This is going to be about 200 years into the future, in a city called New Haven. There will be different gang factions struggling for drugs and weapons, etc. The National Guard of Torturous Chamber will be there, and the armory will be under a gang's control. Post your faction like so:

Leader: Omar Levy/Elbert Nall
Strength: 400 gangsters, 30 trucks, 15 humvees, 2 captured light tanks
Armament: modern weapons: Phasers, lasers, etc.
Area of city based in: north-west New Haven
Weaknesses: Contested leadership between Levy and Nall
Allies: Browned Leaves
Brief History: Founded 13 years ago by Omar Levy, The Black Leaves have all but dominated the gangs in New Haven, despite their relatively small size. They caused the current drug war by killing or turning almost all government officials and police and raiding drug stores and armories. Gangs started to break off from the BLs, and they have been fighting ever since.

Leader: Kash Wilson
Strength:350 men, 30 technicals, 10 gunboats
Armament: Plasma-based weaponary, IED's, projectiles.
Area of city based in: Downtown, run down corporate factorys and neighborhoods.
Weaknesses:One-man leadership has little flexibility, it openly exposes its LT's by giving speeches to the poor of the city and in other areas.

Brief History: A revolutionary organization dedicated to overthrowing the city's government by any means neccessary, this group is known for its brutal firefights that are often in broad day-light. This group deals with whomever as long as it helps the struggle of the proletariat.

Strength: 140 gangsters, 5 humvees, 10 trucks
Armament: modern weapons: Phasers, lasers, etc.
Area of city based in: NE New Haven
Weaknesses: Weaker than most gangs, essentially puppet of the Black Leaves
Allies: The Black Leaves
Brief History: The Browned Leaves were made as a northeastern wing of the Black Leaves, but they gained their own identity by defeating many opposing gangs and assassinating the mayor. They are still essentially a BL puppet, however.

Name: The Vigilantes
Leader: N/A, demarchic governance
Strength: 500 members with 3,000 core urban supporters (reconaissance, cash and food donors, and informants), equipped with three tanks and 50 humvees, plus five small aircraft and ten gunboats (New Haven just sounds like it could be a city near the RL US Atlantic Coast, for some reason, in particular, RL PA. If I am wrong I will DEAT the gunboats)
Armaments: modern weapons with a few homemade enhancements thrown in. machetes included
Part of city based in: Main HQ on SW outskirts of town in nearby farming settlements which supply some additional support besides core located in the city (rural support population: 2000) Mainly works in Downtown, but works in other poor areas.
Weaknesses: no central command figure to provide direction... but not always considered a problem. groupthink leads to disastrous situations, and cannot always respond right away to emergencies in town since they reside just outside city limits

Brief History: formed 7 years ago in response to the activities of the Black Leaves. Disgusted by their tactics and blatant disregard for the law, the Vigilantes grouped together to fight the drug lords and return order to the town. Seeing that these drug lords were exploiting the poor workers and homeless of the community, the least of these, they were spurred on by their beliefs in anarchism, Christian faith, social justice, and liberation theology. *think Boondock Saints*

Brief History: The Hosokawa Clan, founded in Angenteria by a group of Japanese citizens, are a recent addition to the underworld of New Haven. Quickly distilling themselves in the city's Asian population, they have plied their trade in all the things they do best: drugs, gambling, racing, prostitution, and racketeering. They are an up-and-coming gang in the city.

Strength: 500 made members 900 Associates, 20 black sedan vans, 15 Heavy Assault Tanks,
Armament: modern weapons: Molecular Disintegrators pistols, Rapid fire Pulse Rifles, and Beam Garrotes
Area of city based in: Little Italy
Strengths: Strong Family like ties between members
Weaknesses: Strict old school mafia hierarchy.

Brief History: The Maranzino Crime Family is the last remnant of La Cosa Nostra in the city of New Haven. The BL nearly wiped them out in their rapid power surge. The Maranzino family only survived this situation by relying on ties to the old country and receiving an influx of Sicilian Mafiosi that helped them maintain their iron fisted hold on Little Italy.
The Maranzinos are currently using their once powerful position to hold on to what little they have left and expanding their influence with the city’s officials. They are doing this through a combination of bribery and intimidation and sometimes even grisly assassination…

Weaknesses: Restricted by Honor Codes of Kalism and by dislike and distrust for non-kalists, greatly limiting their numbers.

Brief History: The Order has a presence is almost every country on the face of the world. A fanatical extremeist group, dedicated to spreading the world of Kalism through acts of terrorism and power, has a less than peaceful resource base. Unofficially supported by the Templarian government, they are dedicated and well supplied, although small in number in New Haven. Their leader, Ordinator Archelaus, is a man of his word and has a reputation for being trustworthy. He is a strict Kalist, and as such will not break no-agression deals or alliances without informing the other party. He will also try to find a peaceful (read: bribery) solution to any problem he encounters. If that fails, he will attack with ruthless agression and disregard until he wins.

Area of city based in:Western slums.
Weaknesses:Small membership, primitive weapons, drug addicted leader.
Allies:Anyone willing to put up with Xavier's crazy ways.
Brief History:Formed by the one eyed Xavier Steelgood, the gung ho gangsters sprouted seemingly out of nowhere. Mostly a collection of drug dealers, addicts, and general criminal types, they took control of the slum region without much effort. But Steelgood, who has a well known addiction to his own product, is determined to spread his influence from those who can barely afford the habit, to those who can make him a rich man from a simple addiction.

Ok the only one I have so far is the Black Leaves/Browned Leaves alliance.
The Maranzino Family might be interested in allying themselves with The Hosokawa Clan and the Gung ho gangsters. These two groups seem like more traditional gangs that the mafia has “used” and worked with before in the past. The other groups would probably be seen as a problem for the Family.
I might ally with them in game or start an alliance right now if the two factions agree to it…

Leader: Sven "Brute" Johanson.
Strength: 450 gangsters. Same amount of motorcycles and a couple of trucks. Incredibly brutal. "Brute" is violently expanding their empire
Armament: Shotguns, rifles and different old Assault Rifles. Mostly hunting weapons. Also some different pistols.
Area of city based in: The waterfront. Lots of warehouses.
Weaknesses: Quite disorganized, and the lack of armored vehicles can be quite frustrating.

Brief History: Your run of the mill biker gang. This gang is a pack of misfits, outcasts and badasses. Was founded in 1970 by a man called Adam Abbey, who died 6 years after the founding. The gang lived on though.
Their specialty is cocaine. Also run a small protection network.

Weaknesses: a disorganized bunch of steroid junkies, more often than not in-fighting.

Brief History: Nobody can really tell for sure when the Blackbloods first appeared. Maybe they had always been under New Haven, organizing illegal pit fights to the death. It was only at the eve of a new steroid, Nimbutal, that the Blackbloods began to make name for themselves. They pride themselves with hand-to-hand combat, and soon most if not all members of this gang were Nimb-heads, further augmenting their violent behaviour and physical strength. As a gang they are easily-hired muscle, when not trafficking Nimbutal and other drugs for themselves and others to finance their addiction. The leaders of the internal factions are usually the once who managed to get their addiction in control - yet maintain enough shrewd or strength to defend their status in the pit.
Personally I'd be interested to throw my strength behind the Hosokawas... if they think they can stoop down to the level of a bunch of muscle-bound brawlers.

Armament: Leaver action shotguns, submachine guns, mining charges, pistols, one sniper rifle, the Flame's M.A.H.C cannon and Veken cannons, lotsa sharp knifes.

Weaknesses: Only the 5 of them, enjoy violence and destruction more then they should, have a habit of walking around with guns in their hands.

Man, where to start. Alright, why we are here. Long story short, we need parts for our ship. Sure, she can still fly, but FTL is out of the question. So anyway, we basiclly stuck here on this rock until we get the parts. And for parts, we need money. So, basiclly, we put out a ad: pay us enough and we'll do anything except that thing. Haven't got any hits yet, but by the looks of it, there might be a market for hired thugs and hitmen. Gods, Kara and Grace would kill me if they saw that.

Not a "Gang" per-se. More like a group of Shady individuals working for someone, or some-group. This group, wants to know everything I can about New Haven, the country in which New Haven resides, and is not wary of providing it's skills for the Gangs of New Haven to take advantage of so that this group of beings can get their own information.

Strength: 25 Invididuals, Possible armed shuttle.
Armament: Multiple Silenced Gyrojet Pistols, Gyrojet Submachineguns, 2 Anti-tank/Anti-material infantry portable long range sniper rifles (Railgun, Bolt action.), large amount of survailence equipment, intelligence equipment, and Counter-Intelligence equipment.
Area of city based in(NW, center, etc.): North East (Closest to the major thoroughfare/interstate)
Weaknesses: The group is small, has relatively no "Offensive" power. The whole group is of an Alien species, easy to pick out of a crowd. No outside support available.

Brief History:
Dropped into a nearby area a few months ago, "Dark Threads" has been slowly building itself a secure area to operate before going "live". Reasonably well funded and well equipped, no one knows where the group of extraterrestrials came from. While a small group overall, they seem to be able to get anywhere and get any information. While they refuse to take any sides, they have no qualms about doing intelligence gathering or even assassination jobs for any group.
I hope no one minds, their a "Gang" in a way.

My group is made up of a military deserter, a pilot, a mechanic, a ex-miner and a full blown pirate.
You can see that this will be interesting.

Brief History: The screeming psykers are a gang of telepaths, who are the descendants of a religous group who moved to a desert world to create a utopian community. Many of them became obssesded with becoming superior humans, and thus experimented on themselves, and eventually they developed telekinetic powers, at the cost of weakened physical bodies. Ultimately the community failed, and many moved to this city to find a place to live and work in society. Eventually they formed a gang to protect themselves from hostile groups.
