The F&L Type 08 is the new standard issue assault rifle of the Anacreon Military to replace the ageing Type 03 Rifles (http://world.guns.ru/assault/hk416-1.jpg). The Type 08 is one of the most durable and accurate rifles ever made to survive harsh Anacreonian Jungles and Australiazian deserts.

Background

The United Anacreon military used the Type 03 rifle but never considered it for export and decided to arm its forces with Type 03 rifles in late 2004. The Anacreonian military in late 2007 decided to arm itself with a new rifle to equip its gargantuan armed forces. The Type 08 Rifle was born and many were used in the recent Anacreon Conflict in Cape Salisbury and Australiazia and were proven to be one of the most durable and accurate rifles ever made.

Overview

The Type 08 Assault Rifle that has been through at least 130 rigorous tests of all terrain and weather, including mountains, forests and deserts, and one large scale war. The Type is a gas operated rifle, it is magazine fed, it carries 30 rounds. It is usually fired from the shoulder. It is made from impact resistant polymer and it is a modular weapon. Any former NATO equipment such as laser sights and optics can be used with the type 08.
It fires new 5.8x42mm rounds, but it can be replaced with 7.62x51mm NATO rounds if needed which makes it a battle rifle in this instance. We also offer an export version with a 5.56mm NATO round but the 5.8mm round is far more accurate and effective

The rifle has been proven in all situations from desert, jungle, arctic and urban. It's use during the Anacreon war led many ORNA forces to name it the widowmaker.

OOC:

Roller delayed blow back is bit of a horrible choice for the mechanism of a small calibre high velocity (SCHV) assault rifle as HK discovered. Such a weapon will always be heavier and significantly more expensive than a comparible gas operated rifle and has been shown to have reliability issues even with old school HK levels of build quality. Weight wise try adding a KG to both you weight values. Cost wise try about $2000+ the cost of the optics.

Or you could go with a decent short stroke gas mechanism using multi lug rotary locking like all the cool kids have.Then you can have things like proper adjustable folding stocks.

In regard to the write up no rifle is going to be accurate from the hip, esspecially one so light. Changing to 7.62x51mm roudns would result in a totally different gun about the only part common to such a conversion kit would be the pistol grip and possibly the stock...

You max range is going to be about 400m you would need to be firing a proper intermediate round or be using a full sized barrel to get any more.

Finally try not to mix metric and imperial figures, use one or the other or give both for every value.

Sorry to be so down on your design but witha few changes it would be quite good, all you need now is a custom picture...
