Von Tony Industries In Conjunction With Eccentric Enterprises
Alternative Solutions to Inconvenient Problems
Presenting The Geological Underground Long Term Uranium Storage Station
Corporations and nations of the world, I believe you will find the following scenario all too familiar. Nuclear power is a powerful factor within modern industrial activity; indeed, many nations are reliant upon this energy source to provide light and power for their people.
On the other hand, the following scenario is alas also too common. Nuclear waste must be disposed of, but how? Many nations pile it in vast warehouses, many attempt to bury it at great cost, some sell it to other nations; all of these methods however invariably provoke a response from some protest group or another.
My organisation however presents an opportunity for all nations who merely wish to advance unhindered by the burdensome expenses and hassle from small concerned groups. By liaising with a small think tank operation I have devised a corporation which, through ingenuity and forward thinking, will allow you to dispose of your nuclear waste for a relatively small cost.
My corporation has, repurposed, an abandoned sea based oil extraction platform within the boundaries of Hydrosteria, a free trade nation with few if any laws regarding commerce regulation.
The process for your nation or business to dispose of your waste perfectly legally with minimal hassle is simple, by shipping your nuclear waste to the Hydrosterian port town of Eranni my corporation will then ship the waste to the oil rig for processing; the processed containers will then be shipped back to the port where they will be dealt with accordingly; the waste itself will be stored safely underground in a secure containment area that will withstand geological activity for millennia.
We here at our corporation operate on a “off your hands” policy, that is once the waste arrives in our Eranni depot and have wired us the funds the waste is no longer your concern and becomes the responsibility of the corporation.
Standard costs for long term storage and processing of radioactive waste, based on available statistics, can amount to roughly 3.65 Billion Dollars per nuclear power plant on a planned one hundred year plan. My corporation however offers the same solution, but for the significantly cheaper sum of merely 15 Million Dollars Per year for 12 m³ of waste produced by a reactor per year (an average waste amount).
Note, we accept all forms of nuclear and radioactive waste.

Yes indeed nuclear waste was an... issue in many nations, if not across the world. Many nations did with it what they could, but the oppertunity perhaps for a nation or buisness to dispose of their waste cheaply with no strings attached would surely not be missed by many.
Of course, Von Tony was not a fool, he new what he was doing, and he had not lied once. Processing the waste indeed, they would simply remove it from the containers, and where then? Well, an oil rig running in reverse was an interesting concept... Adapted by one of his... associates, they had managed to reverse the pumping process to dispose of waste in a relativly hassle and maintenance free manner; and best of all, neither him, nor his clients, would be held responsible for pouring radioactive waste into cavities beneath the earth once filled with oil thanks to Hydrosterias absence of trade laws... Indeed, if things went well for him it would open a world of oppertunites for him and his other... personalities.

This is too easy...
"Need I remind you that what we're doing is completely legal?"
And besides even if it wasn't we'd still be doing it! Whaha!
Do you really have no qualms about this?
None... none at all!
Regardless I need those funds for my experiments.
Which are in themselves immoral...
Morality is a point of view.
Is it? I have NONE AT ALL!
"Gentlemen please."
Von Tony rose from his desk, finished processing the latest application, the continuing discussion was annoying him some what, so many points of view; he himself was only interested inthe intrigue of running a buissness.
His office was located atop the oil rig, the first shipment had arrive aboard one of their freighters, a rusted hulking thing that should have been scrapped years ago, for that matter so should have the oil rig. Most of it was delapedated, yet their repairs had made it suitable for the task, and seeign as most of it was automated by jury rigged robotic fork lifts controlled by a few simple CAM programs safety wasn't an issue for anyone but themselves.
"Look at it, you cannot deny this ia an acheivement."
An acheivement of EVIL!
It's a means to an end.
Can we please go do something enjoyable? I haven't had private time for two whole days now!
Von Tony sighed, sharing your head with a collection of other individuals was such an annoyance, there may have been a number of people on this station, but they were all in the exact same place, at the exact same time.
OOC: Thank you, technically a buissness but not averse to a little bit of espionsage if anyones up to it.
OOC: That's why I'm interested, not that we couldn't do a little buisness :) The green stuff has gotta go somewhere and I'll be damned if I'm gonna keep it in my country. Post will come tonight one hopes!
OOC: I love the reason for the reason of the bump lol. Anyways, this seems a little scammy...How long till we have to deal with radioactive glowing green cows mooing and going "Gimme ju brains!"? Just wondering, but this looks like it could go places if you decide to make them evil with multiple agendas lol.
Salzland

The issue of nuclear proliferation had been treated as the most significant security threat to the Armed Republic of Salzland for well over a decade, and especially in recent years a threat that was growing. The number of state and non-state actors across the globe armed with nuclear or radiological weapons, or the capacity to create such weaponry, increased with each passing day. As such, one of the highest priorities of the Salzland Defense Intelligence Agency was to identify possible proliferation of nuclear or radiological materials and expertise, and neutralize it.
Thus, the founding of the Geological Nuclear Waste Disposal Corporation was immediately treated as a security threat by the SDIA. Any organization promising to "dispose" of nuclear materials, especially materials which could be easily reprocessed into a weapons-grade status and re-sold on the black market for massive profits, at a fraction of the cost other organizations incurred had to be viewed with suspicion. The lack of accountability and responsibility promised by the introductory announcement of the organization almost screamed 'illegal practices' to the broader world community. For handling such large quantities of radioactive material, at the very least corners would have to be cut in areas such as security in order to make the operation profitable. Insecure nuclear stockpiles would pose just as much a threat as an active nuclear trade, meaning that the SDIA had to investigate this organization and, if necessary, advocate that Salzland act to shut it down.
Thus, Salzland Intelligence assets began to be shuffled into positions where they could gather information on this new organization, and especially its oil platform headquarters. Surveillance satellites tracked vessels arriving and departing, and also monitored the surrounding air and waterways for trace leaks of Uranium and Plutonium, the two elements the SDIA was most concerned with. To supplement this coverage human assets were clandestinely moved into the nation of Hydrosteria, to physically monitor the port of Eranni. These individuals would track the shipping containers carrying nuclear materials as they arrived, departed to the GNWDC's oil platform and returned, supposedly carrying "processed" nuclear waste ready for underground storage.
It was under orders simply to observe and report upon all public activity related to the GNWDC that a team of three agents from the Operations Directorate of the SDIA took up their assigned stations in Eranni, each assigned to separate sections of the city in order to monitor a different portion of the GNWDC operation. One would observe the port itself, to note how many shipping containers were arriving and from where, with the others keeping tabs on the mainland facility. They would rotate at irregular intervals, in order to throw off any possible counter-surveillance. The SDIA could not afford to take any risks, where potentially large quantities of nuclear materials were involved.

In anycase, do not fear, the actual method is technically safe although the companies not making it known if they can help it; after all, oil and gas suplies have survived under there for millenia without ill effect. If you want a reassurance let me tell you now, nuclear threats are sooo mid 20th centry. Laser beams and machines which make volcanoes erupt are the way forward for the evil future! So no, I will not be using the waste as far as I can see it; doesn't concern me, just a money making buissness.

Salzland Infiltration Of Hydrosteria And Eranni;
Hydrosteria itself would have been an interesting learning curve for most of Salzlands "human assets" who tried to enter. Hydrosteria had an incoming migrant population of practically zero and an emmigrating populaton whcich was rather significant. A nation which was essentially a night watchmen state with an absence of social security and ruthlessly promoting free market capitalism made it unappealing to those who couldn't cut it. Thus, when Salzlands "spies" attempted to enter through the various points of entry, mostly airpports harbours and one or two motor way connections to the mainland, they were taken aside for questioning immediatly and drilled fanatically with questions relating to philisophical, commerce, economic, political, and other topics which were more or less obscure. Although the spies would have surely been most capable the sheer suspicion that they held "perfectly ordinary citizens" coming into Hydrosteria in warrented enough excuse for them to simply dismiss them. Unfortunatly for Salzland the majority of the spies were turned away at the borders and ordered out of Hydrosteria; that didn't mean of course they could find less legitimate ways in.
Those that did make it past were harrassed by paranoid policemen throughout Hydrosteria during their journey; in the end, only a fraction would have made it to Eranni. Since all subjects deemed to be risky were escorted out of the country and uploaded onto a database if the spies had been foolish enough to claim their rights under Salzland the sheer coincidence of it all would have been most obvious.
Eranni itself wasn't too hospitible eitehr, although the town had a large populaton it was a tightly knit community and so the influx of outsiders would have made them uneasily suspicious.
Salzland Intelligence's other operations wold of course be mostly unnoticable, the tracking afforded to them by their sattellites revealed that a freighter of indeterminable age shunted bak and forth between the platform and a warehouse on the shores edges, whilst about seven lorries in turn were leaving the warehouse going on a seventeen hour journey to the town of Dyran and returning. The monitorings of the waterways in turn would not reveal any traces of uranium or plutonium that was out of the ordinary; if anything it could be assured that they were not simply dumping it in the ocean.
The GNWDC's operation in Eranni however was rather small, three large warehouses sitting next to each other surrounded by a large perimeter fence, simple surveillance equiptment from inside the compound watched the area. Examinings would see that it's accountable workforce consisted of merely two individuals who would come out every now and then to check the area, one of them who was responsible for the freighter; they seemed more like guards. Indeed, the operation seemed automated, with jury rigged forklifts with radio boxes and computers built into them managing the entire affair. Thus far, neither the GNWDC of the Hydrosterian government had caught onto what Salzland was doing, but on the other hand nothing obvisouly incriminating had been found.
Military Intelligence 6 (MI6), Stevid Capita
Constantly monitoring the world economy and major economic international transactions was a big job for any security service and this was no different for Stevid’s own international security observers. A whole, huge division had been created twenty years ago to conduct surveillance on the world’s economy and investigate anything remotely suspicious that could compromise Stevidian/Imperial national security and the balance of power in the local regions or regions that Stevid had a vested interest in. The stunt The USSR of a Utopian Soviet Union (USU) had pulled quickly flashed up on MI6’s ‘intelligence radar’ as it were.
It wasn’t unusual for countries across the world to export their nuclear/biological/chemical waste to other countries willing to take it to make some extra cash for their country but USU was different. Something didn’t add up.
Utopian Soviet Union was of little concern to the Holy Empire in most circumstances, militarily, economically and even politically (to a certain extent) Stevid was on paper the better looking but the Empire had some respect for the USU. The fact being that Stevid was communist once and signs of the past hadn’t left everywhere, Stevid was proud of her history and communism hadn’t been terrible for Stevid – USU had similarities with Stevidian history and this common interest at least meant that MI6 trusted them a little more than your average unknown nation in the world today. However communist economics were flawed in many ways and certainly economic opportunities would be seized on by such Marxists and if it could be turned into a position of strength as well as economic wealth it was highly likely it would happen.
MI6 disliked this move, particularly when the USU remained silent on what ’processing’ actually meant. The actual company itself was called ‘Von Tony Industries and was twined with another company. Of course they hadn’t disclosed any details and being a communist country then the ruling government would have, supposedly, full knowledge of what was really going- alas no comment.
Suspicions grew to a knew height when countries across the globe began taking up Von Tony’s generous offer to take nuclear waste of a country’s hands. Satellite imagery showed the huge containers filled with barrels of radioactive waste being transported to a nearby rig owned by the corporation and then being loaded onto the rig. What happened from there was a mystery, however the containers then went to the mainland to an underground facility presumably for storage. MI6 couldn’t be sure what was going on, but the whole thing reeked of a cover-up or some form of foul play and had to be investigated at the very least.
Plans where made and it was relatively straight forward and genuine. Stevid was a world military superpower and was heavily reliant on nuclear power for both civilian and military needs- nuclear waste was a massive problem. Lack of environmental policies meant that dumping the waste in parts of the central Stevidian Wasteland and on a small island off the northern coastline was an easy option, but Von Tony’s company was offering and Stevid would happily pay up. However MI6 arranged for several operatives to be aboard the Merchant Navy Tanker the S.S. Hari Maru which would be transporting the nuclear waste to the rig in USU. One would be an officer with the tanker’s head officer staff, three would be ordinary workers, another would be a banker who would speak with officials of the Von Tony Industries w/ Eccentric Enterprises to discuss payment with other civilian bankers and government civil servants. Another two operatives would stowaway on the rig while one other would try and smuggle himself to the mainland. All of this to provide a picture on what was really happening.
Of the 7000 drums of waste expected to be sent, 18 would be electronically tagged with 5 of these with a small electrical device that would emit microwaves to paint a visual picture of the surrounding environment the drum was in- sort of like a silent sonar.
The stage was set, it wasn’t a malicious operation and wasn’t intending to catch the company doing anything wrong but the silence was worrying and had to be investigated. An order was dispatched to the company just like the other nations had done, nothing out of the ordinary and soon the wheels of the operation were turning.

OOC: If you'd read the thread more carefully Stevid you'd have realised that it's taking place in a nation called Hydrosteria not the USU ;). USU is my tag name, a throw back to my first foray on here, Hydrosteria is the nation I fiddle with on NS now; i've been contemplating switching with it onto NS but Meh. Unless there are certain points you'd wish to change.
----------
Stevid Infiltration Of Hydrosteria And Von Tony Industries GNWDC
As their plan was set into motion it would proceed in a fairly straight forward manner; as normal the Merchant Navy Tanker the S.S. Hari Maru would be directed to the port town of Eranni to unload it's nuclear cargo and then be transferred to the warehouse for storage before being loaded onto the freighter bound for the ex-oil rig; after all, it would be foolish to allow any possibly armed vessel withen proximity of a radioactive laden site. Given the amount from inital nations the Geological Nuclear Waste Disposal Corp had thus far obtained from other nations the tagged barrels from the Hari Maru would be seen to simply sit withen the warehouse for now untill they brought forwards.
This of course would create problems for MI6's plans, the freighter itself as currently the only vessel which went withen the seven mile prohibited radius around the oil rig. How their operatives would even begin to get near to the oil rig would be an issue they would have to overcome.
The arrival of direct representatives was itself an issue, when they arrived there was little response apart from the intrigued locals, the operation, from even a distance, could be seen to be largely automated. After half an hour however someone of unknown position emerged from the compound, coming to the dockyard to greet whatever personnel Stevid had sent ashore.
"Why hello there." he said by way of greeting, he seemed a pleasent sort, six foot one and dressed in a casual manner but it could be inferred that he wore a bullet proof vest; also he had two pistols strapped too his waist along with a varety of other items, an AK47 hung round his shoulder behind him; he didn't seem overly hostile however.
"The Stevidian Nuclear Energy Division I take it? Most unusual to have direct representatives here, can I help you?"

To The Stevidian Nuclear Energy Division,
With Regards To Thomas James Fox,
To whom it concerns,
On behalf of the corporation I would wish to thank you with choosing an alternative solution to your nuclear disposal needs; indeed, nuclear waste is indeed a great problem across the world, but through ingenuity we have succeeded in devising a solution that fulfills our, and your, needs. We are more than prepared to accept your first delivery before a regular arrangement is made between us.
Pleased as I am, with you governments consideration of conducting buissness with us, I feel compelled to inform you for your own informational purposes that the government of Hydrosteria has no part in this organisation. Endorsing free market capitalism that has spurred on great economic growth in our nation for many years it takes a step back from buisness practices; if however you wish to contact the govenment of Hydrosteria on any economic matters then I ve enclosed the appropriate directory.
Hoping for the best in our economic relations,
Director Von Tony Dewairt,

Von Tony was most pleased with the developing situation, as was his other mental companions, although they grew restless with having to sit in the back of heir colelctive mind whilst he dealt with their buissness oppertunites. Nonetheless, funds were being raised, he sighed inwardly, if only it had been him he'd have invested them into other lucrative projects; but there were so many wants to be fulfilled.

OOC: I'm very sorry to call shenanigans, but there's no way an ultra free-market capitalist state could operate with such a closed-border isolationist mentality. The very nature of capitalism, especially unrestricted laissez faire capitalism, depends upon the constant expansion of the economy via the introduction of new markets for domestically-produced goods and services. Hence one reason why Imperialism took off so rapidly during the nineteenth century; the nations of Europe produced more goods and services than existing markets could consume, forcing them to expand their influence to other nations with existing, untapped markets.
What I'm trying to say is, either you're role-playing a free-market nation like the U.S., or you're role-playing North Korea. I'll let it slide, if only because I was using the spies as a segue into overt intervention, and it's obvious nothing else is going to happen with them. Consider the spies ret-coned.
Also, you'd be surprised what satellites can detect now-a-days. For example, not only detecting the electrical pattern of the ignition sequence of a specific automobile, but then tracking it. Or measuring the displacement of your freighters, to note that they are leaving the oil platform significantly lighter than when they arrived, indicating that the waste is being kept on the platform, which would eventually be mathematically incapable of storing more waste, triggering a direct intervention.
IC:
80 Miles From the GNWDC Oil Platform
The SDFS Rostov, a Virginia-Class nuclear submarine, slowly drew to a halt approximately 80 miles from the GNWDC-owned oil platform, well inside international waters. Following detailed investigation by the Salzland Defense Intelligence Agency, it was decided that a direct intervention against this so-called "Geological Nuclear Waste Disposal Corporation" was necessary. This explained the presence of the Advanced SEAL Delivery System mini-submarine presently attached to the Rostov, as well as a dozen Salzland Defense Force Marine Special Forces also onboad.
Their mission was simple: To board the GNWDC oil platform, undetected if possible, and secure evidence of the improper or illegal handling of nuclear materials. The use of lethal force was authorized, if deemed necessary by the Marine infiltration team. While taking lives would be an unfortunate escalation, the Defense Ministry valued the lives of its personnel more than the lives of foreign nationals. It was vitally important that this mission be accomplished at all costs.
As the SDS detached from the hull of the Rostov, each soldier checked his or her equipment and weapons, ensuring that everything was secure and ready for immediate use. Sound suppressors had been attached to the team's F-1100 rifles, as well as their Colt .45 caliber sidearms. Even though a 7.62x51mm NATO round normally produced far more sound than a proper suppressor could effectively neutralize, satellite imagery indicated that the pumping equipment on the oil rig was active. With the sound suppressors reducing the team's noise signature, it was hoped that the background noise from the machines would be sufficient to cover any necessary weapons fire.
It would take the mini-submarine several hours to reach the oil rig, placing its meticulously-planned arrival at just after 2:00 A.M., local time. Historically, this was the time when security personnel would be at their lowest alert levels, giving the infiltration team its best chance of success.

OOC: I understand where your coming from and thus I completely understand the completely correct points you raised. On the other hand I feel you've gotten the wrong end of the stick; but i'd like to raise my hand here and say that's mostly my fault not yours.
Hydrosteria is a free market economy and has a total absence of laws or regulations regarding it's markets; so with regard to the operations on the oil rig they're doing nothing illegal being withen Hydrosterias boundaries. On the other hand however the society, being objectivist and the law enforcement only being focused on ensuring peace, is currently going through a turbulent period behind the scene which will be the staging point for when I decide to emerge with it onto the international scence; hence the increased paranoia around it's borders can explained through a panicky administration approaching paranoia in it's domestic affairs. As such, the closed borders situation is a fairly recent development; this however does not stop corporatiosn from both withen and outside Hydrosteria continuing their economic pursuits.
After all, if I was modelled on North Korea i'd be forcing my citizens in and be controlling all the buissnesses, and if I was the United States then i'd be applying regulations and taxes to my buissnesses, which i'm not.
In short, there is a reason as to why your spies fell afoul, and i'm sorry this was not explained, but I didn't see how the behidn the scenes operations were relevant in the greater picture. If you would kindly tell me how many spies you dispatched I will gladly tell you how many got through because some of them would have surely done so. And if they decide to sneak in at remote border locations theres nothign really stopping them.
So, I hope this has explained to you the reasons behind this; i'm sorry for the trouble and that you are now convinced i'm not being an ass trying win at any cost ;) Also note that you submarine upon entering Hydrosterias water may draw the attention of the Metropolitan-Regional Association, the govenment of Hydrosteria.
Continue with your plans with spies and or the submarines; i'm open to imaginitive and alternatve ideas in Role Play. Hope that's all been sorted out.
Also I know little or nothing about the sattellites, amazing what you learn each day :) I'll address the things you noted, any other information you would have gathered please tell and i'll inform you of it.
If you're alright with all of this then i'll RP your men getting to the platform dictating your response to the M.R.A force.
----------
The sattellite systems would have revealed that there was an abundance of veicles moving about at a fairly swift pace, seeming to follow set paths as they moved fluidly along the same lines. With regard to the freighter as it chugged back and forth, it would have been interesting to note that on it's return it was indeed lighter than it's return trip, but it was not light enough to suggest that it was empty; instead signifying that it was carrying something on it's way back that happened to make it lighter than it's original journey. Whether this was because it was carrying less or some other factor was as of yet unexplained.
35 Miles From GNWDC Oil Platform
The Project 629 Submarine Force Of Commerce travelled along it's usual patrol path, it was perfectly detectable by any other vessels which happened to be in the area since it made no attempt to disguise itself, after all, it was withen it's own borders. For the current time being however it did not detect the Advanced SEAL Delivery System mini-submarine that had begun making it's way towards the platform.

OOC: Yeah, don't worry about the spies, I was only going to have them basically sit at the port, watch the freighters come in full and come back empty, then kick the whole thing up the line. I'd rather ret-con them so that the whole spy thing never happened, then move on with the SDS insertion instead.
I would recomend that your Golf-Class sub come in after the oil platform mission has been concluded, and I bring in my Virginia-Class to extract my people. Since you're using a diesel-electric boat, if it's running submerged it'll be very hard for my Virginia to detect. Conversely, I'll be able to outrun it.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Will do an IC post later, I have an exam in an hour and studying to do.

(Badump... i'm a very lonely person...)
Eranni Docks, Hydrosteria
Three MI6 operatives ‘representing’ the Stevidian Nuclear Energy Division and another representing the Stevidian Atomic Agency disembarked from the S.S. Hari Maru onto the docklands while the rest of the crew went about their business coordination the transfer of nuclear material. Strangely no one came to meet them but they guessed the dockland facility was highly guarded due to the presence of radioactive material- someone would come. After half an hour of impatient foot-tapping someone did arrive and by the looks of him he was a security guard of some sort.
The operatives restrained themselves from drawing their firearms when they saw the sheer amount of equipment the guard was carrying, but they needed have worried if thing got hot. All three carried the Special ops version of the Equinox pistol that was on the international arms market and that was it, while the guard carried a burly and inaccurate assault rifle and was laden with equipment that would make him sluggish in a CQB and CQC fight- however this mattered not since the man’s demeanour was actually quite friendly towards them.
“That’s correct, also one of us is from the Stevidian Atomic Agency- just keeping tabs on the business dealings since this is government money. We need to speak with the men in charge of this operation. That is non-negotiable, you the eyes of the world are sharp ones particularly when nuclear is being traded willy nilly, and my government would prefer that this transaction wouldn’t appear quite so obviously in our record books. This transaction will be done in person, nuclear material is dangerous stuff and never to be under estimated, we’d rather not have international spies or other foreign governments snooping over my country’s financial dealings with nuclear waste. Speaking over the phone would suffice but only to assure your big boss of our intentions- all off the record of course, the government needn’t know this transaction will be kept from the public eye.”
He jumped slightly at a sudden realisation. “Forgive me sir or all my manners, my name is Edward Royal.” He offered a hand. “Pleased to meet you. But strictly business… we need to talk with the man in charge of the operation. If he’s done his homework on Stevid he’ll realise that he’ll make more profit out of us on one year than of all his other clients combined in three years. If he wants proof then tell him I have all the numbers right here.”
Hari Maru
Another operative was hard at work on board with his laptop. He had an uplink with live satellite imagery direct from MI6 and Special Branch. The Empire had identified an old rust bucket tanker used for hauling the radioactive goods to the oil rig. A trip lasted only a few hours there and back and was currently undergoing replenishment of hazardous material to be taken to the rig. The agent smiled and turned on his ear comm. system.
“Operatives D through G. Target identified- uploading image to your phones. Target is an old freighter now undergoing loading procedures to take cargo to the rig. Tanker Codename ‘Lurch’. Infiltrate ASAP.”
Four operatives were invisible on the docks and had wasted no time in adapting to their surroundings, the lacklustre security around the place was nothing short of a gift, two operatives had already observed movement on and around ‘Lurch’, the uniforms were the same as the facility workers but the guards of course wore different uniforms, security was tighter but would be too difficult distract or sneak past with the right initiative. The other two operatives had made short work of one worker on a smoking break and another cleaning the interior of on of the buildings, dressed like their fellow workman they were safe but security might question them before letting them on the boat but the observers had something in mind- it didn’t matter what really happened because they were staying behind to infiltrate the underground disposal site or swim aboard lurch in case the other two failed.
They wasted no time in putting their plan into action, it was an industrial facility, flammable canisters were everywhere and in less than twenty minutes the two operatives dressed as workmen had managed to smuggle several together out of sight but easily within earshot of the guards near tanker ‘Lurch’. All of a sudden one started running towards the guards crying loudly and pointing in the direction of the canisters, the other slinked towards the check point by a different route while the two observes took aim with their silenced pistols. Several rounds were fired and the gas canisters exploded into a huge fireball. The running operative hit the dirt and the guards rushed to the scene. Screaming and shouting followed as chaos took control as security was compromised. In the confusion the operatives would sneak inside- at least one hoped.
If infiltration somehow managed to fail then one of the observers would simply swim to the tanker but that was probably more dangerous, the military and security companies that work with ships train their men to watch for sneak attacks like that on possible target vessels and also trains to watch for threats at the certain of a boat, that’s SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) for counter terror ops too. These agents were first class spies and found rank ‘n’ file guards and soldiers easy to sneak past and confuse- but one should never under estimate the enemy.

The Stevidians managed to set up their plan with little hassle, security was externally as lax as it seemed; that however didn't mean that there weren't more imaginitive mechanisms sitting around. The compound consisted of three expansive connected warehouses which had been reinforced securely with concrete and were more or less inaccessible aside for one or two openings that the automated forklifts used to convey barrels in and out of; these openings were defended by guards. The operation seemed to be mostly automated, cranes and forklifts trundling about smoothly carrying out their tasks. It seemed organsised in the least.
The "guard" which had met with the Stevidian representatives laughed at Edwards comment.
"Big boss huh? You make us sound like the Mafia." He chuckled, "I might have a fondness for personal security my good man but i'm not a grunt and I wouldn't let "big boss" forget it for a moment; we go quite a way back."
He shook Edwards hand, "The names Gregory, a pleasure to meet you i'm sure. Those are some completely valid points you've raised which I understand completely, technically i'm one of those officials but i'm guessing you'd want to talk to Von Tony yourself; we'll have to do it over web conference though, he's out on the platfo-"
An explosive whoosh was heard as a fireball erupted up into the air a short distance away; Gregory turned to look in it's direction, as shouting from the few personnell in the area could be heard. He looked unfazed by the whole thing, seeming to take it in in his stride; as though this happened rather reguarly. He put his hand to his ear where a communicator was, making a signal to the Stevidians to excuse himself whilst he conducted a conversation.
"Yes I saw it; what caused it? You don't know. Great stuff, no I don't know what could have made that kind of explosion, if you guys have been smoking on the job again I swear i'll kill you. Yeah, well, yes, sort it ou- listen i've got someone else on the line."
He tapped a small box on his waste and was rewarded with a gibberish eminating from his earpiece which caused him to wince.
"Chill will you, yes I kn- yes, well i'm busy, Listen I.... yes I kno-... Oh come on Paine I... Don't talk to me like that. I'm sorry bu-, oh deal with it will you, yes i'll send them. Happy? Oh god sakes... Yes.. Ok, how long? Five minutes? Good. Right ok, ok. Ok bye."
Once more he tapped the smal box.
"Seen it? Yep, can't miss it, go investigate. No I can't, i'm off duty, not armed. Good."
He sighed, "Sorry about that, somethings up, god knows what, I know we're not setting a very good impression but I assure you this hasn't happened before." He waved a hand dissmissivly, "Anyway, if you'll follow me to our offices."
He led them a short way into the compound where the four floor building stood, on their way various workers dashed past with fire extinguishers; more noticably however a team of five guards wearing odd grey armour and armed with significantly more sophisticated weaponry dashed past; nimble despite their loads, each of them were at least six foot and wore helmets; they paid the group no attention and Gregory offered no sugesstion. Leading them to the third floor into a large, yet sparsely decorated, office he invited them to sit down on the chairs provided whilst he set up a connection.
Meanwhile at the "Lurch", the nearby wrkers dashed to the source of the commotion whilst the guards stood by their posts nervously. A few seconds later however a tall slim figure with short blond hair leaned over the side of the vessel and yelled at them to go invetigate, he then went back to his cabin to lock himself in in preperation for their voyage whilst he conducted a loud and angry conversation with Gregory. Leaving the vessel open for boarding by the MI6 operatives.
Once on board the deck would be clear with virtually no cover, the top hatches which the containers were lowered into by an automated crane however were open allowing access to the expansive lower space.

John Penn looked at his watch. 5:15 P.M. He stood up and looked in the mirror on his desk, fixing his black tie in the process. Another man in a black suit walked into the room and took a seat.
"Long day?"
"Yeah. Sorry I was late, all the damn Government cars were taken. So what exactly is the problem?"
"You know GNWDC?"
"Yeah, ofcourse.. They clean up our waste, so what?"
"We aren't sure what they are doing with it afterwards, or why they are so willing to take it."
"Dont be such a conspiracy theorist, their just-"
"Damn it man, Article 7c.4 says we have to know this before our we dispose of Nuclear or Chemical Waste! We pushed the paperwork through, and theres no way in hell im going to lose my job because I overread some paragraph."
"So you think their using it for something? Weapons perhaps?"
"What.. Don't be crazy, we just need to know what happens with it so we don't get canned. Im going to make a phone call later today. I just need to make sure you don't expose this right now."
"Don't worry, I gotta wife and kid I gotta worry about to."
OOC: Leaving soon, so that phone call will be coming later. Note the characters arent worried about WMDs or anything, they just dont want to lose their jobs

(OOC: Sure thing, P.S. At the moment i'm not interested in any active RP, but communications exchanges and limited actve RP is ok)
OOC: Day off work tomorrow so I'll be able to post. Assuming you're all still up for this RP to continue, no?

OOC: I thought our little RP had gone dead, hence why I moved on and did the "last few days..." thing. But yeah I'm happy for us to continue, things didn't seem like they were going to result in the station being blown to bits which would run against wat i've assumed above since we're now running in the past... But yes, let's continue why not, on the assumption that the oil rig isn't destroyed of course. Don't worry, i'm not intending to kill your spies, my defenses will simply deal with them ;)
