(from the idea by Motokata)
After it's destructive path through The Oligarchy of Motokata typhoon Akiko is now posing a direct threat to Ang Philippines. Having now spun into open seas, it is likely gaining strength and is sure to be very very dangerous. All preparations are being made but this is expected to be a hard hit. The State Media of A.P. will be the only operating Media for the time being and will keep the public posted. All citizens are now taking cover and all tourists and non-citizens are being evacuated.
TO ALL NATIONS WITH EMBASSIES:
Due to the storm danger your operations are being suspended. We advise you evacuate the country right away. Construction on new Embassies has also been suspended until recovery is achieved.

Dear Sir/Madame
As of yet we do not have an embassy in your nation. Something we hope to rectify soonest. However to the matter at hand, we have heard about this Typhoon heading towards your nation, we wish to offer you the services of the 12th Medical Command and elements of the 45th Military Police Group. Both units have recently just undergone a training course in natural disaster management. Whilst the name of the military police group may sound foreboding, they are not actually equipped to act as a policing unit. Whilst they are armed they actually specialise in organising disaster relief operations. Our units can be deployed as soon as we receive permission from your government.

Dear Sir, Madam,
Because of the fact that The Grand Duchy of Noordeinde already has several Navy vessels in this region, we like to help as well with this natural disaster. Next to our aircraftcarrier (http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/3007/hrmskareldoormanjy1.jpg) we have a Rotterdam class amphibious transport dock ship (http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/rotterdam/images/rott19.jpg) in the area. This ship is equiped with a full hospital, and can carry up to 600 Marines who can support the Ang philleppines authories on the ground as well with "natural disaster management" or supply medical aide.
I honestly believe that we can make a succes of this operation by working with the Wolf Hold authorities and Ang Philleppines authorities.
Our units can be deployed as soon as we receive permission from your government.

As soon as the embassy got the phone call from the FA, it burst into action. The ambassador spoke quickly and loudly to the assembled staff:
"All civilian staff will be evacuated to a friendly aircraft carrier. Unfortunately, there is no room for military staff and they must stay here to protect the embassy. However, we need an armed escort to the airport," the ambassador pointed to three soldiers, "You three, stay behind, all others, get the cars ready. Dismissed."
The staff scattered and quickly gathered any personal necessities they had before hurrying to the garage. Shortly, the 23 people who would be leaving the embassy had been loaded into the SUVs and they screeched out of the garage with a blatant disregard for traffic laws.

Not far from the northern coast was a small fishing/farming village. They too were preparing for the storm. Mika was helping her mother board up the windows to their small cottage. "Getting bad, Mama!" She said looking at the sky. "I know sweetheart, we just need to hope for the best." Rain quickly began falling and thunder crashed.
"Mama!" The younger sister called. Noriko was a small girl no more than 5 years old.
"Noriko, stay inside baby!"
"It will be okay, we'll be in soon! Ma, what about Taikagi? He hasn't returned to port."
Takagi was her older twin brother and the provider for the family. He fished and sailed to ports to make a living for them.
"I just hope he's gotten into a safe port. Let's get inside quickly."

"Sir, we can't just give you to some strangers totally unarmed."
"They're friendly sailors. I'll be perfectly safe."
"At least take my pistol, sir."
"I'm not taking your pistol. You'll probably need it more than I will what with looters and all."
"I do not intend to shoot any looters, sir."
"Then don't, but you're not coming with us and I'm not taking your pistol."

Out at sea was the small fishing/trading vessel the Espiritu ng Hangin. The young female captain Makiko-Yin Lee was struggling to keep her ship afloat in the harsh seas. She was hoping to beat the storm into port when they left the Southern Peninsula. Taikagi was her first mate. "Maki? She gonna hold?"
"I hope to dear God she will. This is too big for your garden storm, we must have sailed right into a typhoon."
Thunder crashed as water toppled onto them.
"Very likely, it's too strong for a gale. What are the odds any other ships would be in the water?"
"Extremely unlikely. We did a pretty late run for the season. We're out of the normal international trade and travel routes. All A.P. ships are hunkered down for the season, especially if a typhoon is going to strike."
Now it seemed hopeless. There was a box of flares but would anyone see them? He picked a bunch up.
"What are you doing?"
"I have to try."
"Those are expensive dammit!"
"Yeah, but if we're going to die, makes no difference."
"Ok, just be careful! I can't lose my best mate!"
Out on the deck as the other sailors attempted to hold things steady and keep themselves from toppling over he climbed the mast and set off a flare. He lit up the others and placed them where ever they would hold to illuminate the boat. If any passer buys were in the area they would see them.

Back at sea the storm intensified even worse. The flairs were dying slowly and the waves were growing. The ship taking on water, far too much for the pumps to keep up.
Taikagi couldn't help but look at a picture he kept with him, his two sisters and him self. He loved his family but it was beginning to look as though he wouldn't see them again now.
"It's no use." The captain said. "She's just not going to hold any longer. Abandon while you can."
"What about you?"
"A captain always goes with his ship." She kissed him. "Good luck, God Speed."
He put on a life vest and jumped into the raging sea. As the last of the flairs suffed out he saw the shadow of the boat vanish into the waves.

On land Mika Noriko and their mother had fallen asleep. The lone lantern was still burning a little bit of candle light. The sound of clanking wood snapped Mika awake. She moved over to the boarded window and saw it swaying, ready to snap off and it did. The window pane went with it and water began rushing in. "Mama!"
"Here sweetie." She pulled her two daughters close to her. The wall soon collapsed and the roof was blown off. Now it was the three girls against the savage wind. They moved somewhere anywhere for shelter. The hunkered down in a cluster of toppled trees. The mother started praying for her and her daughter's salvation and safety.
It would be accurate to say that the ambassador was not pleased that the planes had taken a detour to perform a search and rescue. He had very firm philosophies about what one does when they have VIPs on board and searching for fisherman in a typhoon was not one of those things. However, his common sense also lent him some very strong philosophies about what one should say to foreign soldiers rescuing him from a typhoon: Complaining was not one of these things.

((OOC: Damn you Ang, was just about to rescue them :p))
The HH-60H swung around once more. Even with the NVGs it was almost immpossible to see anything in the storm. The winds were picking up and soon it would be way to dangerous to fly, even for a modified rescue helicopter like the HH-60H.
"Cheif I got nothing, we can't stay here for too much longer otherwise they will be needing a SAR bird for us"
"I know, okay everyone close up we are going........wait...in the distance, flares! Okay scratch that last order, prepare for rescue divers!" Cheif Warrant Officer Chareleston flicked on the powerful search beams on the front of the HH-60H and pointed it in the direction of the flares. "This is Voodo 5 to SAR Command, possible ship in distress, G125564, H124994 requesting support."
"SAR Command to Voodo 5, we are re-directing Raccon 4 to the grid square, hurry up the typhoon isn't far out"
"Got that SAR Command..." Chareleston killed the link and went towards the ship as fast as he dared. Sadly he was too late.....the ship went under the waves as they reached its position. "Shit! Anyone get off that thing! Come one someone be down there!" The crew of Voodo 5 swept the searchlights over the ocean and kept a look out with there NVGs.

Tai bobbed up and down in the waves. Not a single one of his ship mates seemed to be around. So he was truly on his own. His life vest was the basic kind you take out on a day of boating. Most modern vests have either strobes or some other modern marvel. His didn't. Outside of the usual reflective strips. Suddenly he saw a beam of light, was he going to the other side? Either way he made a swim for it hoping the light wouldn't vanish. He made it into the beam before it began another sweep around. He looked up into the powerful beam not sure what he would sea, Heaven? Hell? A spaceship if such things existed? Now the reflective tape on his vest were glaring

"Can't sleep either?" he asked taking her close to him.
"It's scary." She whispered.
"Yeah." He agreed. "We're going to have a lot of work to do. Mother and Father will need all our help. So will our citizens."
"I'll clean and clean and clean! And I'll, I'll give some of my dresses to the Church, and to any one who want's them."

The pilot made an announcement to the Ambassador; "sir if you look outside you can see our destination, the Hr.Ms Karel Doorman (http://www.vlaggeschipsmaldeel5.nl/assets/images/0329_zicht_op_kd__coccoris_.jpg), isn't she a beauty?! Sir were going around (http://www.vlaggeschipsmaldeel5.nl/assets/images/1063_charlie_model.JPG) and and then were going to start landing".
The planes went around the ship and the plane with the Ambassador started it's final approach to the deck (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9e/Final_approach_to_HMAS_Melbourne.jpg). "ladies and gentlemen, please fast in your seatbelts and rase for impact, landing on a carrier is kinda rough"
The plane started to decend, and the pilots came closer and closer to the deck. And finnaly made it's rough landing onboard (http://www.vlaggeschipsmaldeel5.nl/assets/images/1914__wave-off__joep_.JPG) of the Hr.Ms Karel Doorman (http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/3007/hrmskareldoormanjy1.jpg).
The pilots shutted of the engines, flapped in the wings (http://www.vlaggeschipsmaldeel5.nl/assets/images/1054_landing_s2a_o.JPG) and opened the door for the Zinarian delegation. The captain welcomed him onboard. The both of them watched a few minutes later the landing of the second plane land with the other part of the delegation.

And if you don't show up in every nation, well why is your navy around "to rescue people"?!?! So if your such interested in this situation why don't you go to this donor conference for the Ang Phillipines, and if you don't want have something to do with this thread, because it seems like that, why don't you withdraw your navy and go. So if your intersted please take a look at the conference)

General Castro-Stalina leaned across the pilot's face to look out his window. The whirling propellors seemed only centimeters away. "Well, the typhoon left the beaches nice and clean in some places."
"Set her down?" the pilot asked, his voice slightly muffled by her left breast.
"Sorry, Joe," she smiled. She moved back a bit and strained on tiptoes to see out. "No. Not much we can do right here but bust a tire, by the look of it. See if you can raise anybody on the radio."
Joe Kona was the aircraft commander but the General had such stature - even if she couldn't see out the windows - that he felt any Fatatatutian would follow her to hell and back - if there was a hell. He cracked the mike, "C-130 Victor Charlie Triple Six. Anyone on the air in Ang Philippines?" He wasn't much of a stickler for protocol. "C-130 Victor Charlie Triple Six. Anyone on the air? Over."
"Keep trying," the General said. "If you don't get an answer in ten minutes, take her home."
"C-130 Victor Charlie Triple Six. Anyone there?"
