The Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Pacifican Commonwealth.

Following the foundation of the Pacifican Commonwealth and the recognition of the new state, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was set up to deal with all matters of diplomacy involving the Commonwealth, from press releases to embassy exchanges. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently headed by Acting Foreign Minister Katherine Hayden, who holds office in Highbourough House, the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry in the farming lands of St. Mary's Island.

The Foreign Ministry holds responsability of managing foreign relations and foreign affairs, including establishing embassies in other nations and appointing ambassadors to nations. The Ministry also controls trade relations with nations, along with stating the stance that the Commonwealth will take on a number of foreign issues through offical statements to press releases.

The Foreign Ministry also controls the Pacifican Commonwealth's embassy exchange programme, which will take place mainly in the capital city of the Commonwealth, Salisford, though consulates in the four other major Commonwealth cities - Sainbury, L'Pariqu, New Southampton and Plymouth - for interested nations. The Foreign Ministry will also control meetings with foreign nations.

Embasy Programme.

Article I. The Embassy.

During the embassy programme, each embassies will be viewed as a de jure part of the nation it represents, so only laws enforced inside the respective nation shall be enforced inside the embassy. Diplomats and guards will be granted full diplomatic immunity from any Pacifican law enforced inside the Pacifican Commonwealth.

If times of war dawn between the Commonwealth and the respective nation, all embassy staff will be evacuted back to their respective nation via aircraft. The Commonwealth wishes to stress that it will do all it can to prevent a war with any state.

Whenever the owner of an embassy building is confirmed, the national flag of the respective nation will be sculpted onto the embassy's entrance and all of its doors.

Article II. Personal, Vehicles and Weapons inside the Embassy.

Inside the embassy, a maximum of 75 personal will be tolerated, with no limits placed on the amount of seperate staff, i.e. diplomats and guards. All vehicles will be welcomed as long as they are not armed or are a military vehicle. Aircraft is forbidden.

Weapons will be limited to assault rifles, handguns and submachine guns, with shotguns forbidden.

Acting Foreign Minister Katherine Hayden gave the lowdown on the Commonwealth's policies on the Neoslavic Civil War today.

Highborough House - Acting Foreign Minister Katherine Hayden has stated the policy which the Commonwealth will be adopting on the issue of the Neoslavic Civil War, a large conflict in the nation of Neoslavia. The ruling fascist government and communist forces are heavily engaged in a civil war which has already killed many, and so far the communists have taken control of the ruins of a town.

"Our policy on the Neoslavic Civil War will be of a stance of neutrality," said Hayden today. "We are not supporting either side in this brutal conflict, and we wish to make this clear to all nations. However, the Commonwealth is preparing to send peacekeepers and humantairian aid to the wartorn Baltic state, in order to save lives and protect innocents."

"We are working together with the nation of Chernobl in a joint peacekeeping operation which will see 'zones' being created in Neoslavia. I thank all of Chernobl for approaching us about this joint operation, and I hope this will be the beginning of many more instances of co-operation between our two states."

"Our only goal is to save lives. We are not trying to forcefully implement democracy into Neoslavia; we are merely trying to spare lives and save the many innocent people caught up in this conflict. While we are disappointed by many nations deploying forces into the nation to kill people, fascists or communists, we will not hinder their operations in anyway. The only goal of our operation is to lower the death toll."

Hayden also responded to the Greater Americanian calls for the Commonwealth to cease peacekeeping operations in Neoslavia; "We are not going to end Operation Buddha prematurely. Our Rapid Deployment Command Peacekeepers will be arriving on Tuesday, and we will start supplying the innocents caught up in this conflict with fresh water, foodstuffs and offers of evacution to the Commonwealth. While we will not interfere with Greater Americanian operations in Neoslavia, we will not end our peacekeeping operations either. Let all nations be aware of this."
