The nation of Latransylvania was rebirth after the toppling of the Stalin communist government. The newly reformed Republic of Latransylvania was rebuliding from the pro-democracy coup. But one situation came up, and it was important one. The majority of the nation, as suggested by the national name was canine. The nation did have a sizable feline minority, from it's neighbor country of Felinia. Felinia was in consistent civil war over country of the nation. The situation started in 1902, when King Rizza II was killed by a assassin. The royal houses, republicans, and other groups tried to install permanent governments, but those governments were over thrown in coups and murders. That period of war was responsible for the large immigration into Latransylvania from during the 1900's. Now after nearly 100 years of civil war and bloodshed, something must be done. The Latransylavian Defense Forces were called up for possible action in the war torn nation.
At the border were elements of 3 divisions poised to intervene. The current situation was that the nation currently did not have a government yet. The last one was a communist state in 2000, which overthrown in 2002. The units waited, for the orders. Across the border were militias, private armies, and foreign mercenaries fighting for one of the royal houses, or the other groups in their quest for power. It was amazing how a nation could go from a stable, growing nation to a anarchy in one event, there were some unrest during the time in the country and it's one of factors of the unavailability of a stable government in the country. Then a message came in, it was orders to move into the nation and begin operations. From a coup to a peacekeeping operation, this was to be the test of the nation's new leaders and it's military.

The 9th Armored with the 3rd and 6th Guard Infantry Divisions crossed the border with support from the 5th Tactical Fighter Wing at Garrland AFB.
