Hamilton asked, changing the subject.

"He seemed quite taken aback, but was willing to take the job. When he gets here he'll be briefed fully on the situation in Cukarica and then I'll let him run the Army as we promoted him to do." said Morrell. "I'm told he developed a good relationship with the Wolf Holdian delegates as well as several other CIS delegates and prospective members. He's quite the addition to the upper management."

"Good, good." sighed Hamilton. "In any event, I'm planning a speech to explain our position on the conflict in Cukarica, please let me know if anything escalates or develops." With that said, Hamilton and his bodyguards left the room, leaving Morrell to continue issuing orders that would send Oseaton troops into action.

2 days after the fighting started

The entrenched 87th Federal Land Force Brigade refused to give ground to the Imperial Marines,they even started a counterattack and destroyed three Imperial destroyers and a Kirov class cruiser ,however vastly outnumbered by the bloodthirsty Marines,their last bastion was the nine hundred years old fortress above the base.
Built in the 11th century by the crusader kings of Cukarica it still proved to be a formidable obstacle for the Imperials.
Moving wave after wave toward the fortress they were cut down by the machine guns of the 87th.But on the other side of the huge city,Marines encircled a platoon of Federalites.
Running toward them yelling bloodthirsty battle shouts,they quickly overrun them,and a gruesome scene happened.
A marine drew a pike in to a Federal soldier's head ripping it of the torso,and impaling it,blood spattered all around and this was repeated on the entire platoon.
Then these body parts were loaded onto a mock up catapult and launched in the fortress with a clear goal to instill fear into the hearts of the Federal rebels.

The Sinij Znamya and its battlegroup arrived to Cukarian waters and docked in the the port of DuNord along with two Wasp-class assault ships. The port was chock full of people who wanted to escape the regime. The Birkanians and their families were somewhere among the crowd, but most of them were just Cukarians who tried to escape the country by pretending to be Birkanians. Such was the chaos that, outside of the port, fake Birkanian documents were being sold to the masses.

The captaion of one of the Wasps picked up the microphone and radioed the captain of the leading battleship.
<<Rear Admiral, this is captain Rublev of the Boyevoy. we have no problems onboard but there's no way we can fit this ammount of people in.>> He said in a nervous tone <<I don't think all of them are even Birkanians>>
The admiral looked at the tens of thousands of refugees from the bridge of the battleship.
<<We will load them into the warships if we have to, but only our fellow Birkanians. Order the marines to establish checkpoints ASAP>> he replied over the radio <<We are not taking any Cukarian with us, those are strict orders>>

A small company of Birkanian marines disembarked from the vessels and set up a few barricades in front of the docks to keep the almost-rioting crowd away. They started to check every single person for documents, and soonly dozens of people were loaded onto the assault ships. However, the Birkanian soldiers were overwhelmed by the sheer ammount of people that was trying to escape the country. With such an ammount of people one could have filled a large city.
Meanwhile, important Cukarian scientists were checked and boarded the KGV-class battleships, while truckloads of gold were delivered to the goverment in exchange.

Outside the port of Tikidion, several hours before
Several hundred helicopters of the 13th and 14th Airborne Divisions thundered across the city, setting up protective perimeter around the Oseaton position. While fighting raged not far away, the Oseaton Airborne was directing civilians toward the waterfront that served as the field HQ for the airborne divisions. Several thousand civilians had already gathered there, many had been drawn to the city due to the news of the rebel factions there.

Off the coast the ONS Issac Muller, a Gerald Ford Class carrier, stood at anchor, attended to by a number of other ships. From the CIC Adm. Becker watched over the activity. He received a copy of all communications between the High Command and foreign powers. He had just received his instructions to monitor the approach of any foreign vessels and for the 5th Royal Fleet of Londim specifically.

"Continue the movement of the civilians, and alert me when you detect the 5th Royal Fleet, in the mean time I'm going to get some rest. Don't hesitate to wake me." spoke the Admiral. The carrier group was alert and evacuation continued.

Ralkovia will be taking the deportee's immediately. We thank you for your consideration.

2 days after the fighting started

The situation became desperate for the Federals,they knew that this is one of the last pockets of resistance in Cukarica,but the commander of the 87th knew that the end of his brigade was nearing,and he promised to himself that they will go down with a large bang.
He ordered his men to ready their bayonets on their M21 rifles.
A heroic last charge was going to happen,but still morale was unshaken as all of his remaining men knew that their faith was sealed from the moment they refused to pledge their lives to protect the self-proclaimed "Emperor".General Menkambauer knew that Oseaton troops were watching and taping their fight with the Imperialists,and he knew that they wouldn't do anything about it,but still world needed to know about the sacrifice of legal Republican forces and their cause.
Menkambauer unsheated his officer saber,and ordered his men to play the Ode to Heroes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH_3HuVzHko),former Federal Land Forces hymn.
When the song started,remaining defenders started their heroic but futile charge against the Imperialists,who were deeply entrenched and fortified around the Fortress.
The outcome was obvious,Imperialist guns cut down valorous defenders,as a storm of bullets was flying in every direction,hitting Menkambauer with a volley of bullets,and ripping his torso apart.
After ten minutes of the gunfight,all defenders were dead,and Imperials were counting their bodies and impaling their heads.
A gruesome scene as Imperial Marines,were bloody like creatures from hell,but their goal was accomplished now.

The situation in the docks hadn't gotten any better, with the Birkanians trying to hold off the horde of desperate refugees from their vessels. However, they couldn't afford to transport non-Birkanian refugees because of strict orders from the president himself. He didn't want to be a hindrance to the holocaust that was taking place.

<<This is the Boyevoy.>> The captain said from the bridge, watching over the tragic chaos unfolding in the docks <<Admiral, our ship is completely filled with refugees, and there's still thousands more coming. Requesting orders>> He said, then his voice was silenced by warning shots fired by the Birkanian soldiers.

<<Ditch the aircraft and prepare the hangars, these persons are more valuable than them.>> The captain of the battleship said.

<<Sir, the hangars are already full of people. We can't take more of them>> The other captain replied.

<<What about the battleships? Battleships, report!>> The leader of the fleet asked. Watching the drama had softened him a bit, and now he wanted to get as many people out of there as possible.

Finding no other solution, the captain of the battleship disobeyed his orders and decided to radio the Cukarian high command directly. By now all the Birkanians were onboard the vessels, but there were still tens of thousands of Cukarians trying to flee, and he wanted to do something about them.
"Maybe we can get the air force to help" The first officer whispered.

<<Your submarine and the rest of the vessels of this battlegroup will not move, that's an order!>> the admiral shouted, then regained his composture <<The Tretji Interregional must be nearby. Comms officer, I want to have a talk with them>>

The vessels remained in port, and the only excuse given to the Cukarican goverment was that the ships were suffering from engine problems. Meanwhile, the captain of the Sinij Znamya contacted the flagship of his fleet, the massive aircraft carrier named Tretji Interregional. The captain of the battleship managed to convince the rest of the Birkanian Navy's 3rd fleet to approach and assist in the evacuation.
Squadrons of C-1 Trader aircraft, along with enormous CH-71 and Mi-12 superheavy transport helicopters took off from the supercarriers of the 3rd fleet, and they started to transport the refugees from the assault ships to the main body of the fleet in a rather illegitimal operation.

ONS Issac Muller,6th Oseaton Fleet

A knock came at the door of Adm. Becker's private quarters. He slowly got up from his cot and walked to open it. Standing at the door was a messenger from the CIC.

"Sir, we've got unidentified aircraft coming from the Birkanian fleet, our allies indicated that they would not allow for such aircraft in their airspace." announced the messenger.

Becker quickly straightened his uniform and closed the door to his cabin before motioning to the messenger to lead the way back to the CIC. Once there he began issuing orders.

"Get on the horn and warn them away, if they don't cease their operations tell them we'll blow them out of the sky, with the help of the Imperial forces. It'll take some time to get some F-21's over there, so send the CAP ahead and follow it up with a squadron." commanded the Admiral. "And get a sub over there to monitor the situation."

The planes began to launch as the message to the Birkanian fleet went out.

"Attention Birkanian Fleet, this is the Oseaton Federal Navy. You are to cease all airborne activities and leave the territorial waters of Cukarica or face the consequences. You are operating against the wishes of the Imperial command and will be sunk if you are to continue your operations."

<<This is captain Marakhov of the Sinij Znamya. We are unable to leave port, one of our submarines collided aganist the rudder of our vessel and we are currently conducting repairs. We will leave once we finish.>> The captain replied, with some of his helicopters already forming a sky bridge to the 3rd fleet.

<<This is Admiral Krakev of the Birkanian supercarrier Tretji Interregional.>> The captain of the Birkanian flagship supercarrier also responded in a proud tone <<we are conducting ressuply operations for the ships carrying the refugees. The refugees are in need of supplies and medicines, and our ships need fuel and spare parts to repair the damage. Our aircraft are unarmed, so Be patient.>>

While the massive helicopters were actually carrying hundreds refugees, this was a pretty solid excuse. The helicopters had been stripped of their weapons and marked with the red cross emblem in a rush.

ONS Issac Muller,6th Oseaton Fleet

"Sir they claim they're just conducting resupply operations and that two of their ships were involved in an accident and can't leave port." Adm. Becker was informed by the comms officer.

The radar officer and the satellite officer both looked at each other before talking amongst themselves quickly before the radar officer turned to Adm. Becker. "Sir, we've both confirmed that these aircraft are landing onshore, staying for longer than it takes to offload supplies. Also, it would be dangerously wasteful to refuel ships via aircraft, requires too much fuel itself."

"Alright, prepare another message." responded Becker.

Attention Captain Marakhov and Admiral Krakev, you are to cease all airborne operations immediately. We have intelligence that leads us to believe you are continuing the evacuation without the permission of the Cukarican government, cease operations or you will be sunk. While we understand the needs to repair your ships, we suggest you tow them back to your own ports instead of keeping them in potentially hostile waters. In any event, cease all airborne operations immediately, and you have one hour to get underway. If the airborne operations are not stopped, your aircraft will be fired on. You have been warned.

"Come on, just a few more trips and we can pack up" Captain Marakhov said as the large helicopters continued to take away refugees, bringing more and more to safety.

<<Very well>> Admiral Krakev said in the captain's seat of the large supercarrier, before answering trough the ship's comms system with his usual confident and mocking tone that had earned him the hatred of half the Birkanian Navy.

<<Admiral Becker, I'm not very sure if you have found yourself in our position before. You should know that the helicopters we are sending are too large to safely land on the ships we stationed there... But do not be nervous>> He leaned back on his seat <<our repair and ressuply operations are almost complete, it should only take us about two or three hours>> He said, then paused, being reminded that it would take longer than that <<That is, if we do not have to suddenly refuel our ships...>> He laughed.

In response to your requests several actions have been undertaken to assure that our goals are more in line with each other. While we still cannot permit your fleet into Cukarican waters without permission, we request that you stay directly outside the 15 mile exclusion zone. Oseaton forces are currently gathering civilians outside of the port of Tikidion and will need a place to transfer them. I would like to request that Oseaton ships and aircraft be able to transfer these civilians into your custody.

We hope you find this compromise acceptable. However, we must again reiterate that any foreign navy entering Cukarican waters will be prosecuted.

5th Fleet Commanding Ship

The 5th Royal Fleet were nearing the perimeter of the exclusion zone when the message to not enter the waters was received. Instead they waited for the Oseaton's to act.

The doors to Marcus' private studies burst in as Senator's rushed in with a look of anger and shock on their faces.

"What is the meaning of this?!", cried Senator Young. "You've allowed 3rd Fleet to go to Cukarica?! You know how volatile 3rd Fleet is!"

"Wait? I ordered the 5th Royal Fleet to evacuate civilians trapped in Cukarica and bring them here for asylum. 3rd Fleet do not have any business in this matter. You know they are only used in a time of war."

"Yes. We do. Obviously they think this is a time of war since all of 3rd Fleet left Lindent Port this morning en route to Cukarica. They could start a war!" replied Young.

(OOC: Londim's 3rd Fleet is a volatile fleet which occassionally acts independently. It is also the strongest naval fleet Londim has. Thought two fleets from the same nation with different agendas could add a whole new level to the RP)

"Sir, they've again refused to comply, in fact they seem to be mocking our attempts to get them to stop." said the comms officer.

"Then give permission to the F-21's to fire. If they don't think we're serious, we'll show them we are. Focus the anti-ship missiles on the carrier, and take out a few helicopters as well." commanded Becker.

The radar officer also spoke up "Sir, the 5th Royal Fleet from Londim has arrived outside of the exclusion zone."

"Thank you, tell them the Federal Army's helicopters are on their way to meet them, have them direct the helicopters to the proper ships. Also, alert the Imperial Fleet as to the actions of the Birkanian fleet."

Near the Birkanian Fleet

16 F-21 Sparrowhawks flew towards the fleet. The 4 that had comprised the CAP over the Oseaton Fleet flew towards the sky bridge over the enemy ships. Meanwhile the other 12 all fired AS.34 Kormoran 2 missiles at the enemy carrier. The missiles quickly dropped down to nearly wave top height as they cruised at near mach 1 the missiles were some of the hardest missiles to intercept in the world. The planes then disengaged and headed on the lengthy flight back to the Oseaton Fleet.

Meanwhile the former CAP swept down upon the helicopters, unleashing with their rotary cannons and Sidewinder missiles. After several passes the F-21's followed their fellow planes out of the area.

Near Tikidion

The first wave of Oseaton Blackhawks lifted off from their onshore base on the waterfront. The Airborne Divisions had a combined 460 UH-60 Blackhawks available, however only around 50 would make up the first wave of the refugees being sent to the Londim fleet.

They quickly made their way out before asking for directions on where to begin offloading their cargo.

"This is Nagumo Flight to the 5th Royal Fleet, requesting instructions on where to land, over."

"MISSILES! There's contacts all over the place!" One of the radar operators of the Tretji Interregional said. The ships' radars detected the missiles approaching at mach and got a lock on them. A volley of 12 Tor missiles were launched aganist the incoming AShMs while the CIWS prepared to intercept anything that got trough, and the two layers of defense managed to repel the missiles, so the only damage was fragmentation spall on the side of an Udaloy-class destroyer.

While the fleet managed to avoid destruction, the helicopters were another story. Every single one that had been intercepted got shot down, and the one still in the air quickly scattered and landed on either the Cukarian docks.

"All missiles succesfully intercepted"
"Sir, we lost all helicopters currently in the zone. 8 of them."
<<Can't you animals show any respect!?>> Captain Krakev's tone immediately switched from mockery to rage <<Those aircraft were in a humanitarian mission for God's sake!>> He shouted trough the radio, then turned back to the officers

"All hands man their battlestations. We have been attacked without provocations by these cowards, and lost many brave men! Do not let their sacrifice be in vain, anihilate them!" He said trough the loudspeakers of the ship. Two Kirovs fired twelve S-300PMU SAM missiles at the retreating aircraft, guided by the ship's potent radars to ensure that chaff drops weren't enough to distract them.

The Federation of Oseato would like to clear up some misconceptions surrounding our respective interventions in Cukarica. The Federation does not condone the mass murder of innocents and civilians, nor does it seek to harbor those that do. These forces will see to the stabilization of the Sanctum Imperium of Cukarica and the end to the killings being committed. I sincerely hope you will see this for what it is, a peace offering, and I wish only friendly and prosperous relations with your noble country in the future.

I will be frank. I don't like it. But I will respect your reasons and I understand you are doing the best you can under your circumstances. As such, I have ordered the downsizing of my forces as well, as a sign of good faith. I will keep some at the ready, in case the situation worsens. If you would like, I can send my forces over to help in protecting Cukarica from foreign trouble and aid you in your evacuation. I can whistle up a transport fleet in no time, just give the word. Also, be warned, the Ralkovians, as they have done in the past, could be sending in an army to fight the new government. As much as that appeals to me, it is going against what we are trying to do, so be forewarned. I will be sending a force of transports, guarded by a detachment of Battle Group Alpha, to help the evacuation. Until I hear your response, the remaining forces will stay home.

Loon looked at the message and growled in frustration. One side of him wanted to say fuck the Oseato reply and go ahead full steam, blasting anything in his way. However, the other, more rational part spoke of caution and wisdom. These people were doing the right thing, perhaps not in the way he wanted but he still had to understand that treaty obligations put nations under stress at times. He could imagine he would have to act in a way he didn't want to at some point with the Vorgothic Empire. Sighing to himself, he picked up the phone and called High Command. They would need to dial back the forces they had mobilized. The troops would remain mobilized, since they had only muster about 90,000 troops, but Battle Group Beta was sent back on its patrol route, leaving Battle Group Alpha, and there was currently underway a plan to split Alpha so they could have some ships continue their duties while the others waited for orders. But for now, this would be enough. Satellite imagery showed the Oseato government doing as promised and committing a similar decrease in build up. Duncan was curious about this nation, it seemed very honorable and that meant a lot to his people.

However, events continued apace as he soon received a telegram from the Cukarican 'Emperor'. He rolled his eyes. This should be worth a laugh.

Before he could go back to his reports, another message arrived, this time from the Londim government. He gave it a quick look over and then sent a reply.

I understand your situation but a diplomatic exchange between myself and the Oseato government has revealed their reasons for what they are doing, and while I do not like them, I understand them and will not be sending forces unless the situation worsens considerably. If you need any aid or come under attack by Cukarica, inform me and I shall see if I will need to arouse the Dominion's might.

Near the Birkanian Fleet

"SAM's in the air, deploy chaff!" screamed a pilot over the net.

"They aren't going after the chaff!" yelled another.

"Keep popping off chaff, we'll cover it." replied a calm voice. It came from a nearby EA-6B Prowler, armed with the latest and greatest in radar jamming. They quickly locked onto the powerful radar of the Birkanian ships and commenced jamming, greatly reducing the effectiveness of the missiles, coupled with the massive amounts of chaff being dumped into the air made it extremely hard to hit the outgoing, supercruising, F-21's. However, one was destroyed by an exploding missile that detonated when it lost it's track near the aircraft.

ONS Issac Muller, 6th Oseaton Fleet

"F-21's report they splashed nearly all the helicopters. The anti-ship missiles were intercepted before they could hit though. We lost an F-21 to anti-air fire." said the comms officer. "Wait, there's transmission from the enemy fleet. It appears that the enemy captain is calling us animals, sir."

"Please remind the captain that we asked them to cease their operations several times and warned them, several times. They brought this upon themselves." replied Becker. "Arm the F-35's off the escort carriers for anti-ship operations and have them on alert. Arm a couple of squadrons of F-21's for anti-air and alert the A-6's as well. Tell the rest of the fleet to energize radars and get me a direct line to the Imperial Fleet, we're going to need their help."

"All pilots prepare for combat operations" The control tower of one of the three carriers of the Birkanian fleet said. The aircraft were being readied to secure air supremacy and eliminate any anti-shipping craft that might get near. The Hy-13 air superiority fighters were equipped with radar guided, heat seeking and HARM missiles, while the Hy-11 multirole fighters were being readied for a possible counterattack. The helicopters from a Moskva-class ASW carrier took off and scattered to keep the fleet covered, while two submersible cruisers emptied their ballast tanks and submerged.

The ships docked in DuNord set sail in a frenzied rush that was hampered by the efforts of more refugees to get onboard, and started going towards the main body of the fleet at maximum speed.

Field Marshal Hamilton nodded as he read the reply, he fully understood the other man's decision. He would gladly welcome more help keeping the peace in Cukarica and keeping foreign involvement to a minimum. He sent the following reply.

Dear First Duncan Loon,

I fully understand your feelings on this matter. The whole conflict is distasteful and horrible, though I am glad to know that other nations understand our current position. That being said, I would gladly welcome your troops and transports in evacuating the civilians and keeping the foreign powers from intervening. Please understand however, that Federation Naval Aircraft have engaged another nation at this time, just so that you are aware as we do not wish for your troops to be needlessly caught in the crossfire. I will alert our forces in Cukarica to prepare for your arrival.

We also thank you for your warning about Ralkovia and will pass it along to the proper authorities in our military and intelligence community.

Finished with the message he sent it on to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send to First Duncan Loon. He then turn his seat to face the window behind his desk, gazing out onto the lit up skyline of Oseato City at night. He was glad that cooler heads had prevailed, besides those from Birkaine, and that peace would find a way. In the mean time, he would have to order his troops to begin to move to protect Cukarican citizens without bringing the wrath of the new government.

He quickly picked up the phone and spoke, "Connect me to Field Marshal Morrell."

The Oseaton 6th Fleet, Cukarican Waters

Several flights of aircraft buzzed overhead, yet none were making any moves to leave the area surrounding the fleet. If the Birkanian fleet left Cukarican waters peacefully, the Federal Navy would do nothing to stop it. However, if they choose to attack, the fleet would be fully prepared to receive it.

The fleet had been allowed to both link up with the smaller group that had been evacuating refugees and deploy its full carrier wing unhindered, and the VLS tubes on the Kirovs opened as long-range radars were set up.
"And they think they will live after this outrage! I don't care if we have declared war or not, we'll send those dogs to oblivion out of principle!" The captain of the Tretji Interregional said, then picked up the microphone to adress both his fellow sailors onboard the ships and the Oseatian fleet.

The Oseatian fleets, in great arrogance, have directly violated international accordings and our neutrality by attacking our brave men who wanted nothing but to help our fellow citizens in this time of strife for Cukaria. Followed by another attack directly on us, this can only be in extension an attack on the Birkanian people itself! I will not tolerate these insults again. By the power that I have been given by the Birkanian Navy, I hereby declare hostilities on the nation of Oseato. May our glorious nation give us its blessing, comrades!>>
The vessels started to head towards the enemy vessels at a moderate speed, waiting for the right time to do their move.
The formation was led by the King George IV-class modernized battleships of the evacuation taskforce, escorted by two Ambassador-class antiaircraft battleships.

Admiral Becker paced about the CIC waiting for the situation to stabilize, unfortunately it appeared that it wasn't going to be that way. As he walked to the digitalized map console and watched as the Birkanian Fleet moved toward the position of the Oseaton Fleet. However, in their path was a picket line of submarines, hidden under the water.

Becker moved to the comms officer and spoke in low tones. "Send a message to the submarines, tell them to stay silent and stay in position, if the Birkanian fleet moves within firing range, tell them to take their shots and get out of there." Done Becker moved back across the room and continued to look at the map. He hoped the Birkanian fleet would see reason, but he was also fully prepared to fight if they didn't.

Message to the Birkanian Fleet

While we understand your anger, we did warn you several times what would happen if you continued to violate the wishes of the Cukarican government. We were fully justified in our actions. That being said, we are apologetic for the unfortunate loss of life, but let's not overshadow that with more blood. Do not force us to act against your forces again. Our forces are fully alert and fully capable of damaging your fleet severely. We do not wish to do this, but will defend ourselves if the need arises.

The Tatum submarines led the way underwater while the Ka-27s above scanned the waters for any enemy presence.

A volley of eight Kh-55 missiles was fired from one of the Kirov battlecruisers, but directed to ascend to a high altitude, then come down onto the enemy aircraft carrier directly from above to circumvent CIWS systems and damage the flight deck.

The Armed Republic of Salzland, duly noting the news of unmentionable acts of barbarism and brutality being conducted within the so-called "Sanctum Imperium of Cukarica," wishes to note its whole-hearted and unreserved condemnation for the actions of this rogue regime. That a nation would wantonly issue orders for, and conduct a blatant, wide-scale extermination of sentient life, including the use of weapons of mass destruction against civilian populations, is a despicable act which spits in the face of the human race. It is an act of lunacy, the act of madmen, and an act which demands resistance from all who would deem themselves civilized.

Effective immediately, the Armed Republic will be instituting a full and complete set of diplomatic and economic sanctions upon this barbaric regime. These actions on our part include a full economic embargo, as well as the recall of the Salzland Ambassador to Cukarica, along with any and all Salzland nationals presently residing in that nation. These acts represent solely the first stage of what the Armed Republic is prepared to do in order to end this crisis.

In order to end Salzland actions against the current regime, several conditions must be met. These conditions include, but are not limited to the capitulation of the sitting tyrranical regime, to be replaced by a democratically-elected government, and the detention of "God-Emperor" Srecko Illic until he can be transfered to international custody for trial on charges of commiting crimes against humanity and acts of genocide. Any and all individuals who collaborated in these wide-scale exterminations must also be detained and turned over to face an independent, impartial, international tribunal.

The Armed Republic also wishes to single out the Federation of Oseato, for its blatant complicity in the crimes committed by the Cukarican regime. The actions of this nation, in not only providing diplomatic support for the tyrant conducting wholesale slaughter but outright, direct military aid on his behalf, are nothing short of shameful and criminal. Clinging to a defensive military alliance as justification for aiding in the massacre of unarmed civilians is an abominable and disgraceful action. Effective immediately, the same diplomatic and economic sanctions placed upon Cukarica may be considered in place against Oseato. These same sanctions will further be placed upon any and all nations which see fit to provide support in any form for the murderers ruling the Cukarican state, or their accomplices in Oseato.

Should any actions be taken against Salzland nationals residing within Cukarica, Oseato, or any other nation alligned with this coalition of barbarians, it will be considered an act of war and responded to with the full and unrestrained might possessed by the Salzland Defense Forces. To any who would stand with the inhuman monsters controlling the nations of Cukarica and Oseato, we have only this to say:

The Emperor has decided to commit the 53rd and 54th legions to help defend your divine sovereignty, a total force of 12.000 men and 1000 heavy battle tanks, as well as the crews for these tanks. They will be placed under the command of your government, and will remain so unless the Emperor decides to increase our military commitment enough to warrant the inclusion of one of our generals in the operation. We have the 55th through 65th legions ready to depart at a moment's notice if such an action is deemed necessary. Our forces will arrive by way of sea transport within two days.

Thousands of men were marching aboard the waiting ships in perfect unison, they were wearing unmarked black full-body armor, as it was against Zirilrath custom to let the troops wear the symbols of the Empire when under the command of a foreign general. Along with them a thousand tanks, similarly black and unmarked, were loaded on the ships.

When preparations were complete they set out, headed for Cukarican waters.

Imperial Admiral Flavius watched as the Birkanian ships refuse to leave Imperial territorial waters,and even fire on Oseaton ships.On the bridge of his flagship, HMS "Divine triumph" he ordered a full scale retaliatory strike against the Birkanian fleet.On his cold face there was a small maniacal smile,as he ordered the strike.
On his mark three Longsword ships launched their anti-shipping missiles on the Birkanian fleet,FGFA and INF-Haribon fighters were scrambled and en route toward the Birkanian ships.
In total,nothing good was going to happen to the Birkanians for their arrogance,as 2000 LY4045 and 1000 LY589 Hellion missiles were on flying toward them,and like if it wasn't bad enough for them 400 fighters from 5 different carriers were flying to bomb them and ultimately destroy them.
Cutting through air missiles were flying at low altitude to try to avoid radar detection,however aircraft wanted to hit the enemy directly from above just like dive bombers of World War 2,as they wanted to reduce the efficiency of the Birkanian air-defenses.
Back at the Imperial fleet Ticonderoga cruisers,made the first line of defenses against enemy missiles and air strikes with their anti-air missiles and batteries.

Imperial outpost no.543 was merely a guard post near the once inter-federal border between two member states of the former Federation,between Rumelia and Henzburg,and a view point of the home base of Federal Mountain Rangers,an elite and nurtured unit of best marksmen and guerrilla fighters across the deceased Federation.With the introduction of the new Imperium,Emperor Alandiel or better known as former-President Srecko Ilic knew that one of the main threats against him were these fearsome fighters trained from infancy,to defend the Federation and to protect it from any threat.
But the new Emperor made a gruesome mistake,instead of butchering these forces just like he did to everyone else ,he just disbanded them.Most of them have already deserted the base and went into Shwartzwald,a massive forest clogging the border passes between these former states.Emperor being too busy with foreign happenings,never actually payed any attention at these reports,he simply ignored them.But soon he was going to regret that huge mistake.
Assembling the Mountain Rangers again,a young man stood in front of these shadowy figures.A men dedicated to one thing,Death to the Emperor,Glory to the Republic.Once a mere captain of the Rangers,Capt.Gordon Drake set a clear goal to himself,after seeing many of his friends burned for heresy,or just being furry.
He swore to put an end to this blasphemy.
Under the cover of night shadow warriors came closer to the sleeping outpost,after they counted around 30 Imperial Marines,the worst of Imperial forces,the rangers took aim at a lonely Marine guarding the main gate.
In a few seconds the man collapsed decapitated when a snipe round from Strela rifle went through his brain,whose parts landed on a Humvee behind him.
Silently like shadows Rangers entered the outpost carrying C-4 charges and gasoline canisters,in a rush they mined the barracks,marine vehicles and poured gallons of fuel all over the small base,the stench of fuel was unbearable and the rangers escaped the base before any of the genocidal Marines could wake up and sound the alarm.
After reaching safe grounds 400m above the Imperial base,Drake himself lit a cigarette,and without thinking pressed a red button on the wireless detonator,and a second later a huge explosion occurred at the base,as vehicles were flying in the air and their gas tanks exploding and lighting fuel on the ground.
Burning Marines were trying to escape the flames that engulfed them,but unfortunately for them, to no avail.
Quickly escaping into the forest silently as they came Rangers slipped into night.

At Ranger base everyone except Drake was happy with a successfully finished mission.But Drake was worried how to gather support to restore democracy,he didn't knew of any foreign power willing to assist so his deep thoughts were interrupted by his second in command,Lieutenant Aldortris Ginus,an ethnic Osean born in Cukarica,and a former CISFOR member.

Aldortris aproached him giving him a warm pat on his shoulder.

"Gordon,my friend what troubles you"

Looking at the radio he was sitting next to,he turned toward Aldortris with a bitter smile on his face.

"I'm thinking how will we gather support,because we can't free our people with 900 men,i can't think of anything,and i fear that our cause is doomed at the beginning."

"Yes,but we can't contact them because the Imperial forces know all codes,and thus they can listen to us"

Admiral Stone of 5th Royal watched the exchange of fire between the Birkainian fleet and the Oseaton fleet and shook his head. He knew that the Birkainian's were there to rescue their people and would have like nothing more than to order his ships to go to the aid of them and destroy Cukarica's forces. However his Emperor did not want a war.

"Sir, Oseaton helicopters approaching with civilians on board. Where shall we direct them?" asked Captain Daniels.

"Re direct them to LMS Sharp. That ship has the most capacity and can deal with the civilians."

"Sir!", cried a radar operator, " A fleet of ships is coming from behind! Oh god...Sir it's 3rd Fleet. What do we do?!"

The colour from Stone's face went. There was nothing they could do against 3rd Fleet unless they wanted to spark a civil war back home.

"We'll have to let them pass. Damn it they'll put the whole operation in jeopardy. Send a message to the Oseatons."



To Oseaton Naval Forces,

Beware. Londim 3rd Fleet has arrived in the vicinity against our Emperor's wishes. They are a bloodthirsty crew. If they attack, please remember they do not act with any orders from our government. We cannot fight them lest we cause a civil war in our nation. Good luck to you.

OOC: To Cukarica and Oseato; could you please specify your forces? How can you launch 3000 missiles at once using less than 20 ships? Unless you completely packed your ships with AShMs and left them without SAMs, ASROCs, etc.

The doppler radars of the Birkanian fleet equickly detected the sea skimming missiles. To counter the Cukarican strike, the Birkanian antiaircraft battleships and AEGIS cruisers assumed a defensive formation around the carriers, battleships and battlecruisers. These ships immediately fired volleys of 9K311 Tor missiles, once again guided by the ship's AESA radars to increase their accuracy, while the naval strike craft above were radioed to prepare their HARM missiles to destroy any jammer decided to dirsupt the signals.

The battleships themselves started to pick up the enemy strike craft with their 91N6 Big Bird radars and started firing more S-300PMU missiles from at least 300 km away.

Meanwhile, a few Global Hawk UAVs were launched from the catapults of some of the battleships and ascended to their operational ceiling while keeping themselves within the fleet's air defense range.

OOC: Bikaraine I beleive Cukarica is using a Longsword Super Capital Guided Missile Cruiser, whcih is over 1km long and has over 800,000 VLS cells, so it is quite cabable of launching 2000 missiles at once. However if that is not the case your point still stands.

OOC: It has the launch capability for 2000 missiles, but not at one time. The missiles can't launch instantaneously out of the cells, nor would you want them to -- with that many missiles shooting at the same time, they'd likely hit each other...

OOC: You could stagger the launch and if you posistion the missiles at several sections of the ships VLS cells, you might pull it off. But you are right, it has the capacity to fire 2000 missiles.

The current acts of genocide, civil unrest and international war that revolves around the ‘fallen’ state of Cukarica is one that has not escaped the Inquisition’s ever stern and watchful gaze. Oseaton Fleet, Cukarican Waters

The missiles were detected shortly after they were launched, the entire fleet was tracking them with the help of the Imperial Fleet, the cruisers and destroyers opened up with their SM3 launchers and easily defeated the 8 missiles with the help of the Imperial Fleet. 20 F-35's joined 24 F-21's in lifting off and heading toward the Birkanian fleet, the F-35's loaded with Anti-ship missiles while the F-21's were loaded for anti-air operations, they would only engage the fleet after the Cukarican missiles struck.

Meanwhile, some miles away, the 4 Oseaton submarines launched 2 Tomahawks each in addition to 2 Harpoon missiles before diving deep and exiting the area, establishing another picket line some miles behind the original.

The helicopters of the Oseaton Federal Army had acknowledged the instructions of the 5th Royal Fleet and had begun offloading their civilian cargo. When the transmission addressing the issue of the 3rd Royal Fleet arrived, Becker thought for a moment before sending the following response and copying it to the 3rd Royal Fleet.

The Federation of Oseato will not block the passage of the 3rd Royal Fleet, for we do not wish conflict. However, we will defend ourselves as required, if fired upon. We would appreciate if the 3rd Royal Fleet gave our fleet some room when passing, as we are currently engaged in other operations.

Shortly thereafter another message came over CISM channels, but was encrypted with codes that were not currently in use. After a few moments of confusion, the comms officer ordered it to be ran through the computers dedicated to code breaking. The computer quickly recognized the old codes and deciphered the message. The comms officer quickly read it with growing bewilderment and took it to the admiral.

After reading it Becker looked toward comms officer and responded. "Respond with the same codes, tell them we will assist them in overthrowing the Emperor. However, don't shut out the Imperials, don't let them know we're going to work against them. Also, round up the Black Guards attached to the 13th Airborne, they'll be assisting these rebels."

The message quickly went out to the rebel faction. This is a message from Admiral Becker of the Oseaton 6th Fleet, currently in Cukarican waters, we will assist you. As we speak we are preparing our ground forces for an offensive to expand our position in Cukarica. We are also sending you a special operations company to assist in your activities. If there is a need for further communication, continue to use this channel as it will be monitored at all times.

As the message went out, several Blackhawks not being used in the evacuation were loaded up with rations and supplies as well as a company of Oseaton Black Guards, they would be transfering to a CISFOR base in the area where they would be taking an Oseaton C-130 and complete and airdrop near the rebel positions.

The slow tomahawks were engaged in a close distance by a Ticonderoga-class cruiser's CIWS guns , but one of the Harpoons managed to get trough and blew off the whole tern of the ship, causing widespread fires onboard. However, one of the Birkanian submersible cruisers easily detected the noise of the missile launchs and the ballast tanks of the Ohios, and fired two Shkval guided supercavitating torpedies towards the submarine.

Twenty five Hy-13s that had been fitted with air-to-air missiles were sent by the commander to intercept the F-35s, and the Kirov battlecruisers readied their S-500 missiles for when the enemy aircraft got out of the Oseatian's air defense range.

One of the large battleships prepared its main guns to fire, and a few seconds later its massive batteries shot three enormous 20" shells at the enemy fleet. While it had fired them outside of common range, these were extended range munitions, using a rocket thruster to be able to hit the enemy ships. The RQ-9s flying miles above marked the enemy battleship with laser designators for the guided shells to follow.

The ships sent from Zirilrath made their way to Cukarican waters, well before shedule, and upon detecting the presence of other nations' vessels engaged in conflict issued the following message:

Attention all foreign vessels! We are here with the permission of the Cukarican nation, and any attempt to stop us from reaching their shores will be considered an act of aggression and we will respond in kind. We simply demand to pass without interference.

They then headed towards the closest port large enough for them to dock. Upon arrival Major Agrippa, the highest-ranking officer present, would take contact with the Cukarican military to find out what their orders were.

Pallihseaf (Pronounced: "PEah-lu-luee-ha-seeeayah-fe") means 'Corruption', and is used in the sense of Catholic Excommunication.
Kyoswtolpw (Pronounced: "KUKaeoh-seew-teoh-lu-pew") means 'Death-march' and is used in the same sense as Islamic Jihad or Christian Crusade. Civil Unrest within Commonwealth Member Nation Cukarica

The Empire has been keeping it's eye in the distance to our fallen ally. Cukarica has hit a rough spot with it's national politics when their President named himself as 'God-Emperor'.

Shortly after this event; the Supreme Emperor, along with the Imperial Cabinet and the Imperial Parliament, issued a statement of condemnation against the 'God-Emperor' and those who supported him. Stipulations included in this condemnation included the Banning of travel, economic sanctions, and the ending of diplomatic ties; amoung other things. There has been no official response to this messege from the Cukarican Government.

We here at Shazbotdom News Network now have heard rumors of the beginnings of secret proceedings amoungst the leadership of the CIN to start a vote to eject current Member Nation Cukarica from the Commonwealth of Independent Nations. There is no official word as to the legitimacy of these rumors but with ties as they are within Cukarica we speculate that these proceedings are indeed taking place.

Official memo's were sent to the leadership of the Shazbotdom Empire as well as the leadership of North Mack without any reply, further inquiries will possibly take place on the part of us here at Shazbotdom News Network.

The 3rd Royal Fleet moved towards Cukarican waters but on receiving the message they gave space to the Oseaton fleet. They were not the target for this mission. The Cukaricans were and the 3rd Royal Fleet was sending in help to the rebels. Of course they would have to get past the Cukarican fleet first.


To the Oseaton fleet,

Per your request we leave you be. However if you really want to help this nation you will turn your guns away from the Birkainean fleet, who came peacefully and instead help destroy the Cukarican fleet. We need to get to land to send supplies to the rebel factions to fight the Cukaricans and pick up refugees.

His Imperial Majesty's Government is shocked by the actions of Cukarica, especially the Cukarican Presidents decision to proclame himself "God-Emperor", which is an heretical act in the eyes of the Emperor. Henseforth, we have decided not to futher recognize the present Cukarican government as legitimate and will put economic sanctions on Cukarica. We will remove these measures if the Cukarican Government ceases any acts of ethnic and religious cleansing that it is commiting. However, we continue to have respect for the Cukarican people and have decided to send ships to support the Oseaton fleet in their operations.

Duncan continued to be given reports about the Cukarican situation and it apparently went into the shitter, as he had felt it would do eventually. The Oseato forces protecting the nation had fired upon the Birkanian forces, who had taken on their passengers and appeared to be having some problems with their ships, or perhaps some kind of feint. After warning them, Loon assumed the Oseato commander had fired on them to make their point known. Now, the satellites were tracking the battle going on between the Birkanian and Oseato fleets, with two Londim ones arriving at the time. It was turning into a huge boiling pot that was ready to explode into open conflict. The First narrowed his eyes as he handed the latest report to the messenger.

"Tell High Command to bring us to DEFCON 2, ready the military and have the other half of Battle Group Alpha be sent at a fair distance from the convoy group to ensure they are protected and to step in if need be. Also the divisions we have mobilized are to be sent with the convoy. It would seem we will need to send quite a bit of our resources over there to stabilize the situation."

The messenger nodded. "Yes sir."

As he left, Duncan received the telegram reply from the Oseato representative:

Dear First Duncan Loon,

I fully understand your feelings on this matter. The whole conflict is distasteful and horrible, though I am glad to know that other nations understand our current position. That being said, I would gladly welcome your troops and transports in evacuating the civilians and keeping the foreign powers from intervening. So do not be alarmed by the sudden activity in the Dominion. I look forward to ending this conflict as soon as possible.

Duncan could only watch thereafter as the nations of Stevid, Shatzbodom, and Void Templar state their anger and frustration at the situation. The Stevid government was sending some kind of inquisition to talk with the God-Emperor, and the Templar appeared to be sanctioning terrorism. Loon's eyes narrowed; there was enough devastation caused by terrorism and this nation was harboring some of them, even endorsing them?! This would not stand. He picked up the phone and contact ONI, the Office of Naval Intelligence. A voice picked up on the other line.

"Yes, First?"

"I take it you have heard the news of the Templar declaration?"

"Indeed, it's our job to know these things as they happen."

"Very well. Start preparing counter-terrorist cells and deploy them into Cukarica, and do it quietly. Any terrorist cells found of Templar origin or anything of the sort are to be terminated with extreme prejudice. The situation there is already fragile and adding in fanatics will not make things better."

As this was going on, the convoy fleet of transports, medical and food supplies, as well as the three mechanized divisions began to sail towards the nation of Cukarica, being escorted by a detachment of Battle Group Alpha. The ships began their long journey, with the transports being circled by the Dominion ships in a defensive formation. Recon patrols were sent out around the clock, to ensure they had the best idea if they were to fall under attack. Once the convoy had gotten out a certain distance, the other half of Alpha slipped out from the docks, seeking to follow the convoy and provide aid in case something went wrong.

The Birkanian reconnaissance satellite Kobal’t-4KSM orbited above the area where the naval battle was taking place. The video data was directly transmitted to the Birkanian Government’s higher-ups. An emergency meeting had been called to deal with the situation, which was as unexpected as it could get for the Birkanians.

“Tell me, what the hell is this supposed to mean!? When did I order our ships to fire!? For God’s sake we’re supposed to be on THEIR side!” President Yulianov slammed at the table with his fist. “And the squadron is not even supported by the rest of the 3rd fleet while I’m at it! We can’t afford to lose the Tretji Interregional!” He leaned back.

“Don’t forget the Oseatians started.” Said Admiral Lavrenty Prekofiev, then commander of the Birkanian Navy “Apparently the Sinij could not keep with their deadlines, so they started firing upon us and shot down our evacuation helicopters. Unacceptable. I say we pay them back in kind” He concluded. In the room nobody knew that the captain of the Birkanian Battleship had failed to comply with Oseatian orders because he was trying to get Cukarican refugees out.

“We are already paying them back in kind, but we can’t afford hostilities with Cukarica at this point. That would put us in a two on one situation, and unlike the Oseatians, they surpass our fleet’s firepower” The shadowy commander in chief of the Birkanian Air Force said in a videoconference screen. “I say we negotiate a ceasefire with the Cukaricans, and have the fleet deal with the Oseatians.”

“And to surrender to the Cukaricans? That’s an insult!” Another general shouted “I say we prepare the army! This has gone far enough!”

“What nonsense are you speaking… the Cukaricans gave us a group of valuable scientists, and we possibly can get more from that nation without even disembarking a single soldier there” The air force general said “After all, we gave them their gold. It would be a shame if we had directly financed an enemy, don’t you think?” He said with a smirk, and everybody fell silent.

“General Sviridov is right. I think we can negotiate a peaceful outcome with the Cukaricans that would make things easier for our fleet.” The Birkanian prime minister said “We can tolerate whatever sanction they impose on us, but not war. President Illic must be reminded of our neutrality towards him. As for the Oseatians, I could not care less for peace with them”

In the end they all agreed with the prime minister, including President Yulianov. The generals and politicians soon started to come up with a ceasefire document, which would be sent to the government of the Cukaricans.

OOC side note: AIM-54 missiles have a range of 115+ miles just to alert you to how far out I'm engaging your aircraft at.

The slow tomahawks were engaged in a close distance by a Ticonderoga-class cruiser's CIWS guns , but one of the Harpoons managed to get trough and blew off the whole tern of the ship, causing widespread fires onboard. However, one of the Birkanian submersible cruisers easily detected the noise of the missile launchs and the ballast tanks of the Ohios, and fired two Shkval guided supercavitating torpedies towards the submarine.

Twenty five Hy-13s that had been fitted with air-to-air missiles were sent by the commander to intercept the F-35s, and the Kirov battlecruisers readied their S-500 missiles for when the enemy aircraft got out of the Oseatian's air defense range.

One of the large battleships prepared its main guns to fire, and a few seconds later its massive batteries shot three enormous 20" shells at the enemy fleet. While it had fired them outside of common range, these were extended range munitions, using a rocket thruster to be able to hit the enemy ships. The RQ-9s flying miles above marked the enemy battleship with laser designators for the guided shells to follow.

Oseaton Counterbattery radars of the Oseaton Federal Army actually discovered the incoming shells before the SPY radars of the fleet did. However, with the help of the counterbattery radars the Oseaton ships were able to fire upon the incomming shells, some slamming directly into the enemy shells, some hitting the attached rocket thrusters. Eventually the shells were too large to destroy, though destroying the rocket thrusters helped. One shell landed near an Oseaton corvette and broke the back of the ship due to sheer concussion alone, another landed near a destroyer causing severe damage to the propulsion systems and several major dings in the hull. The last shell was hit by several missiles and failed to land near any Oseaton ship, throwing up a huge splash, but causing no damage.

Meanwhile, overhead the F-21's saw the Hy-13's coming to intercept the F-35's. At long range they fired two AIM-54 Phoenix missiles a piece, a total of 48 missiles in all. The missile quickly gained altitude as it reached Mach 5 and headed toward the incoming aircraft. The F-35's quickly fell back behind the fighter screen and retreated into the friendly AA coverage.

The Oseaton subs heard the two torpedoes coming, and all scattered from their launch zone. Unfortunately the torpedoes had locked onto a submarine and raced forward to hit it. The sub attempted everything to escape the torpedoes, firing off nixie noise makers, sudden changes in depth, eventually attempting to confuse the torpedo by conducting an emergency surface, nearly lifting the submarine clear out of the water. However one torpedo slammed into the submarine and detonated. Thanks to being on the surface many of the crew not killed in the blast were able to escape the rapidly sinking submarine.

OOC: I guessed. The shells have a range of about 180km, seeing they're basically bigass ERGMs for a gun type that already has 50km of original range.

The AWACS aircraft detected the missiles at long range, and in a daring strategy, the fighter launched anti-radiation missiles, which immediately went after the Phoenix's active radar seekers, and then the E-2s started jamming radar. Despite the countermeasures, most of the missiles managed to survive the HARM barrage and wiped out fifteen Birkanian aircraft, who fired a volley of R-33 missiles. Some of the Hy-13s fired one, other two, totaling twenty missiles going at the enemy fighter formation, their semi-active radars powered by the AWACSs and the distant fleet's radars.

As it became obvious that this wasn't going to be a quick victory, more UAVs were catapulted from the battleships and quickly ascended to provide additional targeting for the shells. While the ammount of missile capability in the two fleets was roughly equal, to the eyes of the Birkanians their fleets certainly could outgun them with artillery, and so the battleships resumed firing another volley of 14", 18.1", and 20" laser-guided ammunition fired from the KGV, Yamato and Muteki Nippon-class battleships respectively. This time 10 shells were shot at the enemy fleet, and more were being loaded into the other turrets. However, the enormous concussion from the cannons destroyed two round's guidance systems, so the number of rounds was reduced to eight.

Due to the vital role AWACS were playing in the confrontation, a ground-based A-50 aircraft was dispatched to the battle zone, and the ships prepared to start jamming radar frequencies once the air-to-air missiles had reached their target. Meanwhile, the submarines returned to the fleet after getting a kill, and then proceeded to go for the Oseatian fleet, to hunt down the damaged vessels.

Albrechtau was a small town in the middle of the vast Shwartzwald,isolated and secure it was a peaceful and happy town,mainly living on farming and woodcutting.
It's denizens were peaceful and friendly people and didn't dream that their small town was going to be razed by the vigorous Imperial Marines,who wanted to revenge their heretic "brethren" who met their gruesome fate in the Outpost no.543 .Unknowing of that and encircled by all sides,Albrechtau residents continued living their lives normally,until a Viking tank roared into the town square,followed by a company of marines.
Major of the small town walked out of his home in his casual outfit,and as soon as he approached the Marine officer,his brains were blown out by the CZ-99 pistol round.Man collapsed like a boulder on the ground with a huge hole i his forehead,and that was the start of the worst nightmare Albreachtau ever faced.
All through it's residents were ethnic Cukaricans the Marines didn't show any mercy to them,and it was obvious why,they turned into a bloodthirsty horde of murderers,criminals and rapists.Men and women wee separated from each other with the children thrown into pits Marines previously dug out.
Horrible screams traveled through the small town carried by the wind.
Decapitated and impaled bodies were scattered throughout the town,as it's 3000 inhabitants were slaughtered to revenge 40 criminals.Marines faced no resistance in the peaceful town,and they continiued their route singing and drinking,just like they won a great victory,but not against and enemy but against vermin,their sick view of their fellow countrymen and fellow human beings.

3rd Royal Fleet had passed the Oseaton ships by, showing they were not here to fight them but there were no signs 3rd Royal were going to listen to the demands of the Oseaton forces.

As the fleet went through the message from the Ragers was received.

"Sir what do we do? We are not CIS." asked one of the Comms officers as the message was replayed over the speakers.

"No we are not but when did that ever stop us from doing anything. Also Oseato, I believe are CIS so we should see them turn on the Cukarican's once the Birkaineian's leave. I want to scramble half of our fighters to get through this mess to the location of the Rangers and destroy any Imperialists they see. Understood?"

The message went down the chain of command and soon enough the F/A 18 Hornet's were taking off from the Aircraft carriers. They would meet resistance in the air, that was a given. How much was not known. The planes flew to their destiny, to help the rangers.

Meanwhile a message was sent to Oseato.


To Oseaton Forces,

Let our planes through. I'm sure you also received the message from the Ranger's. Do not fire upon our planes, we are no threat to you. If your nation is truly against these acts of barbarianism by Cukarican Imperialists then we will pass unharmed. Once the Birkaineians leave, turn your guns on the Cukarican ships. We will aid you.

Admiral Flavius was a proud officer and a veteran of the deceased Federal Navy,his heroic exploits were well know by all Cukaricans.His blockade of Erdut,assault on Nordfire,defense of Sans Semmes,made him one of the most valuable figures of the Federal Navy,and when the Empire was declared,he had rough time to accept the reality and work for the Emperor,but with his family taken away and killed by the Marines,he had nothing to fight for.Until now.
After hearing that the Federal Rangers have took up arms and that his long lasting friends,Drake and Rimmel are fighting against the current regime,he felt that he needed to do something for his country.
His main obstacle on his way to join the rebels was Inquisitor Heroldis,one of the worst Marine commanders,but his chance was near.
Heraldis and his men disembarked from the Imperial fleet and started an offensive against remnants of the rebel movement in the city,which was previously evacuated by the rebels to protect the civilian population from the bloody Marines.
Just as Heraldis took up his commanding position,shelling of the city began.
Longswords unleashed their entire arsenal,and aircraft carriers launched their airwings to harras the entrenched Marines,who didn't expect this treason from the Imperial Fleet.
Volleys of missiles flew towards the Marines,crashing down on them and exploding above their heads.
Now rebels had some serious firepower,and a base for future communications between foreign and CIS forces and the rebel movement deeper inland.

For the past several days the two marine divisions deployed to the Cukarian theatre had been busy transporting the remainder of the non-human refugees out of the country as well as giving the poor people human and non-human alike proper burials instead of the horrors of the few mass graves they found. However with that task completed the 50,000 strong task force turned their attention to the matter of the God-Emperor and his marines. It was a general consensus that the "God-Emperor" was a madman for putting his own people through such horrors and that for such crimes he should be punished and the men of the Wolf Hold Marine Corps were more than willing to be the men to punish him. So when the call for air support came from the rangers the Marines were more then happy to respond.

Camp Union

Camp Union consisted of tents, prefabricated huts, FMTV A1 R M1087 Modular vans configured for multiple functions and a makeshift airstrip with netted hangars. Stretching for three kilometres, the camp was a hive of activity as numerous men and women ran about attending to their duties. A particular focus of activity was around the JOC or Joint Operations Centre as a call for air support had just come in, even though it wasn't from a Wolf Hold unit, the scramble alarms were already ringing. Inside the JOC it was a scene of organised chaos.

"We got call for CAS by 47th Mountain, loyal to the old government, quick response fighters are launching, all other squadrons are moving to alert 5"

"We have four F-35s in the air, Callsigns Recoil 1 through to 4, all units be aware, federal units are TIC, all units near waypoints zulu and uniform are to proceeded to waypoint victor and prepare to reinforce Federal units."

"Acknowledged Recoil 1, your are 1-5 minutes out from the AO, we are contacting TACP now, your designated channel is victor-victor-charlie 5, over"

OOC: Technically in this scenario, Oseato seems to be the aggressor. Birkaine forces were extracting Birkaine citizens from Cukarica, Oseato demanded an immediate halt to evacuation operations, Birkaine stated they would be done in a couple of hours and then Oseato fired on Birkaine helicopters which were carrying civilians to a Birkaine vessel.

OOC: Well that shows that I need to pay much more attention to threads, that you are correct, and that I might have to start looking for less trigger-happy allies.

OOC: Let's get a few things straight, I responded to Cukarica, not to help the emperor but to stop random nations from becoming involved in combat operations. I began to allow countries to enter for humanitarian missions unless it was expressly against the wishes of Cukarica. When Birkaine conducted Air Operations and continued naval operations against the wishes of the Cukarican government, the Oseaton Fleet notified him he was to leave, more than once. The Oseaton Fleet repeated that it was quite serious about it and fired on his ships after the Birkaine fleet continually refused to leave. Following that attack Birkaine attacked the Oseaton fleet, Cukarica fired several thousand missiles at Birkaine. He continued attacks against the Oseaton fleet against the wishes of Cukarica and Cukarica's peace deal.

In the dark corridors of the shadowy palace,lurked a mysterious man,with his face covered with a mask he was unrecognizable to anyone that saw him.

Moving into the Chapel of the Holy Light,Well opened his briefcase and assembled his "Crna Strela"(Black Arrow) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zastava_M93_Black_Arrow) sniper and sat down next to the window overlooking the altar of Light where a ceremony involving the Emperor as head of church was going to a take place.
After waiting quietly in the shadows for hours,Well saw his target.
Emperor walked into the chapel followed by his personal Guardsmen,walked toward the Altar,Well took a deep breath and steadied his breathing,he knew he's not gonna get another chance of this,and that his aim is going to decide the fate of millions.
Carefully aiming,his sights were locked onto the Emperors golden crown,and in a brief few seconds a huge splash of blood happened.
Everyone in the chapel was surprised and unaware of what just happened,as one of the Guardsmen looked at the Emperor there was a huge part of his head missing and they immediately started an alarm.
Response units were sent to the attic to locate the assassin but when they got there,Well was already dead.
He took a cyanide pill just as his shot was confirmed,his body was burned on sight to prevent anyone from stealing it.
And several hours later newsflash followed....

As the news of the death of our beloved Emperor reached the rebel forces,they gained strength and managed to brake the perimeter put around area controlled by them,by the Imperial Marines,who are currently retreating in chaos.

Liberty and Justice,triumphed once again against Darkness and Evil,and the world has today been liberated of one evil,the false and murderous God-Emperor.That man who betrayed and coldblooded and without any remorse murdered his own people,his friends and allies,is now dead.One of our patriotic men,Senior Sergeant Well murdered the tyrant and gave his life for our glorious country.

However, the flagship Omen immediately got a telegram, informing that hostilities were over and that a new goverment had taken place.
"Wait, cease fire! All ships, cease fire!" Admiral Krakev ordered. It took severl minutes for the batteries to be silenced "I said, cease fire at once!"
They expected the Oseatians to do the same. Otherwise, they would have no problem with continuing the shelling. In fact, the Birkanians used the time to elevate additional aircrafts into the flight decks of carriers and cruisers. It could very well be just a false alarm, and they weren't going to let their guard down. The first officer of the supercarrier used the silence to broadcast the news

Due to the previous leader and goverment of Cukarica and its dependencies not surviving to respond our ceasefire confirmation request, the reparation funds will not be transferred to Cukarica.

However, we do congratulate the rebels for overthrowing the hostile and treacherous goverment that tried to cowardly backstab us. The Birkanian fleets currently in Cukarican waters would not have survived if it weren't for the heroic efforts of the Cukarican people. Thus, we formally request the authorization to name one of our forthcomming vessels in honor of the great man who ended the life of the so-called God-Emperor.

Our forces will begin retreating from Cukarican water as soon as they're able to.

Admiral Becker noticed the shelling stopped and ordered his ships to do the same. "Recall the strike aircraft, but keep a few planes overhead as protection in case anything lights off again."

However, at that moment the broadcast from the Birkanian fleet came over the net. Becker nearly laughed as he heard it. He quickly responded.

"Dear Captain, I must inform you, the Oseaton military IS the government. If you're thinking of undermining it, I suggest you try a different tactic. You're lucky we are compassionate and will spare your fleet from further conflict, but in the future, may I suggest you learn something about the opposing government and their forces before spouting off nonsense? Inform your government that if it intends to violate the soveirgnty of an Oseaton ally again, they'll have a much larger conflict on their hands. In the mean time, have a nice withdrawal."

After broadcasting the message, Becker sat in his command chair and sighed. The last Birkanian salvo had severely damaged the battleship ONS Jackson Hunter as well as destroyed a destroyer and frigate. Survivors were being pulled from the water as he sat there. Several destroyers would escort the wounded battleship back to the port of Comberth in Oseato for repairs and refit. The battleship and those like her would be up-gunned thanks to the lessons of the recent naval battle. Preparations were underway for the departure of the Oseaton ground forces once the country was fully pacified and the Senate returned to power.

While captain Krakev would have wanted to continue broadcasting propaganda, his battleship was ordered to escort the flagships back to Birkanian land.
"No use fighting more. Enough for today." Admiral Marakhov said "All ships, mid power. Adjuste your bearing to 120 and follow the next three waypoints. Our original mission has been accomplished, gentlemen, we're coming home."
One of the helicopter pilots intervened.

<<This is Kentavr 12, we've completed our patrol. There's nobody left to rescue here. Out>>

The helicopters returned to their ships with the survivors from the sunken vessels. After some time, the last ships left Cukarican waters and rejoined with the main body of the 3rd fleet, that was en route to help in case things got worse. The battleships would return and be celebrated in Birkaine, and their success would make the Birkanian Navy even more battleship-centered, although no upgrade was made to the ships, seeing they had an excelling performance already.
The refugees onboard the ships weren't allowed to return to Cukarica despite the old goverment had been overthrown and were permanently repatriated to Birkaine, and the Cukarican scientists brought onboard would help Birkaine with several of its weaponry projects.

Recoil 1, now approaching M-632

As the four F-35s pulled about to line up along the direction of the road, all four of the pilots simultaneously armed their weapons. The brimstone AGMs beginning to lock onto there targets, as well as the pilots lining up to drop their bombs. The marine convoy didn't stand a chance.

"Recoil 1 to recoil flight, weapons hot, fire at will, light these inhumane bastards up. Rifle 1"

The brimstone AGMs shot of the hard points of the F-35s heading straight for the marines tanks, following up behind the brimstones, came the F-35s themselves, dropping to a low altitude they unleashed the remainder of their armaments.

"Recoil 1, 540s away!"

"Recoil 2, 1000 pounder away"

"Recoil 3, rockets away, target lased"

"Recoil 4, J-DAM, J-DAM J-DAM!"

In total their was 12 brimstone AGMs, 4 540ilbs bombs, 2 1000lbs bombs, 72 2.75 inch rockets and one Joint Direct Attack Munition.

We don't need any money for your treacherous acts against our country and it's allies.
Also your request for ship's name is denied as we don't want to see a foreign power use our greatest heroes name for their propaganda purposes.

The horrified and exhausted Imperial Marines didn't believe that this disaster happened to them.
They were hunted down by the Directorate and knew that every one of them is going to be processed in the War-crime tribunal and hanged for their gruesome crimes against humanity.
But now,they had much more things to worry about,as Wolf Holdian aircraft pounded them from the air.
Bombs and missiles fell all around them hitting the ammunition carrying vehicles and destroying most of the column.Once the pride of the Imperium was reduced by rubble either by Wolf Holdian air strikes or Directorate's artillery barrages.
Even a small tactical nuke exploded as the vehicle carrying it was hit by a 2.75 inch missile.That explosion tool out most of the remaining Marines who were trying to fight of constant assaults by the Directorate's troops.
After the battle was finished there were no Marines alive,and a force of 30000 men was reduced to 0.A 100% death rate showed that Directorate troops got their revenge for killed friends,families and countrymen.
The evil was finally vanquished,bu at a terrible toll:
Around 2 million people dead or missing,200 000 moved out of their homes and a huge damage done to the Henzburg infrastructure.
