Raw material shortage=immenent invasion

Louis Blackwell

As the last lump of coal was thrown into the power plant, Louis Blackwell was out of coal, a current blockade has left the island nation stranded on its own, short on food, the country as suffered day after day of continual 24/7 bombings, even the prestigous navy couldnt lift the blockade and all the bombings on important military buildings, Louis is on Red alert for an invasion of its country by former ally Kerpolvic, it's citizens hungry, its communications down, Louis Blackwell needs you!!!

This is my first post and i wasn't entirely sure what to do, but i think thats it.

Nine Battlehawk Navy Ships approached the Blockade, escorting a Trio Of Supply ships packed with Raw Materiels and food the Escort composed of. Four Argo Class cruiser and 5 Avenger Class Destroyers.

The Expeditionary Force was returning from exercises with its European colony. Admiral Davout had been warned of the conflict in the Louis Blackwell area so he was sailing well clear of the war zone.

As he stood watching the radar and digital screens that portrayed the Louis Blackwell area he heard over the international network.

"Attention Blockade, our intentions are to supply the nation of Louis Blackwell. Any attempt to stop our ships will be considered an act of war, you have been warned"

Turning to the radio operator he asked

"Where did that originate from"?

The Combat Ops commander typed commands into his keyboard and up on the digital screen zoomed in a fleet of 9 ships.

The Ops commander, Commander Stan Parkinson said

Its a Blackhawk Fleet sir, it seems to be challenging the blockade.

The Admiral was familiar with the Blackhawks as rechburg had been involved in a small action supporting them several years ago. He remembers very well the parties he "experienced" following that victory.

"OK get this away to Naval Headquarters and encrypt it",

Have identified a Blackhawk naval force apparently intent on challenging the
Kerpolvic blockade around Louis Blackwater. We are in a position to assist if required, requesting instructions"

Now send this to the commander aboard the Blackhawk Fleet

"Attention Commander Blackhawk Fleet,
This is Admiral Davout of the Rechburg Expeditionary fleet currently 125 miles to the south of you, do you require assistance"?

The Admiral sat back in his chair and waited to see what unfolds.

"Admiral, this is Commador Munro of the RBS Responder, our need for assistance is unknown at this time, it depends on whether the Blockade attempts to stop us, we do have reinforcements in the area but they are nearly 300 Nautical Miles away" Alex replied to the Rechburg admiral.

ooc: I'll just put the sub in right now for observation. I might get more involved later. And this is really a minor thing, but when coal is being burnt in a power plant, it has already been crushed into a fine powder, not left in lumps. But don't worry about it.

The Seawolf-class attack submarine TNS Low Blow had been ordered to observe the blockade of Louis Blackwell. So far, there had been little to observe, but now it looked like things were about to heat up. Commander John Powers' irritation at being woken instantly dissipated as he saw the Battlehawk fleet approaching.
"Should we announce our presence to the Battlehawk fleet, sir?" asked the comm officer.
"Not yet. I'd rather we were unseen for the time being." Replied Powers.

The Birkanian submersible cruiser (http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll31/DemonLordRazgriz/TatumIIClassSSCGN-1.png?t=1239829302) K-75 neared the area, also ordered to monitor the situation. They were unwary of the Takaramian sub close to them, and continued their scans of the surface activity. They didn't hope to see any action at all, but anything involving resource trade was of Birkanian interest.
"This is K-75" The captain, a veteran by the name of Natalya Gourdinov said trough an encrypted comms channel "Nothing new to report. Things are as always"

The submarine started to rise up at pericope depth, gradually emptying its ballast tanks and going at a slow but steady pace to the surface.

"Comms operator, request for further orders" She said, lowering the persicope.

"So many sea vessels...inefficient," Logister Maccrum noted. Orders from the Senate were that the nation of Lewis Blackwell was to be aided financially. It made sense, as a number of trade agreements had been made in the past between them and the Empire. Most of them were now forgotten, but it was the job of a Logister to keep records. Reading over the inventories, he pressed his signet ring into the pad and handed it to the co-pilot of the vessel fueling up before him.

Why send slow vehicles when airlifts have always been more efficient? They had saved countless lives in modern warfare, especially during the second world war. With that logic, most Imperial shipping was done strictly by air in one form or another. Only the largest cargoes were sent by land or sea, but this wasn't the case. As the electric turbines of the craft whined he could, even through the artificially gusting winds, smell the ships load.

Coal. Tons of it. The Empire had little need for the rock since the advent of green technology. It seemed strange that such a cruel-appearing place would be environmentally conscious, but it was, as Maccrum noted smiling, more efficient. As such, coal stores were abundent since most of them had been untouched for the past decade, although much of it now was being exported to other nations still sweltering in the age of fossil fuels. Of course, mercantilism wasn't the only thing the Empire sought.

Ships from some unknown force had brought about a blockade on the nation, keeping most other nations at bay, preventing them from aiding in the economic disaster befalling the land. Luckily, their massive guns and shining missiles would be of little use against Imperial aircraft. As long as their nose-mounted cannons had enough ammunition to ward off missile attacks, then there was little for their pilots to fear. Of course, some almost hoped for attacks to happen.

Should this unknown force choose to pick a fight with the Empire, it would be a dire affair for them, although Maccrum knew it would mean many a headache as far as getting things sent out was concerned. His head throbbed as he brought up the prospect, and returned to his vehicle, satisfied that the Empire had done its part so far.

A near-by Bohovian Warship was aware of these events, the crew contacted the BDM (Bohovian Defence Military) to request permission to intervene. After permission was granted, they sent out a message that could be heard by all the ships in the area, the transmission was blocked off to the ships blockading, the message said,

"This is Bohovian Warship 443, we are aware of the blockade situation there are 4 other Bohovian Warships within a 150km radius, that are on their way to the blockade, the ships are heavily armed with rockets, grenades and soliders. We are giving a heads up to the ships of are arrival, if any ship has an objection please mesage us back, otherwize we will start the negoations with the blockaders and possibly attack them, if they deicide to stay put."

OOC: The OP didn't suggest that a leisurely wait for ships is in order. The problem was caused by a naval blockade so no, they can't "afford to wait" for that to magically disappear. And they can't "afford to wait" while you look for coupons for the cheapest fuel. Certainly, a long-term solution requires ships but the short-term emergency requires aircraft.

"Anything new?" Lieutenant Cardiston asked.

The sonar operator shook his head.

"Let me know if it gets busy."

"Aye."

Cardiston turned to the First Officer. "Fuel situation?"

"We have enough for home if we don't spend too much time pussy-footing around here."

"Where's the nearest depot ship?"

"If we stay here another day, we can still make the Holland."

Cardsiton smiled. "Pussy-footing it is, then."

The First Officer made a note on his clipboard. "I'll let you know when we're running on empty," he said, sardonically.

(OOC: Holy cow, I didn't mean to start a firestorm guys. By the way, the ships aren't going one by one, there are regular 'fleets' of ships, each moving about eighty to one hundred tons of coal at a time. Also, the guns aren't offensive 'Cobra' style guns, they're more akin to the CIWS, but smaller. Thanks to all those who supported the Imperial effort :D )

"Marshall, we have recently been reviewing oppurtunities for furthur expansion by sifting through close regional confrontations and have found a situation in which we may prove valuable." Adjunct Wallenstein saluted and handed over the information pad to the Air Marshall. For a few moments silence remained in the room. Not even the sound of a pin could be heard.

"Very good." Marshall King continued to read. "Excellent in fact. We can easily turn this to our advantage." He kept his eyes down until he had skimmed the entire report. "Tell me Adjunct, what would you do in my position?"

"Mobilize the Luftwaffe and annihilate all aiding forces from reaching there destination the-" He was quickly cut off.

"Wrong. It will be much more efficient to send in vew stealth aircraft to attack vessels from either side. If done carefully both sides will kill eachother and let us send in the Armada to clean up the pitiful mess that will be left." The Marshall corrected the adjunct with practiced ease. "Of course your idea is BETTER mind you, our air power could simply wipe everything off the map, including the blockade, and we could be hailed as the saviors of this puny nation. But then we will have a whole new group of enemies that will call for aid from the Corprate Alliance to fend us off." The adjunct remained quiet. Marshall King knew full well that his adjuncts plan was more likly to work, but it would cause quite a stir in the Imperial Palace if word of a private, unsupported war spread. "Send in 12 B-2 Stealth Bombers. Arm them with anti-ship missiles and give no declerations of war. Simply attack."

"Yes Marshall." Wallenstein stood at attention and saluted.

"And one more thing." The Marshall began. "Tell them to focus on the Battlehawk vessels." He gave a form of evil smirk.

The formation of B-2's was in no hurry. They would take all percautions in this situation and even if identified as Shakal craft, could even be kept safe by the fact that if action was taken against them the full might of the Shakal Wehrmacht would be brought upon the perpetrator of the crime. Take off began several minutes later...

Deck of the RJS Jon Arbuckle, a few nautical miles from the Battlehawk fleet.

Hayden Wipler, captain of the RJS Jon Arbuckle, sat twiddling his thumbs in a comfortable chair at the head of the ship. The air was rather calm - there was none of the electric energy and searing hot gas that usually accompanied a fleet the size of that of the Battlehawk, and Hayden was thankful for it. The white flag of peace flew gracefully on top of one of the control towers, and would hopefully remain there. Bored, he turned to the skipper, William Tyjvick, and asked him whether or not he would like to play a good game of chess; Tyjvick replied that they had better not, and resume to their regular duties.
Finding no relief from his boredom from the skipper, Hayden rose and walked off to check on what it was that the rest of the crew was doing. They were all at their posts, in groups of two, idly chatting away about the latest magazines featuring women in a state of undress, or something of the sort, and he decided that it would be best not to become engaged in such a conversation; after all, he did have a wife.
He looked out using his binoculars at the large Battlehawk fleet, picked up his radio, and decided to inform the Naval Base about the current situation.

"Wipler here, Jon Arbuckle, OHPF-018PO."
"018PO go ahead."
"We've just got sighting of a biiiig fleet belonging to the Battlehawk, nothin' much else seems to be happening."
"Thank you 018PO, that's been noted. Anything else?"
"Negative. 018PO out."

At roughly thirty thousand feet the air was calm. The formation of B-2 bombers only had to close within some 500km of there targets before getting the hell out of there. The advanced guided anti-ship missiles would take it from there. As the time ticked away the crews became more and more aprehensive. They had been told to focus on the Battlehawk fleet, but a minor problem had chinked the plan. Enemy vessels were on either side of the Battlehawk fleet and would detect the aircraft before they got in range. The plan had been changed. Now the closest enemy was priority, that was the fleet of the nation of Reijvajik.

As soon as the formation got in range they fired off two cruise anti-ship missiles each and headed back to base with each aiming for an enemy ship. All that was left to do now was wait.

The Starfish had run low on fuel once before, 'low' being a euphemism for 'sucking nothing but air'. Cardiston was the butt of many jokes for having to have jugs of diesel air-dropped to him - surely one of the oddest refuelings ever attempted in naval history. But he had gotten the information he was sent for. Daring submarine commanders were hard to come by and nothing short of losing the boat was likely to lose him his command.

He lay back in his bunk, pretending to read even though nobody was watching.

"Captain?"

Cardiston rolled out of his bunk instinctively. There was no door, not even a curtain, on his 'cabin' - it was really just an alcove - but the yeoman's appearance always surprised him. Gotta put a bell on that guy, he said to himself. "Yeoman?"

"Sonar reports many contacts, Captain."

Cardiston glanced at his watch as he padded down the corridor barefoot. "Sonar report," he said as he threaded himself through the watertight door to the control room.

"Half a dozen ships or more, coming from two directions."

"Size? Speed?"

"Can't tell much at this distance, Captain."

"Everybody sends a battlegroup," Cardiston said, more to himself than anybody else. "Is Fatatatutti the only sane country on earth?"

"Is that a rhetorical question?" the First Officer muttered.

"Periscope depth." These were the moments that Cardiston liked least, listening to the Diving Officer give the long string of detailed orders that brought the boat slowly into position.

There wasn't much to look at in the control room. There was no point in second-guessing the people at the controls, though he knew their jobs almost as well as they did. Interfering with them in some detail would only throw off the Diving Officer's rhythm, not to mention undermining her authority.

So he picked a spot and stared at it, as if thinking about what his next move would be. But he didn't know what his next move would be until he got a good view through the periscope. Part of being a daring commander was not planning too far ahead. And part of being a commander of any kind was convincing your crew that you knew what you were doing even when you didn't.

"Periscope depth."

"Up periscope." Cardiston stepped up to the scope and adjusted the eyepiece, swung around once and then slapped the handles back into their 'up' position. "Down periscope. Dive to fifty meters."

"Fifty meters, aye."

He stepped over to the chart table. "We won't get through the blockade again. Those yahoos are just itching to blaze away at anything that moves." The blockade covered mostly the major ports where major ships could be off-loaded. The Starfish had avoided those and slipped in and out several times, past the patrols. They were interested in big cargo ships, so they weren't looking for a little submarine with barely enough fuel for its own needs. The Starfish had cosied up to fishing boats and pleasure boats so close that he could have kicked them. He could have put a party ashore if there was any reason to do so.

But there would be no more of that. All those boys with big expensive toys would blow an innocent little submarine out of the water without pausing to ask questions first. He pitied the poor fools who were supposedly on their side and had to endure their splattering of ordnance on a daily basis. It was probably safer being their enemy.

He turned around. "Mr. Christian." He loved using that tone on the First Officer and he loved the fact that the First Officer hated it. "Make for Fatatatutti, at your convenience." Christian really wasn't a bad fellow, though he wasn't the best match for a hot-shot Captain (or was he? from the flotilla commander's viewpoint). The 'at your convenience' gave him the con and, more importantly, his dignity.

"Fatatatutti, aye."

Lieutenant Smith ducked through the small opening of the watertight door again and padded silently toward his quarters, aware of the cold deck on his bare feet.

"Sir, the fleet is in position."

Admiral Hanson peered at the multi-national fleets ahead, " Thank you, Ensign Richey. Please send a message to Headquarters, We are in position."

"Aye, Sir!" The Ensign replied quickly and then promptly left for the communications room.

"So many ships..." Captain Rondon looked up from the surface radar screen," Do they really think the blockade will hold?"

" Maybe they know something we don't...." Hanson replied.

"Expecting trouble, Sir?"

"Always." The Admiral said as he began to head for the Communications Room. Just as he took his first step the klaxons began to scream.

"VAMPIRE, VAMPIRE, VAMPIRE!!!!" Screamed the Fleet Air Defense Officer, " I have incoming ASM's. Hanson ran to the console as the Captain used the P.A. to sound General Quarters.

"Are they heading for us?"

"Yes sir, and they also seem to be heading towards the Reijvajik Fleet." The FADO answered, his eyes glued to his screen.

"Captain, warn the other Nations ships, and tell our Ships to begin evasion and CIWS activation."

"Yes, Admiral!" Already the other Tutlingburg Ships began to move, all trying not to collide. On all ships the RAM launchers turned to face the incoming threat.

" Sirs, at least three are targeted on our fleet," The FADO reported as the first missile shot out of its launcher followed by three others form the other Tutlingburg ships. The first round missed completely, and exploded just behind the three ASM's. The ships kept firing, until they ran out. Finally, the last round took out two incomings, leaving only one targeted on to the TNS Enterprise.

"Admiral, the last one is heading for the Enterprise." The FADO said as calmly as he could.

" I see it son, it is god's hands now."

The Enterprise continued to evade, but it was for naught. The ASM struck the Nimble class ship, tearing through it just above the waterline. She began to take on a vast amount of water, and listed to one side. Sailors began to jump off and swim for safety, 145 men would not make it.

" Signal HQ, tell them we have begin attacked by an unknown air force, and have lost the Enterprise." Admiral Hanson somberly said. The Captain nodded and left. Admiral Hanson rose and looked out the windows, at the ongoing rescue operations.

"Who did this, sir?" The young, pale-faced helmsman asked weakly.

Hanson put his hand on the helmsman's shoulder," I don't know, but when we find out, they will pay for this......"

Aboard the RJS Jon Arbuckle

"What the fuck?"
The captain was obviously enraged. And he had right to be: he had done nothing to threaten any nation, and had made a special point of flying a white flag above each of the frigates. Then again, he had no idea why his ships were being bombed, moreover, he had no idea who was bombing his ships, but such things would have to be left for later. The frigates were like sheep in a paddock, and the enemy the wild, rampaging rabid wolf. The fleet of five activated all of their engines, and quickly turned around and sprinted - as fast as they could - back to Reijian waters, all the while shooting at the incoming cruise missiles. One frigate was sunk - the RJS Tinkerbell - and its crew jumped into the flaming water in their inflatable jackets, waiting for some form of assistance, as the rest of the fleet tried to make a quick escape.

On board the "twinkletoes" a E2 hawkeye AWAC aircraft, radar operator Tom Hamilton was eagerly awaiting a change of shift.
All morning he had marvelled at the growing number of ships converging on
the blockade area, some were simply observing not unlike the Rechburg Fleet and others clearly intent on getting into harms way.
He had been warned to keep Blackhawk fleet under close watch, thus he had just finished a sweep over Blackhawk supply ships.

Looking up he noticed his relief coming, so he reached for keyboard to type in his time key when all off a sudden he saw several blips on the radar.
It was odd because they were quite close into the ships around the blockade area and were not previously noticed, it was as if they just appeared out of nowhere.

Tom Hamilton was a veteran of the Rechburg navy,it was no accident that he and the rest of the crew of "twinkletoes" were holders of the "Ducal AWAC trophy", they were quite simply the best of the best.

Immediately understanding what that sudden blip was, he called into his throat mic his systems chief. The chief also had noticed the blips and leaned over Toms chair, almost at once they both said,
"Stealth aircraft"

Then smaller blips which were clearly missiles igniting, Tom reported to to his captain which was also reported directly to the bridge of Admiral Davout back on the CVN Blaise.

"Vampire, Vampire, multiple missile launch at 310 degrees 75 miles, we are tracking in excess of 10 plus vampires, heading on a course of 52 degrees"

Back on board The "Blaise" everyone immediately focused all systems on the missile launch sight.
Commander Randy Everson the Combat Systems commander immediately ordered a full scan on the launch sight.

"I want a full low frequency sweep on that location, also I want infra red satellite imaging on that location, those birds will be leaving a heat footprint, I want that footprint checked with all types of stealth aircraft, also i want a high frequency Doppler radar report on my desk yesterday."
Commander Everson new the High frequency Doppler will show the wind swirls emitting from the aircraft and they will give a fairly accurate indication of speed and direction of the aircraft."

Admiral Davout came on line from up on the bridge.

"What have you got for me commander"?

"Admiral sir, we are running a full systems check now, but for now we know the launch sight is 15 degrees and 100 miles from us, so we are not its targets".

The Admiral came back online

"I don't give a shit who the target is commander, I want to know what arsehole attack those ships">

Commander Everson drew a long breath

"Admiral we will be able to tell you what type of aircraft and how many, but there is no way we can tell the who, we need aircraft up there to do that".

"Affirmative commander, just give me those reading ASAP"

Admiral Davout then instructed his air-chief to send the 3 fighters escorting the AWACS aircraft off to the launch site and to get some replacements up there damn quickly.
He also ordered the fleet to full alert and asked the surtass ships some 200 miles behind to run checks for submarines, since the Surtass could detect a whale farting at 500 plus miles he was certain they would detect submarines at half that distance.

He turned to his communications chief,

We recommend you consider purchasing some of our CS-14 cargo submarines, among the many useful products in our catalog (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=587171). While an order placed now would not be completed for two or three years, given the lengthy process that is shipbuilding, this would give your government a future capacity for trade if such a blockade is ever reinstated. Naturally, we would not expect you to pay immediately, given your current economic straits; an installment plan, or even deferring payment until delivery, is perfectly acceptable.

If we get enough support before we rebuild our own army this will be much appreciated, as victory gains shall help fund this. Any country helping will get a share of the prize in terrain or money, given their preference.
Kerpolvic is a very rich nation with a stunning army and navy, and their Air force is pretty good too, so some pre-invasion preperations will be needed.

The submarine cruiser started to head towards the surface, entering a collision course with the still-undetected Starfish.
"I recommend we take their side instead. After all, the country that started this has resources that could be of use, according to Ct. Marakov's report." She continued speaking over the encrypted comms.

Miles away, the generals and admirals of the Birkanian armed forces were having a meeting. Birkaine was also having its resources depleted, and invading Kerpolvic would be an acceptable gamble to gain a few extra resources. The Birkanian 3rd fleet was ordered to alter its course and head towards the two countries, then prepare for further orders. A few Whidbley Island-class amphibious assault ships loaded with troops and vehicles were added to the usual formation of the fleet.

"Captain?"

Lieutenant Cardiston rolled out of his bunk. "What?"

"Sonar reports contact."

"A new one?"

"Yes."

Cardiston frowned all the way down the corridor and into the control room. "Sonar report."

"One contact, astern, approximate collision course. Submerged, I think."

"Ahead full."

"Ahead full, aye."

"Battery condition?" Cardiston hung his left hand from a valve wheel overhead.

"One hour at flank," the First Officer read from his clipboard.

Cardiston turned to the sonar operator. "Ping 'im. Let's see if he's got ears on."

"Ping, aye."

Cardiston reached for the intercom microphone. "All hands, all hands. Action stations."

There were sounds of movement all around but Cardiston paid little attention. The crew were well-enough trained to take their stations without having their hands held.

"Stand by countermeasures."

"Countermeasures, aye."

Cardiston adopted his patented stare-into-space and waited. Unless the intruder was hostile - or a complete idiot - he'd turn away.

"After all, it is my solemn du-" The captain was continuing her monotonous speech to the upper ranks of the Navy.
"Captain! We've got a sonar ping?" The sonar operator said.
"Another one?"
"Captain, this one is far closer. I think we've detected another submarine right in front of us!" The sonar operator said. "It's been confirmed! We're about to smash right into them!"
"What!? Full reverse speed! Hard rudder, port side!" She shouted "Brace for impact!"

The lumbering submarine couldn't maneuver far enough, although it avoided a direct collision that would have probably sunk both vessels. Instead, the port side of the Birkanian vessel collided with the starboard side of the Starfish. Both crews heard a deafening screech produced by the two hulls, and several minor leaks appeared on both submarines. Just in case, the Birkanian submarine pinged back.

Lieutenant Cardiston was thrown off his feet by the impact. He pulled himelf up by the back of the sonar operator's chair as he heard the First Officer calling for damage reports. "Surface."

"Surface, aye."

The First Officer approached with his omnipresent clipboard. "Damage reports minor, Captain. Some minor leaks. All equipment functioning."

"Thank you, Mr. Christian." He dropped the mocking tone this time. "Have the surface party stand ready with the battle flag." Draping the big Fatatatutian flag over the side of the tower was the standard way of identiying themselves. Hopefully, it would establish them as non-hostile.

Cardiston climbed the ladder up into the tower and waited for the leader of the surface party to crack the hatch. He was the last one up. It was sunny but chilly, at least compared to the confined interior of the boat. He leaned over the starboard side but couldn't see any sign of the impact. There were some bubbles in the water where the intruder might have been but otherwise, no sign. "Where is that Sunday driver?" he muttered to himself.

"Captain?"

"What?"

"Did you say something?"

"No. I was just wondering where the other boat is. I hope we didn't sink him."

The captain of the K-75 was also thrown off her feet, and the lights flickered around the boat until everybody

"Surface, dammit! I'm gonna fill them full of depth charges!" The captain said, enraged. After a few minutes, the behemoth submarine emerged, although without intention of dropping depth charges. A surface party also went to the coning tower when the ship finished its overly spectacular and needless emergency surfacing. However, their flag fell back to the sea. At least the large Birkanian emblem and the 2.-inch dual turrets on the side and the prow respectively made up for that.

The captain got outside and looked at the side of the submarine, from which most of the paint had been scratched off.

"Loud-hailer." Lieutenant Cardiston looked across at the huge submarine that dwarfed his little diesel boat. He took the louder-hailer from the Second Lookout and said, "Starfish, out of Fatatatutti. Why don't you watch where you're going?"

"The vehicle in front has the right of way," Cardiston said calmly. The intruder's captain was a woman, so most of the comments he would normally have made were not anatomically applicable. "Now, if you you can keep from crashing into anything for the next few minutes, we'd like to be heading home."

The S3B Viking was just dropping another line of sonar buoys, they had just completed a North South run and preparing for East West line when Sonar Operator Tom Pemberton grabbed the earphones away from his ears

"Jesus H Christ, we have a collision, east and very close to buoy 3, I'm damned if know what they hit, but it has to be a whale or another sub".

The operator next to him had also heard the din, but with more experience than his partner he confirmed

"Sir its a collision with another sub"

The Viking was direct linked to the Combat room on board the CVN Blaise. Admiral Davout was watching the large digital screen,

"So we have these stealth aircraft over to the west sneaking away" he pointed to the Doppler image of the wind trails left by the yet unknown attackers.

"All we know about them is the heat and wind footprints have been matched with B2 stealth bombers, so to start I want every nation that has B2's listed up on my panel; that should short list quite a few. Then check with satellites and see if we can confirm any one that may have launched recently, its a longshot but its all we have got".

He then returned his glance back to the panel with the blinking light marking the point of collision between the two submarines.

"Now to add to the puzzle we have 2 subs crashing into each other, bloody marvelous how an innocent blockade draws so much attention, even to the point where we have ships bumping into each other".

The Admiral turned to the operator beside him

"How's the Blackhawk ships doing" he asked?

"They have broken through the blockade sir", the seaman replied.

The Admiral rose from his chair as he saw his aide approach with a message in hand. Taking it from the hands of Lieutenant Commander Nelson he opened the message headed Top Secret.

Cardiston was tempted to say, 'Sneaking is our business,' but he thought better of it. Instead, he said, "Fair weather and pleasant sailing, Captain." He picked up the Intercom microphone. "Control room."

"Control room."

"Start diesels. Ahead one-third."

"Captain, we have a leak...."

"Put a pan under it. It want to put some distance between us and that hot-rod before we take a good look at the damage."

"Aye aye, Captain. Ahead one-third."

The diesels coughed and puffed black smoke before starting. I wish they wouldn't do that, Cardiston said to himself. That's what came from putting locomotive engines in a submarine. He leaned back against the cold steel of the bridge and watched the intruder recede slowly behind. The figures on the bridge still seemed to be shouting and shaking their fists.

He slid down the ladder into the control room. "Give me a hailing frequency," he said. He picked up the microphone. "Attention all ships. Attention all ships. This is Lieutenant Cardiston in the Starfish out of Fatatatutti. We are not hostile, repeat not hostile. We are leaving the area on the surface, repeat we are leaving the area. "GET ME THE TORPEDO ROO-" The captain had to be grabbed by her fellow officers from preventing her to... well, preventing her from doing something to the submarine that was already a mile away.
"Easy there. Besides, we had finished our mission already anyways. It's not like we have structural damage or anything" The first officer said. "Umm... we'll continue the trip surfaced, I won't want to run into any more lurkers down there."

A whole compliment of sailors came out with black paint buckets and brushes as the nuclear cruiser started to slowly move again. The captain swore her vengeance would come. Maybe a Shkval. Just one.
Gladly for everyone, she was temporarily declared unfit for duty and was taken to her quarters.

"Take her in to port." The Admiral growled, then hung up. He turned towards the cummunications officer.

"Yes, Sir!"

(OOC: I'd like to clarify something. The Imperial Craft I keep lauding about aren't fixed-wing aircraft. Think something similar to the Hunter Killer ships from the original Terminator, but much less militant.)

"Heading at three-five-five, sir," the bleary-eyed navigator muttered.

"So noted, continue on course to Louis Blackwell." The whine of the engines outside, although mostly dampened by the thick padding surrounding the cockpit, was still enough to keep the two men awake, even though this was now their fifteenth hour flying from the Empire to Blackwell. The flights had been going non-stop, with more than two hundred heavy-lifters shipping tons of worthless, smelly black rocks to some worthless, smelly country. At least that's how Captain Yerwen saw it. He would much rather be shipping raw materials from site to site back in the Capitol rather than flying over a crowded ocean dodging B-52's. There had been three near-collisions yesterday, although he was sure that wouldn't be on the comm-net. 'Charity of the Empire!' some papers said, 'Co-existance and cooperation!' said others. He had heard all of the bantering propaganda and, while it did grudgingly put a little bit of pride in him that he was part of such and undertaking, he was still upset at this menial task. A blip on the sensors caused the navigator to crack open his drooping eyes.

"Another bomber?"

"Probably. Frag-head's on a collision course, so just move up two degrees and we'll be fine." The slightest of increases in pressure told the men that the maneuver had been completed, allowing the navigator to continue studying the back of his eyelids. Another blip, followed by the illumination of a red warning light ended his nap. "Name of..." a klaxon blared, startling the men bolt-straight into their seats. Picking up his headset, the navigator began hailing the ship which had, according to their sensors, just attempted to acquire a missile lock.

"...or this will be regarded as an act of war, do you copy? Captain, I'm getting nothing. I'm sending out a distress signal, maybe we can get the Air...oh God in heaven." The Captain turned his head. A number of identical looking hails flashed onto the navigator's screen.

"Captain, these hails are from other freighters, someone's got them locked, too." He gritted his teeth. His service in Air Command had shown him what was happening.

"Let me see that ships approach vector," the navigator swung his screen about, "release cargo, prepare for evasion." The wiry man gave him a dumbfounded look. Noticing that his controls were still sluggish, he looked over again, staring with fire. "Four hells, man, do you want me to blow your face off right here? Drop the fragging coal!" A number of buttons and alarms later, and the craft jerked up, the sudden release of tons of coal causing the no longer overstressed engines to shoot the now-smaller ship up. The rise was to be short lived as the silver, dart shaped craft dived down before evening out a hundred feet above the water, the turbojets causing a massive spray to follow in its' wake.

"Ever here about the Amity Flights, boy?"

"It was required reading at Flight Indoctrination, sir." This brought a savage grin onto the captain's face.

"Well then, prepare for a little re-education." The small man went ghost-white. The Amity Flights were a number of drop-operations conducted by the Empire thirty years ago that saw the birth of dozens of hero pilots, as well as the death of hundreds of brave captains in the lead-choked skies above Amity. Knowing full well the Empire's dependence on aerial insertions, rebel groups attempting to gain control of Amity set up thousands of anti-air and flak batteries to prevent Imperial footholds from being made. Air Command saw its highest losses in decades in that operation, although there were tales of captains who survived and still flew for the Empire to this day.

"That enemy still on us?" The navigator squeaked out his affirmative, when a missile launch warning sounded out. "Alright boy, now you're going to see how I got out of there alive." As he said this, he jerked the control stick left, causing the ship to jink out of the way of the missile at the last moment, which exploded in the water harmlessly. The navigator's face beamed and he nearly shouted out,

"Captain, the ship's breaking off!" A moment later, the Captain's smile reversed, and his grip on the controls tightened.

"He's not breaking off, navi. He's coming around for another go." True to the captain's predictions, the enemy ship slewed about in a circle, now going much slower than before. "How long before we get to the nearest Imperial interdictor?"

"Twenty minutes."

"That's too long." The craft explained its slow approach speed as a hail of armor-piercing bullets sprayed out of its nose-mounted cannon, narrowly missing the freighter, and sending a wall of splashed-up water towards the ship. It was too slow. The freighter, even devoid of its payload, was still ponderously slow compared to the troop transports he was accustomed to. The next round of fire was far more accurate, strafing the rear of the ship, and arcing to hit the right rotor assembly. Smoke belched out of the doomed engine, and then the rotors, jarred loose of their housings exploded inside of their former containers, obliterating the left wing of the freighter. As the ships other wing tried vainly to keep the doomed craft aloft, the captain issued a swift salute to his navigator.

"Boy, if we live through this, I expect you to learn something out of it."

"What, sir?"

"Keep your head down." As he said this, he flipped a lever at the side of his seat and pulled it out. With and ear-bursting explosion, the armored glass of the cockpit blew off the hull. The two occupants barely had enough time to feel the whip of the ocean spray before two jets hurtled them out of the freighter, launching them at phenomenal speeds skywards. A second or two later, and a pair of large, black and white parachutes burst out from behind them and, as they watched their former vessel sink into the murky blue, the jet that had nearly killed them roared by. The Captain threw a vulgar hand gesture towards the plane, and questioned the pilot's mother's fidelity.

"Can't kill me that easy, frag for brains!" A moment later, and the two seats splashed into the ocean. "Well, that was as fun as all get out, eh?" The navigator was stunned speechless. Off in the distance, the Imperial interdictor Mortuus could be seen, its crew alerted by both the distress signal, and the emergency beacons housed in their floating seats. "Always wanted to spend some time at sea. Guess now I got my chance."

As Mr.jenkins and his wife leant over the wireless, they heard Emperor Blackwell's latest speech " Our dear Berkaine and The Battlehawk not only aided us in our time of need, but have chosen to further our victories and the ultimate dismisal of the Kerp Government, Our boys will be taking back what was once so rightfully ours." There was a knock on the door, mr.jenkins went to answer, the man gave him a letter and made off.
The letter disclosed,
Mr.jenkins you are to be taken tonight, clear the asparagus for ours boys to land.

Top government officials were discussing the invasion plans.
" If we send our marines, this will provide a launch pad for our paras to whisk into Kadax, We will rely on Berkaine and The Battlehawk to provide heavy naval fire on Lubeck and Gradistan, the small town of Rupilsk will be carpet bombed followed by a quick landing of marines. After this Paras will be landed in Gradistan soon followed by Marines, If the allies provide sufficient General Infantry to mop up. We will try to avoid using mechanized vehicles as the roads are few in number and the surrounding area is marsh and dense woodland. If need be will provide battle tanks. Air support will be given from our aircraft carriers offshore as needed by infantry." The paras and marines will be flying to Manumnus then again to Boddington, here they will set off on their Expedition. Gentlemen and Women, We cannot, CANNOT, afford to lose this godforsaken war.

Waves splashed against the hull of the Machiavelli, laying a fine layer of sea spray on the landing deck. The dull hum of the ships reactor was slowly being drowned out by a thudding roar. Ten thousand boots marched with parade-ground precision as the men and women of 8th Regiment, 5th Division embarked onto their gunships, a humming battle-chant coursing through the ship.

War was coming, that much was certain. Imperial commanders had made the emergency declaration after two flights of Zakuvian freighters had been shot from the sky, claiming a dozen lives. Battle plans laid out by Louis Blackwell were studied by Imperial logisters, and the final course of action was decided.

The ship, box-like in shape, now began to almost disintegrate as dozens of ports opened in its hull, exposing the interior of the vessel to the cold morning air. From deeply red-hued bays, swarms of gunships erupted from the vessel, as five thousand Imperial soldiers and specialists made their way to the north-eastern shore of the enemy.

The captain sat on the center of the bridge of the largest Birkanian vessel afloat. He smirked, seeing his mighty fleet outnumber the stars, at least to him.

"Well done, comrades" The captain said trough the loudspeakers "Many have tried to defeat us, and all of them have been shown what our allmighty willpower can do. This is no different, comrades! They have nothing else for us to fear! Today, we will fight aganist the Kerpovilcian invader, who have oppressed the Wellian people, but more importantly, they are who hold the key to our motherland's survival! I will not lie to you, gentlemen. We will fight for their resources today. Only by saving Birkaine will you be able to truly die in glory!" He said, the loudspeakers blaring trough the fleet along with the battle chants of the Birkanian armored and infantry batallions onboard the ships.

"To all allied forces participating in the invasion of Kerpovilc. Our forces shall take the southeast coast" The captain continued, this time trough an encrypted radio set "We will move to the eastern coast and assault the Kardax Penninsula from both north and south with ambphibious forces. After heavy bombardment of the enemy coastline, our armor will start to push from both sides to link up and secure a perimeter, while our air force neutralizes local threats and deal with enemy infantry. Aboard the Shakal aircraft the mood was elated, but somber. It was not the way of the Empire to attack without warning, but following orders was paramount to the security of the billions of Shakal citizens. No doubt one of the nations involved in this would detect there presence, but by the time aircraft were scrambled the bombers would be long gone, or at least gone enough that they would be protected by friendly aircraft. The mission was a success, now dozens more ships would be sent to the area only to be wiped clean off the map by the Shakal Kriegsmarine clearing the way for a nice happy invasion.

"Marshall, if it were not for your decandes of unwavering service to the Empire you would be dead." The Reichsmarschall was furious. He had been informed of the unwarranted attack by his Air Marshall. "Never before has the Empire seen such treachery!" He continued pacing. The reasoning behind the attack was solid. Derrick could not deny that. It not only gave the Shakal Kriegsmarine a chance to reclaim some of the glory it had los tin the Great Regional War, but open up new markets to the vast stores of Shakal goods.

"We can easily win this war." said Johann Von Toller, the head of the Shakal Luftwaffe. "While the means in this case are worthy of death King has given us an oppurtunity to crush several enemies with a relative ease."

"As much as I hate to admit it Reichsmarschall, I am inclined to agree with my fellow arm commanders." Model was not a greatly outspoken man, so with his word came a strength unfelt previously to the arguement. "I can mobilize the men and have tens of millions ready to attack as soon as the order is given."

"You men have put me in a dangerous position." Derrick said looking out the window at the military port of the capital, already brimming with thousands of lives loading vessels. "I have no doubt on our abilities to win this war, but I cannot easily forgive this treachery. It undermines exactly what I am made to stand for." He continued as the partially cloudy sky obscured some of the suns bright rays. "We shall commence Operation Felix immediatly. Prepare the nation, we go to war." An approving clap spread through the war room as the orders were given. It was time the Shakal took a more agressive stance.

The five hundred meter long deck of the supercarrier dwarfed the escorts that had begun to gather. Vessels were preparing to commence an attack the like of which had never been seen before. Hundreds of vessels would use this oppurtunity to showcase the destructive poer of a nation at war. The ship slowly cruised forward at the center of its protective screen.

PRIORITY ONE MESAGE TO ALL NATIONS CONCERNED

This is a formal warning. Any nation that chooses to defy the power of the Shakal Empire will face the full might of the Kriegsmarine. All those that surrender now will be treated with mercy and allowed to live. All those that choose to defy shall perish.

No Death Without Victory.

OOC: Awesome. A number rusher. What side are you on, anyways?

OOC:My own at the moment, but people can side with me if they want. My fleet is a LOOOOOONG ways from rushing, I plan to wait for around at least a few RP days before they head out, my last post was more that small contingent heading to join up with the larger fleet. :P

OOC: I meant rushing in the sense that you sent a disproportionate, monstrous number of troops to the war. I can understand wanting to have a slight numerical advantage, but does it really need to be 100.000 to 1? That steals the fun from it. We don't want a numerical war, we'd inevitably lose.

"Sir, we've got an oncoming non-encrypted transmission" One of the many operators onboard the Omen said, before he was ordered to play the message.

The captain and leader of the fleet, Admiral Konstantin Barkov didn't enter the fit of rage the officers were expecting, but instead decided to lean back on his seat with an amused smile as the message was played trough

"Give me the radio. Let's give them their answer"

"This is Admiral Konstantin Barkov of the great Birkanian Navy to Shakalian forces. I communicate that we will not surrender to your country; our brave men are already prepared to lay out their lives in the name of our glorious nation and our great leader, and no enemy will be too big to deter us from our noble cause. Kerpolvic is ours, and we will not let it fall into the hands of another enemy when their capital burns.
If you are willing to fight for it then do, by all means, but prepare for inevitable misery to be inflicted upon your armies like you've never seen before! Onwards comrades, up into the unremmiting battle! For Birkaine, for our great leader! Not one step back!"

OOC: and by beating fixed-winged aircraft I meant they are far worse.

"Listen to them. Barking like whelping pups when they haven't a single soldier strong enough to face a one of ours. Not even a billion people to their entire nation and they would engage in such self-destructive sabre-rattling." Commander Argus Tannik said, gripping the holster of his pistol tightly. The man standing next to him on the deck of the Machiavelli was emotionless.

"One could say that you're no better, willing to leap into their hungry jaws." The far larger man turned on him, more than two hundred pounds of tensed muscle bearing down on him.

"You talk eloquently, High Commander, but if actions speak louder than words, then our guns could be quite loquacious. We could wipe them away with but a single glance of our cannons. The Fleets should convene on this place and wipe the Birkaine off the face of history, yet all we do is send in our troops, helping a nation too weak to fend for itself. I fear for the Empire, if this is to be our future: aiding the weak when by all means they should be culled and made way for greater powers." The High Commander regarded him with a sneer, and jabbed his hand at him, his fingers tightly grouped, and struck a nerve bundle above the officer's thigh, sending a paralyzing shock throughout his body that sent him crumpling to the floor. A sharp kick to the stomach brought him out of the painful spasms, and he coughed loudly, refilling his deflated lungs.

"Never forget, Argus, that although the prey is smaller and by all means weaker, they may still hold the power to bring us to our knees. Every attack has a counter, no matter how strong. The true test of being a true leader of the Empire is being able to wait until that counter may be found. Remember this, and you will not die." He turned away, leaving the soldier to clench at his sides, moving back into the bowels of the ship to oversee the ensuing mission.

Mr.Jenkins ran across the road, the bomb was placed in the communication tower, 5 slow seconds went by and it went up in flames,a large explosion took place, shaking the whole ground. Local spys broadcasted the speech back to the Wellian officials.
" We expect an invasion by the Wellians and their allies, we shall conscript every man over the age of 16 capable of fighting, they are to report immediatly to their local miltia group, Citizens are encouraged to fight till they can fight no longer, The wellians are weak, however unlike us,they have friends. The latest recon pictures were delivered to the wellian officials,
" The buggers, how did they find this intelligence, it looks to me like the enemy has heavily fortified the Kadax shores, and a 150+ strong garrison on the Kerp oil rig, looking at the roads they have a Tank divison on the way to gradistan, and various AA gun divisons in all the cities, Lubeck is the most lightly defended area however a Motorized Infantry division on standby in the neigbouring port. Our tactics will seriously have to be revised."

The officials later added, " We shall have to establish a firm beach head at Lubeck, we shall have to bring a Motorized Battalion to take on the Kerp Tanks, they will be aided by our Ground Attack planes, if we can first establish the western side of the river, and get our bombers to blow the bridges sky high, we can cut off the eastern side. We must avoid hitting the Oil rig, however the Marines there will probably destroy it before we take it anyway.

OOC: Could we perhaps have at least 2 nations supporting kerpolvic, but sending no more than 5 ships, 7500 soldiers, squadron of planes, and a battalion of motorized vehicles each, Im going to make it pretty hard to get kerpolvic anyway and if we win kerpolvic will have to be divived between 8 countries :S

"This is our day, comrades!" Admiral Barkov concluded trough the megaphones on the fleet, which had arrived without meeting much resistance to the enemy waters, and cruise missile range.

"All third stage pilots, on deck." The flight controller of the Sinij Birkaina ordered. The first aircraft to be elevated were Mig-45 (http://i42.tinypic.com/10ydq92.gif) naval bomber aircraft and Hy-13 (http://i41.tinypic.com/ftg1vc.gif) air superiority fighters. Vehicles and soldiers were boarding the Zubr-class LCACs and superheavy helicopters, while cruisers and battleships prepared for preliminary coastal bombardment. Since the thick of the enemy forces were in the shore, it should be easier to crack their defenses open and decimate their numbers at the same time.
This was the perfect battle for the Birkanian Navy, who even had specialized ships for these sorts of battles.

"All cruise missile tubes online." Said the captain of the Birkanian Oscar-II class K-119. as it prepared to fire from underwater.

"Targets are ready and we're awaiting orders." The captain of a Kirov-class cruiser informed "We'll begin to clear out the enemy coast for the Marines. Once we have confirmed destruction of major fortifications, the air force will come in and eliminate enemy air defense. We will then proceed with a landing"

"Confirmed, Admiral Cheredenko. This is captain Barkov of the Omen. All ships begin missile fire, let them stare upon the eyes of defeat!"

The alarms sounded troughout the ships of the Birkanian Navy, advising the sailors to clear out the deck. Soonly after, waves of Tomahawk missiles were launched from the Arleigh Burkes aimed at the fortifications, as the fleet kept going forward.

Commodore Marcus Pike had been ordered to lead a fleet to assist in the invasion of Kerpolvic. Under his command were two troopships, 3 Arleigh Burke class Destroyers, and his own Prometheus(ooc: It's actually an Iowa class, but I renamed it to make it sound less American) class battleship. As they neared cruise missile range, they saw several Birkainian ships unleashing hell on Kerpolvic.
"Damn! Beat here by Birkaine. Well, might as well get started," muttered Pike. "Launch a recon drone. I want to see where we're shooting first."

The Rechburg Fleet began its bombardment by launching over 100 tomahawks on pre-selected targets. Thre target selection having been made by UAV's and staelite imagery, the intention being to isolate the bridgehead from Kerp counter attack.

The F18's flew figure 8's out to sea waiting to be called in on military targets as they moved, the F35's flew CAP over the bridgehead. Meanwhile the Amphibious Group approached the landing zone, waiting to co-ordinate the landings with other nations.

"Open fire," ordered Pike.
Within seconds, that order reached the gun crews of the Prometheus' massive 16'' cannons, who aimed their cannons and fired. A tremendous roar shook the ship as the massive shells were sent screaming to the shoreline.
Over the deafening booming of the cannons, Pike ordered the first of the Marine waves to be launched. AAV-7A1s rolled into the water and motored toward the beach.

Kadax, The most heavily fortified, wellians marines are at a stalemate with the Kerps stationed there.

Kerp oil rig, the main source of money and wealth comes from there very important for funding the Kerp war effort.

The kerpian military is yet to respond to the invasion.
Also i am desperate for a kerpolvic ally as this will provide variety for the game.

A new developement has been made by Wellian Naval Architects, named the mulberry harbour, it is a harbour that can be towed into the desired place as a subsitute to a real port, once a town has been captured we shall use these,

Kerp battle report: All troops mobilized, 2 g.i battalions headed for kadax, a motorized infantry battalion going to Lubeck, lolcal militia will harras enemy troops in both towns, while a strong militia force shall tackle gradistan, the main force shall be in action as soon as a military objective has been created.

OOC: of course sorry, i wasnt completely sure where you were, kadax? Lubeck? Gradistan?

A kerp recon plane flew over the seas, and reported seeing Birkanian fleet actions 23miles off Kadax, heavy bombers with an escort of 5 fighters set off to attack, a local submarine was called and was sent to head for combat, Fighters on patrol over Lubeck picked up some Birkaine fighters and engaged, The wellian marines were repulsed and fled after heavy fighting, At gradistan the ghurkas were split in two by the militia and an antitank infantry platoon managed to destory another 1/4 of the armour there.
Back in lubeck the allies were running out of ammunition and infantry were preparing to move in to recapture the city hall, more birkanian activity was recorded, and several torpedo boats are on standby.
It was predicted Lubeck was a main target due to the para landings and it was lightly foritifed with heavy gun positions. and the Infantry battalion had reached the outskirts of gradistan. Kerpolvic charters were trying to find the location of Birkaine but had no success, sea mines were planted on the shores of all major ports and cities. All civilians were evacuated from the Oil rig,and a radar center set up, which recieved radio signals from nearby birkaine vessels

OOC: I'm invading the north coast of Kadax.

"Seems like they're beggining to take action, sir"
"Order every single combat-worthy aircraft into the skies. We're going to repell them"
The seven carrier started to quickly deploy a sizeable air compliment that was kept in the air by KS-3 refuelers. The radars onboard the AA battleships quickly detected the enemy fighters and bombers, and they fired long-range anti-aircraft missiles on them. However, the kerpolvician submarine went unnoticed.
The squadron of bombers had finished their run, and started to head off along with their escorts. The LCACs were about to hit the shore.

Heavy fire began pounding the LCACS only 4 of the 10 bombers returned after dropping their loads on the enemy ships due to an enemy missile attack,In gradistan the wellians were pushed onto the beach where vehicles were abandoned and the enemy fled. In Lubeck the armour failed to show after getting attacked by local militia, and the paras and ghurkas appeared to be on their last rounds,
The submarine let off 2 torpedos and some messages were intercepted at the oil rig,

Wellian:The next batch entered the landing craft ready for Kerpolvic, Seeking permission from the international community, Louis Blackwell would like to use small nuclear fire arms, and a sortee of bombers attacked Lubeck production factories, upon the landing craft was,
7 ghurka
501 marines, "Blackwell's fist"
and Wellian guards all heading for the shores of Lubeck, 26 para will be dropped at lubeck to try and releive the ghurka's and paras in the city hall. The invasion force will have all the air cover wellian can provide.
A new agreement with a trader has granted us the superior G3 assault rifles, which will become standard issue as of tommorow.

OOC: The bomber thing was godmodding. You didn't acknowledge my missile attack on them, and they suddenly got into attacking my fleet. You should first deploy them ,having they fly towards my fleet, drop their bombs and retreat.

The torpedo destroyed an Arleigh Burke destroyer that was providing support to the landing forces, and other ships detected the submarine using their sonar. A Birkanian Victor III submarine fired torpedoes on the kerpolvician submarine.

After passing trough the rain of fire, the 35 remaining LCACs hit the shore. Thousands of soldiers started to pour out of the landing craft, along with several XT-3 Main Battle Tanks, M1 Tunguska AA vehicles, Markava Mk IV tanks and Buratino missile tanks. Helicopters arrived to support them, firing their missiles at artillery emplacements.

Kerp: The guns carried on pounding the beaches, and several claymoor mines were set off, the machines guns didnt stop roaring, and several tanks appeared, so desperate was the situation several napoleonic guns were being used, the submarine sunk with the men still alive underwater, the torpedo boats launched from the oil rig, to attack the rear Birkanian ships.
In the other cities several infantry divisons mobilized and headed for kadax, along with1 armoured battalion, civilions were ordered to make fortifications along the river,
Wellian:
At lubeck the paras scattered the militia and had a skirmish with the g.i's ,the encircled troops broke out and the g.i's retreated with heavy losses, Gradistan was left in kerp hands and 5 fighter bombers went on patrol near the roads of lubeck and met sporadic missile fire with no effect,

Mig-45s started to drop cluster and napalm bombs on the machineguns to supress them, as the Birkanian infantry moved deeper into the beach while covering behind their own tanks, of which 7 had been disabled or destroyed. The helicopters immediately engaged the tanks by firing missiles at them, and the Buratinos started firing their missiles aganist fortifications. The LCACs continued unloading troops into the coast, and the amphibious IFVs finally arrived to the coast, and began firing with their 20mm machineguns at the enemy positions.

One Yamato-class battleship broke off from the formation to engage the torpedo boats.

The torpedo boats fired their torpedos then made a hasty retreat, enemy fighters after refueling set off to engage the mig-45's, several fighter bombers targeted armoured vehicles on the beach, while Lubeck was under temporary wellian control, the infantry divisions reached the road to kadax, and bombers set off for Boddington, Blackwell's capital, and main military base. Most of the machine guns were out of action however some still fired, and several mines were desperately thrown onto the beach, to delay the enemy. The men fixed their bayonettes and would fight till the last man,

Wellian landing craft are halfway there, and a special forces team dispatched by helicopter to capture the oil rig, Boddington was badly damaged meaning further naval exploits will be further delayed.

One group wanted to go to war, the other group made signs saying "NO BLACK FOR RED" after much debate, The Nation of NX401 was convinced to take a dimplomatic approach then wasting even more resocrues and lives for some resource that starting to become useless as we started turning for other forms of energy to help power the nation.

The amphibious BTR-94 infantry fighting vehicles shot at the oncomming Kerpolvician soldiers with its 23x115 machinegun and the PK machinegun on top, while the Birkanian infantry, taken by surprise by the minefields, retreated behind the armor.

Meanwhile, the fleet started to close in on the coast, to lend the Birkanian aircraft a hand with their anti-aircraft missile batteries and radars. The Yamato fired another Granit missile at the remaining torpedo boats before turning back towards the fleet, to continue bombarding the enemy positions with their tremendous 18.1 inch guns and cruise missiles.

Upon discovering how much had the Kerpovilcian soldiers advanced in Kardax by satellite intelligence, the Birkanian commanders sent a formation of Mig-45s to bomb their positions with cluster bombs, and to destroy the roads leading to Kardax.

Further movement would be delayed to kadax, and the divisons split, one half going into hiding within city buildings, the other for the fortifications, the armour pulled up, and started firing onto the beaches, the two subs fired several torpedos at the yamato, severe hand to hand fighting was taking place on the beach, with local militia turning up to help.

Wellian craft hit the shores and met an armoured battalion,of the kerpian kind, an attempt had been made to recapture the city hall and the paras ran into the nearby woods.. The helicopter was half way to the oil rig and was low on fuel.

More Ka-65 gunships were dispatched to take out the Kerpolvician armor with anti-tank missiles from above, which had already destroyed two other IFVs and disabled a single LCAC. The Birkanian infantry was reinforced with more amphibious tanks that reached the coast to support the troops aganist the massed ifnantry that was being dispatched. They fired their machineguns once more at the enemy armor, and the ships started to fire fragmentary airburst shells at the kerps to kill the infantry reinforcements. The Birkanian infantry retreated from the kerp onslaught, and the tanks continued to deal with them.

The Yamato was hit by both torpedoes, which cause the ship to start capsizing to starboard. A Birkanian Oscar II-class and two Victor III class submarines detected these launches with their sonars, and fired several torpedoes at the enemy submarines.

3 militia groups hit the beaches, packed with explosives and threw anti tank mines onto the nearby roads , the dismantled Infantry regrouped and attacked Lubeck causing serious damage to wellian transport and Supply vehicles, then seemingly dissapeared again. Snipers in the sky scrapers started picking off troops on the beaches, and an AA battery headed for the shores opened fire, half of the remaining fleet commenced upon the next wave of landing craft. The Emporer of Kerpolvic fled to an ally with other major government officials. Resistance was forming and a scorch earthed policy took place.

Wellian; The special forces landed on the rig, with in an instant half of it blew up, 3 minutes later the other half did, killing all those on board the rig at that time including the special forces, wellian reinforcments were out during the time boddington was being repaired.

Kerpolvic: All farm fields near Kadax were alight, and bombers scrambled to bomb Boddington to further halt wellian movement, milita groups we springing up attacking then just disintegrating, repeating it several times, the navy had come into sight of the next landing wave, and the infantry repeated the ghost attacks.

Wellian: Faint attacks were made on lubeck much to the annoyance of the troops, and more transport and supply was destroyed and captured. The g3 guns were now standard issue, and transport planes were due to fly to resupply troops as Naval operations were still hindered, AA guns were on order in local factories, and public morale was low after the highly publised Oil rig went wrong aswell as the first wave on kadax. the illustrious 10 ghurka battalion were eager to set off. <<This is Red 113, we're beggining attack runs, all planes keep close formation>> A Birkanian pilot said. A formation of seven Mig-21ZPHM (http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs39/f/2008/328/2/8/MiG_21ZPHM_by_DemonLordRazgriz.png)s lined up with the enemy troops still remaining in the coast and prepared to strafe at them with the powerful 28mm rotary cannon, then drop more iron bombs on them. A second formation of Tu-95s and MB-10s was en route to the battlefield, escorted once more by F-22s, and were loaded with more conventional unguided bombs.
