Skies over Northern New British Shores
Flight Lieutenant Thomas Murray piloted his Typhoon over the Northern Mountains with ease. The Sun was just dropping behind the Mountains, sending rays of sunlight across the landscape. this is was Thomas loved most about the Air Force, the chance to fly a fantastic aircraft over outstanding landscapes.
Thomas was just reaching the end of his patrol and was about to turn back his Radar picked up another aircraft slipping it's way between peaks.
"Ballsy" Thomas muttered as he watched the aircraft barely advoid hitting the mountainside. Flipping a switch he contacted home base.
"Ghost Rider to Tower Of Guard, Got a bogey on my scopes, anything your need to tell me? He asked.
"Negative Ghost Rider, no RAF or friendly aircraft expected" RAF Tower Of Guard responded
"Understood, I'm gonna go and check it out, I'll let you know" Thomas said before turning his Typhoon into a bank after the Unidentified aircraft. He chased it through the Mountains, soon on it's tail, he flipped a switch and attempted to contact them.
"Unidentified aircraft, this is the Republic Air Force, please Identify yourselves and your intentions" Thomas said.
There was no response from the aircraft and they continued their deadly chase through the Mountains. Until the Aircraft suddenly began to move more evasively and Thomas lost sight of it.
"Damn, where'd he go" He asked himself as he looked all around. He soon got his answer, the Missile Lock buzzer began to sound and he turned to see the other jet on his tail. He quickly switched to his radio and began evasive.
"Ghost Rider to Tower Of Guard, I have been engaged!" Thomas reported frantically as the other jet fired a Missile. He quickly pulled a High-G turn, barely avoiding both the Missile, thanks to Countermeasures and a Mountainside.
"Roger Ghost Rider, you are authrorised to return fire"
The dogfight went on for several minutes before Thomas was able to get back behind his enemy, very close behind and fired an AIM-120 at the enemy jet. At the close range the Missile easily hit the enemy, the resulting explosion sent shrapnel into Thomas's fuselage.
"Tower of guard, enemy down, repeat enemy down" Tom reported "I've taken damage though, seems to have ruptured by fuel lines"
"Ghost Rider, can you return to base?"
"Negative, Ghost Rider is going down repeat Ghost Rider is going down" Thomas said as the rear of his aircraft caught fire "Punching out, twelve miles northwest of Waypoint 9"
With that Thomas yanked on the handle and the ejector seat pushed him safely out of the cockpit, down towards the mountainside.
