The G9A7 Assault Rifle is the first released assault rifle in an upcoming family of assault rifles, pistols and carbines designed and produced by FlareFire Arms. It is currently in use by the Garmidian Army and Marines and is now being released for purchase. The G9A7 is a precision fire weapon, part of Garmidia's new PLACPP (Precision Lightweight Assault, Carbine and Pistol Program) that has first developed the G9A7.

Background

The G9A7 was developed to replace the Garmidian designed LK-80 Assault Rifle, and as part of the Garmidian PLACPP Defense Program. The LK-80 is being phased out, and the G9A7 is being brought in, and it is already used by most of the Army and by the Garmidian Marines. Design began early 2007 by FlareFire Arms, and the first prototype was unveiled on April 15, 2008. The first rifles were delivered to the Garmidian Marines in late 2008 and hence the LK-80 is being phased out.

Overview

The G9A7 is a sturdy Assault Rifle that has been through at least 70 rigorous tests of all terrain and weather, including mountains, forests and deserts. The G9A7 is a gas-operated rifle, it is magazine fed, it carries 30 rounds, it is air-cooled and has selective fire. It is usually fired from the shoulder but is also very accurate from the hip. It has a detachable silencer and it comes with a Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight, and also can have laser sights attached to it, as well as an M203 Grenade Launcher.

It fires standard 5.56x45mm NATO rounds, but it can be replaced with 7.62x51mm NATO rounds if wanted, which makes it a battle rifle in this instance.

The rifle has been proven in all situations from desert fighting to urban fighting and close-quarters combat. It has had over 70 rigorous tests from 2007 - 2008, during the design and can have many SOPMOD accessories added to it.

The Nation of Sutufinai inquires if this weapon comes with a Solid stock, and a longer barrel. If solid stocks are unavailable, are Crane stocks available?

[[I hate to burst your bubble, but even stockless, M-16/M-4 series weapons have a protuberance due to their construction and action. Ever notice how all M4/M16 skeleton stocks have a cylindrical part to them? That'd be due to that. THerefore, your weapon is physically impossible, seeing as it uses an M16 firing mechanism.]]

Stabistan: Well we don't know for sure, for all we know it could be an OA-93 or ZM LR-300 mechanism hiding in there. Heck we don't even know if its DI.

The picture does show a folding stock but the stats don't support that, isntead they seem to indicate a adjsutable M4 style stock. Of course it is also odd that the overall length value is in imperial inchs when the rest is metric.

When you mention that it can be changed to use 7.62x51mm ammo you really should make it clear what needs to be changed in this case the feed well and the entire upper receiver/barrel assembly (assuming M16 style modularity).

As for the range value, well you have a 5.56mm carbine which would make 400m a push...

Price wise try closer to $800-1000 for the rifle alone.
