No, just that most of us here cannot reply immediately in most cases. Myself, I can usually fit in about three or four rounds of posting a day, and that's if I'm not doing anything else offline.

I know, it just seems a bit unnerving when you post and it goes silent after it's been nice and rollicking all day. lol

I'm coming up with my response as we speak. Which basically includes lots of weapons targeting and fancy alarm noises.

Ouch, and here I hate to stifle new creativity, however I need to object to a couple points in your post.

First, TRIAD is *very* new on the galactic scene, and originates from another universe. It's unlikely anyone would recognize them outside for what is being established in four first contact threads (this being one of those).
Second, TRIAD has claimed only one system so far. They don't really have any space for your guys to be sneaking around in.

Other than those points, I like your intro.

Ah, right. Sorry about that. ;) My faction is mainly geared towards Espionage instead of combat. And if they were here, they'd be pretty much sneaking in everywhere. Would you like me to edit my post?

Just alter the mentions of TRIAD or being in their space before. This is going to be a first contact for TRIAD for everyone here. Other than that, it's peachy.

Technonaut spheres just so happen to have that and quite a few other sensors but for the sake of the rp, we could say that they were damaged by the collision...

Truthfully? It don't matter. =) If it was of any major importance I'd whine about it. But it's cool. We can claim... The Gunners were tracking the nearest and largest threats.

Behold, Sutufinai Space Navy Gato Class K stealthship.

The Gato K Class, is armed with AMS/anti Fighter systems which are the small guns along the main deck. The "Main Guns" at the larger weapons to the Fore and Aft of the Conning Tower.

The Gravitic Engines have no "Outward Thrusters", the thrusters on the aft of the ship are in fact the Ion Engines.

The only sign of the gravitic engines are the Nodes which had been designed as the grey openings alongside the sides of the Ship. (The Outlets/Inlets used for the ballast tanks on the real Gato.)

The Bridge has no actual Windows, and is situated in the center of the ship, the "Safest" place in the narrow "Deathtrap" you can consider the light stealth ship. The "Periscope" and other items you would see on a normal submarine have infact been replaced with communications and sensor booms.

You can also see the Launch tubes for the Hyper-Velocity Torpedeos. Please note that while this is a side view, you may consider it a mirror image and there are infact three bow tubes on the other side and two stern tubes on the other side. Coming up with a total of 10 Tubes. All of which are capable of firing independantly of one another.

This multiple tube arrangement and the rather dangerous nature of Sutfen Torpedeos allows a rather large spread of exceptionally deadly torpedeos to be launched at enemy ships. This hefty Firepower readily balances a Gato's weaknesses as the torpedoes are more than capable of Disabling a Supercarrier or Dreadnought.

This lends to why Sutfen operate on a stealth theory, quick decisive strikes against the enemy combatants and then drift away into the shadows for another try later on. While enemy Anti-Stealth Warfare (Comically, ASW), if adept enough, can most certainly counter Sutfen stealth attacks or atleast lessen the brunt... Sutfen have been known to operate true attack units in Wolfpacks of the Stealth Vessels rather than operating them alone as they do with Espionage or Scout vessels.

Personally, I'm more curious about the Sutufinai species itself, though knowing more about your techbase would be cool too. I love the anachronism in the "submarine" styled ship!

Technonaut, could you describe how the Ava is projected? Trek-style holograms or something similar? Is there any known form of carrier signal that could be detected? Finally, are the Technonaut similar to the Borg, in they've a collective or semi-collective conciousness?

At the moment, I'm thinking the Ava is projected by hacking the nearest hologram projector on the target ship, upgrading its software and a few other systems then projecting the Ava if that is not available for some reason then a tech wank signal is projected that can somehow create a solid object. Either way certain shielding can block or distort the signal. Since the Master is speaking through the Ava yes there would be a carrier signal back and forth.(sensor data and various other data to the Master and speech and other commands to the Ava). The Ava program is also semi-sentient on its own right so if it can set up and the signal is later cut it will still exist for a time and carry out the last orders it received.(and if your going to try a virus trick, the console the Master is using is only for Ava programs and is not directly connected to any other systems.)

As for consciousness, hmm well each drone has it own set of rules/programming/sentience/"consciousness" but the Overmind and/or the Master can override almost any and all of them at any time they so choose(expect a Master can't override the Overmind and vice versa)(there are also a few other rare cases but that shouldn't pop up in this rp), all data received by the individual drones can also be broadcast to the Overmind/Master as needed though for the most part information is kept in the individual drones and only uploaded once they go down for maintenance/sleep.

Actually the closest parallel I can think of to the Technonaut in an established work of fiction would be the hive in Frank Herbert's Hellstrom's Hive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellstrom%27s_Hive) with a mixture of various other works of fictions bad guys combined for good measure..

Techno, up to you what happens to the Enkidu-facet. It's only mission is to attempt counter-intrusion and report what it finds on the other end of the Ava's connection.

As for the Ava itself, the hologram emmitters on the Dream are damaged, and couldn't support any kind of 'solid hologram' anyway. So for now the Ava is just that, an insubstantial image.
