Dakimrod is a landlocked nation located on the southern extreme of the Eastern Steppes. It is approximately the size of Kazakhstan.
IndentDue to its position on the Steppes its terrain is fairly constant flat plains running from one end of the country to the other. Forests are common in the rugged cold North of the nation.
IndentThe violent winds which run west off the steppes make Dakimrod a cold nation frequented by catastrophic ice and snow storms that have built the character of the native population.
IndentThe river Irma flows through the center of the nation, the territory surrounding it and its tributaries is used for the countries primary source of farming. Land off the Irma is used for grazing livestock including Sheep and Cows.
IndentWinters in Dakimrod are difficult and a large percentage of the elderly and young population do not survive, this has impacted upon the way of life in the area.
II. Economy
Agriculture accounts for the largest portion of Dakimrod's GDP (average 22.7% over the past five years) over a third of the land is used for agriculture. Chief products of the agriculture industry are wool, leather, dairy products, meat, barley, rice and wheat.
IndentDakimrod has a massive reserve of Uranium, Chromium and Lead with smaller interests in Coal, Gold and Iron. Mineral extraction is the second largest industry in the nation.

Dakimrod affords a relatively small organized peacekeeping force equipped with 3rd generation weaponry and equipment. The Head of state Emir Ilhami Darzl is the official commander of the Dakimrod Armed Forces which is overseen by the Ministry of Armed Forces.
IndentRecently the Armed forces have doubled in Armour units and upgraded its complement of Fighters to a modern standard.

The country is a Constitutional Monarchy ruled by the Emir Ilhami Darzl who has the power to veto legislation passed by parliament and refuse the election of a Prime Minister, as has been the case in the election of Communist Candidate Serhan Fiedler twice in the 1980's.
IndentThe two largest political parties in Dakimrod are religious Sunni Islam groups supported by the Emir. Recent political changes and pressure placed by student groups have seen the rise in trend of a Liberal Democratic third party.
IndentIt is the right of the Majority party to announce the date of the next election to a maximum of ten years. Typically there are elections every five years.
IndentThe current Prime Minister, Direnk Yankov representing the Solukensk Subdin Party, has run for two terms lasting ten years. The DSSP has worked towards re-establishing conservative Islamic principles in Dakimrod Society.
IndentThe government resides in the Capital Solkent in the newly constructed Pravstolvo building.
