Due to a recent incident at the fourth planet, involving an unauthorized explorer in our space and the retaliation against the Torturous Chamberlain Ships Weisen and Wotan, a state of war must be declared. The explorer, the UHS Valiant, attempted to take out key parts of the TCS Weisen after repeated warnings to leave. This triggered a battle, in which the Valiant was destroyed, but then a larger United Battlehawk fleet just out of hyperspace tried to destroy our cruisers. They managed to blow up the Weisen and heavily damage the Wotan. This actively hostile act has triggered an extreme erosion in Battlehawk's intentions towards Torturous Chamber, and we must declare war. Diplomacy has been cut off, and our embassy has been evacuated. Reply if you wish to surrender, but stay silent if you wish to be destroyed.

OOC: I would rather you not play as the terrorist Legion, but as your own country. You can choose a side if you want(I would prefer it be mine, as Battlehawk is a much bigger country)

OOC-The Legion IS my country. And I might just stay out of it, since we're fighting already. But I might pop in later. I'm a bit overstretched right now, too many threads, not enough time...

ooc: ROFL!!! You just had a wargame with him. If it is ok, I'll side with BH and negotiate it so I get 1/10th of the spoils when he crushes you, if he finds this thread.

OOC: I don't really play as the tracker portrays my nation, though. I just play as a nation a little bit smaller than him.

IC:

The Corvalas System, the Location of Starbase Two, was the Stageing area for the gathering fleet. It's location near to the new found enemies space was ideal for defensive measures. Much of the Starfleet was here, THough Ten Valiant Class ships were still on patrol in other parts of the PR.
The Expected Fleet Numbers (Which allow for a strong Offesnive force and a strong defensive of all core systems)

The Gathering fleet was protected by a series of sensor beacons spread throughout the system to allow early warning of any incoming Chamberlin Vessels. The Gathering fleet would be split down into battlegroups for forays into enemy space.

The Ship yards of Starbase Two had been pushed into overdrive and were produceing more ships than they were designed to.

ooc: Idk, but wouldn't it be a little bit godmodding to say that your nation has 300 million more than the count says? But oh well.

The Mewsland Starship Voyager rocketed toward the Corvalas System, along with two other Voyager-class starships ( a good chunk larger and more powerful than the Valiant class of Starfleet (OOC: The Battlehawk)) as this mission was given top priority. However, as they warped by a system none too far from Corvalas, a ship was noted, exactly matching the description of the ship which attacked the Valiant.

Mew) What the heck was that!?

Security officer) It matches the specifications of the ship which destroyed the Valiant.

Mew) Give it some space, we don't need any problems.

A small Chamberlain task force was on patrol on the outskirts of the Corvalas system. They had been informed of the destruction of the Valiant, but not the declaration of war. A state of alert was on, but they did not know what had happened. The force was made up of:

2 aircraft carriers(carries 12 squadrons fighter and 12 attack aircraft)
4 battleships(2 squadrons each)
4 heavy cruisers(1 squadron fighter)
5 light cruisers(6 fighter planes)
8 destroyers(2 fighter planes)

Starbase Two, Operations Centre

A Console light was blinking slowly. One of the officers looked at it and read the accomping report and turned to the Base CO.
"Sir, Sensor Bouy 21 detects Chamberlain ships, on the outskirts of the system" The Technition reported.
The CO got onto the fleet wide comm channel "General Quarter all hands, man your battlestaitons, this is not a drill!"
The Fleet began to get into a better tactical formtation, but stayed near the station for now.

"Admiral Ufilla, we have spotted a large fleet on radar, should we hail them?"

"I will." He got on the radio. "Come in, this is Admiral Ufilla of the Chamberlain Navy. Please identify yourself and your business here."

UHS Enterprise, Fleet Flagship

"They've got some bloody cheek" Jessica commented scatherly as she listened to the message.
"Open Frequency" Tom Ordered
"Open" Dannielle said.
"Chamberlain fleet, you are in Plantery Republic Space, lower shields, stand down weapons and prepare to be boarded" Tom said.

"As I recall, we are on the border, and are not in your space. Also, may I inquire why you are ordering us to do what you say and submit to boarding? Just because a little fight happened in a far-off galaxy doesn't mean that you can start thinking we are all terrorists out to get you and your nice planetary republic."

"Don't try and Trick us Chamberlain, we are at war, if you do not submit to boarding we will destry you" Tom said, sending a document of the war

"War?" the Admiral was confused. "What do you mean? There was the Valiant incident, but war?"

"Apparently your government tried to cover their own backsides by declareing war on the PR before we could declare against you" Tom commented

"What the..." he was amazed. "How could that be? It was a little explorer incident. Anyway, are you going to have to take us prisoner?"

"As Prisonors of war, don't worry, we're not as Barbaric as your Government seems to think we are, you'd be well treated" Tom replied as teh Enterprise and part of the fleet got closer to the Chamberlain fleet

"We will not let you take our ships!" the Admiral was very protective of his fleet.

He turned to his aid. "Brown, have carriers ready to launch aircraft in the inner hangers. They won't be able to detect that. Also, have destroyers be ready to initiate a Panama maneuver."

"Are you sure that's a good idea sir?"

"Do it, Brown!"

"Yes sir!" the lieutenant carried out the orders.

OOC: Panama Maneuver: If you've ever seen the movie 'Sahara', you know what it is. It's pretty much when the ship rigs its reactor/engine to blow up when it crashes into another ship.

"Damn" Tom said as the other ship cut communications "Deploy the frigates to provide cover fire, move the destroyers and Crusiers in closer and target their oppistate number, take out their escorts, the Valiants and the Enterprise will target the Battleships and the Carriers, all ships Couga Manever"

The Fleet broke from formation and kicked up their engines to Full impulse and began to dart around space. As soon as they were in weapons range they opened fire. A withering strom of Phaser and Photon torpedos fired from the Fleet as they darted around the enemy ships.

OOC: I didn't attack. He sent a transmission to his other ships to be READY to carry out his orders. There is no visible evidence that you can see.

OOC: You cut transmissions though didn't you? THat's sort of a provocation

Voyager arrived at the Corvalas system at the exact moment that the Starfleet requested. But it was empty. No ships whatsoever. A small storm of sensor data showed that there was weapons fire nearby.

Mew) Where are they?

Operations officer) Unknown. However, there is a storm of weapons fire no more than one eighth light year away.

Mew) Lay in a course. Shields up, alert level Orange.

OOC: TC, do you want me to RETCON my fleet opening fire then or what?

Mew) What the-?

The scene of the battle was horrible. Tons of weapons fire was decimating both sides of the battle, both Starfleet and Chamberlain alike. Voyager suddenly noted a building energy signature in some of the Chamberlain ships.

Mew) Send a message to the Starfleet ships NOW! Tell them some of the Chamberlain ships are rigged to blow!

Communications) Channel open.

Mew) This is Mew Meow of the Mewsland starship Voyager to all Starfleet ships. Please respond, this is urgent.

There is a brilliant flash of light as a PPN Light Cruiser drops out of Warshawski drive, and brings up its impeller bands and sidewalls. A com signal pings both sides, inquiring as to the purpose of the battle raging before it.

((Most likely Battlehawk, I only have a small force equipped with the new tech right now.))

IC) The Mewsland ships sent a ping right back to the Penguin Protection ship, stating that they were uncertain as to the purpose of the battle, yet stated quite clearly that the Torturous Chamberlains were the aggressors and sent back logs of comm traffic to prove it.

OOC: Now for a little background on PPSS technology. FTL drive and sublight work on the same basic principle, the grav node. It generates an intense gravity field a set distance from the ship, pulling itself along. By re-configuring the impeller wedge, it is possible to travel faster than light. Shielding is also provided because the gravity field bends laser weaponry, and can destroy solids. However, it only provides cover to the top and bottom of the ship.

"Oh damn it" Tom said "Chamberlain, be reasonable, you are at a tactical disadvantage, think of your crews"

"Chamberlain, this is your last chance, stand down your weapons, lower shields and prepare to be boarded" Tom said once more

"We will do as you ask, but only if we are let free to go, and not be made prisoners of war. We will not accept that, and a slaughter of us would not look good on Battlehawk politics. It would gain you many enemies."

"Very well" Tom said after thinking "But next time we meet, we are at war"

"You may count on that." The fleet turned around and sailed back towards their nearby base, where they were to rendezvous with the Home Fleet.

Voyager continued transmitting messages, trying to reach the Battlehawk ships.

Mew) Voyager to Enterprise. Come in Enterprise. Darn! They need to be out there somewhere. We were told they would be here by now.

The Home System of Torturous Chamber was in a rush. Ships were being built, soldiers were being deployed, and the entire Home Fleet floated above the system. It consisted of:

240 aircraft carriers, each with 12 Phoenix squadrons and 12 Zeio attack bomber squadrons(Flagship TCS Hegemony)

460 battleships, each with 2 squadrons of each type of aircraft

6700cruisers, each with 1 squadron of Phoenixes

13400 destroyers, each with 2 Phoenixes

4000 transports, each with 1000 men OR 75 tanks and crews OR 50 artillery pieces and crews.

1200 assorted ships, including medical, repair, survivor collectors, etc.

ooc: tell me if you think it is not the right size

The Armed Republic of Torturous Chamber is considering rescinding its previous declaration.
