Riots In Lingard (MT,OPEN)

Lingards
01-04-2009, 19:52
Yesterday The Federation Congress officially signed into Law the Equal Freedom act, which gives equal rights to the Linardians, a small miniroity group, living mainly in the mountains of the northern Frontier, which historically did not have the same rights.

In responce to this, Racist Group 'PPP', based mainly in the southwest, protested, that protest quickly turned into a riot, that riot has now spread to The Capitol, residents of 'The Rock' who tried to stop the PPP rioters were injured, thus adding more belligerents to the rioting crowds. Thirty Minutes ago, President Watson authorised the Army to move into the City for the First Time in twenty years. Despite the army prescence Rioting continues...

The Rock, Downtown

The Street flicked with flame as fires spread through the ground floors of the tall buildings, the air was full of anger and tension as the massive crowd surged against the Army Battalion's CP that was set up in Lingard Square at the Centre of the City.
Standing behind the front line of riot shields was Private Shaun Jenkins, he gripped his M.A.C-46 nervously at his side, his baton in his hands, a smaller circle riot shield in his other hand. The Army appeared to be holding the line, Jenkins allowed himself a releived smile.
"Incoming!" One of the Soldiers yelled, seconds later a Moltov Cocktail exploded to Jenkiins right, narrowly missing a sergeant

The Rock, Embassy District

The Army presence around the Embassy District was tight. The Soldiers had set up barricades on all access roads and DnA-30T's flew overhead, packed with soldiers ready to move to hotspots.

OOC: Mind if I RP the Angenterian Ambassador? I know I didn't apply for one, but roll with me here. :P

IC: Imperial Ambassador Henry Marks folded his arms, and stood at the large window of his office. Two stories below, he watched as Lindgardian soldiers sealed off the embassy district. Below him, the members of his security staff, three dozen Angenterian Imperial Guardsmen, were busy sealing off the embassy grounds.

Marks watched on as soldiers of all different nationalities ran two and fro, trying to make the people as safe as possible. A small click behind him indicated that somebody was coming in. Turning, he looked into the face of Marcus Jackson, a Guard Sergeant and his chief of security.

"Ambassador." He said curtly. "The rioters have reached the downtown district."

"It seems like this little 'protest' is quickly turning into something much bigger." Marks replied, turning his attention back to the window. A Lingardian APC rolled by the embassy, with a few infantrymen moving not too far behind. "Do you think it will spread here?"

"It's probable. Judging in the direction they're moving in, the chance is pretty high."

"I see." Marks sighed. "Have we had any contact from the Lingardian government?"

"Not at this time." Jackson replied. "Ambassador, I suggest that we evacuate-"

"We're not leaving yet." Marks said sternly, turning to face the Sergeant. "As a diplomatic envoy, we are the representation of Angenteria here. What does fleeing at the first sign of trouble give the impression of? We will not shy away in the face of some civilian rioters."

Jackson nodded, and formed a sharp salute. "As you wish, ambassador."

A man walks into the Master's office, a cool leathery room with five chairs in a circle and a desk at the corner. Leo Viteore is sitting at the desk, pouring over some informative reports. "Sir, it appears there is another civil war going on.." said the man. Leo looked up, "Interesting, give me the paper." he said. Viteore looked over it with a quick glance, then turned on his laptop and opened up Amethyst Watch.

Angenteria Embassy

A Major ran over to the Embassy Enterance and asked the guardpost to let him in

The soldier in the guard post was, at first, reluctant to let the man through, but upon seeing the man's identification, snapped into a sharp salute.

"Major." Pressing a button in his guard station, the cast-iron gates slowly swung open. Two more Imperial Guardsmen, carrying ANG-99 Assault rifles (OOC: A heavily modified version of the QBZ-95) at the ready. The entire embassy grounds had been placed on high alert, and security was being tightened as a result.

"How can we assist you, sir?"

"I see." The first guardsman, a corporal, replied. He turned to the other guardsman. "Inform the Ambassador he has a visitor."

"Yes, sir." The first soldier ran off.

"If you'll come with me, sir." The corporal addressed the officer. 'I'll show you in."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I see." Ambassador Marks said into the phone. "Show him in." A pause. "Very well. Thank you, trooper." Putting down the phone, he turned to address Sergeant Jackson.

"Looks like the Lindgardians aren't just sitting on their asses, Sergeant."

Jackson chuckled. "That's good to know." His smile faded as sound of stamping boots neared the office door. A knock was heard from the other side.

"Come in."

The door opened, and the Lindgardian officer stepped through. Marks stepped forward.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Major." He held out his hand. "Henry Marks, I'm the Angenterian ambassador."

The Zinairian ambassador watched the riots on the news. Most of his staff was gathered around the panel of television screens in his office. The group was entirely silent until the chief of security spoke.

"Sir, we need an exit plan. We don't have any guarantees that the army will keep the rioters out and we're not equipped to defend the embassy against such a large crowd."

The ambassador nodded, "It's getting bad. We should be prepared to leave if necessary."

"The helicopter can hold ten," the security chief said, "we can get you, critical staff and a security detachment out of the area within the hour. The remainder can travel by car."

"Where do you propose we go?"

"As soon as we get confirmation that there is a secure airfield nearby, we'll have the FA send a jet."

"Do you really think it's necessary to leave the country?"

"It's the safest option, sir."

"Set it in motion, but we're not leaving unless absolutely necessary."

Although he clearly would have been happier if the ambassador was evacuated immediately, the security chief nodded and left the office to make preparations.

The ambassador addressed the rest of his staff, "You should probably pack up your personal belongings, just in case."

Message:
Hello Richard Gredenko. This is ViZionarian Ambassador Quincy Jackson. I have barely done so much as to settle into our embassy when this large riot has begun. We have a total of fifty Presidential Guardians and a large storage of weaponry. We are willing to assist in the defense of the embassy district with twenty five of our Presidential Guardians and their respective equipment.

In addition, I have been in contact with President Barry Gio, who has agreed to offer support in stopping these riots. We are prepared to deploy 2,000 ViZionarian troops, equipped mostly with non-lethal weaponry to prevent further damage being done, and limit any future injuries or deaths due to those rioters who chose to be more physical.

Thank you for your time,

A group of about 15 protestors were throing rocks at the gate. The guard moved back to the better protected secondary position. He shouted out to them:
"Do not attempt to break in the ebbassy grounds! We will open fire on any person climbing the wall or gate!"

A molotov cocktail flew over the gate and hit the cement roof of the secondary position. "Fucking outragous" the guard muttered to himself.

On the roof a guard with a SLC-2000(http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu322/NWIpics_2009/1SLR-2000.jpg) took aim and shot the molotov thrower in the arm. The protestors scattered. The guard at the gate raised a thumb up.

Offshore, or in the river, whichever is where the ship can be.

The Captain of the vessel, one Saben Cross, chuckled lightly as he watched the smoke rising from the city. "Whoo, that's one impressive'bout of protesting right there. Eh Abassador?"

The Abassador sighed lightly, shaking his head... ""The Embassy isn't complete yet, but the docks are there. I am sure we can dock if need-be." He looked through his own Binoculars, before cursing. "Just what we need, allied to a government not even liked by it's own people."

"Aw, now it can't be that bad. From the news i heard this was like, a small racist sect." The captain remarked, his tail not wagging to back up his 'reassuring' remark. His ears were back with alittle bit of worry.

"Racist? Good lord, one can only imagine how xenophobic they will be." The Ambassador sighed, "Can you get your wireless operator online? That mob looks to be heading towards the Embassy district."

"Aye Ambassador. I'll get him now."

To: All Embassies in Lingard's Capital City

This is the Rogue Nation of Sutufinai's Ambassador to all Embassies within Lingard's Capital city. We have been watching the riots from just off shore and are rather worried about them Rioters overrunning the Embassy District. Please note, that our Embassy is not built yet, however the large ship-dock is built and ready. We will bel anding out security detatchment to secure this dock. Our steamer, while not modern, should have the capacity to take on all Embassy Personnel who cannot be evacuated by Helicopter. It is large enough that I doubt the rioters could damage or attack it in any way.

Should you wish to begin Evacuation, our security force is preparing a checkpoint at the end of our dock as I speak and you may start to send personnel over. If we are forced to leave the area with your diplomatic personnel we will drop them at a nearby Lingard Port city for you to pick them up at your earliest capability.

Thankyou,
Ambassador Allen Vicardi, Sutufinai Center for Ambassadorial Affairs, Ambassador to the Fenderation of Lingard.

Sutfen Docks

Meanwhile, at the docks, as promised, the Sutfen security unit was using building supplies from the Embassy-in-construction to begin building a checkpoint and sufficiently secure outer perimeter to hold off the Rioters if it came to that. They used bricks, wood, and Bags of grain and such off the steamer to facilitate their defenses of the Dock. An opening bettween the defensive lines was as wide as a Semi to allow even the widest limo through.

Four of the six Greater War hounds were saddled with their riders mounted on them. M1s sheathed in the saddle sheath they carried electrified pole-mounted shock batons to dissaude any rioters should they come or try and cut off the docks from the main Embassy Road. They didn't leave the designated grounds of the Sutfen embassy, but they made sure the currently un-walled land was secure and safe.

It was apparant however any vehicles used by the Mebassy staff that came to the dock would have to be left behind as they couldn't be loaded onto the ship.

The protestors were back. It seems that the Military had cornered them in, they couldent leave the area. They were also quite upset with their friend getting shot. They were throwing bricks and molotov cocktails at the yard.

"Damn it, Jim, why the fuck did your guy shoot?" Vilder asked.
"Well, a molotov cocktail isa leathal weapon..." Jim Teller was starting to feel like this day cant get much worse.
"Great. Now there are like 50 of them out there and its..." A burst of rounds was heard "They shoot at us..." Vilder finished with a cynical grin.

The guard on the roof was [reetey messed up. On of the bullets ricochade into his shoulder. He was an Ex-Parliament Guard. So basically that just made him extremely pissed.
"For fuck sake! Stand down or I will shoot to kill!"
A protestor stood up from behind a turned over car and took another pot-shot at him with a semi-automatic hunting rifle. The guard fired a 2 round burst that caught the protestor on the chest and took him down. He fired two more burst to the feet of the other protestors. They ran across the street and took cover behind some burned and broken-glassed vehicles.

Vilder picked up his phone again. He dialed the same noumber and waited.

"Sir the message was sent out now. The Ten riders are prepared to make the move at the OK. Their positions on the defenses at the dock have been bulstered by arming some of the Crew of the Entente." The security chief would throw up a salute before looking to the Ambassador and Captain of the vessel. The captain was busy watching the smoke and such from the direction of the gunshots while the Ambassador was leaning over the radioman in his chair.

"We have to wait for an OK before we can begin moving our relief unit into Lingard territory. I don't like it either, but we both know what kind of political screw up that could cause." Stated the Ambassador while the captain thumped his hand on the wall.

"Damn it, we both know what kind of hell those guys at that Embassy are probably going through. Those gunshots sound more like our M1s instead of assault rifles. That's civilian hunting rifles. What if they get smart and start getting guns with scopes and -sniping- those Embassy Guards next?" Snarled the captain, his hackles raised as his tail lashed infuriatingly. "OK. You can replace one of the guards here, and he will go to the roof" Vilder told the now armed diplomat. "I am going to the 1st floor, Jim come with me"

The embassy was a madhouse, where with the events unfolding across Lingards and in this very city. Twenty five Presidential Guardians were preparing to join Lingardian troops to protect the embassies from any hostilities.

In addition, the another twenty five Presidential Guardians were stationed throughout the embassy, armed and ready to fight off anyone who dared do any harm to this plot of sovereign ViZionarian land.

1,000 ViZionarian troops were preparing to board various transport aircraft. While the majority of the weaponry was non-lethal - among that being tear gas, flash bangs, batons, rubber bullets, and halothane - some lethal weapons were included. In less than two hours, the six aircraft needed to transport these 1,000 troops would be in air.

An additional 1,000 troops, and the same weaponry, were preparing to board aircrafts at Cordilane Airforce Base. While most of these troops had never experienced battle, many of them had deal with riots before and knew how to handle such situations.

"How's the situation, major?" Asked the aide, "We already have an evacuation plan in place, so I'm not entirely sure what you could do, except perhaps offering a military escort to our motorcade."

In his office, the ambassador peeked out through the drawn curtains. We noticed the heavily armed ViZionarian soldiers stationed at their embassy nearby and couldn't help but roll his eyes.

"It's atrocious, really," he said to his personal secretary, who remained in the office, "they're armed to teeth all in the unlikely event that the president someday ends up there. I heard rumors that they have flamethrowers! For god's sake, what kind of sensible person thwarts an assassination attempt with a flamethrower?"

"I don't believe a sensible person would, sir."

The ambassador continued on his tirade, "Exactly! It's disgusting really, I suppose they think that because they're such a 'world power' they can plop fifty soldiers down anywhere and call it an embassy when all it really is is a potential vacation home for their crazy bastard of a president. They have no interest in actual diplomacy, it's all about having these insane safe houses across the globe."

The secretary was somewhat taken aback by the sudden torrent of strong opinion and couldn't do anything but nod.

Radio To Lingard/Nachmere Chopper

"This is SNAT Entante We have cleared the dock for an LZ for your chopper and have our medical personnel standing by should you choose to land here. I am betting a true hospital would give better medical treatment. But good medical treatment is worth shit if people start throwing firebombs through hospital windows. You are clear for landing if you want. Over."

Sutfen Docks

"Y'know what, hell widdis. We got crazy rioters running amok everywhere. We gotta figure something out before this shit really -does- go live and they have to use this dock as a helipad." One of the Cavalrymen muttered, his hands gripping the stun-staff worriedly. "I'm worried Cap, when will we get the go-ahead?"

"The Go-ahead for what?" muttered back as his Greater War Hound came alongside the private, "Keep your head on straight. The fighting seems to have slowed."

There was a pause before a large explosion rocked the area, a mushroom cloud of fire and smoke rose from outside the embassy compound as some smart rioter decided to set fire to a Gas-station.

"SHIT! What the hell? C'mon!" Shouted one of the Infantrymen down at the docks, his surprised cry able to be heard by the cavalrymen. The Captain's hackled rose as he pointed at the ground. "Stay here." He murmurred. With that the hound and rider rode back to the docks.

--

"C'mon, sooner or later this whole situation is going to blow up. I want to move my Cavalry elements out into the Embassy areas to allow us some warning before they appear coming down our throats. We already know they have firearms." Stated the Security Commander, to the Ambassador.

"But did they state we were Okay to move?" Mumbled the Ambassador, "I'm worried that having our cavalry moving through their streets may be considered an act of war."

The security officer scoffed, "C'mon sir! Look outside, listen to the radio! The ViZionarians have deployed troops! The Wolf Hold has deployed peacekeepers! What do you want? Sir... We have three nations troops, two unknown nations mind you, wandering the streets in a way that could blow up at any moment. I want some men out there to be able to come back and -tell- us when and where it happens before we have Humans knocking on our door with anti-tank rockets and Heavy machineguns!" The Security officer's hackles were raised, his ears were back, and his tail was lashing behind him. Yet somehow he managed to get a mix of fury and desperate whining in his voice at the same time. Something not easy to to...

The Ambassador grimaced, "Damnit, Alright, send out patrols. I want a group of four cavalrymen to head for the Nachmere Embassy to make sure they are Okay." He resumed pacing across the deck as the Cavalry officer saluted,

"Yes SIR!" He turned to run outside and literally leap off the ship's deck onto the back of his Greater War Hound. The Hound was well trained and began moving before the Cavalry officer said anything. When the Cavalry officer and his mount waved the 10 troop column together he designated he would lead the Four Cavalryman unit to the Nachmere embassy, one group of two would say behind to assist in the defense of the Dock while the two other groups of two would head out in ninety degree angles from the Nachmere Embassy.

With little more to say the groups moved out. Embassies all through the district would see the SUV-sized-at-the-shoulder Greater War Hounds with their Canid Cavalry riders moving through the streets in pairs. Each of them had side arms, an M1 Garand sheathed in a rifle-sheath on their saddles, and a long lance-like pole tipped and wrapped with Stunner unit. So a poke would deliver a debilitating shock (Like a rather large tazer) and a sweep across multiple people would as well. The Cavalry Mounts were armored in skirts of Bullet-proof woven Kevlar and that covered in plates of Anti-ballistic plate. The riders were wearing basic SWAT-style body armor with helmets. It would be of note that the riders also had medium-range tazer guns and close-range Nightsticks to defend themselves.

There were only 10 of the Massive Cavalry units, but they were a formidable and very noticeable sight when they moved past. You see, the Cavalry Mounts themselves had a habit of growling and snarling at anyone who got too close. It was apparent that they were keying of the Tension given off by their riders and they were tense and on edge as well.

Greater War Hounds were bred as Combat Cavalry Mounts, trained to be able to kill just as well as their riders they are a formidable beast. Unlike Horses these mounts have been bred over the years to be the size of an SUV (Think Suburban) at the shoulder. They are heavily muscled under that fur and are usually wearing some type of Kevlar skirs and Body-armor plated armor over the Kevlar.

Cavalry Riders: http://i44.tinypic.com/14mwbqs.jpg Normally unarmored, these Cavalrymen are wearing the Black SWAT armor from the Embassy's Armory.

"A pleasure to make you acquaintance, Major." The ambassador said, retracting his hand after giving a firm handshake. He turned back towards the window as yet more soldiers ran by in the street below. "Tell me, how bad is the situation in the city? I've heard that your congress had authorized the deployment of troops to the city to contain the rioters."

Nearing Lingardian Airspace
The twelve transport aircraft were closing in on Lingardian Airspace.

Lingardian Air Control, this is VZT1105, lead transporter. Request clearance to land in The Rock.

The 2,000 troops and their equipment were ready to go at touchdown.

ViZionarian Embassy, Lingards
Twenty five troops made their way out of the Embassy and towards the district's border. Meanwhile, the remaining twenty five troops held down the property, which was locked down. Not a weapon was unprepared to be used.

Ambassador Quincy Jackson sat in his office, the windows covered by sheets of metal. Looking over some paperwork, an embassy office stepped into the office. "Quincy, things aren't looking good. This could soon enough become a warzone the way it's being handled. Would you like to have an emergency evacuation? We've got a vehicle ready to go."

The Ambassador didn't look up. After a couple of seconds, he waved the person off. "No, no, I am not evacuating right now. I am here for a job, and the hell will I drop my job. Particularly when my job is to help deal with this whole situation." he said. The official turned and began to head out when the Ambassador looked up, "Wait. I need to send another message to Richard Gredenko."

Status: Urgent
From: Ambassador Quincy Jackson
To: Richard Gredenko, Secretary of State, Federation Of Lingard
Subject: Riots
Message:
Hello again Richard Gredenko. Please do note that ViZion cannot promise to get involved in this militarily, particularly given the fact that we have one of our long-time allies, Xeraph, going through a rebellion, another great ally of ours, Jarridia, heading into economic chaos, and with the recent announcement made by our President, we are keeping our eyes on the sky should any hostile forces decide to strike at us.

However, do also know that ViZion does not back down on assistance to friendly nations such as yours. In showing your willingness to allow our troops and weaponry on our embassy, President Barry Gio does look highly upon your nation, as do I. We will do what we can to help you should further help be needed. This includes should any nation take advantage of you in your current shaken state.

Also note that if our embassy does come under attack, there is a heightened possibility - and by heightened I mean almost positive - that our government will send in armed troops to clear away any hostile forces, rather they are armed with spears or much, much more, and will evacuate this premise.

Given this is sovereign ViZionarian land, and we are of ViZionarian citizenship, our government will take all steps necessary to protect us. And do also be aware of the fact that our heavy weaponry is for usage in this situation - our troops understand they have full right to use everything here if it is to prevent a hostile overtake of our Embassy and any ViZionarian injuries, deaths, or kidnappings. This is something you should be aware of so you know where we are at right now.

The 2,000 ViZionarian troops on their way currently are here for crowd control, and will use non-lethal approaches to try to stop any violence. However, there will be some lethal weaponry that they will use if 100% required to prevent the deaths of innocent Lingardian civilians or any ViZionarian should such a need be required.

Thank you for your time,

Quincy Jackson

Lingard News 24

Latest reports indicate that rioting has subsided in much of the outer cities, with rioting still going strong in the capitol. Much of the 'PPP' who started this riot have relocated to the Capitol, seemingly in hopes of causing as much mayhem there. Whilst smaller detachments of the Army will remain in the outer cities, much of the deployed forces are now heading towards the Capitol.
We are also receiving reports that outside help is being called in, due to the large numbers of rioters in the capitol, it is unsure when order will be restored.

The Rock, International Airport

"VZT1105, you are cleared to land runway 2, Lt General Jemkin will meet you on the tarmac" The Tower responded

"We'll have a convoy of five armored SUVs leaving here should an evacuation occur," the security chief said, "They will contain almost all of the staff and some of our security. The ambassador, critical staff and a security detachment will be going by helicopter. We would appreciate an escort, at least for the convoy. What's the nearest secured aerodrome? The Mi-26's had arrived in The Capital and began to hover over the rioters.
General Volgin's translator took a megaphone and spoke, "Citizens of Lingard, Cease and desist your rioting or face the consequences of your native law. If you do not comply with the latter then you will face the law of The USR, Capital Punishment."

General Volgin turned to the radios on his Mi-26 and spoke, "Men, We do not care about the consequences, if the citizens do not comply to demands within 2 hours then open fire. Begin the tear gassing and drop down into the city streets!"

The Peacekeeping soldiers began launching tear gas into the streets and dropped ropes from the Mi's and into the streets.

WHS Otter, Off Lingards Coast
An out of breath courier was running through the halls and corridors of the Albion-Class Landing Platform Dock. He was trying to deliver a message from the CIC at the front of the ship to the Military Police HQ at the other end of the ship. The inter ships phonelines were down and radios were on the fritz, just his look though able seaman Wilson. As he slid down one more ladder he came to a hatch labled 5th/9th MPG JOC. He burst through the hatch to come into a room full of officers planning what they were going to do once they got the go word. Seaman Wilson stared for a moment and then just said one word..."Evangeline". The room stared for a second and then burst into motion as officers recognised the mission go word. Seaman Wilson jumped out of the way of the hatch as the officers began running out of the control room, he stared from the corner of the room as radio operators obviously working on differnt frequencies to the Navy began relaying orders.

"Evangeline! Evangeline! Evangeline! All units go! Go! Go!"

"Delta 2, solid copy on evangeline, dusting off now"
"Delta 4, aboard Sprite 5 and moving towards Lingards"
"Delta 3, solid copy forming up with Delta 5 and 4 we are heading for the city proper"
"Delta 1 here, dusting off then proceding alongside Delta 2 and Delta 6, to secure landing ground for rest of force."

"Delta...this is JOC, be advised we have reports of threats to multiple embassies in diplomatic district you may be diverted from current course to counter situation as it develops. However the security of the docks is paramount to the sucess of the deployment. JOC out"

As Wilson looked on as two majors looked over a table with a city map laid out on it. "Okay if we secure this unused dockyard here, we can begin off loading police and equipment."
"Good idea, depoly the LCACs now, so once Delta secure the dockyard they can begin off loading. Corporal you get that order?"

"Yes sir, Launch LCACs, land when Delta has dockyard, got it!" The young corporal sat back down on his radio set and began re laying orders.

Embassy District
The three dark blue UH-60s began to circle the embassy district observing the rather wanton agression shown by the so called peacekeeping troops. "Do they understand that will only serve to make the situation worse?" Asked a young officer from the back of the helicopter.
"Obviously not, okay pilot I need you to take us in low and over there heads" Called Captain Macerson, a long standing vetran of the crisis response unit. Grabing his megaphone has the helicopter flew low, his men aiming there rifles out the windows and the door gunners searching the crowd for hostiles he began broadcasting. "This is the Police, cease and desist immeditly otherwise you will face the full extent of the law, I repeat you have 1 minute to cease and desist!"

Abandoned Dockyard
"Sprite 1 in positison, Delta 6 is preparing to fast rope"
"Sprite 4 above target, ropes away"
"Sprite 3, ropes are go!"
As the thre UH-60s hovered in different locations of the dockyard, the fast ropes dropped and the black clad figures dropped down the ropes. The only identifying mark was 'POLICE' emblazoned across there backs and the fronts of the riot shields carried by some members.
"Delta 1 has the main gate secure, no reistance."
"Delta 6 is approaching main wharehouse, no resistance"
"Delta 2 is securing waterfront, we can see the LCACs, no resistance"
Fast approaching the abandoned dockyard were a swarm of LCACs launched from the LPDs, these LCACs were full of military police and their equipment.

As they prepared with the ten minutes, just in case, four M240s were prepared and set up. M1s, and Lee-Enfields were prepared.

At -exactly- ten minutes, The defenders of the pairport would hear "TUNK! TUNK! TUNK!" of grenade launchers going off as the Concussion Grenades were fired into the crowd below, followed up by the PAVA grenades, and lastly the Teargas Canisters were fired in. Bright flashes and "KA-WHAM! - KA-WHAM! - KA-WHAM!" signaled the detonation of the Concussion grenades as they hit the ground in the rioters, followed by the dull "Pop"s of the PAVA grenades and teargas canisters.

Lastly the "Just in case" weapons opened up as rubber bullets were hosed into the crowd.

Finally when it all fell silent the Cavalry moved in, shotguns loaded with beanbag rounds were easy to see as the cavalry plowed in. The Electro-lances (Basically, as posted awhile ago, pole mounted stun batons. Really long stun batons.) could be heard zapping people into unconciousness. It soon became apparent how the cavalry could move in the teargas and PAVA. Both their mounts and the Cavalrymen were wearing gas-masks.

Here and there a gun would go off as a rioter who wasn't quite effected fired at the cavalrymen or took potshots at the Sutfen occupied building. You could hear a scream once or twice as a Sutfen soldier in the building was hit by something or other... However, the guys firing the guns could be heard, barely, over the snarl right before the splash of gore onto the ground. Greater War Hounds may be wearing masks, but they still had claws.

The Sutfen had pushed the rioters back for now, but they had no doubt the rioters would be back if the people in the airport didn't move out and move out now.

Orbiting Capital

The three blackhawks were patrolling over the city dropping tear gas and firing off the odd rubber bullet at groups of rioters who were becoming way to violent. As they began there fourth orbit they were still trying to keep clear of the Hirdoria aircraft that where flying in a very hostile manner. The blackhawks suddenly then had to begin evasive maneuvers as the Hirdoria soldiers and aircraft began firing wantonly.

"Delta 3 to JOC, Delta 3 to JOC we have Hirdoria aircraft firing on civilians! Request permission to engage over. I repeat requesting permission to engage"

"JOC to Delta 3, are you taking fire?"

"Negative JOC, all hostile fire is directed towards civilians"

"Sorry Delta 3, hold fire, Lingard government probably doesn't want us to spark of an international incident, ROE says hold fire unless you are in danger in regards to foreign forces."

Cutting the radio link, Staff Sargent Rory swore loudly and looked out the side door of the blackhawk. "Damn it!they just shot a child! Corporal pass me the AT4, I'm stopping that Mi-24!" The corporal being addressed looked uncertain but then passed the AT4 launcher over to Rory. just as he positioned himself so the backwash wouldn't take out the blackhawk. However by the the Hirdoria aircraft had ceased fire, Staff Sargent Rory placed the AT4 back down and looked down at the situation down below in the street. "Pilot deploy ropes, we are going to help those people" Reaching back for his radio he picked up the JOC frequency. "JOC this is Delta 3 we are roping into street Alpha 5-4 to assist with civilian casualness, you better have the aid station set up at the docks"

"Solid Copy Delta 3, Delta 5 and 2 are doing the same, Marines are deploying to secure docks and we already have the aid post set up"

The blackhawk gave a blast of its hooter to clear the street of people so it deploy its ropes, hovering above the street the twelve men deployed out of the blackhawk. Hitting the ground and running to a street corner, Staff Sargent Rory saw the hostile faces of the people, he ignored them however and ran over to a small girl who had her leg blown off by a 30mm round from a Mi-24. Taking a dressing out of his pocket and placing it on the wound, his hand getting drenched in blood he looked around, yelling "Does anyone know this girl? Who knows this girl"

The blackhawk resumed its patrol watching over the teams deploying over the city. Sirens could be heard from the direction of the now Wolf Hold occupied docks as police vehicles began deploying across the city in an attempt to help the civilians injured by the Hirdorian aggression.

"Sir we are ready"

"Begin broadcasting then"
A leftenant nodded and then sat down at the main-caster radio set, switching it to a multi-frequency broadcast he began relaying the message.

"This is Task Force Unity of The Wolf Hold, we have occupied a unused dock complex and have set up HQ there, this is a request to all foreign forces in the Lingards to check in with us, so by request of the Lingard government we can co-ordinate operations. We have quick response teams standing by to help any foreign forces, please request if you need help. Forward HQ, Wolf Hold occupied docks

The once abandoned dockyards had been complelty transformed into a hive of activty. Police RG32Ms lined up next to abandoned wharehouses, one of the UH-60s was re-fueling on a parking lot that had been turned into a makeshift landing pad. LCACs were constantly arriving from the LPDs that could be clearly seen from the waters edge. Alongside the LPDs was a Wasp-Class amphibous attack ship, from which CH-47 Chinooks were ferrying two companies of Wolf Hold marines that were to secure the docks and allow the Military police to patrol the city.

At the main gate they were filling sandbags and reinforcing the flimsy iorn gate. Marines raised the fallen flagpole and from that that they raised two flags, the flag of The Wolf Hold and then the red cross symbolisng the presence of an aid station. Already patrols were brining back wounded civilians into the aid post

The fast roping Lingard troops made a few of the marines and police raise there rifles at the troops but they lowered their rifles as they noticed Major Khaz walk over.

Adressing the Lingard troops, "Major Khaz, Task Force Unity, how may I help you?"

Meanwhile Sargent Fairchild had been listening into a MEDVAC request by Telviran troops, he looked at a map and noticed that the Wolf Hold aid post was closer then any Lingard facility, so using his breaker codes he broke into the frequency.

"This is Task Force Unity FOB to MEDEVACing unit, the Aid post is closer to your position then any Lingurd facility, please re-direct the flight"

A rather large Pickup truck, with what looked to be improvised armor was rumbling down the road towards them. It bore no markings and looked to be a rioter vehicle by the fact there had to be 12 civilians in the bed of the truck.

As the truck passed the 600 Yard line, a deep *BOOM!* roared over their heads form the building, dust, some small peices of glass, and some pebbles fell down onto them... If they looked up they'd seen an old 20mm Anti-Tank rifle muzzle sticking out of the wall-sized window above. The truck's Front end was caved in and the engine looked to be dragging on the ground. The civilians scattered, even the Driver and passenger in the cab.

Someone was watching over those commandos it seemed, shooting out engine blocks of civilian vehicles moving towards the Commandos. The Door to the building opened as a unit of Sutfen soldiers, six to be exact, moved out to cover the Commandos.

The Commander of the Sutfen squad yelled at the Telviran Corporal, "Get inside, we have a simple field Hospital set up in an inner-office. We'll try and get 'im stablized."

Inside, tables were overturned, boxes of printer paper were stacked like sandbags. Rubber-Bullet armed troops were hunkered down watching the entrances. A Medic's Red Cross patch was literally stuck in a nearby wall next to a door with a Bayonet marking the Field Hospital.

Are main aim is still that of policing but it appears that the populace is well past rioting and this is a full scale revolution" Major Khaz replied to the Lingard Officer.

A sudden explosion at the main entrance of the Dockyard drew Major Khaz's attention. A burning police cruiser lay on its side with two military police crushed underneath it. The cries of 'medic' and 'corpsman' went up from the marines guarding the gate as they began letting off rounds at what had been an RPG team hiding in a ditch. The 'crack, crack, crack' of repeated gunfire erupted from the front gate followed by the duller 'thud' of the 50 calibre HMG which had been stationed in a guard tower overlooking the frontal gate. Major Khaz turned back to the Lingard officer and gestured to the front gate, "You see, this is no longer a riot, this is a war"

"This is C2 to Hotel 5-1 we have a Telvarian commando unit requesting immeidate medevac three blocks from your current position, they have popped smoke, can you see if you can get to them?" The UH-60 Blackhawk was orbiting low over the city, trying to pick out spots of paticular trouble or groups of foregin forces who seemed to be spread out across the city.

"This is Hotel 5-1, we can try to get there. Can you give us directions to there location? Over." Hotel 5-4 was the lead vehicle in a convoy of 8 RG32Ms belonging to the Wolf Hold Marine Corp, although the original deployment orders had been for just military police, Task Force Unity Command had decided due to the changing situation in the Lingard to deploy Marine units to assist forgein forces.

"Hotel 5-1 you need to take the next right onto MSR-3 proceed down that raod for 400 meters and then take a left next to Airport main entrance, proceeded into the airport and then head straight for building marked LR-4 on your GPS. You got that Hotel 5-1?"

"Solid copy C2, progrssing onto MSR as we speak. C2 can you give me an update on the local situation?"

"Affirmative Hotel 5-1. It appears that Sutufinai personel have taken them into a building marked LR-5, my only guess is that they have a small aid post in the building. We are going to try to contact them now."

"Recived C2, we are turning off the MSR now and progressing to airport. Updates us as soon as you get in contact with the forces on site." Just as Staff Sargent Moreland finished his message to the C2 bird did an RPG flash across the front of the RG32M and then small arms fire comming from near by buildings start impacting on the armour. "Shit! Floor it! Get us out of here! Hey, Parkson get the 50 up and firing wake the frack up!" Staff Sargent Moreland then pulled his MAC-303 rifle up from next to him and began shooting out of his wondow as the vehicle accelerated.

Meanwhile on the C2 bird, complelty oblivous to the situation Hotel 5 was now in, Leftenant Colonel Anderson flickedon his directional radio and pointed it in the general direction of the Telvarian and Sutufinaian Position, this way all radios in that are would recive his transmission. Wolf Hold Convoy

A spray of blood would coat the side of the lead Humvee as a small-armed Combatant was nearly ripped in half. All at once a three-ton Greater warhound leaped behind the lead Humvee and then leaped to the other-side. The Cavalryman on his back, perched in his saddle never stopped firing his semi-automatic shots which were well placed and obviously from a trained marksman who'd been shooting Hound-back for years. But, really... The six more that appeared around the convoy weren't the most amazing thing as on the -rooftops- themselves, somehow, a pair of Greater War hounds were leaping from rooftop to rooftop as the riflemen on their backs took out rocketeers.

None of the Body-armored beasts or Cavalrymen went down. However, bullets could be seen impacting on their combat armor, not blood... yet. However, these Cavalry Hounds were making no execptions to the enemy. Their armor, even if they were bleeding, was drenched in blood from the whole-sale massacre they'd been running. The lead cavalryman led his hound up to the lead vehicle and yelled over the din, "We'll try and cover your sides and rear. Plow the road Sergeant!"

C2 Bird orbiting LR-5

"C2 to all units occupying LR-5, we thank you for the covering fire, it seems to be getting pretty hairy down there. Also Telvarian Commando Unit, CMTs on the convoy are ready to receive your casualty and we will CASEVAC him back to FOB Dragon which has been set up 3 miles from your position in an abandoned warehouse in the centre of the city. From there we will have a MH-6 MEDEVAC him back to the WHS Otter so he can receive proper medical treatment."

Leftenant Colonel Anderson looked over the side of the Blackhawk and down onto the street. He could see RPGs and small arms coming from all angles directed towards the convoy and the strange cavalry beasts that had come to there aid. Whilst Anderson had field commanded the ground elements on the ground his counter part Leftenant Colonel Williams had little to do as there had been no air assets involved other then the six Blackhawk’s call sign ‘sprite‘. Anderson stopped looking over the edge and turned his head to Williamson, "You got any more air support? It's getting pretty hot down there?"

"Yeah we just got authority from the Lingard government to deploy two AH-1Zs and several AH-6 Littlebirds, tell your men on the ground that before they call in any strikes they need to mark the target with a strobe or something as we are in a civilian area and I am not having strikes mistakenly called in on a crowd of refugees by a panicky conscript.

"Understood" Flicking a few switches on his radio so he picked up the Hotel 5s frequency along side the Sutufinai & Telvarian frequencies. "All units on the ground be advised that air support is available on request. Targets must be lit up with IR lasers, IR Strobes, smoke or another indicator before strike can commence."

Wolf Hold Convoy

"Sutufinai Cavalry is covering the flanks! We also got covering fire from units in LR-5 we should be able to pull out of this" Staff Sergeant Moreland said as another RPG shot past his RG32M "Sir! Looks like Vehicle 7 got clipped by an RPG good and proper, I can see smoke coming out of his bonnet!" Called out Corporal Parkson who was squeezing off 50 calibre rounds in between words. Parkson then saluted a cavalry man and his hound as they tore up a RPG armed insurgent.

"Thanks for the heads up Parks, now watch your frackin sector!" Moreland picked up the inter-vehicle radio handset, flicking a few switches so he was off the command net and onto the all vehicle frequency, "Hotel 5-7 this is Hotel 5-1, we can see smoke coming out of your bonnet, are you ok?" After a few moments of silence Moreland tried again. "Hotel 5-7 respond, I repeat Hotel 5-7 are you ok?"

The radio crackled to life but it wasn’t Hotel 5-7 that responded. "This is Hotel 5-8, we saw 5-7 get clipped, it took out his radio so he is comms black over"

"Damn it! Ok thanks 5-8, update me if the situation with 5-7 changes" Just as Moreland placed the radio handset back down did an RPG fly from a building directly above the convoy. Morelands world slowed down as he saw the RPG twisting and turning heading straight for the convoy. The world exploded back into real time as the RPG connected with the roof of the fifth vehicle in the convoy, the command vehicle. The explosive head must of found a weakness in the armour as the vehicle exploded in a massive fire ball sending it spiralling into a nearby building.

"Shit! This is Hotel 5-1 to all Hotel 5 Victors, Floor it! Head for LR-5 at full speed! Forget about 5-5 they are gone, we need to get out of here now!" Switching his radio back to the command net, "C2 this is Hotel 5, Hotel 5-5 has been destroyed, no survivors expected, we are accelerating for LR-5 we could use some air cover"

"Confirmed C2, AH-1Zs en-route! Light up any targets with IR strobes and then clear the area. ETA 10 minutes"

"Thank you C2, tell the flyboys to hurry up!" Moreland looked up from where he was re-loading his MAC-303 to see that LR_5 was only a few meters away. Tapping his driver on the shoulder he pointed to the front entrance and yelled "This is it! Pull up and take up defensive positions we need to CASEVAC a priority casualty"

The seven remaining RG32Ms pulled up in front of LR-5 there men piling out and taking up cover, using their vehicles doors, rubble and any other form of cover. Brass casings began littering the tarmac around LR-5 as the Marines began returning fire with as much force as possible. They insurgents had taken out one of their own vehicles and now they were pissed. Moreland however was just tired, he climbed out of his vehicle and just leaned against it, he had only been on the ground for an hour and a half and already one of his longest standing friends the leftenant that had been on Hotel 5-5 was dead. If the Sutufinai & Telvarians wanted him they could find him.

Major Khaz yelled to the Lingard officer over the sound of the 30mm cannon of a AH-1Z opening up in defence of the gate.

Meanwhile in the radio room, Major Khop was watching over all incoming radio traffic. The requests from the United States of PA came in just as he was standing over the caster set. Being an international transmission he immediately passed it up the chain of command up to Brigadier-General Garrison at the JOC. Within the minute he received his reply, picking up the radio handset he sent a wide band message to the United States of PA forces.

"Colonel Moore you are cleared to land at the docks, we have set aside a warehouse for your men and a parking lot to act as a landing pad. Sutufinai Cavalry
The Sutfen Cavalry Unit overall had no real heavy casualties at first. The fact they had more manueverability, body armor, and could get to places the trucks could not. However, one of the rear trucks in the convoy would find out just how much blood was in one of these beasts when an RPG hit the beast itself as the Cavalryman and his mount were caught between the launcher and the truck. The pall of flame was nothing compared to the fact that a tidal wave of Blood, gore, and other bits and pieces literally crested against the windshield before washing off the vehicle to either side.

Another Cavalry-beast would have it's legs damn-near shot out from it. It landed and the cavalryman was thrown off. A single shot put the beast outo f it's misery as the Cavalryman grabbed a ride from one of the Convoy's truck and began putting his rifle fire in addition to theirs.

Two out of Ten cavalry beasts were taken out. Three out of 10 Cavalrymen were either badly wounded or killed.

LR-5

When the Convoy came into view the Snipers and heavy weapons would begin opening up. The unit had decided from what it was hearing that rubber bullets were not the way to handle this... The whole unit opened up with lethal rounds.

"Shit Chief, what we need here is for this place to have mortars or a cannon 're sumptin!" Shouted a private over the din of sustained fire from the building.

The chief barked over the gunfire, "No, what we need here is a fookin' Artillery company to level this damned city!"

The chief's remark was replied to by laughs across the defending positions that, try as it might, could not be downed out by the gunfire.

It soon became apparent that the "Rioters" couldn't hit the Sutfen position, so they pulled back. This gave the Convoy and it's guards a respite and even some quiet. However the Sutfen quickly loaded their own wounded aboard the convoy, and then, retook their positions.

"You guys get out of here. We'll hold this position in the hopes of securing a way into the airport if you can ever get a large force down here. Now go!" Shouted the chief as he pointed to the somewhat-for-now clear road.

C2 Bird orbiting LR-5

"C2 to JOC, Hotel 5 is ready to move to FOB Dragon, we have five KIA, four Code ones, three Code twos and four code fives."

"Confirmed C2, get that convoy oscar-mike with in 5 minutes, we need to get those casualties CASEVACed, I have helicopters from the Otter standing by at FOB Dragon to MEDEVAC them back here."

"Solid Copy JOC, Hotel 5 to be oscar-mike in five minutes. Any update on FHQ Foxbat, my radio link with them is on the fritz, possible local area jamming"

"FHQ Foxbat is secure however they are cut off by road blocks, we are diverting all returning units to FOB Dragon, also be advised the hospital facilities on the Otter can only take so many and they are already filling up from civilian and Lingard casualties, the Regimental Aid Post is also having trouble keeping up with the influx of casualties. We have got two C-130s orbiting the area with enough fuel for 3 hours left. They have enough equipment to set up a fully fledged combat hospital, however we have no where for them to land. We need that airport secure, we are preparing D Company to deploy and secure the airport but they need at least another hour to get ready. See what you can do for the mean time, JOC out"

"Solid Copy JOC, C2 Out" Anderson yet again looked down at the situation in the city. From up in the C2 bird he could easily pick out the separate troop movements across the city. He saw troops doing fast rope assaults on one building and a few blocks down he saw two AH-6s conducting strafing runs in support of pinned down Military Police. Returning to the matter at hand he opened up the radio link with Hotel 5.

"Attention Hotel 5-1, JOC says you are to have those casualties oscar-mike in five minutes. Also we need to secure that airport. JOC has D company getting ready but their ETA is one hour so you are going to have to hold out. C2 out"

Staff Sergeant Moreland had been inspecting the damage done to the vehicle of Hotel 5-7. It was clear that the RG32M wasn't going anywhere, Moreland was surprised that it had made it to LR-5 and the safety of the covering fire from the Telvarians and Sutufinai. He looked up from the vehicle to see the large canines loading there injured onto the middle vehicles. Most armed forces probably would of been slightly worried by the sight of these large anthromorphic canines, however the Wolf Hold had there share of experiences with such people and were more then used to working with them. He began to walk towards the Sutufinai who was quite obviously the leader but before he reached him his radio began squawking, pressing the receive button on the side of his radio he listened to the C2s communication, as he was informed of the fact that he would have to hold the airport he began searching over the surrounding territory for possible defensive positions.

"Solid Copy C2, Convoy to be oscar-mike in five minutes and remaining troops to hold the airport." Moreland cut the link and began yelling orders to his men. He planned to send all the convoy back with minimum security and strip four of the vehicles of there 50 calibre HMGs, vehicle seven would be used as an extra piece of cover around LR-5. After three minutes of yelling orders, each of the six reaming RG32Ms had a driver and gunner, the ones with wounded had a CMT each. Moreland ran to the front of the convoy and banged on the door "Okay get going, your heading for FOB Dragon, C2 will direct you" 1st Wolf Martins (An honorary sergeant rank) nodded and he hit the accelerator and headed for the airport exit with the rest of the convoy behind him. "This is call sign Wolverine 1 to C2, Hotel 5 has left the airport under command of 1st Wolf Martins, proceeding to secure LR-5 and link up with Sutufinai ground elements"

This left Staff Sergeant Moreland with twenty-five men, multiple light squad weapons and four 50 calibre heavy machine guns. As his men began organising them selves in the recent lapse in contacts, he headed towards LR-5 and began looking for the Sutufinai ground element commander, catching the attention of a rather tall canine "Staff Sergeant Moreland, Wolf Hold Marine corps, can you take me to your OC?"

THe tall canine plinked off a few more M1 Garand shots off at the the opposing buildings before he crouched behind some psuedo covering positions and looked at Moreland. "Corporal Ashton, Good t'meet you Sergeant. The Warrant officer is just inside. Keep your head down and I'll take you to him." The Sutfen waved for Moreland to follow as he yelled to the second floor. "Covering fire, if you please!"

Above them the Sutfen began opening up with the deep "Thump" of BARs and the two M240s rattling away.

The Corporal began packing it across to the front door, dropping litterally to all fours to get just a little more speed before he came to a stop with a skid and began poppin off random shots into the opposing buildings to let the Staff Sergeant cross behind him.

Inside the building was the CP, bunkered in behind and around the front desk of the building was a pair of soldiers acting as guards while inside the Warrant Officer was yelling over an old decrepit radio as he tried his best to get through to his Commanders back at the Sutufinai Steamer. Which had since pulled away from dock and was awaiting a Sutufinai Armed Steamer to arrive sometime soon, having been pulled off it's convoy escort duties.

"Okay Corporal lead the way"

Moreland followed the canine through the building, watching as the other Sutufinai soldiers gave covering fire with rather old and obsolete weapons. However there courage and tenacity was just as good as his own men. As violence had started up again he flicked the transmit switch on his cross-com HUD eye/ear piece "Everyone get inside the building, take cover and return fire, 50 cal teams are to set up where they can and give supporting fire. Check your fire arcs with the Sutufinai troops and remember only shoot at those with weapons, we are still operating in a police capacity here"

Moreland followed the Corporal up to the second floor. As he approached the command post, he noticed out of a window a rioter hefting what looked to be a FGM-148 Javelin. He knew for a fact that the penetrating head of the missile would tare through the building. Raising his MAC-303 quickly, using a spoken command he designated the rioter through his cross-comm. Within seconds the "thump, thump, thump" of a 50 calibre heavy machine gun could be herd and the rioters body disintegrated under the force of the 50 BMG shells. Nodding to himself he continued into the command post. Seeing the Warrant Officer busy on the radio he went to a window and observing the scene below, it appeared that with the absence of the convoy the assault had been renewed.

"We have Lingard troops inbound. Hold the fort people!" Shouted the Warrant officer as he lifted a more "Modern" assault rifle. It was an Endicott Arms E24 Bullpup AR. He popped off a few shots, careful semi-automatic fire, that mirrored a soldier who had grown up firing Semi-automatic rifles with careful marksmanship.

Above, a yell of, "CLEAR!" before a thunderous roar could be heard. Somewhere, a Sutfen had gotten ahold of a World War Era Bazooka and was putting it to obvious use against a nearby house when it's front exploded outwards onto the street.

The Warrant Officer tossed up a wave to the Sergeant, "Chief Farnham, Just call me 'Chief'. We're holding this position well, and the Lingard military is moving in some troops to support us. But all in all my men are getting antsy and are beginning to request to fire on pretty much any non-uniformed combatant they see. I think we're gunna reach the last straw soon. My troops here, they are good troops, but their glorified Militia. They arn't happy about dying for some other country they have no stake in. If you get my meaning. Moreland was clearly pissed off and angry at the deaths of his friends but as his training and years of experience took over he began to calm down.

"Okay then Chief, you say Lingard troops are on the way? Well my orders are that I have hold this position until D company of the 15th Marine corps can deploy and help secure the airport so we can land some much needed medical supplies. I have twenty five men, four 50 Calibre M2 Heavy Machine Guns, two LAAAB-100s, five MAC-56 SAWs, one MAC-303 DMR and the rest have MAC-303 assault rifles. As the Lingard troops came pouring in to 'assist' the Sutfen and Wolf Hold troops, it quickly became apparant that the Sutfen only had a few soldier to begin with. The Sutfen -now- had just a few and the Wolf Holders were gratefully bolstering their ranks.

The Warrant officerquickly informed both Moreland and the Lingard officer that his command was in no shape to actually -retake- the Airport. The Sutfen were here to do nothing more than keep the door open for everyone else to do just that.

However, 'Chief' quickly began directing Moreland to begin emplacement of his heavy weapons to cover the Airport's Main entrance with the Sutfen snipers, the .50's would work well as heavy supression for anyone trying to enter the airport. If anyone tried to -leave- the airport, they would work well for killing those guys aswell. He also directed Moreland to emplace the SAWs to cover the airport approaches, to hold off enemy reinforcements and to support incoming friendlies. The DMR was given free-run of the building to support wherever was needed or to go hog wild against the enemy.

However, it would become quickly apparent to the DMR that half the Suften in the building could qualify as a 'Designated marksman'. Half the troops in the building had a kill radio of 1.25 bullets per kill or lower. Many of them had quick-attach/quick-detatch aftermarket scopes on their rifles. When you had bolt action or semi-automatic rifles with at most 5 to 8 bullets in a magazine for the semi-automatic weapons... You learned to make your shots count.

LR-5

For the past twenty minutes it had been relatively quiet, all of his troops were in position inside LR-5 covering all the main entrances and exits into the airport. About ten minutes earlier a platoon from E Company had fast roped into the building opposite designated LR-7 and had set up in there, also along with them some combat engineers and some sandbags. This had men they could set up some makeshift emplacements for there 50 calibre heavy machine guns. However it was clear that the PPP were in the other buildings opiate the two positions being held by loyalist forces. The odd pot shot would head towards LR-5 or LR-7 every few minutes and with only thirty minutes to go before D company turned up an RPG was fired at an emplacement on the roof of LR-5. It the sudden lull, Moreland went to find the Sutufinai chief. As he walked through the building his men nodded to him and saluted as the stood or crouched at windows, shoulder to shoulder with the Sutufinai troops. It pleased him to see the two groups mixing so well, it was an unusual mix. The Force Recon troops with there cross-com HUDs, Wolverine comms gear and high tech weaponry standing next to the tall and muscular Sutufinai with there WWII era weaponry and equipment. Moreland walked up behind his designated marksman who was working together with a Sutufinai marksman, deciding it was probably better to leave the two alone he continued through the building in search of the Sutufinai chief. In his search for the ‘Chief’ he came across one of the forward observers for calling in the cruise missile strikes from the Cruisers sitting off-shore.

“1st Wolf Carmine, how are you holding up?”
“Very good sir, although these god damned insurgents are pissing me off, I want permition to call in a cruise missile strike on the building designated LR-10”
“Well you are the soldier with eyes on the ground, do you think that the ROE gives you permition to call in a strike? Do you believe the building to be a significant threat to warrant cruise missiles?”
“Yes sir, the building…..” before Carmine could finish, Moreland cut him off.
“I trust you Carmine. Call it in” As Carmines eyes lit up, Moreland walked backwards slightly and set his radio to broadcast. “Attention all Force Recon inside LR-5 and LR-7, get yourselves and our Sutufinai allies into cover, incoming cruise missile strike inbound on LR-10!” As Moreland crouched behind a window he heard Carmine calling in the strike.

“This is Wolverine 5-5 FO, requesting cruise missile strike on building labelled LR-10, danger close, I repeat danger close, launch authority 15269 Charlie, confirm Otter FSC”

“Otter FSC confirms, danger close, cruise missile inbound”

“Target is lit up for you! Shatter there skies Otter!” Carmine looked away from the radio and yelled “INBOUND, Heads down!”

The F-35Vs came in low, dropped their bombs, kiling or wounding about 120 Insurgents, came around, and killed their entire ammo supply in 1 run, killing or wounding about another 120 insurgents, but there were still 100s left

OOC:
I feel like some comedy right now. Please excuse.

LR-5
A group of Sutfen were working away on the roof of the building. They had a stack of M67 fragmentation grenades. One of them was holding an aluminum baseball bat he'd scrounged from somewhere... The others were tying the pins to fishing-line (Essential Sutfen equipment. Due to their love of Guerrilla Tactics.)...

"Clear!" Yelled the first Sutfen as he wheeled for the pitch... and tossed the grenade at the "batter" sutfen, and the point where the fishing-line was tied. It was obvious the "Pitcher" would've had a spot in the Majors had he not been sutfen, and stuck in a third world nation.

The grenade hit the baseball bat a 95 miles per hour and sailed off in the direction of the an enemy building. The grenade's force easily pulled the un-bent pin of the grenade via the fishing-line. the grenade's spoon came off and the grenade went sailing into an enemy-controlled building, making a hearty, airborne *boom*!

...
Of course these Hi-jinks had the two Sutfen militiamen being chewed out by their sergeant who was all too happy to rip them new ones verbally... But overall Suften were cracking up and cheering over it.

As funny as it was, it was highly impractical and the Sutfen were lucky the grenade didn't blow up in their faces... They also made themselves sniper-bait standing on the roof of the building... Suffice to say it didn't happen twice.

When the call for everyone to take cover and hit the deck came, the massive Sutfen did a remarkably well job making themselves "small" behind the sturdiest structures they could find.

When the cruise missile came roaring in and blew the building apart, it was quickly apparent one Sutfen hadn't done the best job as his leg had been sticking out... His nee was shattered.

The Medic quickly pulled him back into the forward aid station in the building and began trying his best to patch him up...

But other than the cries of pain from the wounded Sutfen, another yell came through the silence... It was the hearty, full throated shout of the "Chief". "I'M GET ME ONNA THOSE! HELL YEAH!" was boomed out of the canine's massive lungs as he cheered loudly, causing the rest of the Sutfen to take up the cheer as well, howls, barked, hyena like cackles, or just human-like cheering rose from the Sutfen positions!

However, through the dust, the sutfen marksmen began opening up against targets flushed by the cruise missile. Unlike the Normal sutfen (Would could easily be classed as marksmen), these sutfen 'Designated' marksmen were wielding Small Magazine Lee Enfields (SMLE) with scopes. However, one out of every eight Sutfen was a "Designated Marksman". With the exception of quick-release scopes on after-market rail systems that regular troopers mounted on their rifles, which made them the equivalent of the designated marksmen aswell.

LR-5

The cruise missile was fired from the WHS Otter, a modified Albion-Class Landing Platform Dock. Instead of a landing pad it had a set of vertical launch systems. The Thomawk Cruise Missile arced high in the air before locating its target. As it vectored in the fire controllers on the WHS Otter constantly corrected its course as it homed in on the designated building. As the final corrections were plotted in, all that had to happen was the missile to exploded which it did in spectacular fashion. The high-explosive warhead completely destroyed the building and damaged the surrounding PPP held buildings, the white-phosphorus inside the warhead had set fire to the remains of the building and a great big black plume of smoke was sent into the skies as secondary explosions increased the fires scope.

Meanwhile the occupants of LR-5 and LR-7 were picking themselves up from the explosion. At the same time of the cheers and shouts of the Sutufinai, cheers from the Wolf Hold troops were clear as well. Carmine was ecstatic, he was only 19, he had made the honorary rank of 1st Wolf and now he had just called in and witnessed such destruction. Getting back on the radio to the WHS Otter he called in the fire report. "Wolverine 5-5 FO to Otter FSC, strike was super effective. Target has been destroyed, I repeat target has been destroyed"

"Confirmed Wolverine FO, do you require follow up strikes?"

"Negative Otter FSC, thanks for the assist, Wolverine FO out" Carmine after carefully making sure the link was dead let out one almighty shout. "TAKE THAT ASSHOLES! COURTSY OF THE WOLF HOLD! F*** YEAH" As the marksmen resumed firing, the Force Recon troops began retaking there positions. The Designated Marksman also resumed fire alongside the 50 calibres who were using thermals to see through the dust. As the 'thump' of the heavy machine guns resumed, Moreland decided to go looking for the Sutufinai chief. He thought he would try the aid station, poking his head round the corner of the aid station, not really noticing what was going on in there.

"Any of you seen the Chief? I..." Finally noting the wounded Sutufen he stopped mid sentence "Shit....." Removing his head he turned to the general direction of where he remembered his medic last. "Corpsman needed in the aid station!" As the call was passed along the net, Moreland walked fully into the aid station. "you guys need a CASEVAC? I an get you one?" As he finished speaking the force recon medic pushed passed him and turned to the Sutufinai medic. "What up with him? Anything other then that obvious shattered knee?"
