The grass was wet with dew. It was cold. She didn't mind, even though the back of her dress was now soaked and stained; such an unfitting thing for such a pretty white dress. The stars were bright, this night, and they mingled in the sky with the larger orbs of light that were the moons. Only two of them could be seen this month, but they were beautiful and blue, and illuminated the land in the absence of the sun. She loved coming here. Nobody ever came here at night, it was only during the day that the ruins were populated.

Ruins was, perhaps, not really fair. They were old, and moss covered, but they were made of a strange material not yet identified, and seemed to be incredibly complex. Smooth shapes that hid some specific purpose. A team of archaeologists, employed by Crescendo, a high-end shipper of rare artifacts and historical items, had worked almost an entire month now, attempting to excavate the place. They hadn't had any significant breakthroughs in identifying anything about the things, much to the dismay of their employers, but had been able to satisfy them and continue their work due to having uncovered several strange stones buried in the area. If anything, they would make pretty jewelry.

"Hey you!" Kara jumped to her feet upon hearing the husky voice. "What are you doing?" the guard demanded, moving the beam of his flashlight into her eyes. "Oh, um...I'm sorry, I'm leaving!" She quickly turned and ran back towards the colony. "Damn teenagers" snapped the guard as he continued his patrol. Still, he thought, it's the most excitement this job has given me so far. Who could steal these things when they're rooted to the ground, or better yet, who would want to?

"Jones, you there?" came the lazy voice from his comm. "Something going on in sector 7, check it out will you? Boss doesn't want anyone else drawing on these things." Clicking a button on his helmet, the guard gave a curt reply and began heading in the direction of the giant half-arch type thing. Who knew what it was. As he came into view of the area, he stopped, awed at the sight of electricity jumping between the ground and the top of the structure. "What in the hell.."

The guard in front of the structure would suddenly have his head kicked back as the Ranger's Long Rifle accelerated a bullet through his brain. The rifle made hardly a sound and the guards body was caught by another Ranger. They dragged his body behind a tree and kept it there. They muted his radio, so no one would hear the command asking for a report. Several more flashes and more Rangers appeared, along with squads of Striking Scorpions. They had more Aspect Warriors ready for the raid but they wanted to disable and kill the few guards on this planet and secure the ruins. They hadn't believed their luck when their Rangers had discovered these ruins and that they held spirit stones, the devices key for keeping their soul's safe from Slaanesh's hunger when they died. Unfortunately, these Mon-Keigh had discovered and colonized this planet before they had made this find. So, unfortunately, they had to kill these Mon-Keigh and retrieve the stones.

Warlock Sheriza stepped out of the Webway and the other squads nodded, acknowledging her presence. Taldeer had given her this command while she dealt with the Necrons. This was important but she couldn't spare anyone else at the moment. So, she had been sent. And she was determined not to fail. "Ranger Squads, scout the area, take out any isolated Mon-Keigh and sabotage anything you think may hinder us, such as the communications. Scorpions, you hunt down the military forces in this colony. I will handle the Mon-Keigh in the ruins." They nodded and went about their business. Several flashes occurred and Bonesingers arrived. "Come, you are needed in the ruins." They nodded and followed her as she headed into the ruins. All over the colony, stealthed figures moved about, ambushing guards and attempting to kill as many as they could find, and discreetly put the bodies away. The Scorpions moved towards the garrison and began to attempt to sneak in, slide into a good position and then kill all the guards. With these many guards dead, they'd be able to handle any of those that remained.

The Warlock walked into the ruins and found the room where the spirit stones were located. The Bonesingers began to sing, a soft yet haunting melody, and the air began to vibrate with psychic energy. Strange, white material began to appear in the air and gather together. If any of the scientists had been in the room, the Warlock then proceeded to walk over to them and hold up her pistol. "If any of you say a word, you will die. If you try to escape, you will die. Do I make myself clear?"
