Miami Shores Balsero Crisis Saga I:
Repeal of the Neutrality Act: OCC: Vote thread as good, fair or bad regardless of your views. May post in IC mode any RP, views or comments.

Every year thousands of La Habana Cubans wash ashore Miami Shores. On anything that floats, rafts, boats, inner tubes, floating cars, trucks and cabs. Across 90 miles of shark infested waters.

Thousands more drown each year or die in the jaws of sharks.

Many Balseros are brought by smugglers on overcrowded speed boats, often resulting in fatal accidents.

Thousands of La Habana Cubans defect each year around the world, emigrating to Miami Shores eventually.

Care packages, limited time family visits and Miami Shorerian family remittances $ through friendly third nations have been allowed or intentionally overlooked.

Our Minister of Defense, Armando Perez Roura, a military genious. Brings up a possible invasion La Habana Cuba our arch enemy at every National Council of Ministers meeting.

While President Licoln Diaz Balart and Vice President Ileana Ros-Lehtinen are sympathetic to his cause. President Lincoln's hands are tied by international laws of agression and our nation's Neutrality Act, which prohibts war unless attacked or provoked adopted at our independence and founding.

Many Miami shorerians advocate the repeal of the Neutrality Act, claiming the Balsero crisis is a provocation of war.

While the government's military plans of a possible naval blockade of La Habana Cuba nothing goes in, nothing goes out until the government falls from within.

Possilbe invasion plans of Isla De Pinos archipelago islands, the setting up of a government in exile of political dissidents both from within LHC and those in forced exile within Miami Shores are public knowledge the exact military plans details are secret.

I myself a Balsero as a little boy with my Mom. Who tried to bring us to freedom and a better life in Miami Shores. As mom knew she was dying and could not go on. Tied me up to the raft as it floated protected from sharks by a school of friendly Dolphins. If only mom could see me now, and all I have accomplished and become in Miami Shores, she would be so proud.

Foreign Affairs Minister Elian Gonzalez.

Repeal of the Neutrality Act:

The Neutrality Act has been repealed. By a vote of 49 to 51. All 45 Miami Shorerian parliament members of non La Habana Cuban birth or descent voted against the repeal of the law.

Joined by 4 Miami Shorerian parliament members of La Habana Cuban descent.

President Lincoln Diaz-Balart with Vice President Ileana Ros-Lehtinen at his side in a show of support signed the bill into law.

Only 20 % of Miami Shorerians of non Cuban birth or descent support the repeal of the Neutrality act, and possible war. While 90 % of Miami Shorerians of La Habana Cuban birth or descent support the repeal of the law, and possible war.

So 58.50 % of the nation supports the repeal of the Neutrality act and possible war, against 41.50 % of the nation.

The good news for the government is 90 % of all Miami Shorerians say they would support thier nation's war effort if need be, if it came down to war.

10 % say they would peacefully protest the war, or so they say, all across Miami Shores.

At least 35,000 La Habana Cuban immigrants per year legally emigrate to third nations like Spain, Mexico and others, most eventually emigrating to Miami Shores.

As well as thousands who emigrate illegally on anything that floats, boats, rafts, inner tubes, floating cars, trucks and taxi cabs across 90 miles of shark infested waters.

Are smuggled by smugglers on speed boats, not counting those that drown at sea or die in the jaws of sharks.

The La Habana Cuban government estimates at least 10,000 emigrate to Mexico illegally each year with the help of smugglers, paid for by private Miami Shorerian citizens. At a cost of up to $ 10,000 Miami Shorerian Pesos per persons.

The governmet of Miami Shores is counting on support from the estimated 4 million La Habana Cuban citizens directly and inderectly receiving family remittances $ from Miami Shorerian and other overseas family members all over the world in a possible war.

Miami Shorerian Diario de Las Americas Reporter Jose Diaz-Balart reporting.
