OOC: With that price they don't sound to be particularily reliable, especially seeing they're newly built ships, whereas mine are used. Pics?
Defense Corporations
23-03-2009, 23:05
OOC: No pictures, sadly. You're right - the ships (with the exception of the HS-12s and AS-709s, which are actually reasonably priced) aren't too reliable, and don't do well in rough seas, as they're poor seakeepers. Cheap designs, but with hidden costs. There are some savings in labor costs, but not sufficient savings to justify some of the prices - particularly for my destroyer; thus, cheaper, lower-quality materials are presumably used.
In general, anything posted to my new catalog (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=587171) is a sound design. So the ammunition is good, as are the corvettes and aircraft. It's just the other ships that suck.
I'm in the process of redesigning my ships, which will include a reassessment of pricing. By the time the new ships are ready to sell, perhaps Lingards will be ready for a proper navy, rather than a green-water navy with limited blue-water capability?

The Commonwealth would like to bid it's own carrier, the Gibraltar-class (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13973436&postcount=29) for use by your navy. At $4.9 billion USD, the Gibraltar is the epitome of modern carrier design. It can come equipped with Rafale-B and F/A-18E fighters, as well as Su-33K's or our own F-43C Sleipnir stealth fighters. We hope for a pleasant response.

Subject: Naval Purchases
Dear Sir,
It was been brought to our attention that your government has submitted bids for the acquisition of various types of Naval vessels under the following requirements: One Aircraft Carrier (With Aircraft), Four Cruisers, Eight Destroyers, Eight Frigates and Two Attack Submarines. While, we are hesitant to offer specify suggestions without additional information on what specific capabilities in the above listed vessels you are looking for, we do however have a few suggestions to help you in your decision process.
Instead, of specific vessels we submit our offer of two Naval Packages to choose from. The First Package known as the Carrier Battle Group covers the following- 2 Carriers, 2 Cruisers, 8 Destroyers, 10 Frigates, 2 Nuclear Attack Submarines and 1 Supply Class AOE Auxiliary. Though, we regret to inform you that aircraft are not include with this package, at a price of $25.9 billion USD, this package should leave your budget with more then enough funds to purchase aircraft of your choosing.
Our Second Package offer is known as the Small Naval Package 2 and covers the following- 4 Carriers, 8 Amphibious/Assault Ships, 6 Battleships or Cruisers, 10 Destroyers, 12 Frigates, 6 Nuclear Attack Submarines, 12 Patrol Craft and/or Missile Boats, 8 Mine Warfare Vessels, 8 Fleet Auxiliaries, 40 Naval Fighters and 84 Naval Helicopters. At a price of $73.52 billion USD, while a little more expense then our other package suggestion and including a few additional items not specifically requested by you, this package offers you the best value in our opinion by giving you additional capabilities like supply ships for building that Blue Water Navy your nation so desires.
Finally, by selecting one of the above packages, your free to select the vessels that most meet your exacting specifications that we offer for sale in each of their respective categories. Our full Naval Catalogue can be found at the following link (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10515828&postcount=5), while a list of other packages we offer can be found here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10518559&postcount=7). Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Nicholas Stevens

information on RTNV Victory:
RTNV victory is the first and oldest aircraft carrier of republic of tubaui, and the only indigenously produced aircraft carrier in tubaui.
Victory is a centaur class aircraft carrier, commissioned in April 1949, taking the entire tubaui’n navy budget three years to complete (January 1946-april 1949).
It served with distinction from 1949 through to 1957, during which time it acted as a force of power-projection to other naval powers.
In 1957, the 2nd tubaui’n civil war broke out and RTNV victory served as the flagship of the liberal navy, and, as of the end of the war in 1960, one of the three remaining liberal vessels still afloat.
After the reinstatement of the government in 1960, it was decided that RTNV victory needed a major refit to complement the new navy that was being built.
The refit was completed in 1964, due to the fact that the defence forces continued under a wartime budget until 1966, so as to build a fully equipped navy. The refit included installation of a massive Type 984 'searchlight' 3D radar.
In 1988, the ship was once again converted from a commando helicopter carrier to an V/STOL ski jump carrier. This recomissioning had allowed victory to be V/STOL jet capable, with the installation of a 12’ ski ramp that allows the BAE sea harrier to launch from it.
It was put up for sale in early 2009, as of the huge growth in the naval prowess of the Tubaui’n armed forces. No nations have expressed any interest in Victory so far, though the offer shows promise.
if the transaction follows through, the aircraft supplied with RTNV Victory will be the following:
18 BAE systems Harrier GR7 series V/STOL fighters
2 Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King ASW helicopters
3 Kamov Ka-27 naval helicopters
3 MH-60R Seahawk multi-role helicopters
Information on the Type-23 (duke class) frigates will soon follow.

OCC: Sorry, about not getting a return reply up sooner, I forgot about this thread and only come across it again after I was thankfully looking through some of my old replies. If, you've moved on since the time of that post that's ok, I just thought it important to at least bring closure to your inquiry.
Payment plans are indeed available and can be as long as ten years, thirty if a loan is taken out through our company. We also like to take this time to apologize for our delay in getting back an response to you, it seems your message got lost in the chaotic system that is our company and sadly, we're still not sure how or where that happen to prevent such an instance from happening again in the future. However, you can rest assured that we are going to be more vigilant in how we here at UEMS monitor international requests and messages to lessen the chance of a repeat performance. If, you have any additional questions, let us know. We look forward from hearing from you and to any future business contracts with your government.
