It is projected that by the time the next national census is complted The Phoenix Milita's population will have crested the 12 billion mark. In honor of this momentous occasion, a massive skyscraper will be constructed in New Sparta, the financial capital of The Phoenix Milita.

Millions of workers, including hundreds of thousands of recently laid off Phoenix Dynamix employees and currently unemployed will be tasked with this historic undertaking. The as yet unnamed tower will be the centerpiece for a new downtown in New Sparta, featuring residential, commercial and government spaces as well as recreational facilities and a national park. Just as The Phoenix Milita's population continues to reach new heights, the tower will ascend into the heavens at heights previously unfathomable.

Those in the know are remaining tight lipped about the details of the design, projected cost and time estimates for now, but preparation for construction has already begun. Just last night, an entire square mile of city land was cleared and several streets were diverted around the worksite. Giant industrial digging equipment began arriving by rail this afternoon and a nearby 100 story apartment complex is being converted to workers housing to accommodate the initial workforce. Eventually a series of prefabricated multi-story buildings will be brought in to house the army workers that will be required for the project.

Coinciding with the birth of the 12 billionth militant today, the first piece of the tower has been laid, several hundred feet underground. A massive composite arched structure is taking shape on top of the bedrock. This arch structure, which is over 2,400 feet long, along with its twin and several pilings will form the base of the tower. First look photos coming soon.

Despite rumors to the contrary, the tower will not aim to be the tallest building in the worlds and it is not even confirmed that it will reach 1500 feet. References made in the press as of late to "the world's tallest building" actually refer to a separate project, the Plains Pyramid which will be 4200 feet in height and 6600 feet long on each of the four sides It will be made out of solid blocks of a new composite material that we have created. The construction of the pyramid is scheduled to be completed within 15 years after the start date, which is expected to be AFTER the tower is completed.

(Question did you ever see the show ancient discovery because the pyramid is the largest load sustaining structure next to the arch. Also since this is not a super serious thread I decided to put a little humor in it. If you want me to delete this post its understandable)


"Now for the militia to put all 12 billion people on that skyscraper and knock it down," cried Bjornsen B.B. Bjorn, minister of defense laughing aloud as he read the newspaper. One of the new secretaries had raised her eyebrow when the older one, a blonde haired woman of the age of 42 whispered that the minister was having an episode. The new secretary nodded as she followed the other secretary out to the break room for a muffin. When they came back almost 5 minutes later the minister of defense was still laughing.

The older secretary pushed open the glass door to his office and called out to Minister Bjorn if he needed his medicine. The man nodded as the secretary opened a drawer and pulled out a big white pill that had 80mg written on its side then she filled a cup of water and handed it to the laughing man. His body finally calmed down from the laughing tremors as he looked straight to the secretaries face.

"Send them a congratulations," he said before walking to his desk and passing out for the next 20 minutes.
