A citadel set on the mountainside, Harnfell is home to the Crum Palace, the seat of the Commonwealth's government. Most of the buildings inside the city are government offices and establishments. Only a few wealthy families have properties within the walls; most of the civil population lives on the surrounding land.

On the northernmost mountain range, in a small valley, is the spire-city of Darfix. The city is divided into three parts, with the first being the Citadel of Spires, the home of the Lord of Darfix. Next is the Spirean Institute, counterpart to the more popular Sapientia Universitas, and center of astronomical research. Last is the merchantile area, which also includes the residences of the citizens of Darfix.

The educational and commercial center of the Commonwealth, Madina lies on the Dina Peninsula, overlooking the Gulf of Xion. The two most prominent districts are the Aurum Commercial Center, the largest marketplace in the Commonwealth, and the Sapientia Universitas, which leads technological research.
