Because I haven't done much beyond posting in embassy threads since coming to II, my old NS stuff has a lot of fantasy elements and inconsistencies in the past I no longer want to roll with, and I have yet to make any major commitments on this forum, I am considering just restarting my RP cold. I'm posting OOC first to give people notice and to see if anyone has any major objections. Also, anyone who has outgoing plotlines they want to continue, let me know and we can work them into the new RP.

Please define "restarting RP cold". Abt is kind of tied to the Confederation and so is Taraskovya, albeit less than the Republic. So I am quite curious.

You may find that the new start gives you storylines you hadn't considered. It might give you a fresh way of looking at the same characters if you use the same ones you did before.

I resumed RPing after a long absence, though I killed my eponymous character. Later, I decided to use a RP'd population, which is interesting given how large my navy was under my previous guise. If I had the same number of ships now, my entire population wouldn't be enough to fill all of them.

I don't see why someone would have a problem with your re-start. Just create a new thread and start with something else. People who want to RP with you will do so. Those who don't won't.

Restarting completely as though I just logged in for the first time today. Would you like to keep some plotlines? You haven't played Abt in ages.

Of course I haven't played Abt in ages. I was in the army for what appeared to me as ages :o

But I guess the answer clarifies it all.

Ah. Welcome back. You weren't the only one absent, though. None of our old peeps have posted in forever leaving most of those plotlines to die. I am open to working something out if you want.

I find it a pity to do a clean restart with TRD after you've put so much work into it. At any rate, as far as Abt is concerned, there is nothing preventing you from taking it with you into the "new reality". The nation is modern/post-modern tech anyway. We can always work something out. I'd hate Abt go to waste, as I've put quite a lot of effort into that army of wiki of theirs... :o

As far as Taraskovya is concerned, I guess the most ties were through Helen, who in turn poses another problem as Panto has vanished in the depths of real life. Apparently, the "Vasilessa Curse" is real. Three players have provided characters, each and everyone have vanished into real life. I guess that the "Vasilessa Curse" is like a powerful detox against internet addiction :D

Hmmm...Maybe I left Abt take all that land in the Marlund War but didn't take any myself. So Abt has the same territory, some neighboring terra nullius, and some unsympathetic, fascistic neighbors to take out its expansionist tendencies on.

That can be an idea and Abt's "fortress mentality" could really prosper in this case. But what would be the ties between "reloaded" Abt and a reloaded TRD then?

I hope the restart goes well. I can erase all previous relations our nations had without too much problem.

I always wanted to RP beyond our embassy exchange, but a reboot would be great too.
