Katherine Hayden was sipping a mug of hot chocolate as she looked over some documents handed to her before she got on the plane. The majority of it concerned the Neoslavic Civil War, which also happened to be the topic of her first meeting with a foreign head of state or foreign minister. It was strange how so many nations just wanted to bomb the hell out of wartorn locations, at least to her. She sipped the hot chocolate again.

She was aboard a buisness jet flown by an Air Force pilot. Though it was hardly different from being on another plane, the Air Force crest on the pilot's coat did reassure her, along with SIG P226 snuggled into his brown, leather belt.

She would be accompained to this meeting by her security guard, Damien O'Dara, who was armed with another P226 but with several more magazines than the Air Force people. She was going to Curriopolis, something which, whenever she had first heard of it via the Greater Americanian embassy application, had caused her to cook her family a spicy curry that night.

Suddenly, after a brief spot of turbulence, the voice of Air Marshal Frank Jameston was blaring throughout the aircraft;

"Ms. Hayden, I wish to announce that we will be arriving at Curriopolis in five minutes."

Just five minutes later, Acting Foreign Minister Katherine Hayden found herself walking down an aluminum stairway onto the Greater Americanian territory. She thought she could just make out the President of the country down below.

Garrett Curry stood in his Supreme Commander's military uniform below on the tarmac. He was surrounded by a large force of security guard and a small following of fellow military officers. Garrett Curry was a man who was a dictator, yet fancied himself as a true Nationalist and had the background to prove it.

When Katherine Hayden reached the ground he greeted her and showed her towards their armored limosine. Despite disagreeing with the concept of a woman in government he had decided to tolerate it for the sake of diplomacy. The both of them climbed into the limosine which would take them to the newly formed Pacifican Commonwealth Embassy on Revolutionary Road. On the car ride there, nothing was said about the topic of the visit but the two instead discussed other matters of politics.

When the limosine arrived and Curry's guard with it, the two entered the embassy and sat down in the board room. Curry sat and one end of the table and Katherine, the other. On Curry's side of the table sat his military officers and on Katherine's, the Pacifican Ambassador to Greater Americania as well as other accompanying officials. Curry's guards stood on all corners of the room and occupied the embassy for his safety.

Curry began, "So, we agree that measures should be taken to avoid a full scale war in Neoslavia. However we do refuse to stand down. We want the Communist rebellion to end and the Fascists to succeed in their quest for victory. The Greater Americanian military is large and efficient. It could handle this campaign quickly to restabilize the region. However a peacekeeping force in the region just makes it more difficult to do so. What do you have to say about this?"

Hayden replied swiftly and confidently; "We believe that neither side is right to resort to violence. Our soon-to-arrive peacekeeping forces - and our humantairian aid workers - are there only to save lives and evacute the innocents caught up in the conflict, along with protecting them. We feel that a permanent truce should be agreed upon by each side before the entire nation of Neoslavia collapses into a civil bloodbath which may not end for a very, very long time."

"Violence is never the answer, Mr. Curry."

"We do not object to humanitarian aid or the evacuation of the locals. All that we ask is that peacekeeping forces in the region avoid blocking access to military targets in Neoslavia so that we may proceed."

"We may allow this."

"However, we wish to express our concerns regarding the recent Greater Americanian bombing of major cities in Neoslavia. As we have already said, it is likely many have been killed by the bombardment, and some of your own supporters - the fascists - were probably killed as well, which could well turn public opinion against you."

Hayden stared at the President.

"As you have been assured in the past, Katherine, we are not terror bombing these cities. All bombardments are on rebel positions. Have there been some civilian casualties? I'm sure. But the Greater Americanian bombers are up-to-date and have targeting systems on board to minimize this."

Hayden clearly didn't believe this, but she decided to move on.

"And why are you supporting the fascists, Mr. President? Surely, as has been suggested, a national recounciliation council could be formed to attempt to rebuild the country. The fighting is just dragging Neoslavia deeper into a civil bloodbath."

"Why are we supporting the Fascists? Because we are a Nationalist nation. We are tired of watching democracy and Communism grow in the world. We want to establish our ideology as one that is just as prominent.

Civil Bloodbath, you say? What's been going on previously is a civil bloodbath. Communist rebels run through the streets executing Fascist civilians, attacking the Neoslavian Army. Our campaign will end any "bloodbath" swiftly, whereas our forces are far more well equipped than any Communist rebel, as well as maintain Fascism as the Neoslavian form of government."

"I take it you're be applying to join IFA soon?"

"What I'm saying is that peaceful discussions in Salisford will solve much more than your nation killing communists or communists killing facists or your soldiers. A pen can do more than ten thousand bombs, sir."
Greater Americania

"The IFA? What's that? We're spearheading our own organization, the Nationalist Union.

In regards to your comments about peaceful resolutions, I disagree. War has always shown to be quicker and more efficient at resolving conflicts. Hence we wage war here in Neoslavia.

We will attend your Salisford summit, but we will be no less stubborn there as well. Our objectives will be met."

"The Imperial Fascist Alliance,"

"Yes, peaceful discussions usually do take longer than a fullscale war, but many more lives can be spared by peaceful discussions. If you continue your assault, the infrastructure of Neoslavia will probably be in ruins, the population levels fallen and instability gripping the country."

"Life is a precious thing, sir."
Greater Americania

"Instability is the only thing that has been gripping the country. That's why we're here. To fix that. The infrastructure, true, will take some damage. The population levels are still on the rise. At least that is what Neoslavia reports.

We are willing to sacrifice the lives of our soldiers to acheive the greater welfare of Greater Americania."

Hayden's thoughts pounced; Not for Neoslavia?

"Peaceful discussions could end this conflict, without further loss of life and further damage to the infrastructure. We will, like you, be stubborn at the Summit."

"Well then, hopefully we will meet some kind of agreement there that satisfies the both of us. Until then, I feel we have nothing else to say to you."

Curry got up and shook Katherine's hand and the hands of the other Pacifican officials at the table. He and his guard then left the room.

"Bloody warmongers," muttered Katherine, before starting her journey back to the Air Force jet.
