"Recorders all working normal" The first Techie added "40 seconds"
The Next 40 seconds past in silence until suddenly a extremely bright flash could be seen. Seconds later a immense sound reached them. Looking up they could see the beginnings of a mushroom cloud.

"Yes Mr President, that's correct, at or around 20 kilotons" Jenny said into her phone as her motorcade headed back to the capital.
"When will I have full report?" Kyle Watson asked back in the Capital.
"By tomorrow afternoon at the earliest" Jenny replied before pausing "Worried about international response?"
"We're well within our rights to test Nuclear devices" Kyle replied, "We'll be fine"

"Abnormal nuclear readings in Lingards, sir..." started Sarah Harchester, a regular bureaucrat at Coleraine as she looked at some readings from Lingards, talking via a secure telephone unit to Charles Ryan, a fellow regular bureaucrat in the Hellenic. "Looks like their testing something nuclear."

Coleraine was a town in southern Athanes which housed the headquarters of the Athanic Intelligence Agency, the main foreign intelligence service of Athanes. Harchester was looking at some readings from Lingards, suggesting a nuclear test or a power plant going boom. It looked more like a nuclear weapon testing to her.

"Understood Sarah, I'll put this on CRITICAL," came the voice from the other end. CRITICAL meant that it would be viewed by President Falkland in about five minutes if all went expected.

The readings came to Charles via fax. He grabbed the pages about the readings as soon as they came out of the machine, exited his office and started on a brisk walk to the President's Office. In about five minutes, he was there.

Falkland was there, sipping a cup of tea while reading over some documents, probably about Tunala, the Spurlocks or some other godforsaken place. Charles started speaking immediately, kicking himself for having forgetton to knock.

"Mister President, I have some intelligence hear which suggests that the Lingardians are conducting nuclear tests," Charles said, handing Harry Falkland the pages.

Falkland looked over them, his reading glasses still on. He sighed, and thanked Charles for bringing him the readings and, after a few minutes of discussion, he dismissed Charles.

Falkland walked into the secretaries' office, four young women who could type like no one else could type. "Yvonne, I need you to type me up a communication to those radioactive Lingardians."

The Federation of Athanes is disappointed by the alledged nuclear tests taking place in Lingards, which our intelligence services discovered with abnormal nuclear readings coming from the country you govern. Athanes is fiercely against nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction, and we would encourage Lingards to end these tests.

While we would encourage Lingards to pursue the option of nuclear power, we seriously disencourage with the production of nuclear arms. Nuclear weapons will only further threaten the world's future, rather than assist the future. Athanes feels that if Lingards continues these tests, that we could not place our confidence in Lingards, and we would be forced to pull out our citizens out of Lingards and cut off any ties whatsoever we may have with Lingards until the end of these nuclear tests.

Athanes hopes Lingards will listen to the voice of humanity and end these nuclear tests as soon as possible.

The Federation reserves the right to posses Nuclear weapons as a detterent against any agressors who may wish to use weapons against us. The Federation will continue to develop Nuclear weapons and Power plants

Athanes is heavily disappointed by Lingards' response, and we are angered that yet another nation has succumbed to the temptation of developing weapons of mass destruction. Our national airliner, AMA, will be dealing with transporting our citizens baxk to Athanes.

All of our few ties have been severed with Lingards as of now. We hope Lingards will stop their nuclear arms development sooner rather than later so ties can be restarted between our states.

We do not encourage it, yet we do not discourage it because we find it has little to do with the Vamperial Kingdom and including her colonies. However, I would like to state we have a right to defend our colonies and the Lynion Islands. Nevertheless, we trust you to be responsible with the testing but we are willing to trade you uranian deposits only if you use them on nuclear power plants.

The offer is open but we not harbour, create or encourage the use of nuclear warheads.
