I haven't seen to many interesting 'threat to every one' threads lately maybe because im blind or there just now there. So I came up with this one which I thought sounded good when I put every thing together, Basically it starts out on this small remote planet in which some type of crystal has impacted the planet and begun to spread consuming everything in its path. A research team was then sent out to check things out, the team gets swallowed up by these crystals and are trapped. When help arrives every one is found dead, butchered by something. Just when the rescue party is about to leave there attacked by a crystalline life form, they barely make it out of it alive and now this Crystal race is trying to consume everything in the galaxy and make it one with them.
Thoughts? interest?
I think ill leave this open for now until I say other wise for signing up to the idea since im trying to get a large war and yet a small war at the same time, more people means its still interesting if one disappears. However less people means the story might get more focused and less spread out.

Firstly on the threats to everyone, there's currently a Shivan invasion (although the thread seems to have been kicked back a few pages for who knows what reason).
Other than that, this reminds me very much of a character I once had... It's interesting, but highly unlikely I can involve that character in an FT fight (but two crystalline-energy life forms fighting it out? Hilarious).

I tryed one of these before with VT and i didn't really like it. Funnily enough it was pretty similar. However, if you want a 'threght to everyone' thread Vt is hosting one now (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=587482), it goes IC today

Well it's good to give people options as well, I mean my plan is that these crystals and infect and take over ships and the like which is how they would find others along with creating there own

When it comes to there offensive abilities I think they'll be able to generate some sort of energy blast or something for a ranged attack or something hmm this should be fun, hmm how they would infect technology im still trying to figure out though
