OOC: This thread is for IC stuff only;this is the ONLY OOC post in this thread, to clear some stuff up. Anyone wishing to join or give input should post in the OOC thread, you can enter a team, as sign up is not yet closed, or RP journalists covering the tournament.

I will indicate when sign up is closed. We need at least 8 teams (multiples from countries, not necessarily as national teams, if necessary,), and preferrably 16 if possible.

Scoring is not the important thing here; a good RP is, and godmoding is not permitted. That said, we will not be using a special system to decide scoring; see OOC thread for details.

The OOC thread is here. (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=591512)

So far, those signed-up are as follows:

Teams:

Takaram
Sorsk
Fatatatutti
Selassie del Ethiopia
The Fanboyists

Those already signed up may make their introductory posts; also, on the OOC thread, please say if you want to have more than one team.

Introduction:

The International Hockey Federation 2009 Tournament has been long due to take place in the city of Oslo, Scandanavia Province, in the Federation of North Atlantic Territories. The city has been prepared, and its already large hockey arena has been transformed into a veritable complex devoted to the sport.

And it was to this icy mecca that two teams that had faced each other earlier that year came.

The Zagreb Wolves, led by Olin Pejorsek, came as the Federal National team, representing the host country.

But fallen titan Copenhagen came for one reason only.

Revenge. Plain and simple. Being beaten by upstart Zagreb earlier in the year had been humiliating, so coming here to compete as an independent team was the ultimate chance to get their own back: not only could they reassert their place as national Fanboyist champion, but they could assert their rightful place as world champions as well.

Our team is an all-girls team that was formed for a tournament in Falkasia that never materialized. None of them had ever skated on ice before Falkasia and none of them has ever played a game on ice. However, they all have experience with in-line skating and some have experience with in-line hockey. I'm confident that we've had enough practice time by now that we won't embarass ourselves.

The girls - Erica, Debbie, Alex, Fabien, Kelly and Zandy - will introduce themselves later. For now, we'd all just like to thank the IHF for giving us the opportunity to play.

OOC: Argh! If y'all weren't interested, you shouldn't have told me you were.

The bumping will continue until you tell me you aren't interested (to the people that signed-up) or posts improve.

Debbie Gershon picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Hi, Debs. It's me."

"Hi, Fab. What can I do for you?"

"Have you heard anything more about this tournament in, where is it? the Fanboyists?"

"No. When I hear anything, you'll hear it too."

"I think they're all afraid to play against girls."

"Probably. Whatever the reason, every tournament we enter seems to go belly up."

"Maybe we should all wear moustaches."

"I think Coach's moustache is big enough for all of us. Hey, what are you doing for supper? I'm going to barbecue."

"I have a date. Can I bring him?"

"Sure. Do I know him?"

"Maybe. It isn't that big of an island."

"Okay. About six? Bring your stick. Maybe we can have a pickup game on the street."

"I'm on my way. Bye, mom."

"Bye, kid."

ooc: Sorry, I've been sort of busy with too many other threads but I have time now

From: Joseph Hurley, Head Coach, Takaram National Hockey Team

The Takaram 'Pit Bulls', composed of Matthew and Liam Anders, Harold Scott, Charles Crenwick, Lawrence Salters, and James Sammut, would like to say hello in advance. While Takaram doesn't have much of a hockey industry, we do have a few skilled players, the best of whom we pick to join our international team. We wish all of our competators luck in the rink.
