Background

The Valiant Wars has been waging for a month and aside from a few minor skirmishs they have been rather quiet. When full reports of the 'Valiant Incident' reached the Populas outrage soon raged and a massive surge in recruitment for Starfleet and the Industry sectors that would aid the war effort. New ships were soon being commisiond every day.

Hawk V Fleet Yards

Nestled inside the sweeping arms of an orbital drydock the form of a Enterprise-Class starship was secured. A Work bee flew along her portside up to the saucher section. As they passed the bridge dome they could see the Ships Name and Registry on the hull;
UHS Valiant FRN-001-A.

On the Bridge, newly promoted Commadore Langley stood at the centre of the Bridge the new ships Bridge was very different from the first Valiants Bridge and it would take some getting used to. The Rest of the bridge crew were at their stations as Elizabeth gave the order;
"Helm Officer, detach connectors take us out, full thrusters"
With quick commands from the Helm Officers console the Valiant began to move slowly away from the Drydock. Once clear the ship began to move faster at one third Impulse.
"Helm set a course for Starbase 3, Warp 7, time to check out these engines, engage" Elizabeth ordered.
The Ship surged to warp seconds later heading for Starbase Three in the Kulundra System.

Everyone in Mewsland was rushing around Mewsland space. There were many things that needed to be done, and at the thick of it all, Mew was asking the lead ships from the Battlehawk and Penguin Protectors to come to the planet Kardon (aka Mews' Home) at the heart of Mewsland space.

Mew) To the Battlehawk and Penguin Protectors. We ask that you send your lead ships to Mews' Home. Please respond.

The Valiant slowed to Warp, the engines had been working fine for two days now and they approached their destination, ready to be escorted to their next one.
"Open hailing frequencies" Elizabeth ordered.
"open sir" Comms responded
"SB 81A, this is the UHS Valiant, request approach clearence on our vector" Elizabeth requested.

Back at Kardon, on starbase 01A, Mew's shuttle was on the way to Voyager, which would escort the Mewsland carrier holding the Battlehawk ship through the Mewsland Galaxy (67 000 LY diameter, no other indigenous lifeforms except small pockets of pirate activity).

Spacedock control) SD103, you are free to escort President Mew and company to MCC-1701. Respond.

Mew) SD103 confirms.

Once on board, Mew set off for base 81A at maximum speed. Even with the massive size of the Mewsland galaxy, it would take only one hour to arrive.

(One hour later)

Starbase 81A

"UHS Valiant, this is Starbase 81 Alpha. We are releasing the carrier Purr (MCC-2756) to bring you to Kardon. Also, I have heard that the Voyager (MCC-1701) has been sent, carrying President Mew. Ah, here it is now."

Voyager roared out of warp, stopping about 100 miles from base 81A.

Mew) Voyager to Valiant. Come in Valiant.

"SB81A, UHS Valiant stands ready on station" Elizabeth replied

Mew also got the message.

"Ah! Captain. How's the new ship working? The Purr stands ready for you to dock with it for the jump to galactic warp. Respond."

"Ironing a few wrinkles out Mr president, but other than that we're doing fine" Elizabeth smiled sub-conciously running her fingers along her new Commedore Pips "We're moving towards the Purr as we speak"

Purr) Okay, we're all set. Shipboard AI has been functioning properly.

Mew) Okay. Prepare to tie all the AI systems together into Kaia over here. And make sure that ship is SECURELY DOCKED! It was just finished.

Commander, Valiant. I see you have been made a commodore now. Congratulations.

"All boards reading green" Engineer Nostrum reported.
"We are ready" Elizabeth reported

Mew) We confirm that Valiant.

Kaia) All systems ready for galactic warp. ETA to Kardon: 1 hour.

Mew) Engage.

Voyager and the Purr blasted into warp, heading for Kardon.

Kaia) Warning: Pirate vessels closing off port stern.

Mew) Disengage warp. Red Alert. All hands to battle stations.

Commander, Valiant. We stand ready to beam you aboard. I wish to take you on a tour personally. Kaia can handle the pirates. She always has.

"We could do with giving out weapons abit of a shakedown if you don't mind us giving you a bit of help" Elizabeth offered

Mew) Okay. Kaia, release the docking clamps. Weapons free and shields up, but let the Valiant get some practice.

Kaia) As you wish.

As the Valiant discounnected from the ship Elizabeth ordered.
"General Quarters, All hands man your battlestations"
"Raising shields, arming phasers and torpedo's" Vaughn reported.
"Helm, take us in, attack pattern theta two zero" Jenny ordered.
The Valiant moved to impulse and approached the pirate vessels. As they entered weapons range she left loose with a barrage of Phasers and Torpedo's, four times as powerful as the original Valiant's weaponary.

Voyager was engaged with a captured Equinox-class vessel, when suddenly there was a problem.

Kaia) Premature shield collapse, President.

Mew) What? Get them back!

Suddenly, a phaser blast hit a key spot on Voyager's engineering section: The main AI computer relays.

A large bang shook the bridge, and Kaia disappeared.

Mew) ALL ENGINES FULL REVERSE! Hail the Valiant: Kaia has been disabled. Voyager dead in the water for one half hour. Maintain orange alert or equivalent of it until repairs finished.

"Captain, Voyager is down, repeat their voyager is down!" Vaughn reported.
"Bring us about" Elizabeth ordered "Secondary power to the Shields, protect the Voyager from fire"
The Valiant moved back and forth fireing of Phaser beams and shielding the Mew ship from pirate fire.

Mew) Tactical, get the shields back. Engineering. We need Kaia now.

Engineer) Trying, sir. The relays are being replaced now.

"Damage report!" Eliizabeth yelled as the ship was rocked
"SHields down to 56% EPS Conduit leak on deck 12, primary sensor packets damaged" Nostrum reported
"Fire full Photon torpedo spread at the pirates!" Elizabeth ordered

Engineer) We have Kaia ready, sir, but she's really buggy.

Mew) Just get her working.

(a few moments later)

Kaia) President, I am back online, but I do not have control. My relays are still being replaced.

Mew) That's fine. Just get the shields back.

"Valiant to Voyager, how you guys doing over there?" Elizabeth asked as sparks flew across the bridge

Mew) We've got Kaia back, and minimal engines and weapons, we'll see what we can do. Do be warned, we don't have much, and we are still a little bugged up, even the slightest hit could cause us to lose everything we've got back. They hit us at the worst time in the worst place.

Kaia, fire torpedoes, full spread. Keep us moving so they can't get a lock.

Kaia) Aye, sir.

"We're holding them off" Elizabeth responded "But we aren't gonna be able to destroy them, are there any more of your ships in the area?

Mew) The Enterprise (MCC-1965) and the Intrepid (MCC-1700) are on the way. In fact, here they are now.

Two ships blasted out of warp, and immediately engaged the pirate ships.

Kaia) We have minimal shield power now, sir. Enterprise and Intrepid are moving in, phasers firing.

(a few minutes later)

Kaia) We have full capability, sir.

Mew) Fire at will!

"Helm officer, co-ordinate attacks with the Mew Ships Tactical officers, take us back into the fray, all weapons fire at will!" Elizabeth ordered and teh Valiant followed the Mew ships in an attack on the enemy ship.

OOC: That me for the night I am afraid, back tomorrow most likely

With two new ships, the fleet easily overpowered the pirates.

Mew) Voyager to all ships: Well done. Valiant, prepare to dock with the Purr. Voyager out.

"Helm, redock us with the Purr, Nostrum get started on the repairs" Elizabeth ordered "Vaughn get a weapons performance analysis on my desk in twenty minutes, I'll be in the ready room"

Mew) Okay Valiant, we're all set. Would you be willing to beam aboard for a tour, Commodore?

Purr, tie in all AI systems to Kaia.

Kaia, maximum warp for Kardon. Engage!

Space Ripped open, the twisted form of several ships returned to normal a split second after the drop from Inter Phase, there where fifty ships, mostly of various sizes their forms where soft light grey, they rumbled towards the star base their engines glowing white hot with blue and white particle streams flowing behind them fading in to the utter darkness of space.

The UFS Iowa was at the head of this small group of ships, its form was utterly massive and imposing, it one thousand seven hundred seventy six meter long body rumbled in to the darkness slicing through it Its massive guns lay quiet , the ship was silhouetted against the infinite expanse of white points, they glimmered in the distance , the monstrously huge ship rumbled over almost every thing else in the system, two escorts flanked it several destroyers moved in behind it.

Admiral Alexei Stukov was in command, he sat in the middle of the bridge, his green eyes peering out of the holographic view port, a grin came over his soft pale face as he shifted in his chair, he saw friendly forces engaged in what seemed to be combat exercises, he adjusted his blue uniform shifting in his chair, he sat up a smile still pastered upon his face, he idly waved his hand to the ships avatar who had appeared next to him, with out even looking to her he ordered in his eastern European accent.

“Open a channel to those ships.”

A blip was heard , as a visual channel was opened, Alix was a middle aged man his short black hair was hidden by the officers cap he wore ,he spoke out at whom ever would answer.

“This is Vice Admiral Alexei Stukov of the Terran Federation Star Navy, we where given the coordinates to meet your ships here, we have come to offer support in this venture, our main concern is other powers that do not belong in your war will seek to become involved for personal gain, thus our involvement.“

The message cut and he sat their waiting for a reply , the bridge was busy officers walked around various areas, holo consoles blipped gently and softly as officers worked them, the rumbles of the ships engines reverberated through out the bridge and the ship echoing out , Alexei relaxed slightly, siting in his chair once more.

The Iowa was the center of a small battle group, two other Cruisers the UFS Hornet, and UFS Intrepid , both ships where in formation with their respective battle groups the fifty vessels where in a defensive three dimensional wedge formation, they moved through the darkness of space silhouetted against the utter endless and infinite points of stars that hardly lit any thing from so far away. Ships ranging from Air Defense Cruisers, to Destroyers and light cruisers and Frigates .

All surrounding these bigger ships in a tight formation. SF-104 Vampire Fighters and SF-42A thunder fury fighters filled in the support craft role. Their forms where lit by the sunlight then overshadowed a split second later by ships they flew under or behind .

UHS Valiant-A

"Of course Mr President, I'll assemble a team" Elizabeth said gve me a few minutes.

UHS Enterprise

"Terran Federation ships just dropped out of warp, they are hailing" Dannielle reported.
"Open frequencies" Tom ordered after listening to the message "Admiral Stukov, welcome to Starbase 3, Commadore Thomas Munro at your service"

About 45 minutes later, the fleet dropped out of warp in front of a small moon-sized station.

Mew to Valiant) That would be Starbase 1 Alpha, Valiant. Relax, the crew won't make it shoot your ship. It's completely harmless. They can't even engage weapons unless it is attacked, so mind your phasers. Kardon's right on the other side.

Mew) Kaia, nice and slow.

The ships moved slowly past the station, and when it passed, it revealed a planet that seemed like the most beautiful place in the universe.

Mew) Valiant, that is Kardon IV, also known as Mews' Home.

Mew) Voyager to Starbase 1, request permission to dock.

Starbase Control) Opening the doors, Mr. President.

Mew) Kaia, disengage engine controls and engine/navigation relays. Starbase, you have control. Valiant, prepare to separate from the Purr.

Starbase Control) We're receiving AI systems now, Voyager. Enjoy the ride, and welcome home.

Mew) Voyager confirms.

Meanwhile, inside the station, everyone was in a hurry to welcome the new arrivals.

Starbase Computer) MCC-1701 arriving Bay 4. Transmitting to FRN-001-A readiness for arrival in Bay 4.

Mew) That one ship you see is the MX-2889. The Mew. The Great Experiment. Whatever you want to call it. It's a brand new class of ship that's supposed to have a warp drive even faster than Voyager, and much better AI systems. As for me, however, I prefer this ship I'm on right now, and I've been on for fifty years.

"Amazing" Elizabeth commented as they looked at the ships around them "What class ships do you have?"

Mew) There are 25, and 11 civilian classes. I would have to bring you over here to show you all of them. The classes I remember off the top of my head are the Voyager class and the Mew prototype.

Mew) Commander, Valiant, are you ready to beam over?

"We've got five classes, at the moment, three Short Range, to Intersteller Explorers" Elizabeth responded "Beaming over now"

Mew) I am transmitting the Voyager class schematics to you.

Mew) Kaia, bring up the Voyager class stats and send to Valiant.

Elizabeth, Jenny and Vaughn beamed over

The war that erupted between the nation of Battlehawk, with its ally Mewsland aiding it, and the nation of Torturous Chambers and its allies the Void Templar and the Dragona had brought attention from several nations who had stakes or issues with the conflict. The United Terran Federation, seeking to enforce its brand of justice and its incredibly interventionist foreign policy, had come down on the side of the Mewsland-Battlehawk alliance. Another was also attracted to this war for a reason concerning trade and first contact. The Kindai Empire was already involved in a dispute with the Orinion Colonies coming under attack by other forces and also meeting with a strange force that had released a distress call. However, it had sought to open up relations and expand trade to nations nearby and the nations of Battlehawk and Mewsland were close to the Empire's territory.

They had been working to open negotiations with these nations but they had been delayed by Akki raiders and had to divert forces to deal with them in a short but vicious campaign. By the time they had returned to see what was going on in the prospective first contact territories, they found a war was brewing and had entered the initial skirmishing stages. They saw the Battlehawk-Mewsland-Federation Alliance would be able to handle the war for the most part, but felt a aiding presence would ensure they'd be able to open up first contact and get trade going fairly smoothly, once the war was over. So it was in the meeting area designated by the alliance, a series of many rips in space opened, revealing a blue, roiling expanse. Over twenty-five of them opened and disgorged a small fleet of ships. Once they came through, the portals shrunk and closed, leaving space unmarred once more. A message was sent on open channels to the ships in system.

"This is Vice-Commander Keisha of Task Force Five. We have come to aid in the conflict with Torturous Chambers and their allies. We were told that the meeting place was here. If possible, we'd like to know the meeting area so we can get to winning this war."

UHS Sentinel, Enterprise class, approached the new fleet and answered their hail.
"This is Captain Roshenko of the Sentinel, as for meeting place, your sitting in it" Roshenko smiled "Thank you for coming"

The fleet acknowledged the arrival with a quick scan of its i.d signature and registration before answering. "Understood, Captain. It is good to be here. Now that we are here, my next question is simple. When are we going to start talking?" As the message was sent, the fleet was undergoing preparations. Marines were put on standby for boarding actions and anti-boarding actions, crews prepared for battle and tactical simulations were being loaded and gone through by the command staff. The army had been prepared but had not been brought in yet, for fear of being hit by the enemy fleets. So until they were sure they had space control, the army would stay at home. The fleet moved into defensive formation, seeking to have the best defense possible if this system fell under attack.

"If you'd come aboard Starbase I can give you a full tactical briefing" Roshenko replied

"Understood. I will be arriving shortly." The channel ended and soon enough, the Vice-Commander, and a small escort of Imperial Marines, were crossing the space towards the Starbase in a shuttle. It moved swiftly and was landing in the hangar area in no time. She wore the Imperial uniform of black pants, shoes, and a black shirt with a lining crossing from the left shoulder to the right hip, with the right side of the uniform being blue. On her left shoulder, her stars and bars revealed her rank and name. She saluted the soldiers who were there to welcome her.

"Greetings to all of you, I am Vice-Commander Keisha. Please, take me to the meeting room." The Marines formed up around her and followed the welcoming party organized for them. As they walked, Keisha glanced around, making note of the difference in design, practice, and actions than her own people, as well as just playing the part of tourist while she could. When they arrived at the room, she signaled her escort to stay, who immediately took up positions beside the door, and walked in. She bowed to who was inside and spoke.

"I am Vice-Commander Keisha. It is an honor to meet with you all."

"Welcome aboard Vice Commander, this is Admiral Bauer, Starfleet Tactical Lead" Reshenko said gesturing to the highest rankin officer as Vice Commander Keisha was given a place at the table.

Mew) Hello, Commodore, and welcome to the Voyager. You probably know me, but the other two? I am Mew Mæow II, president of the Federation of Mewsland. Well, shall we start in engineering?

Kaia) Mew.

Mew) What?

Kaia) You are needed on the bridge.

Mew) Not now, Kaia.

Kaia) I insist.

Mew) Oh fine. Well, Commodore, I guess we will start at the bridge.

Elizabeth smiled "Of course Mr President" She said

Mew) The bridge of the V is state of the art, just replaced last year after it was destroyed in a pirate attack. All the systems can be controlled from here in the rare event that Kaia fails. It is thanks to the shipboard AI that we can have less crew aboard, only 1 250 as compared to the 2 000 it would take to run this size of a ship without the AI. Down, Spot. Oh, by the way, Spot is my cat. Down, Spot. I know you want to say hi to our guests, but wait a minute. Anyway, I had you brought here because we'll be able to get a ship freed up for you guys to use. The Mewsland Galaxy is unusually close to the Milky Way, but that only lasts for seventeen hours before we return to normal position (six million light-years away) in about three days. This ship will let you get to the Mewsland Galaxy in about one week, compared to the number of months it would take one of your ships.

"Indeed, my Chief Engineer really wanted a look at your engines" Elizabeth smiled "I told her she had to wait"

The orbital space yards of the USSPP continued to churn out ships. The fleet grew steadily, slowly increasing. Messages of readiness streamed to the others allied with Battlehawk.

OOC: Now for a little background on PPSS technology. FTL drive and sublight work on the same basic principle, the grav node. It generates an intense gravity field a set distance from the ship, pulling itself along. By re-configuring the impeller wedge, it is possible to travel faster than light. Shielding is also provided because the gravity field bends laser weaponry, and can destroy solids. However, it only provides cover to the top and bottom of the ship.

Mew) Anyway, let's get to engineering.

Mew) The engine room is what keeps this ship moving. The warp core is the same one installed in the refit 25 years ago. It is only thanks to the refit that we can probe out of the Mewsland Galaxy. We can go at a top speed of warp 9.99815 on our scale, but 9.99762 is used for intergalactic trips so as not to damage Warp Space.

Keisha nodded at the Admiral and sat down at the table. She took off her cap and set it on the table, while also putting her communicator and holopad there as well. She turned to face the rest of the people in the room. "So, how do we begin?"

"WE've got a tactical scematic of all allied ship deployments" The Admiral replied as said scematic appeared on the wall console "As you can see the defense is weak in scector 12"

Mew Ship

"Amazing" Jenny commented, a former Engineer

Mew) Commodore. Are you up for a little warp run, so your engineer can see just what our engines have? Voyager is about due for maintenance at Starbase 81A.

Keisha looked at the tactical information, which did indeed show the sector had less defense, very much so, when compared to the other areas of the alliance. The Vice-Commander folded her fingers together and looked at the Admiral. "I can understand your plight in that sector, Admiral, and we will render aid if need be, but the Empire is sending this fleet to do battle with the enemy. We can do defense but we have been also authorized to fight your enemies in this war. And we have quite the fleet to do it with. If you feel that its power is needed on defense, we will go there. But if its not dire, I recommend using it in conjuction with other fleets to decisively score some victories and get this war over as soon as possible."

"It is Highly likely that the enemy has noticed to weakness of that sector (OOC: HINT HINT TC), and that they will attack there (OOC: DOUBLE HINT)" The Admiral said "Of course, if you'd rahter go on the offensive we can reassign the 2nd Fleet to defend that sector and you take their place?"

"That would be brilient, I'll have robin beam aboard, if thats ok?"

Mew) Engineering to Helm

Helm) Go ahead Mew.

Mew) Take us out of spacedock. Communications?

Comms officer) Aye,sir.

Mew) Signal dock command, we're going out for a little cruise.

Dock command) Voyager is cleared for departure.

Mew) Voyager confirms.

Elizabeth tapped her Combadge
"Langley to Valiant, beam Lt Commadner Nostrum over"

Mew) Okay, Commodore. The reason I brought you here was to get you a ship capable of reaching Mewsland's edge in a reasonable amount of time. We can do one of two things here.

Mew) We can 1) send the Ode to Joy (MCC-2846) with you, or we can 2) refit the Valiant with the appropriate equipment, including an AI system, the only way to manage the warp core to any reasonable degree. Now do be warned, option 2 is very risky. The last non-Mewsland ship we installed an AI on destroyed the Concord (MCC-1054-A) in war games when the AI bugged. However, I do believe your ship is compatible. Now, if we send the Ode to Joy, I would only trust you to command her.

Mew) Computer, allow access to main AI computer room.

Mew) It always asks. It should know by now who I am.

"I Can't authorise such modifications to the Valiant, not without Starfleet COmands permission" Elizabeth commented "So in that case, I'd be honoured to Command the Ode to Joy, I take it crewed by your people?"

Mew) I can patch you through to Starfleet Command, but yes, the Ode would mostly be crewed by Mews.

"It makes sense for me to command the Ode i guess, it gives us a chance to work together" Elizabeth commented

Mew) Okay.

Mew) Spacedock, I want the Ode up and running by the time we get back from our warp cruise.

Kaia) Mew.

Mew) What, Kaia?

Kaia) Ready to engage warp drive, sir.

Mew) Okay. Commodore, we should get to the Bridge.

"Of course" Elizabeth smiled as they walked back to te bridge

Back on the bridge, everyone was getting ready.

Helm) Let's get the AI ready for full warp space jump.

Security) I need all shields closed.

Tactical) No enemy ships in the area.

Science) All systems go, ready for sensor sweeps.

Mew) Sorry about all the noise, but this happens every time.

Mew) Atten-TION!

Everyone) Aye, sir.

Mew) Are we ready?

Everyone) Yes, sir!

Mew) Let's do it. Lay in course to Starbase 81A, warp 9.99815.

Helm) 9.99815? Our maximum rated speed is 9.99762, sir.

Mew) That's an order.

"IS starbase 81 the same class as the one we first saw?" Elizabeth asked interested

Mew) Starbase 81 is the one you got here at.

Helm) Warp 6!

"Really?" Elizabeth asked "Strange could of sworn you said 82, oh well, my mistake"

Mew) That's fine.

All of a sudden, the ship gave a great lurch.

Mew) I hate it when it does that, but that happens when the energy coming off the warp engines is strong enough to ignite the few gases in space. It won't do any harm to us or anything outside our shields. That's why we needed them raised.

Helm) Warp 8!

"I see' Elizabeth siad "I'll remember that when I'm on the ode

Suddenly, Voyager gave an even greater lurch, and the bridge exploded into color (no, it didn't blow up, it just has lots of colors coming from the viewscreen). Everyone was having to start shouting now over the roar of the engines.

Mew) We have just entered Warp Space! This happens at roughly warp 9.3 but varies for each ship! We use Warp Space to accelerate to speeds over 9.99!

Helm) Warp 9.5! 9.6! 9.7! 9.8!

"And this will get us to Starbase 81 how fast?"

Mew) Once we hit warp 9.99815, we will arrive at base 81 in about thirty seconds!

Helm) Warp 9.9975! .9976! .9977! .9978!

Mew) Almost there!

Helm) 9.9981!

All of a sudden, Voyager got thrown back into normal space.

Helm) 9.99815, sir. Thirty seconds to base 81.

Elizabeth smiled looking out as the Starbase appeared
"Looks like we're back" Elizabeth grinned

Mew) I suggest you hang on, Commodore.

Suddenly, Voyager exploded back into Warp Space as it slowed down.

Helm) 9.99!

Mew) Here we go again!

Helm) 9.8! 9.7! 9.6! 9.5!

Voyager then cleared Warp Space at base 81.

Mew) We're here. I hope the warp drive was up to your engineer's expectations.

"I'm sure it was, it'll keep her busy for weeks" Elizabeth grinned

Mew) Now, the Ode's AI is called Alensia, she was on Voyager until she tried to destroy the ship to gain power, which is why we needed the refit 25 years ago. Do be warned, she is very pushy.

"Oh I'm sure I can work something out" Elizabeth grinned

Mew) I hope you do, Commodore.... I'm sorry, what was your name?

"Elizabeth" Elizabeth smiled "Elizabeth Langley"

Mew) Ah. Anyway, do be careful. Mew to Transporter Room 6, beam Commodore Langley and her team over to the Ode to Joy now.

"Except for Commander Jenny Munro, she'll command the Valiant on the trip home" Elizabeth added

Mew) Okay, we'll take her back to Starbase 1 to get the Valiant, Kaia, back to Base 1, warp 9.99815.

Kaia) Aye.

Mew) Engage.

"Thank you"

Mew) You're welcome.

Voyager disappeared, as it went to warp.

Aboard the Ode To Joy

Elizabeth stepped onto the Bridge

Everyone) Commodore on the Bridge!

Once the computer registered that Commodore Langley was on the bridge, Alensia activated.

Alensia) Hello, Commodore.

"Hello Everyone" Elizabeth said as she looked around the Bridge

Elizabeth slowly walked towards the centre of the bridge

"Yes Please" Elizabeth said hesitating about sitting in the Command chair

Alensia) Is there something wrong with your chair, Commodore?

"Nothing, thank you Alensia" Elizabeth siad at last sitting down.

IC) Ode to Joy made its first warp trip, and almost immediately accelerated to top speed.

Alensia) It's the new warp drive. It allows for immediate entry into warp space, which means less acceleration time.

"Which means we get to our destination quicker" Elizabeth commented "Smart"

Alensia) One of Kaia's better ideas.

She said Kaia's name with a good deal of contempt.

OOC) This is just a hint at what will be happening (or what is happening) in your other thread

"What is Ode's weapons loadout?" Elizabeth asked

Alensia) As a Voyager-class starship, we have 17 Type 16 phaser arrays, and 8 Type 9 photon torpedo launchers.

"Thank you" Elizabeth said reading one of her Padds that had been in her pocket.

Alensia) Arriving Sector Twelve. Prepare to leave Warp Space.

"Make it so"

Helm) Now leaving Warp Space, arriving Sector 12.

"Full sensor Scans"

Science) Sensors, aye.

"Anything to report?" Elizabeth asked ten minutes later

Science) Nothing yet, sir.

Comms) I am picking up a communique from the starship Voyager.
