Kormanthor will start researching possible designs for a Research Vessel capable of decending into Jovian ( Jupiter ) like Atmospheres for exploration and discovery.
For many centuries we have only used probes of various designes to explore
planets similiar to Jupiter in the Sol System. During our centuries of Space Travel we have discovered numerous similiar planets in various systems and now intend to build a vessel that can effectively support and protect manned exploration of these planets.

We note that at the tech level of Kormanthor, such a question should really be irrelevant. An Imperial-class star destroyer can shrug off megatons of thermonuclear bombs exploding on the hull, and in fact can perform limited sundives. Any spacecraft on the same tech level should be capable of easily entering the athmosphere of a Jovian-type planet.

I'm sure it could, however a Imperial-class star destroyer is kinda overkill
for exploring a planet. While it is possible that a ship exploring this type of planet might run into something that might require the use of weapons and / or defenses I just think a Star Destroyer could be put to better use elsewhere. That said, it doesn't rule out my incorporating technology from a Star Destroyer or any other technology I currently possess into a Research Vessel that specializes in exploration of Jovian type planets. I figure that I can build differant versions for the various tech levels which will give me a new product to sell on my store fronts if nothing else.

Beyond that there is some liquid air technology I want to introduce here too, which should help in extremely high pressure atmospheres / environments.

Another idea I have is using this technology to build high tech bases & star gates capable of successfully surviving in the lower depths of Jovian type planets. That way
they are not out in the open for just anyone to discover.

We would like to announce our success of developing a Jovian Research Vessel
